Afghanistan Mission accomplished: more heroin for the world

Not the war Against drugs; the war For drugs

The Guardian reports statistics on opium agriculture in Afghanistan (“Former Blackwater gets rich as Afghan drug production hits record high”):

“…the US counternarcotics mission in Afghanistan stands out: opiate production has climbed steadily over recent years to reach record-high levels last year.”

“Far from eradicating the deep-rooted opiate trade, US counternarcotics efforts have proven useless, according to a series of recent official inquiries. Other aspects of the billions that the US has poured into Afghanistan over the last 13 years of war have even contributed to the opium boom.”

“In December, the United Nations reported a 60% growth in Afghan land used for opium poppy cultivation since 2011, up to 209,000 hectares…”

“…the [UN] inspector general also noted that US reconstruction projects, particularly those devoted to ‘improved irrigation, roads, and agricultural assistance’ were probably leading to the explosion in opium cultivation.

“'[A]ffordable deep-well technology turned 200,000 hectares of desert in southwestern Afghanistan into arable land over the past decade,’ the inspector general found, concluding that ‘much of this newly arable land is dedicated to opium cultivation.’”

Who’s kidding who?

In Colombia, the US government proved it could eradicate coca and opium-poppy growing fields. One of the solutions was an herbicide called Roundup. You may have heard of it.

But in Afghanistan, the US just didn’t remember that. It skipped their mind. Oops.

Suddenly, the Afghanistan mission became one of good will. Mustn’t upset the farmers. In Colombia, upsetting the farmers was perfectly all right.

When you can lessen a problem but choose not to, you want the problem to persist. It’s simple.

And at that point, the problem becomes an opportunity—it always was.

More opium poppy; therefore, more heroin. More trafficking, more profits.

Since the US government has been consciously facilitating the growth of opium farming in Afghanistan, it stands to reason that government players have been taking their cut of the action.

If the US government, which has been fighting a full-scale war in Afghanistan, wanted to destroy the opium-heroin business in that country, it had the ideal opportunity.

The mission would have been far easier than waging “the war against drugs” in Mexico, where US military intervention has been limited.

In Afghanistan, there were US troops on the ground. There were air attacks. What else would you need?

Pentagon planners spend their lives working out multiple scenarios for possible wars in various regions of the planet. They take into account all aspects and contingencies.

In planning for a war in Afghanistan, what to do about the opium-poppy growing fields would have been high on the list of options.

So opium-poppy farmers were no “delicate problem” the US invading force encountered after entering the country. There were no surprises.

Since the US invaded Afghanistan, the Army knowingly undertook operations that would definitely expand opium-poppy agriculture.

power outside the matrix

(To read about Jon’s collection, Power Outside The Matrix, click here.)

Of course, the CIA’s connections to the drug trade in Afghanistan go back a long way, so it’s no surprise that the US war in Afghanistan has facilitated and expanded opium-poppy production.

Peter Dale Scott, in his essay, “Drugs, Contras, and the CIA,” writes:

“[Circa 1980], the CIA was arming and advising heroin-trafficking guerrillas in Afghanistan. Its preferred leader, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, became for a period one of the leading heroin suppliers in the world.”

“In 1979, when the U.S. first established contact with heroin-trafficking guerrillas in Afghanistan, no heroin from the so-called Golden Crescent on the Afghan-Pakistan border was known to reach the United States. By 1984, according to the Reagan Administration, 54 percent of the heroin reaching this country came from the Afghan-Pakistan border.”

“[CIA officer] John Millis had served for thirteen years as a case officer supplying covert CIA aid to the heroin-trafficking guerrillas in Afghanistan…At least one of the airlines involved in the Afghan support operation, Global International Airways, was also named in connection with the [US] Iran-Contra scandal…”

The war against drugs? A towering joke.

My legal brief on human experimentation

My legal brief on human experimentation

by Jon Rappoport

March 16, 2015

NoMoreFakeNews.com

“It doesn’t take a genius to realize you don’t necessarily win a court case on the merits. But it’s a stomping ground, a place where challenges can be issued and Constitutional principles can be dusted off and exposed. It’s a venue where new arguments can, from time to time, gain traction. The courts are places where truthful PR operations can be initiated. Of course the game is rigged. Of course the system is corrupt. But hammering at the foundations of the corruption—if enough legal players catch on and join in—can have an effect. A court can function as a tabloid scandal sheet: here, have a look at the criminals who pose as guardians of Justice…” (The Underground, Jon Rappoport)

What is now happening on Maui gives me the impetus to write this brief, which applies over a much wider area than the Monsanto-Maui lawsuit.

In that lawsuit, Monsanto/Dow are seeking to nullify Maui County voters, who passed a ballot-resolution temporarily blocking those corporations from carrying forward their GMO/pesticide experiments in the “open-air laboratory” of Maui County.

Monsanto and Dow are basically arguing that state and federal laws regulating agriculture supersede county laws.

Beyond that wrangle sits the more basic fact: what Dow and Monsanto have been doing on Maui is human experimentation; the GMOs and pesticides are new, they are not commercial varieties.

This is not “agriculture.” This is a researcher-human guinea pig relationship.

No independent environmental impact assessment has been done. The population of Maui has not been informed of the particulars of these experiments. Nor have they given their consent to be exposed to experimental pesticide spraying and gene drift.

Every conceivable law and regulation covering human experimentation has been violated.

The people of Maui have every right to argue the case on this basis. The Judge in the case should be compelled to hear those arguments and treat them as crucial.

Now let’s consider a wider territory that extends far beyond the Maui case. As Steven Druker establishes in his book, Altered Genes, Twisted Truth, the process by which GMOs were originally certified as safe and allowed into the food chain was no legitimate process at all.

The FDA’s own scientists were expressing grave doubts all the way along the line, and they were ignored. A nuanced form of pseudoscience and a tactic of falsely manufacturing consensus brought GMOs into the growing fields and the marketplace.

Therefore, if the truth matters, and it does, all GMO agriculture has the status of human experimentation, to this day.

Arguing that the FDA permitted GMOs to enter the food chain and…

Therefore, the Agency’s decision cancels any charge of human experimentation…

Is absurd.

Take the example of a criminal case. A defendant, charged with murder, convicted, and sent to prison, appeals for a new trial through his lawyer. The lawyer has undeniable documentary evidence that police officers lied on the witness stand, collaborated on their stories, destroyed exculpatory evidence, and intentionally pinned the murder on the wrong man.

Can the State argue that, since the jury found the defendant guilty, the conviction must be upheld, all new evidence notwithstanding? Of course not.

Well, in the same way, if the “evidence” leading to the FDA’s certification of GMOs as safe was cooked and distorted and turned upside down, the status of GMOs should revert back to the category of experimental.

And these matters (the details on how GMOs were actually approved in the first place) should be permitted as arguments in court.

It’s not enough to say, “Well, GMOs are approved and that’s that.” New evidence can be presented. At trial.

After all, the judicial branch is tasked with exercising a check on both the executive and legislative branches.

Allowing extensive testimony on science vs. pseudoscience certainly fulfills that role.

In fact, courts may be the only remaining places where such arguments can be made inside the structure of government.

Practically speaking, no judge is going to favor opening this huge can of worms in his venue. I understand that.

But with enough lawyers making their arguments along enough fronts, across the country, pressure can build. And with a coordinated PR operation, who knows what might happen?

The truth is: GMOs are, at best, an experimental hypothesis that carries destructive health consequences.

In every area of science/medicine, laws and regulations determine the outcome of legal cases. The general approach is: if a government regulation upholds a piece of science as legitimate, the courts will deny challenges and automatically assume the piece of science is, in fact, legitimate.

This is a fatuous stance.

For example, in the area of psychiatry:

On April 29, 2013, at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) website, Director Thomas Insel, the highest ranking federal mental-health official in the US, published a blog commentary, “Transforming Diagnosis.” Insel wrote (April 29, 2013):

“In a few weeks, the American Psychiatric Association will release its new edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5)…

“The strength of each of the editions of DSM has been ‘reliability’ – each edition has ensured that clinicians use the same terms in the same ways. The weakness is its lack of validity. Unlike our definitions of ischemic heart disease, lymphoma, or AIDS, the DSM diagnoses are based on a consensus about clusters of clinical symptoms, not any objective laboratory measure.”

That statement provides grounds for arguing, in court, in many cases, that a psychiatrist’s expert testimony is invalid. It’s unscientific. It has no legitimate force or relevance.

I’m sure the first time a lawyer presents that argument he will fail. But if a dozen lawyers go on to assert the same proposition, in a dozen courts, the worm might begin to turn.

Psychiatry, like GMO science, is, at best, an experimental hypothesis.

In both instances, millions upon millions of people are the guinea pigs being experimented on.

power outside the matrix

And what about “vaccine science” and “climate change?” Why not open up the courts so that these matters can be argued on the merits? Some vapid media anchor or “medical expert” claiming “the science is settled” isn’t doing science. He’s doing, at best, opinion. Why should that carry the day?

If enough lawyers remembered why, at an early age, they decided to enter the profession, they might find the inspiration and courage to make cases and forward arguments that would actually serve Justice.

Don’t bother writing me to say, “It’ll never happen.” Trust me, I know at least as much about the status quo as you do. The point is, causing a good kind of trouble in the court system shines a light on fake science and exposes the march toward what amounts to a pseudoscientific police state.

Coming back to the Monsanto/Dow vs. Maui case, we have a prime opportunity. There is no doubt that what these corporations are doing on Maui is human experimentation. Their own literature proves and explains it.

Therefore, raise the issue in court. Make it clear. This case isn’t about agriculture and the pertinent regulations on the books. It’s about experimenting on a population and keeping that population in the dark.

Ram it home, lawyers.

Don’t be shy.

Chameleo: a wild, wild, wild tale of invisible spies, heroin addiction, and homeland security

Chameleo: a wild, wild, wild tale of invisible spies, heroin addiction, and homeland security

by Jon Rappoport

March 12, 2015

NoMoreFakeNews.com

Robert Guffey’s long awaited book, Chameleo, is in print. I received my copy a few days ago and sat down and started reading it. I couldn’t stop. At times I wanted to stop, but I had to press on. The twists and turns and grotesque happenings and, yes, the laughs wouldn’t let me get away.

Guffey (his blog here) is an utter original, and so is this book. It’s a story of his long-time friend, Dion, who was subjected, for years, to street theater, gang stalking, electronic harassment, and…invisible midgets.

That’s right.

A lesser writer, a lesser man, a lesser investigator would have given up and gone home and climbed into bed, and slept. But Guffey is none of those. For one thing, The Weird is his territory. He finds cracks in the reality machine, crawls inside, and shines his light on incredible happenings piled on top of mad happenings.

He’s sane. That helps. Iron-rock sane. He’s insatiably curious. That works, too. He has the basic instinct of a true journalist: he knows what he doesn’t know, and he admits it, and then he crawls, wriggles, scratches, digs until he makes the unknown into something real we can see, no matter how strange it turns out to be.

And in this case, Chameleo, it’s really strange, because his pal Dion appears to be the target of government agents who have a shocking amount of technology at their disposal, and they deploy it to drive Dion batshit crazy.

chameleo

The thing is, from what I can tell, Dion was already crazy, and that’s his ace in the hole. He’s been living a bizarre life for years, and so when these agents come along, no matter how loony things get, no matter how far the space-time continuum lurches and bends, Dion can handle it without jumping off a bridge.

He’s therefore a target and a test case with a difference. A crucial difference.

Guffey and Dion also know when things are funny, and that’s a life saver. (File under: if you can’t laugh, ever, you’re dead.)

Along with all of this, there’s a significant amount of sober dot-connecting in the book.

If I say anything more, I’ll start giving the story away. So get the book, sit down with it, strap yourself in, and prepare for takeoff. Once the flight begins, there’s no turning back.

My response to Bob Livingston’s article, ‘Islamic terror and the great deception’

My response to Bob Livingston’s article, “Islamic Terror and the Great Deception”

by Jon Rappoport

February 18, 2015

NoMoreFakeNews.com

In his important personalliberty.com article, “Islamic Terror and the Great Deception,” Bob Livingston describes how recent US Presidents have continued to wage war against “terrorism,” when in fact their true goals have been quite different:

For example, keeping Middle East nations from nationalizing their precious oil supplies. For example, justifying tighter and tighter control over the lives of US citizens, in order to “protect them from terrorist attacks.”

I want to add a piece to the puzzle.

War is a permanent US government policy. Make no mistake about it. Who sets the policy? Who keeps it intact, despite legislators and Presidents exiting and entering office?

A number of groups—but one group has been virtually forgotten. Its influence is enormous. It has existed since 1973.

It’s called the Trilateral Commission (TC).

In a minute, I’m going to print a stunning piece of forgotten history, a 1978 conversation between a US reporter and two members of the Trilateral Commission.

I discovered the conversation in the late 1980s, and ever since then, I’ve been looking at it from various angles, finding new implications. Here, I want to point out that the conversation was public knowledge at the time.

Anyone who was anyone in Washington politics, in media, in think-tanks, had access to it. Understood its meaning.

But no one shouted from the rooftops. No one used the conversation to force a scandal. No one protested loudly.

The conversation revealed that the entire basis of the US Constitution had been torpedoed, that the people who were running US national policy (which includes war) were agents of an elite shadow group. No question about it.

And yet: official silence. Media silence. The Dept. of Justice made no moves, Congress undertook no serious inquiries, and the President, Jimmy Carter, issued no statements. Carter was himself a covert agent in the White House, a willing pawn, a rank con artist, a hustler.

To boil down the 1978 conversation between the reporter and two Trilateral Commission members, and the follow-on response:

“The US has been taken over.”

“Yeah, so?”

Many people think the TC, created in 1973 by David Rockefeller, is a relic of an older time.

Think again.

Patrick Wood, author of Trilaterals Over Washington, points out there are only 87 members of the Trilateral Commission who live in America. Obama appointed eleven of them to posts in his administration.

For example:

* Tim Geithner, Treasury Secretary;

* James Jones, National Security Advisor;

* Paul Volker, Chairman, Economic Recovery Committee;

* Dennis Blair, Director of National Intelligence.

Several other noteworthy Trilateral members: George HW Bush; Bill Clinton; Dick Cheney; Al Gore.

Keep in mind that the original stated goal of the TC was to create “a new international economic order.”

In the run-up to his inauguration after the 2008 presidential election, Obama was tutored by the co-founder of the Trilateral Commission, Zbigniew Brzezinski.

Brzezinski wrote, four years before birthing the TC with his godfather, David Rockefeller:

“[The] nation state as a fundamental unit of man’s organized life has ceased to be the principal creative force. International banks and multinational corporations are acting and planning in terms that are far in advance of the political concepts of the nation state.”

Any doubt on the question of TC goals is answered by David Rockefeller himself, the founder of the TC, in his Memoirs (2003):

“Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure—one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”

Okay. Here is a close-up snap shot of a remarkable moment from out of the past. It’s through-the-looking-glass—a conversation between reporter, Jeremiah Novak, and two Trilateral Commission members, Karl Kaiser and Richard Cooper. The interview took place in 1978. It concerned the issue of who exactly, during President Carter’s administration, was formulating US economic and political policy.

The careless and off-hand attitude of Trilateralists Kaiser and Cooper is astonishing. It’s as if they’re saying, “What we’re revealing is already out in the open, it’s too late to do anything about it, why are you so worked up, we’ve already won…”

NOVAK (the reporter): Is it true that a private [Trilateral committee] led by Henry Owen of the US and made up of [Trilateral] representatives of the US, UK, West Germany, Japan, France and the EEC is coordinating the economic and political policies of the Trilateral countries [which would include the US]?

COOPER: Yes, they have met three times.

NOVAK: Yet, in your recent paper you state that this committee should remain informal because to formalize ‘this function might well prove offensive to some of the Trilateral and other countries which do not take part.’ Who are you afraid of?

KAISER: Many countries in Europe would resent the dominant role that West Germany plays at these [Trilateral] meetings.

COOPER: Many people still live in a world of separate nations, and they would resent such coordination [of policy].

NOVAK: But this [Trilateral] committee is essential to your whole policy. How can you keep it a secret or fail to try to get popular support [for its decisions on how Trilateral member nations will conduct their economic and political policies]?

COOPER: Well, I guess it’s the press’ job to publicize it.

NOVAK: Yes, but why doesn’t President Carter come out with it and tell the American people that [US] economic and political power is being coordinated by a [Trilateral] committee made up of Henry Owen and six others? After all, if [US] policy is being made on a multinational level, the people should know.

COOPER: President Carter and Secretary of State Vance have constantly alluded to this in their speeches.

KAISER: It just hasn’t become an issue.

Source: “Trilateralism: The Trilateral Commission and Elite Planning for World Management,” ed. by Holly Sklar, 1980. South End Press, Boston. Pages 192-3.

This interview slipped under the mainstream media radar, which is to say, it was ignored and buried.

US economic and political policy (including war-making) run by a committee of the Trilateral Commission—the Commission had been been created in 1973 as an “informal discussion group” by David Rockefeller and his sidekick, Zbigniew Brzezinski.

The Matrix Revealed

When Carter won the presidential election, his aide, Hamilton Jordan, said that if after the inauguration, Cy Vance and Brzezinski came on board as secretary of state and national security adviser, “We’ve lost. And I’ll quit.” Lost—because both men were powerful members of the Trilateral Commission and their appointment to key positions would signal a surrender of White House control to the Commission.

Vance and Brzezinski were appointed secretary of state and national security adviser, as Jordan feared. But he didn’t quit. He became Carter’s chief of staff.

Now consider the vast propaganda efforts of the past 40 years, on so many levels, to install the idea that all nations and peoples of the world are a single Collective.

From a very high level of political and economic power, this propaganda op has had the objective of grooming the population for a planet that is one coagulated mass, run and managed by one force. A central engine of that force is the Trilateral Commission.

How does a shadowy group like the TC accomplish its goal? One basic strategy is: keep making war. Destabilize nations. Invent endless enemies. Through war, create chaos.

And solve that chaos by bringing order. What kind of order?

One planet, with national borders erased, under one management system, “for the good of all, for lasting peace.”

Political insanity 101

“Democracy is cancerous, and bureaus are its cancer… Bureaus cannot live without a host, being true parasitic organisms… A bureau operates on opposite principles of inventing needs to justify its existence… Bureaucracy is wrong as a cancer, a turning away from the human evolutionary direction of infinite potentials and differentiation and independent spontaneous action to the complete parasitism of a virus… the renunciation of life itself, a falling towards inorganic, inflexible machine, towards dead matter… Bureaus die when the structure of the state collapse. They are as helpless and unfit for independent existence as a displaced tapeworm, or a virus that has killed the host.” —William Burroughs, Naked Lunch

The people who play at loving modern democracy are deceiving themselves and everyone around them on purpose.

They’re really pushing bureaucracy, which runs the show. Agencies publish millions of pages of regulations, and their minion-robots enforce the rules.

They invent complexity and then pretend to solve it.

These bureaus are criminal baronies.

They engineer the perception that they’re necessary.

What’s necessary is the unanalyzable free individual, the very entity the bureaucracy is set up to squash.

Schools and colleges assist the Bureaucratic State by teaching everything except what the free individual might be.

The word “rebel” has fallen out of use. Its replacements are “loner,” “mental patient,” and “terrorist.”

Even the more polite form of “rebel,” the “dissident,” has all but disappeared.

The idea that the artist stands up against the State is viewed as an obsolete sentiment.

Millions of children are raised and schooled to believe the State is trying to control The Corporate Monster, when in fact these two forces are composed of the same faces.

Politics is wall-to-wall bullshit, because the human units who operate in that field are bullshitters. No matter what ideals they profess to support, they’re mechanical and unspontaneous. If you can find one or two politicians who have life-force in them, they’re drowning inside the system.

The whole structure is rotten to the core. But structures don’t die in the usual way. They turn into more dense machines.

Do you want the Left machine or the Right machine?

This goes beyond the discovery that the Democrats and Republicans are one party with two heads, pretending to disagree. The people who live inside the parties are anti-human.

We’re not approaching the Age of the Android. We’re in it.

Stuff a few ideas inside a mind, click a key, start the mechanism.

Exit From the Matrix

This isn’t a reason for despair. Despair, when all is said and done, is just another blinking light in the machine. It signals the absence of life-force and electricity. It signals the deadness of the psyche.

What wakes up the psyche?

Imagination.

Imagination: everything that isn’t.

Everything that isn’t already mechanical.

Everything that isn’t the past or the present.

No bureau owns it.

The politicians with the most earnest and sincere faces are the worst of the lot. Search them out. They’re cartoons speaking to other cartoons. They have no blood left in their veins, only synthetic lubricants.

The cartoons they’re speaking to are humans who are lost, who need slogans in order to produce adrenaline.

We’re in dead time, a Blank Period. These years are always fertile for artists, individual creators.

The unforeseen, the unpredictable takes center stage.

The CDC: mind control on a vast scale

The CDC: mind control on a vast scale

by Jon Rappoport

February 16, 2015

NoMoreFakeNews.com

“Mind control has one basic purpose: the construction of false Reality. The embedding of false Reality to such an extent that it seems absurd to question it or even notice it. Purple and pink raccoons? Of course there are purple and pink raccoons. Why do you even bring it up? Without purple and pink raccoons, the world as we know it would collapse.” (The Underground, Jon Rappoport)

In recent articles (see here and here), I’ve been pointing out that the current “measles outbreak” is a CDC fabrication.

On and off, since 1987, I’ve been following the CDC and its astonishing trail of lies. Lying is its business.

Here is yet another example—-

Once upon a time, the CDC claimed that roughly 36,000 people in the US died every year from the flu. Media sources parroted this figure over and over.

Lately, the CDC has chosen to change that estimate. It’s now between 3,000 and 49,000 flu deaths per year. That’s quite a loose range. Why does the CDC now waffle so egregiously?

Perhaps because they’ve been exposed…

In December of 2005, the British Medical Journal (online) published a shocking report by Peter Doshi, “Are US flu death figures more PR than science?”, which spelled out a delusion and created tremors throughout the halls of the CDC.

Here is a quote from Doshi’s report:

“[According to CDC statistics], ‘influenza and pneumonia’ took 62,034 lives in 2001—61,777 of which were attributable to pneumonia and 257 to flu, and in only 18 cases was the flu virus positively identified.”

You see, the CDC had created one category that combined flu and pneumonia deaths. Why did they do this? Because they self-servingly assumed that the pneumonia deaths were complications stemming from the flu.

This is an absurd assumption. Pneumonia has a number of causes. But even worse, in all the flu deaths, only 18 were traced directly to a flu virus.

Therefore, the CDC could not say, with assurance, that more than 18 people died of the flu in 2001.

(Note: In several articles, I erred and reported “18 flu cases in 2001” instead of “18 flu deaths in 2001”.)

Doshi continues his assessment of published CDC flu-death statistics:

“Between 1979 and 2001, [CDC] data show an average of 1348 [flu] deaths per year (range 257 to 3006).”

However, as Doshi showed from the year 2001, the CDC actually finds the flu virus in a tiny proportion of people who are estimated to have died from the flu. So the CDC range of flu deaths—257 to 3006—is much, much lower when lab confirmation is required. And confirmation needs to be required, unless hocus-pocus guesswork is sufficient.

To the overwhelming percentage of Americans, the idea that only 18 people were positively identified as flu deaths in a year is staggering.

It’s so staggering, they reject it. It must be wrong. It has to be wrong. If it isn’t wrong…

A pillar of reality collapses.

The Matrix Revealed

And we’re not just talking about a Brian Williams pillar of reality or a went-to-war-for-the-wrong-reason pillar of reality. We’re not just talking about the CIA lying or the NSA lying or the President lying.

No. We’re talking about a medical pillar collapsing.

And the medical cartel is the modern Church of Reality. It has its priests in white coats and its CDC bishops and its ceaseless propaganda about an “overwhelming concern for the well-being of humanity.”

Therefore, when many people read this, when they see that only 18 flu deaths in America were confirmed in the year 2001, it doesn’t register at all in their minds.

It’s invisible.

This isn’t “cognitive dissonance.” It’s much, much deeper. It’s “I never read that.” “I don’t remember reading that.” “18 confirmed flu deaths in one year? I never heard of that.”

Mind control par excellence.

It’s on the order of half a major city disappearing overnight and the citizens saying, “Of course, nothing disappeared. How could anything disappear?”

Going even deeper, there are two factors at work here. One, a person’s stubborn refusal to reject reality as he receives it; and two, his refusal to invent a better reality to replace the one that has just crumbled and vanished.

Those two factors underlie the success of mind control.

Of course Saddam had WMDs: how the US knew

by Jon Rappoport

January 24, 2015

(To join our email list, click here.)

Yes, prior to Gulf War 2, all sorts of people were lying about WMDs in Iraq. There was the whole business about the yellowcake and Niger, and Colin Powell speaking before the UN.

There was a WMD depot in Iraq that wasn’t a depot.

There were people who said they had secret evidence Saddam shipped weapons out of the country. And maybe they did have evidence.

But this is a different story. It involves the prospect of inspectors finding very serious weapons and then saying, “Wait! The weapons’ containers have American labels on them!”

That didn’t happen, but it could have. And then what a fiasco would have ensued, since the US government was about to wage war to “end Saddam’s threat.” Yet, the US had armed him.

In 1975, the US signed on to an international treaty banning the production, use, and stockpiling of biological weapons. Ditto for chemical weapons, in 1993. Another treaty.

Here’s a quote from the Washington Post (9/4/13, “When the US looked the other way on chemical weapons”): “…The administrations of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush authorized the sale to Iraq of numerous items…including poisonous chemicals and deadly biological viruses, such as anthrax and bubonic plague…”

Between 1985 and 1989, a US 501C3 firm, American Type Culture Collection, sent Iraq up to 70 shipments of various biowar agents, including 21 strains of anthrax.

Between 1984 and 1989, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) sent Iraq at least 80 different biowar agents, including botulinum toxoid, dengue virus, and West Nile antigen and antibody.

This information on the American Type Culture Collection and the CDC comes from a report, “Iraq’s Biological Weapons Program,” prepared by the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS).

Then we have a comprehensive article by William Blum in the April 1998 Progressive called “Anthrax for Export.” Blum cites a 1994 Senate report confirming that, in this 1985-1989 time period, US shipments of anthrax and other biowar agents to Iraq were licensed by…drum roll, cymbal crash…the US Dept. of Commerce.

Blum quotes from the Senate report: “These biological materials were not attenuated or weakened and were capable of reproduction. It was later learned that these microorganisms exported by the United States were identical to those the United Nations inspectors found and removed from the Iraqi biological warfare program.”

This 1994 Senate report also indicates that the US exported to Iraq the precursors for chemwar agents, actual plans for chemical and biowar production facilities, and chemical-warhead filling equipment. The exports continued until at least November 28, 1989.

Blum lists a few other biowar agents the US shipped to Iraq. Histoplasma Capsulatum, Brucella Melitensis, Clostridium Perfringens, Clostridium tetani–as well as E. coli, various genetic materials, human and bacterial DNA.

Blum also points out that a 1994 Pentagon report dismissed any connection between all these biowar agents and Gulf War Illness. But the researcher who headed up that study, Joshua Lederberg, was actually a director of the US firm that had provided the most biowar material to Iraq in the 1980s: the American Type Culture Collection.

Newsday revealed that the CEO of the American Type Culture Collection was a member of the US Dept. of Commerce’s Technical Advisory Committee. See, the Dept. of Commerce had to license and approve all those exports of biowar agents carried out by the American Type Culture Collection. Get the picture?

Now, as to other US companies which dealt biowar or chemwar agents to Iraq—all such sales having been approved by the US government—the names of these companies are contained in records of the 1992 Senate hearings, “United States Export Policy Toward Iraq Prior to Iraq’s Invasion of Kuwait,” Senate Report 102-996, Senate Committee on Banking Housing and Urban Affairs, 102d Congress, Second Session (October 27, 1992):

Mouse Master (Georgia), Sullaire Corp (Charlotte, North Carolina), Pure Aire (Charlotte, North Carolina), Posi Seal (Conn.), Union Carbide (Conn.), Evapco (Maryland), BDM Corp (Virginia), Spectra Physics (Calif.).

There are about a dozen more.

This also from the Blum article: “A larger number of American firms supplied Iraq with the specialized computers, lasers, testing and analyzing equipment, and other instruments and hardware vital to the manufacture of nuclear weapons, missiles, and delivery systems. Computers, in particular, play a key role in nuclear weapons development. Advanced computers make it feasible to avoid carrying out nuclear test explosions, thus preserving the program’s secrecy. The 1992 Senate hearings implicated [Hewlett Packard, Palo Alto, CA — among others].”

Hewlett Packard said that the recipient of its shipments, Saad 16, was some sort of school in Iraq. But in 1990, the Wall St. Journal stated that Saad 16 was a “heavily fortified, state-of-the-art [Iraqi] complex for aircraft construction, missile design, and, almost certainly, nuclear-weapons research.”

The Matrix Revealed

(To read about Jon’s mega-collection, The Matrix Revealed, click here.)

If you review and think about all these WMD shipments from the US to Iraq, you understand there were many US officials and corporate employees who knew about them. Knew about them then, in the 1980s, and knew about them later, during 2 US wars in Iraq, when American soldiers were sent to Iraq, and could have been exposed to the bio/chem weapons.

And these officials and employees said nothing.

Officials at the CDC and the Dept. of Commerce said nothing. People at the American Type Culture Collection said nothing. People at the Pentagon and the CIA and the NSA said nothing. Presidents said nothing. Employees of the corporations who supplied germs and chemicals said nothing.

It’s clear that the US government shipped those bio/chem weapons to Iraq to aid it in its war against Iran. And yes, Iraq did use chemical weapons against Iran—and also against the Iraqi Kurds. Perhaps you remember that, much later, the US government repeated, over and over, “Saddam used chemical weapons against the Kurds, his own people,” as a reason for attacking Iraq.

So is there any limit beyond which the US government wouldn’t go to foment war, to wage war?

That’s a rhetorical question.

Vast experiments on humans: a forgotten document

Vast experiments on humans: a forgotten document

by Jon Rappoport

January 19, 2015

NoMoreFakeNews.com

People are unaware of the vast scope of human experimentation in America.

Here are just a few examples:

The entire field of psychiatry, which offers 300 so-called mental disorders for diagnosis and drugging, is a pseudoscience, because none of those mental disorders has a defining physical diagnostic test. No blood test, no urine test, no brain scan, no genetic assay.

The entire area of biotech manipulation of food crops, in which genes from one species are inserted into another; the FDA originally approved GMO crops on the basis that it was the biotech industry’s responsibility to assure safety and no health risk.

Every year in the US, the medical system kills 225,000 people. (See B. Starfield, JAMA, July 26, 2000, “Is US health really the best in the world?”) Of those 225,000 deaths, 106,000 are caused by FDA-approved drugs. This means that, once the drugs are approved, everything that then happens to the public is one grand uncontrolled experiment.

The entire area of vaccines; although numerous “experts” proclaim serious adverse reactions are rare, the system for counting reactions is broken. Barbara Loe Fisher, of the National Vaccine Information Center, has reasonably pegged the annual number of severe adverse effects at between 100,000 and 1.2 million.

As I said, these are just a few examples. There are others. For instance, the entire experiment involving spraying chemical substances near the ground and high above the ground, which includes weather control and manipulation.

Here is a largely forgotten 1994 document that adds fuel to this conflagration.

Human Experimentation
An Overview on Cold War Era Programs

Statement of Frank C. Conahan, Assistant Comptroller General,
National Security and International Affairs Division

I offer selected quotes.

This is, I assure you, mind-boggling material. Read it carefully. The testimony speaks for itself. It also provides historical context for what is happening now in America, the land of guinea pigs:

“We are pleased to be here today to discuss the use of humans in tests and experiments conducted for national security purposes by the Department of Defense (DOD) and other agencies between 1940 and 1974.”

“As you requested, we focused our work on defense-affiliated programs that used human test subjects between 1940 and 1974. The programs included tests and experiments conducted or sponsored by the Departments of the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force; the Defense Nuclear Agency; the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA); the Department of Energy; and the Department of Health and Human Services. The tests and experiments involved radiological, chemical, and biological research…”

“…we have identified hundreds of radiological, chemical, and biological tests and experiments in which hundreds of thousands of people were used as test subjects. These tests and experiments often involved hazardous substances such as radiation, blister and nerve agents, biological agents, and lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). In some cases, basic safeguards to protect people were either not in place or not followed. For example, some tests and experiments were conducted in secret; others involved the use of people without their knowledge or consent or their full knowledge of the risks involved.”

“The effects of the tests and experiments are often difficult to determine. Although some participants suffered immediate acute injuries, and some died, in other cases adverse health problems were not discovered until many years later–often 20 to 30 years or longer.”

“Government testing and experimentation with human subjects continues today because of its importance to national security agencies. For example, the Army’s Medical Research Institute for Infectious Disease uses volunteers in its tests of new vaccines for malaria, hepatitis, and other exotic diseases.”

“Since 1974, federal regulations have become more protective of research subjects and, in general, require (1) the formation of institutional review boards and procedures and (2) researchers to obtain informed consent from human subjects and ensure that their participation is voluntary and based on knowledge of the potential risks and benefits. We are in the process of reviewing the effectiveness of these measures. A National Institutes of Health official has stated that no mechanism exists to ensure implementation of the key federal policies in this area.”

“Precise information on the scope and magnitude of government tests and experiments involving human subjects is not available, and exact numbers may never be known.”

“However, our review of available documentation and interviews with agency officials identified hundreds of tests and experiments in which hundreds of thousands of people were used as subjects. Some of these tests and experiments involved the intentional exposure of people to hazardous substances such as radiation, blister and nerve agents, biological agents, LSD, and phencyclidine (PCP). These tests and experiments were conducted to support weapon development programs, identify methods to protect the health of military personnel against a variety of diseases and combat conditions, and analyze U.S. defense vulnerabilities. Healthy adults, children, psychiatric patients, and prison inmates were used in these tests and experiments. Documenting the precise number of tests and participants is difficult because government information is incomplete. Some records have been lost or destroyed, and existing documentation contains limited information and often does not identify names of participants.”

“To date, over 200 radiation tests and experiments have been identified involving over 210,000 test participants. Although not involved in a test or experiment, another 199,000 people were exposed to radiation through work. This latter group is of concern because the effects of the exposure are the same as those incurred by test participants. The radiation tests are generally recognized as involving the largest number of test participants.”

“The largest known test program was the atmospheric nuclear test program conducted from 1945 to 1962. The purpose of this program was to develop weapons and to gain a better understanding of the tactical effect on troops. Over this 17-year period, approximately 210,000 DOD-affiliated personnel, including civilian employees of DOD contractors, scientists, technicians, maneuver and training troops, and support personnel, participated in 235 atmospheric nuclear tests. We reported on two of these tests, known as Operation Crossroads, in 1985.”

“According to DOD officials, as many as 150,000 of the 210,000 participants may have been exposed to fallout. In addition, 195,000 U.S. service members may have been exposed to radiation during the occupation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and over 4,000 other service members may have been exposed during cleanups at Bikini, Enewetak, and Johnston Atolls after nuclear tests were conducted. Some participants have alleged that they were not fully informed or did not understand the potential health risks of exposure to radiation.”

“In a series of experiments conducted between the 1940s and 196Os, the Atomic Energy Commission and the U.S. Public Health Service funded research of the potential medical effects on people from fallout after a nuclear attack or accident. In some of the experiments, university researchers exposed mentally disabled children to low doses of radiation. Years after the experiments were completed, a task force found that researchers failed to satisfactorily inform the subjects’ families about the nature and risk of the experiments in order for them to make an informed decision when they gave their consent. The president of one of the universities involved in the experiments later apologized for the use of children and the failure to provide full information about the nature and risk. We are not aware of what, if any, further action was taken in this case.”

The Matrix Revealed

“During World War II and the Cold War era, the Army and the Navy conducted two major chemical research experiments in which thousands of service members were used as test subjects. An unknown number of other chemical tests and experiments were conducted under contracts with universities, hospitals, and medical research facilities. In some of the tests and experiments, healthy adults, psychiatric patients, and prison inmates were used without their knowledge or consent or their full knowledge of the risks involved.”

“During World War II, the Army conducted tests of protective clothing and equipment in which thousands of people were exposed to mustard gas and lewisite agents. In addition, the Army developed and tested offensive chemical weapons and evaluated the effectiveness and persistency of mustard agents in different environments. In February 1993, we reported that the Army’s records of its mustard test activities were not kept in a manner that readily identifies the participants. (see: ‘Veterans Disability: Information From Military May Help VA Assess Claims Related to Secret Tests (GAO/NSIAD-93-89, Feb. 18, 1993)’)”

“However, the available records show that 1,002 soldiers were commended for their participation in [chemical] tests in which they subjected themselves to pain, discomfort, and possible permanent injury for the advancement of research in protection of the armed services.”

“Similar to the Army’s tests, the Navy conducted tests of clothing and equipment that exposed thousands to the effects of mustard gas and lewisite agents [lewisite is a chemical weapon, blister agent, lung irritant, which causes severe burns and can cause death]. These experiments involved (1) gas chamber tests, in which service members were completely exposed to mustard and lewisite agents while wearing protective clothing, and (2) skin tests, in which amounts of mustard agent and antivesicant ointments were applied to service members’ forearms. The Navy has a list of the names of approximately 3,200 sailors who participated in mustard and lewisite agent tests performed by the Naval Research Laboratory. Additionally, Navy officials told us that between 15,000 and 60,000 Navy recruits had participated in skin tests conducted by a contractor but that the Navy had no record of the recruits’ names.”

“From 1952 to 1975, the Army conducted a classified medical research program to develop incapacitating agents. The program involved testing nerve agents, nerve agent antidotes, psychochemicals, and irritants. The chemicals were given to volunteer service members at the Edgewood Arsenal, Maryland, and four other locations. Army documents identify a total of 7,120 Army and Air Force personnel who participated in these tests, about half of whom were exposed to chemicals. The Army’s Medical Research and Development Command in Fort Detrick, Maryland, has the names and service numbers of all test participants and a list of the chemicals to which the service members were exposed. Some service members have testified before congressional committees that they were not fully informed of the risks involved.”

“During the same period, the Army Chemical Corps contracted with various universities, state hospitals, and medical foundations to research the disruptive influences that psychochemical agents could have on combat troops. The Air Force also conducted experiments on the effects of LSD through contracts at five universities. According to Air Force officials and records, approximately 100 people received LSD in these experiments. No effort has been made by the Air Force to determine if the participants’ names are available in the universities’ records.”

“According to a CIA official, from 1553 to about 1964, the CIA conducted a series of experiments called MKULTRA to test vulnerabilities to behavior modification drugs. As a part of these experiments, LSD and other psychochemical drugs were administered to an undetermined number of people without their knowledge or consent. According to the official, the names of those involved in the tests are not available because names were not recorded or the records were subsequently destroyed. However, some tests were done under contract, and no effort has been made by the CIA to determine if names are available in contractors’ records.”

“The Army conducted a series of biological warfare experiments and tests between 1949 and 1974. The purpose of these tests was to determine U.S. vulnerabilities to biological warfare. For example, between 1949 and 1969, the Army conducted several hundred biological warfare tests in which unaware populations were sprayed with bacterial tracers or simulants that the Army thought were harmless at that time. Some of the tests involved spraying large areas, such as the cities of St. Louis and San Francisco, and others involved spraying more focused areas, such as the New York City subway system and Washington National Airport.”

“In another Army experiment conducted between 1959 and 1974, approximately 2,200 volunteers were exposed to biological pathogens, such as Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis and Tularemia, as part of research to develop vaccines and antidotes.”

“Available records show that people suffered immediate acute injuries in some tests and that people died in at least two tests. For example, available records show that some participants in the Army’s and the Navy’s mustard and lewisite tests suffered burns and required hospitalization. Also, in a highly publicized case, an Army employee died in 1953, a short time after participating in a CIA experiment using LSD.”

“Research studies have also shown that exposure to some of the substances used in the tests may create health problems that often will not appear for many years. For example, the National Academy of Sciences concluded in 1993 that exposure to mustard agents could cause many serious diseases that would not immediately appear, such as leukemia, emphysema, respiratory and skin cancers, and eye diseases, and that lewisite agents could cause some of these same diseases.”

“…some agencies have made little effort to assist test participants by identifying test locations and participants in experiments conducted by contractors. The CIA, in fact, has not released the names of 15 of the approximately 80 organizations that conducted experiments under the previously discussed MKULTRA program because the organizations do not want to be identified.”

If you’ve grasped what you’ve just read, I don’t need to highlight the horrendous facts. However, I would offer a coda:

Right now, on Maui, Monsanto and Dow are suing to nullify a citizens’ vote that blocked biotech GMO/pesticide experimentation in that county.

These corporations are undertaking toxic experiments on the whole population in that area. The scientific data re GMOs and pesticides are locked up as “proprietary corporate property.”

Yet another secret, yet another pronouncement that “everything is safe.”

No protection, no informed consent, no transparency, no independent review.

Even among corporate insiders, very few know the full extent and nature of the GMOs being deployed or the chemicals being sprayed on the heads of the people.

It’s in the grand tradition—human experimentation. RICO crime, war crime. Depraved indifference to human life, in the service of “helping the planet.”

Media: the most shocking interview that “never happened”

by Jon Rappoport

January 16, 2015

(To join our email list, click here.)

Suppose a reporter interviewed players behind the scenes re the question: who really runs the US government? Who really sets national policy?

A legit interview. Actual people. Actual quotes. Not just a circumstantial case.

And suppose these players answered the big questions directly and unmistakably?

And then…nothing happened.

No further coverage. No media hounds let loose to dig further. No government investigation. Nothing.

Well, it’s true. There was an interview. The questions were asked and answered. There was no tap-dancing or beating around the bush or vague reference.

Anyone who was anyone in Washington politics or media had access to the interview. Understood its meaning.

But no one shouted from the rooftops. No one used the conversation to force a scandal. No one protested loudly.

The conversation revealed that the entire basis of the Constitution had been torpedoed, that the people who were running US national policy were agents of an elite shadow group.

And yet: official silence. Media silence. The Dept. of Justice made no moves, Congress undertook no serious inquiries, and the President, Jimmy Carter, issued no statements. Carter was himself a covert agent in the White House, a willing pawn, and despite his proclaimed religious values, was nothing more than a rank con artist, a hustler, a phony down to his fingertips.

I’ll boil down the 1978 conversation between a reporter and two Trilateral Commission members:

“The US has been taken over.”

“Yes, so?”

By the way, the infamous Trilateral Commission still exists.

* Tim Geithner, Treasury Secretary;

* James Jones, National Security Advisor;

* Paul Volker, Chairman, Economic Recovery Committee;

It concerned the issue of exactly who was formulating US economic and political policy.

[untrue]

KAISER: It just hasn’t become an issue.

Source: “Trilateralism: The Trilateral Commission and Elite Planning for World Management,” ed. by Holly Sklar, 1980. South End Press, Boston. Pages 192-3.

This interview “slipped under the mainstream media radar,” which is to say, it was ignored, buried, sat on, censored.

US economic and political policy run by a committee of the Trilateral Commission—the Commission had been created in 1973 as an “informal discussion group” by David Rockefeller and his sidekick, Zbigniew Brzezinski.

Think about this: if the interview had gained exposure, if it had ignited a firestorm in the press, with reporters pouring gasoline on it day in and day out, for months, interviewing Trilateral players and their government allies and their banking allies and their mega-corporate allies and their shills…with rats coming out of the closet and confessing exactly how the US government had been taken over…

…with headlines like:

SECRETIVE GROUP RUNS US NATIONAL POLICY;

US GOVERNMENT HELD PRISONER BY TRILATERAL COMMISSION;

AMERICA RUN BY ROCKEFELLER;

THE MEN BEHIND THE CURTAIN: DESTROYING INDEPENDENT AMERICA…

On and on and on…

This would have created the seeds of an alternative future, a future quite unlike the present we are living through now.

Of course, the naysayers would say it’s futile to imagine a future that didn’t happen, and we should just lay down and forget and let the takeover proceed. Yes, they always say that. They always say there is no chance for victory, because they’ve given up on their own lives, they’ve made their own internal compromises, they’ve sold themselves out over and over, they’ve bargained away their last chip of power and imagination, and they want companions in their spiritual narcosis.

But there it is. The interview that “never happened.”

US musicians drafted into the CIA’s MKULTRA

by Jon Rappoport

January 12, 2015

(To join our email list, click here.)

The CIA mind-control program is medically based. It employs doctors and psychiatrists and researchers. This isn’t just some small group of fringe whackos who have an idea about altering human behavior.

CIA contractors in the private sector resonate with the goals of the program, because they are already trying, in their own way, to change human reaction and thought.

They don’t need a nudge. MKULTRA isn’t foreign territory for them.

In fact, the entire field of psychiatry is about mind control: the diagnosis of arbitrarily labeled mental disorders; the application of toxic drugs to alter brain response, modulate neurotransmitters, and affect hormonal outputs; and the propagandizing of the population to accept the notion that everyone will experience a mental disorder in his/her lifetime.

Biological/chemical psychiatry is, in its current form, a stunning version of MKULTRA right out in the open, with the blessing and backing of national governments, court systems, prisons, mainstream media, and academia.

Here is a bit of US history that illustrates the reach of the CIA’s infamous mind-control program, MKULTRA.

Some would say the 1940s and 50s were the most vibrant and innovative period in the history of jazz.

During those years, it was common knowledge that musicians who were busted for drug use were shipped, or volunteered to go, to Lexington, Kentucky. Lex was the first Narcotics Farm and US Health Dept. drug treatment hospital in the US.

According to diverse sources, here’s a partial list of the reported “hundreds” of jazz musicians who went to Lex: Red Rodney, Sonny Rollins, Chet Baker, Sonny Stitt, Howard McGhee, Elvin Jones, Zoot Sims, Lee Morgan, Tadd Dameron, Stan Levey, Jackie McLean.

It’s also reported that Ray Charles was there, and William Burroughs, Peter Lorre, and Sammy Davis, Jr.

It was supposed to be a rehab center. A place for drying out.

But it was something else too. Lex was used by the CIA as one of its MKULTRA centers for experimentation on inmates.

The doctor in charge of this mind control program was Harris Isbell. Ironically, Isbell was, at the same time, a member of the FDA’s Advisory Committee on the Abuse of Depressant and Stimulant Drugs.

Isbell gave LSD and other psychedelics to inmates at Lex.

At Sandoz labs in Switzerland, Dr. Albert Hofmann, the discoverer of LSD, also synthesized psilocybin from magic mushrooms. The CIA got some of this new synthetic from Hofmann and gave it to Isbell so he could try it out on inmates at Lex.

MKULTRA was a CIA program whose goal was to control minds…in part through the use of drugs.

Isbell worked at Lex from the 1940s through 1963. It is reported that in one experiment, Isbell gave LSD to 7 inmates for 77 consecutive days. At 4 times the normal dosage. That is a chemical hammer of incredible proportions.

To induce inmates to join this drug experiment, they were offered the drug of their choice, which in many cases was heroin. So at a facility dedicated to drying out and rehabbing addicts, addicts were subjected to MKULTRA experiments and THEN a re-establishment of their former habit.

Apparently as many as 800 different drugs were sent to Isbell by the CIA or CIA allies to use on patients at Lex. Two of the allies? The US Navy and the US National Institute of Mental Health—further proof that MKULTRA extended beyond the CIA.

In another MKULTRA experiment at Lex, nine men were strapped down on tables. They were injected with psilocybin. Lights were beamed at their eyes–a typical mind control component.

During Isbell’s tenure, no one knows how many separate experiments he ran on the inmates. No one knows what other mind-control programming he attempted to insert along with the drugs.

As I say, Lex was the main stop for drying out for NY jazz musicians. How many of them were taken into these MKULTRA programs?

As Martin Lee explains in his book, Acid Dreams, “It became an open secret…that if the [heroin] supply got tight [on the street], you could always commit yourself to Lexington, where heroin and morphine were doled out as payment if you volunteered for Isbell’s whacky drug experiments. (Small wonder Lexington had a return rate of 90%.)”

A June 15, 1999, Counterpunch article by Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair, “CIA’s Sidney Gottlieb: Pusher, Assassin & Pimp— US Official Poisoner Dies,” contains these quotes on Dr. Isbell:

“Gottlieb also funded the experiments of Dr. Harris Isbell. Isbell ran the Center for Addiction Research in Lexington, Kentucky. Passing through Isbell’s center was a captive group of human guinea pigs in the form of a steady stream of black heroin addicts. More than 800 different chemical compounds were shipped from Gottlieb to Lexington for testing on Isbell’s patients.

“Perhaps the most infamous experiment came when Isbell gave LSD to seven black men for seventy-seven straight days. Isbell’s research notes indicates that he gave the men ‘quadruple’ the ‘normal’ dosages. The doctor marveled at the men’s apparent tolerance to these remarkable amounts of LSD. Isbell wrote in his notes that ‘this type of behavior is to be expected in patients of this type.’

“In other Gottlieb-funded experiment at the Center, Isbell had nine black males strapped to tables, injected them with psylocybin, inserted rectal thermometers, had lights shown in their eyes to measure pupil dilation and had their joints whacked to test neural reactions.”

If you think these experiments were so extreme they bear no resemblance to modern psychiatry, think again. Thorazine, the first so-called anti-psychotic drug, was researched on the basis of its ability to make humans profoundly quiescent and passive. Electroshock and lobotomy are straight-out torture techniques that also destroy parts of the brain. SSRI antidepressants increase violent behavior, including homicide. Among its many documented effects, Ritalin can induce hallucinations and paranoia.

Well, all these effects are part and parcel of the original (and ongoing) MKULTRA.
