Podcast: Man’s Great Achievements, Visions, and Speeches

Toppling the Mountain of a Bankrupt Culture

If you haven’t yet subscribed to my substack, kick in a few bucks and listen to this podcast. The yearly cost is $60, about what you’d pay for a Biden burger and fries at an outdoor café, where you sit with your back against a wall and keep a grenade launcher at your side to fend off muggers.

This week I’m taking off the gloves and talking about past and present great achievements of Man.

Unfortunately, many present achievements are still on the drawing boards. They’re visions, not reality.

But that doesn’t have to stop us. People need to emerge from their caves of humility and realize that The Great is still at hand. Conceivable, doable. We can climb new mountains; we can build them.

I’ll discuss the mighty construction of the Erie Canal.

The durability of the Sorbonne University, launched in 1253AD.

The triumph of George Washington and his soldiers, who crossed the Delaware River and defeated the British at Trenton.

These last two achievements have profound and stirring speeches attached to them, delivered by Teddy Roosevelt and Thomas Paine. I’ll read from those speeches, and comment at length on their language—and what has happened to it in ensuing years.

This is no small issue. When language folds up and goes on life support because children aren’t taught it, the culture disintegrates—and people can no longer envision what a rebirth would look like.

They’re cut off and isolated from greatness.

I’ll also talk about a little known achievement from the distant past: an ancient civilization of the Southwest, lost to history, who built miles and miles of water canals in the parched desert and sustained life for themselves for centuries. Those brilliant engineers did it—but we’re not supposed to. “Too complicated.”

Returning to the present, I’ll discuss several massive projects that would:

Restore abundant water to drought-suffering Western states;

Eliminate one of the major sources of death in Third World countries;

And provide electric power to communities all over the world.

These projects are large visions, and the engineering capability for them has existed for decades. What’s absent is the drive and the will and the refusal to back down to naysayers, weaklings, and purveyors of doom.

We’re smack in the middle of an era of socialism, which claims to be a kinder gentler form of government dedicated to “equality.” It’s really a tyranny pandering to victimhood as the new way of life. It’s a con that squashes achievement and freedom while promising paradise.

What is freedom for? One of the answers is: great and inspiring accomplishment.

Going down into a morass of cowardly submission and crawling around as abject “equal-itarians” fondling lowest common denominators isn’t a destiny I’m willing to accept.

Podcast: How Biden Used His Bully Pulpit Thursday

Plus: Breaking Pandemics to Pieces and How That Leads to Decentralization of Power and Well-Being; plus, Your Friendly Step-by-step Guide on How to Conduct a “Virus, No-virus” Science Debate Properly

For those of you haven’t yet subscribed to my substack, kick in a few bucks and listen to the new podcast. Subscribing for a whole year is $60, which is about the cost of three soggy inflated Biden pancakes with fake whipped cream and a cup of coffee at an outdoor café in a big city.

First up in this week’s podcast: Biden’s bully pulpit speech Thursday night.

How effective was it? What were his handlers and writers trying to do? Did they succeed?

I’ve been writing about how bully pulpits can be used by real leaders. How they can connect with millions of people and turn around this destructive culture.

So I’ll examine what Biden did, by contrast, using tactics designed to perpetuate and expand the destructive culture. His speech was a major move on the political chess board.

Know your opponent. Know his tricks of language.

These speeches are planned like tourist boat rides along rivers. What do you want the customers to see first on the shore? What should their first impression be? If you hook them with that, what’s next?

Professionals make these decisions. They may be crazy, but they aren’t stupid.

I’ll examine how the pros handled their work last Thursday. And what their next moves might be.

There are parallels to the “mood” created in 1995, prior to the Oklahoma City Bombing. I investigated and wrote about that event/operation at the time.

Are we in store for a major false flag in 2022?

I’ve also been writing about decentralization these days:

Taking the power which top-down government has stolen from the people and putting it back with the people.

An exceptionally clear illustration of this process can be seen in so-called pandemics.

I’m going to talk about that in this week’s podcast:

Decentralizing pandemics.

I’ll lay out their basic shape—which is INVENTED as a medical propaganda construct—and then take apart that construct like a prefabricated house. And lay the pieces on the ground so we can look at each piece.

Whether we’re talking about 2003 SARS or 2009 Swine Flu or 2020 COVID, the houses are built the same way.

This fact has tremendous implications for individual illness, which is really the decentralized reality, and has nothing to do with the medical construct.

The power to produce fear, to run tests, to diagnose, to prescribe, to treat, to enforce restrictions—all that is centralized power at the top.

The power to understand and to heal—is decentralized at the level of the individual.

And the healing is not the same for every individual.

Far from it.

I’ll discuss THAT as well.

And finally, I’ll expand my position on how a real debate about the existence of the COVID virus, SARS-CoV-2, should be conducted, since actual science is the goal.

As opposed to a beauty pageant on video.

The more I’ve thought about the form of the debate, the more I see how it can draw in MANY people, create major interest, and wake people up to their own rational capacities—never a bad thing.

When you engage people with a real investigation, they often prove themselves to be far more capable than imagined. That’s a very good thing.

Lots to look at and analyze this week.

Join me.

Podcast: The Bully Pulpit That Saved The World

And Other Astonishing Tales of Redemption

by Jon Rappoport

(To join our email list, click here.)

…So throw in a few bucks for a subscription and listen to the podcast. If you go for the yearly version, you get two months free, and the whole thing runs you 60 bucks, which is the price of a microscopic piece of steak these days under the Obama (oops, I mean Biden) administration.

I dare say I’m posting more original writing than anybody on substack.

In the podcast, I’m going to shoot blue flames out of my head on the following topics:

What a modern bully pulpit is, and how people with big audiences can use it every day to turn around the giant oil tanker called CULTURE, and put us back on the right track. Believe it, because it’s true.

If you don’t like real solutions, and prefer to be titillated by endless problems, I’m not your guy. But I’ll tell you this. A real solution, when it’s just a few clicks away, is WAY MORE THRILLING than the problems.

You remember THRILLING, don’t you? It’s the kind of thing that puts you up on a rooftop overlooking a city with your hair on fire and the knowledge that all that space out there can be bathed in freedom and achievement and electric dreams coming true. YOUR dreams. The dreams that used to make you jump out of bed in the morning like a tiger.

Then I’m also going to talk about THE TRUMP PHENOMENON and what it really means, no matter what happens to The Donald. Nobody else will cover this story the way I do—and you’ll know that when you listen to me talk about it. Yeah, it’s another big-baller of a solution in the making, and it’s only an inch away.

Next up, I’ll talk about THE REAL PRESIDENT again. This is a controversial subject, because such a man would cut through and shred the modern mechanical mind that is married to, and obsessed by, DATA.

Have you ever felt, down deep, that a person was talking to you about the most important issues in the world, and he was making all the right points, but he sounded like another college grad liberal IN THE WAY HE WAS TALKING—and after a while he put you to sleep?

This is a DISEASE. A mind can be entirely correct and still be a machine, in which case nothing changes. We just go around in circles. The solution is: talking from another place in the mind, soul, and emotions…a place that cuts THE MECHANICAL to pieces.

THIS is what the subject of psychology should be all about. I’ll explain. In the process, I’ll take up the topic of “obscene language.” It’s relevant, trust me.

Finally, I’ll cover what, at first glance, might seem to be a minor story: the refusal to let unvaccinated Novak Djokovic play in the upcoming US Open tennis tournament in New York. This is really a story that peels the lid off a stunning can of worms. The revelations confirm how close we could be to staging a successful mind-searing revolution.

Shake loose a few bucks, subscribe, and listen. This podcast is a humdinger.

Teaching Reading Again: The Struggle

by Jon Rappoport

August 18, 2022

(To join our email list, click here.)

Time Magazine reports there is an internal struggle among teachers and school systems across America—in an attempt to turn back the clock and teach the basics of reading to first and second grade students.

It seems that phonics was dropped by the side of the road years ago, because many teachers didn’t have the patience for it. They wouldn’t go through the laborious step by step process of imparting the basic sounds of letters and letter combinations to young minds.

And trying to read without learning those sounds is a complete failure for all but a relatively few students.

But now, phonics is on the way back in some school districts. I guess it’s too embarrassing to show parents reading-test scores that come in lower than sea-bottom.

I recall learning phonics day after day in the first and second grade, in 1943 and 1944.

Memo to school boards buying text books these days: We had no text books.

The teacher taught phonics using the blackboard.

When we’d progressed far enough, we read, bit by bit, from Dick and Jane books. And those books weren’t new. They were handed down from class to class every year.

My earliest memory of reading instruction (first grade): Each student had a little box containing small squares of cardboard. On each square was a letter. The teacher printed a simple sentence on the blackboard. We dug into our boxes, pulled out the squares, and laid out that sentence on our desks.

Those were the primitive conditions of yesteryear.

They were more than adequate. The TEACHERS were the key.

As we moved up from grade to grade, there was the excitement of knowing we could go to the school library, find books, check them out, and read them. We knew how to read.

When I was 11, I was on a baseball team playing in a tournament in Niagara Falls. Just before climbing on the bus for the long ride back to New York, I ran into a store, spotted a book rack, and grabbed a paperback.

It was Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles.

Reading it on the way home, I thought about becoming a writer for the first time.

I still remember my first grade teacher, Miss Hampe. She was patient, disciplined, and kind. No student ever considered getting around her and avoiding schoolwork.

The child geniuses who inhabit classrooms these days can call us prisoners. But we did eventually throw off our chains.

When we were ready. When we had learned enough.

And no moron or monster ever asked us, “Have you thought about what gender you are?”

Now this is what I’d call a Civil War

Against all Americans, regardless of political beliefs

The ‘mental health issues’ scam: a deep dive into the underlying crimes and the self-appointed “rulers of the mind”

Advisory[dot]com, December 14, 2016: “An estimated 40 million Americans take psychiatric drugs.”

by Jon Rappoport

August 17, 2022

(To join our email list, click here.)

In the wake of the FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, major media have been pushing and pushing the narrative that “extremist right-wing groups are calling for violence…Civil War…”

Well, here is a Civil War already in progress. It’s been going on for decades.

ONE:

A point before I dive into this grotesque subject. Suddenly withdrawing from psychiatric drugs can be dangerous and even life-threatening. Withdrawal needs to be conducted gradually by a professional who knows what he’s doing. See breggin.com for more information about this.

All right, here we go:

Society is now celebrating people who say they have mental health issues.

Athletes who “come forward” with their confessions are heroes.

So let me be clear. “Mental health issues” is a PRODUCT. It’s being sold like SUVs, cereal, beer, skin care lotions.

And just to give you an idea of how successful the sales campaign is, here is a staggering quote from NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, about a large survey of college students:

“The researchers also found that students are more willing to use university mental health services…By 2015, nearly 20 percent of those surveyed said they used these services…Moreover, nearly 75 percent said they would consider using university mental health services…”

These services are a gateway, a funnel into the diagnosis of a mental disorder…and then the prescription of drugs.

The drugs are the bottom line, the moneymaker.

The drugs CAUSE very real mental problems. There is no doubt that some of the people confessing their mental health issues these days are really talking about the effects of the drugs; but they don’t know it.

It’s also true that some students who claim to be “triggered” by words and ideas are actually reporting the effects of the drugs; but again, they don’t know that.

Promoting diabolically false science, psychiatry creates a gateway for defining many separate states of consciousness that don’t exist at all. They’re cheap myths, fairy tales.

It’s time to lay out the facts about psychiatry, to show how bankrupt this “science” really is.

The first question to ask is: do mental disorders have any scientific basis? There are now roughly 300 of them. They multiply like fruit flies.

An open secret has been bleeding out into public consciousness for the past ten years.

THERE ARE NO DEFINING LABORATORY TESTS FOR ANY SO-CALLED MENTAL DISORDER.

No blood tests, no urine tests, no saliva tests, no brain scans, no genetic assays.

And along with that:

ALL SO-CALLED MENTAL DISORDERS ARE CONCOCTED, NAMED, LABELED, DESCRIBED, AND CATEGORIZED by committees of psychiatrists, from menus of human behaviors.

Their findings are published in periodically updated editions of The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), printed by the American Psychiatric Association.

For years, even psychiatrists have been blowing the whistle on this hazy crazy process of “research.”

Yes, people suffer. Yes, people have problems. Yes, they experience anguish and pain. For a wide variety of reasons. But this is FAR DIFFERENT from claiming the suffering can be separated into distinct labeled disorders which actually exist, can be diagnosed, and treated with a blizzard of psychiatric drugs.

Of course, pharmaceutical companies, who manufacture highly toxic drugs to treat every one of these “disorders,” are leading the charge to invent more and more mental-health categories, so they can sell more drugs and make more money.

In a PBS Frontline episode, Does ADHD Exist?, Dr. Russell Barkley, an eminent professor of psychiatry and neurology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, unintentionally spelled out the fraud.

PBS FRONTLINE INTERVIEWER: Skeptics say that there’s no biological marker—that it [ADHD] is the one condition out there where there is no blood test, and that no one knows what causes it.

BARKLEY: That’s tremendously naïve, and it shows a great deal of illiteracy about science and about the mental health professions. A disorder doesn’t have to have a blood test to be valid. If that were the case, all mental disorders would be invalid…There is no lab test for any mental disorder right now in our science. That doesn’t make them invalid.

Boom.

Oh, indeed, that DOES make them invalid. Utterly and completely. All 300 mental disorders. They’re all hoaxes. Because there are no defining tests of any kind to back up the diagnosis.

You can sway and tap dance and bloviate all you like and you won’t escape the noose. We are looking at a science that isn’t a science. It’s a fraud. A rank fraud.

There’s more. Under the radar, one of the great psychiatric stars, who has been out in front inventing mental disorders, went public. He blew the whistle on himself and his colleagues. And for years, almost no one noticed.

His name is Dr. Allen Frances, and he made VERY interesting statements to Gary Greenberg, author of a Wired article: “Inside the Battle to Define Mental Illness.” (Dec.27, 2010).

Major media never picked up on the interview in any serious way. It never became a scandal.

Dr. Allen Frances is the man who, in 1994, headed up the project to write the latest edition of the psychiatric bible, the DSM-IV. This tome defines and labels and describes every official mental disorder. The DSM-IV eventually listed 297 of them.

In an April 19, 1994, New York Times piece, “Scientist At Work,” Daniel Goleman called Frances “Perhaps the most powerful psychiatrist in America at the moment…”

Well, sure. If you’re sculpting the entire canon of diagnosable mental disorders for your colleagues, for insurers, for the government, for Pharma (who will sell the drugs matched up to the 297 DSM-IV diagnoses), you’re right up there in the pantheon.

Long after the DSM-IV had been put into print, Dr. Frances talked to Wired’s Greenberg and said the following:

“There is no definition of a mental disorder. It’s bullshit. I mean, you just can’t define it.”

BANG.

That’s on the order of the designer of the Hindenburg, looking at the burned rubble on the ground, remarking, “Well, I knew there would be a problem.”

After a suitable pause, Dr. Frances remarked to Greenberg, “These concepts [of distinct mental disorders] are virtually impossible to define precisely with bright lines at the borders.”

Frances might have been obliquely referring to the fact that his baby, the DSM-IV, had rearranged earlier definitions of ADHD and Bipolar to permit many MORE diagnoses, leading to a vast acceleration of drug-dosing with highly powerful and toxic compounds.

If this is medical science, a duck is a rocket ship.

To repeat, Dr. Frances’ work on the DSM IV allowed for MORE toxic drugs to be prescribed, because the definitions of Bipolar and ADHD were expanded to include more people.

Adverse effects of Valproate (given for a Bipolar diagnosis) include:

* acute, life-threatening, and even fatal liver toxicity

* life-threatening inflammation of the pancreas

* brain damage

Adverse effects of Lithium (also given for a Bipolar diagnosis) include:

* intercranial pressure leading to blindness

* peripheral circulatory collapse

* stupor and coma

Adverse effects of Risperdal (given for “Bipolar”) include:

* serious impairment of cognitive function

* fainting

* restless muscles in neck or face, tremors (may be indicative of motor brain damage)

Dr. Frances label-juggling act also permitted the definition of ADHD to expand, thereby opening the door for greater and greater use of Ritalin (and other similar amphetamine-like compounds) as the treatment of choice.

So…what about Ritalin?

In 1986, The International Journal of the Addictions published a most important literature review by Richard Scarnati. It was called “An Outline of Hazardous Side Effects of Ritalin (Methylphenidate)” [v.21(7), pp. 837-841].

Scarnati listed a large number of adverse effects of Ritalin and cited published journal articles which reported each of these symptoms.

For every one of the following (quoted verbatim) Ritalin effects, there is at least one confirming source in the medical literature:

* Paranoid delusions

* Paranoid psychosis

* Hypomanic and manic symptoms, amphetamine-like psychosis

* Activation of psychotic symptoms

* Toxic psychosis

* Visual hallucinations

* Auditory hallucinations

* Can surpass LSD in producing bizarre experiences

* Effects pathological thought processes

* Extreme withdrawal

* Terrified affect

* Started screaming

* Aggressiveness

* Insomnia

* Since Ritalin is considered an amphetamine-type drug, expect amphetamine-like effects

* Psychic dependence

* High-abuse potential DEA Schedule II Drug

* Decreased REM sleep

* When used with antidepressants one may see dangerous reactions including hypertension, seizures and hypothermia

* Convulsions

* Brain damage may be seen with amphetamine abuse

Let’s go deeper. In the US alone, there are at least 300,000 cases of motor brain damage incurred by people who have been prescribed so-called anti-psychotic drugs (aka “major tranquilizers”). Risperdal (mentioned above as a drug given to people diagnosed with Bipolar) is one of those major tranquilizers. (source: Toxic Psychiatry, Dr. Peter Breggin, St. Martin’s Press, 1991)

This psychiatric drug plague is accelerating across the land.

Where are the mainstream reporters and editors and newspapers and TV anchors who should be breaking this story and mercilessly hammering on it week after week? They are in harness.

Let’s take a little trip back in time and review one psychiatric drug, Prozac.

Prozac, in fact, endured a rocky road in the press for a while. Stories on it rarely appear now. The major media have backed off. But on February 7th, 1991, Amy Marcus’ Wall Street Journal article on the drug carried the headline, “Murder Trials Introduce Prozac Defense.”

She wrote, “A spate of murder trials in which defendants claim they became violent when they took the antidepressant Prozac are imposing new problems for the drug’s maker, Eli Lilly and Co.”

Also on February 7, 1991, the New York Times ran a Prozac piece headlined, “Suicidal Behavior Tied Again to Drug: Does Antidepressant Prompt Violence?”

In his landmark book, Toxic Psychiatry, Dr. Peter Breggin mentions that the Donahue show (Feb. 28, 1991) “put together a group of individuals who had become compulsively self-destructive and murderous after taking Prozac and the clamorous telephone and audience response confirmed the problem.”

A shocking review-study published in The Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases (1996, v.184, no.2), written by Rhoda L. Fisher and Seymour Fisher, titlled “Antidepressants for Children,” concludes:

“Despite unanimous literature of double-blind studies indicating that antidepressants are no more effective than placebos in treating depression in children and adolescents, such medications continue to be in wide use.”

A study from the September 1989 Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, by Joseph Lipiniski, Jr., indicates that in five examined cases people on Prozac developed what is called akathesia. Symptoms include intense anxiety, inability to sleep, the “jerking of extremities,” and “bicycling in bed or just turning around and around.” Dr. Breggin comments that akathesia “may also contribute to the drug’s tendency to cause self-destructive or violent tendencies … Akathesia can become the equivalent of biochemical torture and could possibly tip someone over the edge into self-destructive or violent behavior … The June 1990 Health Newsletter, produced by the Public Citizen Research Group, reports, ‘Akathesia, or symptoms of restlessness, constant pacing, and purposeless movements of the feet and legs, may occur in 10-25 percent of patients on Prozac.’”

Other studies:

“Emergence of self-destructive phenomena in children and adolescents during fluoxetine [Prozac] treatment,” published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (1991, vol.30), written by RA King, RA Riddle, et al. It reports self-destructive phenomena in 14% (6/42) of children and adolescents (10-17 years old) who had treatment with fluoxetine (Prozac) for obsessive-compulsive disorder.

July, 1991. Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Hisako Koizumi, MD, describes a thirteen-year-old boy who was on Prozac: “full of energy,” “hyperactive,” “clown-like.” All this devolved into sudden violent actions which were “totally unlike him.”

September, 1991. The Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Author Laurence Jerome reports the case of a ten-year old who moves with his family to a new location. Becoming depressed, the boy is put on Prozac by a doctor. The boy is then “hyperactive, agitated … irritable.” He makes a “somewhat grandiose assessment of his own abilities.” Then he calls a stranger on the phone and says he is going to kill him. The Prozac is stopped, and the symptoms disappear.

In his breakthrough book, Toxic Psychiatry, Dr. Peter Breggin discusses the subject of drug combinations: “Combining antidepressants [e.g., Prozac, Luvox, Paxil] and psychostimulants [e.g., Ritalin] increases the risk of cardiovascular catastrophe, seizures, sedation, euphoria, and psychosis. Withdrawal from the combination can cause a severe reaction that includes confusion, emotional instability, agitation, and aggression.”

Note: Prozac is one of the SSRI antidepressants. Others include Zoloft and Paxil. You would expect similar effects from all the SSRIs.

Here’s a coda:

This one is big.

The so-called “chemical-imbalance” theory of mental illness is dead.

Dr. Ronald Pies, the editor-in-chief emeritus of the Psychiatric Times, laid the theory to rest in the July 11, 2011, issue of the Times with this staggering admission:

“In truth, the ‘chemical imbalance’ notion was always a kind of urban legend — never a theory seriously propounded by well-informed psychiatrists.”

Boom.

Dead.

However…urban legend? No. For decades, the whole basis of psychiatric drug research, drug prescription, and drug sales has been: “We’re correcting a chemical imbalance in the brain; every mental disorder stems from such a chemical imbalance.”

The problem was, researchers had never been able to establish a normal baseline for chemical balance. So they were shooting in the dark. Worse, they were faking a theory. Pretending they knew something when they didn’t.

In his 2011 piece in Psychiatric Times, Dr. Pies tries to cover for his colleagues in the psychiatric profession with this fatuous remark:

“In the past 30 years, I don’t believe I have ever heard a knowledgeable, well-trained psychiatrist make such a preposterous claim [about chemical imbalance in the brain], except perhaps to mock it…the ‘chemical imbalance’ image has been vigorously promoted by some pharmaceutical companies, often to the detriment of our patients’ understanding.”

Absurd. First of all, many psychiatrists have explained and do explain to their patients that the drugs are there to correct a chemical imbalance.

And second, if all well-trained psychiatrists have known, all along, that the chemical-imbalance theory is a fraud…

…then why on earth have they been prescribing tons of drugs to their patients…

…since those drugs are developed on the false premise that they correct a chemical imbalance?

—The chemical-imbalance theory is a fake. There are no defining physical tests for any of the 300 so-called mental disorders. All diagnoses are based on arbitrary clusters or menus of human behavior. The drugs are harmful, dangerous, toxic. Some of them induce violence. Suicide, homicide. Some of the drugs cause brain damage.

Psychiatry is a pseudoscience.

It’s all gibberish, all the way down.

Meanwhile, the business model demands drugs for sale.

So even though the chemical-imbalance nonsense has been discredited, it will continue on as a dead man walking, a zombie.

Big Pharma isn’t going to back off. Trillions of dollars are at stake.

And now we have the vigorous selling of “mental health issues” as the latest thing in personal confessions.

A person is a hero if he says he has these issues. Media celebrate him.

You can expect schools to disastrously incorporate “education on mental health” to students, including very young children.

This burgeoning social trend masks the fact that it is actually being sold as a gateway into mental-disorder diagnoses and the prescription of highly dangerous drugs.

You want to fight for a right?

Fight for the right of every adult to refuse medication. Fight for the right of every parent to refuse medication for his/her child. Fight for the right of children to be free from indoctrination into “mental health.”

TWO:

Here is a staggering statistic from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): “More than 25 percent of college students have been diagnosed or treated by a professional for a mental health condition within the past year.”

Let that sink in. 25 percent.

Colleges are basically clinics. Psychiatric centers.

Colleges have been taken over. A soft coup has occurred, out of view.

You want to know where all this victim-oriented “I’m triggered” and “I need a safe space” comes from? You just found it.

It’s a short step from being diagnosed with a mental disorder to adopting the role of being super-sensitive to “triggers.” You could call it a self-fulfilling prophecy. “If I have a mental disorder, then I’m a victim, and then what people say and do around me is going disturb me…and I’ll prove it.”

The dangerous and destabilizing effects of psychiatric drugs confirm this attitude. The drugs DO, in fact, produce an exaggerated and distorted sensitivity to a person’s environment.

You want to know where a certain amount of violent aggressive behavior on campuses comes from? You just found it. The psychiatric drugs. In particular, antidepressants and speed-type medications for ADHD.

You want to know why so many college students can’t focus on their studies? You just found one reason. The brain effects of the drugs.

The usual variety of student problems are translated into pseudoscientific categories of “mental disorders”—and toxic drugging ensues.

A college student says to himself, “I’m having trouble with my courses. I don’t understand what my professors want. My reading level isn’t good enough. I don’t like the professors who have a political bias. I’m confused. I miss my friends back home. I feel like a stranger on campus. I’d like to date, but I don’t know where to start. There are groups on campus. Should I join one? Well, maybe I need help. I should go to the counseling center and talk to a psychologist. That’s what they’re there for. Maybe I have a problem I don’t know about…”

And so it begins.

The student is looking for an explanation of his problems. But this search will morph into: having a socially acceptable excuse for not doing well. Understand the distinction.

After a bit of counseling, the student is referred to a psychiatrist, who makes a diagnosis of depression, and prescribes a drug. Now the student says, “That’s a relief. Now I know why I have a problem. I have a mental disorder. I never knew that. I’m operating at a disadvantage. I’m a victim of a brain abnormality. Okay. That means I really shouldn’t be expected to succeed. Situations affect my mood. What people say affects my mood.”

And pretty soon, the whole idea of being triggered and needing a safe space makes sense to the student. He’s heading down a slippery slope, but he doesn’t grasp what’s actually going on. On top of that, the drug he’s taking is disrupting his thoughts and his brain activity. But of course, the psychiatrist tells him no, it’s not the drug, it’s the condition, the clinical depression, which is worsening and making it harder to think clearly. He needs a different drug. The student is now firmly in the system. He’s a patient. He’s expected to have trouble coping. And on and on it goes.

Here is the background. Here is what psychiatry is all about—

Wherever you see organized psychiatry operating, you see it trying to expand its domain and its dominance. The Hippocratic Oath to do no harm? Are you kidding?

THREE:

Here is a story Dr. Peter Breggin tells in his classic book, Toxic Psychiatry. It says it all:

“Roberta was a college student, getting good grades, mostly A’s, when she first became depressed and sought psychiatric help at the recommendation of her university health service. She was eighteen at the time, bright and well motivated, and a very good candidate for psychotherapy. She was going through a sophomore-year identity crisis about dating men, succeeding in school, and planning a future. She could have thrived with a sensitive therapist who had an awareness of women’s issues.

“Instead of moral support and insight, her doctor gave her Haldol. Over the next four years, six different physicians watched her deteriorate neurologically without warning her or her family about tardive dyskinesia [motor brain damage] and without making the [tardive dyskinesia] diagnosis, even when she was overtly twitching in her arms and legs. Instead they switched her from one neuroleptic [anti-psychotic drug] to another, including Navane, Stelazine, and Thorazine. Eventually a rehabilitation therapist became concerned enough to send her to a general physician, who made the diagnosis [of medical drug damage]. By then she was permanently physically disabled, with a loss of 30 percent of her IQ.

“…my medical evaluation described her condition: Roberta is a grossly disfigured and severely disabled human being who can no longer control her body. She suffers from extreme writhing movements and spasms involving the face, head, neck, shoulders, limbs, extremities, torso, and back—nearly the entire body. She had difficulty standing, sitting, or lying down, and the difficulties worsen as she attempts to carry out voluntary actions. At one point she could not prevent her head from banging against nearby furniture. She could hold a cup to her lip only with great difficulty. Even her respiratory movements are seriously afflicted so that her speech comes out in grunts and gasps amid spasms of her respiratory muscles…Roberta may improve somewhat after several months off the neuroleptic drugs, but she will never again have anything remotely resembling a normal life.”

FOUR:

As I mentioned above, 25% of college students in America have received a diagnosis of a mental disorder, or are on psychiatric drugs. I emphasize this to indicate how widespread psychiatric control has become.

That statistic has been reported by NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

NAMI also states: “Approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S.—43.8 million, or 18.5%—experiences mental illness in a given year.”

These figures are earthshaking. They reflect a relentless push, by organized psychiatry and their pharmaceutical partners, to expand the diagnoses of mental disorders and the toxic drugging that follows.

Here is what we’re dealing with: the profession of psychiatry has been given the government seal of approval to monopolize the field of mental health. The nature of their psychiatric work marks these “professionals” as some of the craziest people on the planet.

How do psychiatrists get away with it? They have journals. They populate schools and hospitals. They testify in criminal trials. They are funded and backed by some of the most powerful corporations in the world: Big Pharma. They’re medical doctors, and the public is trained to believe them.

Worst of all, the psychiatrists believe themselves.

They’re indoctrinated through years of schooling.

They’re in a waking trance.

They’re men and women who would never sacrifice their exalted positions of authority and their money for the sake of the truth.

What about parents and their children? “Jimmy, we’re so happy you’re going to college. Now, there is a 25% chance you’ll be diagnosed with a mental disorder while you’re there. That’s a good thing. You’ll get help. Listen to the doctor. Take the drugs.”

Of course, parents don’t say that. But by default, and through ignorance, that’s what they’re setting up their children for.

“This college you’re attending, Jimmy—it’s basically a psychiatric clinic. But you’ll also learn valuable academic information on the side.”

There’s more. Much more. But I’ll leave it there for now…

Podcast: The FBI Mar-a-Lago raid, and much more

Three mind-boggling events this past week

Number 3 is virtually unknown, and it’s a massive crusher—FOR us, not against us

The fascist takeover of this and other countries has been accelerating—but this past week, major new cards have been pulled from the bottom of the deck and played.

I’m going to describe them and lay out the stunning implications.

If you haven’t yet subscribed to my substack, now is the time. Throw in a few bucks and support my work. The yearly $60 subscription is the price of one dinner at a “highly recommended restaurant”—where the steak turns out tasting like cardboard. But here on my page, all the daily dinners are very real.

EVENT ONE: The FBI raid on Trump’s home in Florida. What’s behind it? I’ll discuss two of the major players lurking in the shadows, on the fringes, and what their presence means. No one else is covering this fully.

Are the powers-that-be just trying to derail any chance Trump has of running and winning in 2024? Or is something more going on?

EVENT TWO: With a new influx of $46 billion, the IRS is hiring 87,000 enforcement agents. The IRS’s posted job description stated: must be willing to use “deadly force.” After a backlash, the IRS scrubbed that section. What’s their real plan? And who are they trying to impress? I’ll lay out the reality.

EVENT THREE: And finally, I’ll expand my campaign on solutions, explaining how free and competitive states can overcome the concentration of federal power at the top of the food chain. As I write this…

Riley Moore, the state treasurer of West Virginia, is on FOX explaining how he is REMOVING enormous state monies from woke banks that refuse to do business with fossil fuel companies.

BANG. This is truly huge. Moore is turning the tables on Biden’s “green plan” to push the US into deep poverty.

This is exactly the kind of imaginative thinking that can spell victory for us.

There are MANY implications in Moore’s strategy. I’ll run them down for you. I can’t overstate their importance.

When you drive a dagger into the heart of banks that collude with government, you’re disrupting the very nerve center of tyranny.

Join me in this truly crucial podcast.

Kari Lake, AZ candidate for governor, has the right idea

An open letter to the people of Arizona

by Jon Rappoport

(To join our email list, click here.)

Kari was fuming after the Feds raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago. And she launched a statement about that. Yup. OK. Fine. But it’s how she moved on from the subject of Trump that really interests me.

Here’s her blast:

“This is one of the darkest days in American history: the day our Government, originally created by the people, turned against us. This illegitimate, corrupt Regime hates America and has weaponized the entirety of the Federal Government to take down President Donald Trump. Our Government is rotten to the core. These tyrants will stop at nothing to silence the Patriots who are working hard to save America. This is an incredibly horrendous abuse of power. If we accept it, America is dead. We will not accept it. The 10th Amendment can and will save our Republic and the road to stripping the feds of power travels right through Arizona. We must fire the federal government…”

The powers of the states. The 10th Amendment. Rejecting the Feds.

As my readers know, I’ve been hitting this issue very hard. Free states. Competitive states.

What can Arizona offer people that Oregon or New Jersey or Montana can’t? I’m not talking about government freebies, I’m talking about a robust economy, freedom from crazy wokey-dokey government officials, and so on.

Yes, reject federal power in every way possible, but also build up AZ as the place to go for American refugees fleeing insane states that resemble China.

I’ve mentioned this before, and here it is again. Open Arizona to healing practitioners of every stripe, licensed or not. The only proviso is: their treatments are not harmful.

You’ll get thousands of practitioners and their prospective clients moving to AZ overnight. The practitioner and client are responsible adults. They sign contracts with each other, swearing that no liability will be attached to the results of the treatments. No law suits. The state government is not involved in any way.

The AZ economy will BOOM.

And the predatory state medical board will be shoved into the background. They can whine and scream to their hearts’ content.

Tear down fed power and build up Arizona power.

Decentralization wins.

We win.

This is not a loophole in the Constitution. This is a 20-lane super highway called the 10th Amendment. Those powers not specially granted to the Federal government are reserved for the states and the people.

Stand on that and take on all comers.

Podcast: Busting Fake Reality

The Job of the Century

The Knight’s Journey

by Jon Rappoport

August 9, 2022

(To join our email list, click here.)

Step up to the plate, support my work, subscribe, and listen. The cost is about two hot dogs a month.

In this podcast, I’m going to throw in everything, including the kitchen sink—because this IS the job: busting fake reality.

Fake reality holds people and populations together. And not in a good way.

Engineered and self-imposed consensus makes possible all the high-level crimes that are designed to sink civilization into mass slavery.

In the podcast, I’m going to talk about ways we can BREAK the glue that binds people together in fake reality.

I’ll also explore the psychological and spiritual roots of people’s DESIRE to “surrender to the glue.”

As a journalist and writer, I have vast experience in this area. It’s been my target in everything I do.

Consensus is a strange creature. You can dismantle a chunk of it, and then it tends to grow back.

There’s a NEED people have to gloss over fractures in consensus reality and pretend they never happened.

If we were talking about a land war, we would say our troops took the city, then retreated, then took it again, then retreated—over and over again.

I used to know a woman during the health freedom movement of the 1990s who was a terrific researcher. She taught me things I never knew about Rockefeller medicine and germ theory and Big Pharma. She knew the scam from top to bottom. Plus she was an articulate outspoken advocate for individual freedom.

Two months after the declaration of the COVID pandemic, she was living in a small one-room apartment, wearing a mask indoors, very rarely venturing outdoors, and calling a friend every time she had the slightest symptom of a cold.

She’d busted fake reality big-time, but eventually she filled in all those cracks and painted over them and was totally buying into consensus.

Some version of this happens to many people every day.

The vanquished amoeba grows back.

There are many stories from the Middle Ages about the Knight who embarks on the mission of his life, to explore what lies beyond ordinary consensus reality. On his journey, he eventually comes to a threshold.

He knows if he crosses that line, his existence is going to become New. He doesn’t know how things will change, but they will. At that moment, all his conditioning tells him to turn around and go back.

But he doesn’t. He pushes on across the threshold. And then he finds out why he needed to push on. He finds the answer in himself.

Join me in this podcast.

Each one of us is a knight on that journey.

Free states: radical decentralization; the war for hearts and minds

Dedicated to my friend and compatriot of many years, Robert Scott Bell

by Jon Rappoport

August 3, 2022

(To join our email list, click here.)

It all starts with the IDEA of the germ. Once people buy the idea and the story, everything follows. The planners build the story of the germ for a hundred years, so it transmits fear, and then one day they use it to spring the trap.

Fake pandemic. Real slavery.

The truth is, we’re far stronger than any germ or any tale about a germ.

Dozing off thinking about the tale and the trap and what it’s brought to our door, I had a dream. Went something like this—

“South Carolina is happy to report the stunning success of our new treatment law. As you know, three years ago, we certified a bill allowing ANY healing method to be practiced on consenting adults, for any condition, so long as that method was not destructive. The result? A flood of practitioners and patients moving to our state. Our economy has nearly tripled in size. We are awash in new prosperity…”

New York: “Curfews must be more drastic. Only protesters and rioters will be permitted on streets after 2PM. We are issuing four color codes. Green, blue, yellow, and gray. They tell you when you may appear in public to pick up your food for the month at our government-dispensing canned goods centers. State income taxes are hereby raised to forty percent of gross earnings. All churches are permanently closed. Stop moving to South Carolina. If you do, you can never come back…”

“Nevada is announcing a new form of state money. Anyone who moves here will automatically be given four thousand dollars in casino chips, and a free hotel room for seven weeks. Masks and social distancing are forbidden. Vaccination is entirely voluntary. Anyone forcing a vaccine on another will be buried up to his neck in the desert, his face smeared with honey…”

Oregon: “The marijuana state is now entirely collective. No more private residences. Everyone must live in a commune of at least 60 persons. In each commune, the profits from growing pot will be equally divided among all members. No guns are permitted in the state. To achieve our goal of the cleanest air in the nation, cars are allowed on roads only between the hours of 7-9AM and 4-6PM. Trucks loaded with weed may move product at all hours. Come live with us.”

Maryland: “Our state is run by a consortium of mega-corporations and intelligence agencies. Everyone works for these organizations. There are no small businesses. Move here. You’ll be guaranteed a job after four weeks of training. Housing included. Stop fighting the Man. We are the Man. Free vaccinations.”

California: “Have you always yearned to be a Communist? Come to Cal. We’ve got Stasi, KGB, real-time satellite surveillance covering every inch of the state, as well as free Snitch Training. Unlimited immigration from all countries. We care. We have zero unemployment. Everyone works for the government. Are you wanted for offenses in other states or nations? No background checks. Warning: selling off-the-books black market items without paying sales tax is punishable by death.”

Idaho: “Free market economy. Make and sell just about anything. No state taxes. Gun rights guaranteed. All property is private. No welfare. Our cops only care about two offenses—encroaching on another’s freedom, and selling overtly harmful products. Public education is canceled. Only home and small community schooling are allowed. Want to make your own way? Idaho is the place for you.”

Illinois: “We are now a monarchy. As the hub for all street drugs distributed throughout the US and Canada, our king is chosen by the Sinaloa Cartel. Our police forces are gangs. We have disbanded our court systems. Personal and business protection is for sale. If you want to ‘live the life,’ move to Illinois. Free ballet lessons.”

Wyoming: “It took a long revolution to expel the former state government. In our free market economy, two prominent industries have emerged—hydrogen-powered car manufacturing/refitting, and water turbines for energy production. Our sales are soaring. Through state taxes agreed upon in a recent state referendum, we are financing research into several suppressed methods of energy innovation. Every citizen must own a gun, and must receive training in how to use it. Don’t move here expecting a free ride. Career criminals from other states—don’t even think about it. We’ll find you and root you out.”

New Jersey: “Our new state motto is ‘Graft, Gossip, and Waste Management.’ Our highway tolls are the highest in the nation. We are on permanent lockdown. If you want to pretend you’re important and have no credentials of any kind, move here and join us. The southern half of the state is being built out as one giant hospital complex, to treat and house those from the northern half. Free health coverage. Wear a badge of honor for each medical or psychiatric diagnosis.”

Massachusetts: “Aside from hospitals and Harvard global money laundering, our largest industry is selling rewrites of history to colleges. The American Revolution never happened. John Adams was an ambulance chasing personal injury lawyer. Thoreau was a petty criminal, fishing without a license. Plymouth Rock was once a popular form of cocaine trafficked along the east coast…”

Within two generations, New York and California turn into patchwork quilts of sparsely populated farm land and urban hell holes.

A declared woo-woo pandemic in one state is nothing more than a joke in another.

Enforced and fake togetherness dissolves like sugar in water.

—As I started to wake up, I wondered, is this a good dream or a bad dream? A voice said, “Decentralization of power is good, but you can’t control how it works out. If you could, YOU’D be the central power.”

I fell back asleep.

I was standing on a street corner in a city. In the distance, buildings were burning. A crowd marched toward me, broadcasting waves of fear.

They stopped moving. A platform rose up and a speaker in a mask fiddled with a mic stand. Silence.

“This is our place,” he said. Calm voice. “Just remember, it’s free.”

He looked over at me. He lifted his mask for a second, then put it back.

It was Mao Zedong. Chairman Mao. He told the quiet crowd, “I’ve got money. Rockefeller money. You understand, right? We’re going to start over. We’ve got important friends. We’ll use them and keep them safe for a while. In the new Republic, everything is free. You work for it, but it’s free. You don’t get ahead on your own. That’s over. You’re my troops. We’re burning down the northeastern United States and taking the land.”

Silence.

“It’s freedom,” he said. “Forget all your old causes. Forget why you came here. It doesn’t matter anymore. We’re new. We’re finally getting justice. You know what justice is? Rice. Growing rice. That’s all. Everyone works. Everyone bends over and works, from the lowliest drug addict to a fat old Congresswoman, to the President, everyone works the soil, and admits their guilt. Their sins. After six generations, their descendants can be raised up. They’ll be clean. No taint left. That’s the new world. That’s what you’ve been fighting for. No more privilege.”

Suddenly, I was standing outside my house in the dark night.

There was somebody out there. I couldn’t see who he was.

He spoke. “Don’t let them take everything away. You have no idea how many of us there are. We’re not going to let this happen.”

Podcast: Solving the Tanking Economy

Plus: The Current Debate about the Existence of the “COVID virus”

by Jon Rappoport

August 2, 2022

(To join our email list, click here.)

I’ll be covering these two very explosive subjects in this week’s podcast.

Subscribe to my substack. As I keep saying, it costs less than one breakfast a month at an old diner off the highway in 1990.

Here is the background for the podcast:

No more excuses for the Biden administration.

They—and many Republicans—are way past the point of “making mistakes.” They’re forcing the economy to tank.

That’s what they want.

You can’t take over an economy that’s thriving and lifting most boats. You have to drive it down, radically weaken its supports—and then step in, blame various scapegoats, and claim there is no way out of the crisis unless the government intervenes and enacts “a new deal.”

That new deal will involve some version of fixing prices of goods, wage “supports” and freezes, and control of key industries.

That’s where this is going. That’s the plan.

Climate change non-science is being deployed as one of the justifications—and there is a salad of verbiage about “a transition to a green economy.”

Which is, of course, baloney, because right now there are no alternative options for energy that can supplant oil.

Instead, poverty will deepen. Drastically.

The suicidal policies of this administration needed a man in the Oval Office who was so sold out, so mentally compromised, he could be induced to go along with the horror show.

Any person who can’t see that is whistling in the dark and holding a gun to his own head and telling himself a fairy tale about saving the planet.

And I’ve noticed that certain alternative news sites, who would ordinarily be blowing the trumpet for a transition to greenness, have recently shut up about it.

They see the handwriting on the wall. It’s not just theory anymore. The criminals in Washington are actually DOING it, and without a safety net in the form of viable non-oil energy. They have no safety net.

They intend to impose low, lower, and lowest energy production and energy use quotas on everybody. That’s the technocratic foundation for the future, and the future is sitting there in front of us now.

“Well, you see, while we bring solar and wind on line to replace oil, we’ll have to portion out available sources of energy…”

This is all about control of society at the top—consolidated and intensified. Call it socialism. Call it anything you want to. Labels don’t matter. The people who want tyranny and can impose it are killers.

They’ve been with us since people lived in caves. Now they believe they have the means to control, not hundreds or thousands, but millions and billions of humans.

Climate change, open borders, critical race theory, transgenderism, gun control, censorship, inflation, COVID fraud, toxic vaccines—these “inserts” all function to drastically weaken and cripple the nation and also serve as massive distractions while the sociopaths harden their power.

ENERGY is their number one target. Put a chokehold on energy and money and you run the world.

Every conceivable strategy to decentralize those two powers will throw a monkey wrench into their plan.

—In the podcast, I’ll be talking about solutions that could decentralize those powers.

Then I’ll take up the current proposal for a debate about the existence of the “COVID virus,” and show how one side of that debate has a massive misconception about real science.

I’ll explain how science should be done; and why the terms of the debate are much simpler than they imagine.

I’ve been around the block on this basic issue a few hundred times in the last 20 years; and I’ve been through all the whys and wherefores.

I’ve explored other versions of the debate, and I’ve seen the holes in the ways the debates have been framed.

I’ll lay it all out very clearly. I’ll explain what a real debate would look like.

Join me on the podcast!
