Why I want more writers in the world

Yes, I believe my collection, Power Outside The Matrix can help people who want to become writers or much better writers.

I want more writers in the world—journalists, poets, novelists, playwrights—because they create narratives. New ones.

And this is important, because people, faced with what’s going on around them, have an incurable habit of listening to inner brain narratives of anxiety, impending trouble, and doom. Whether they know it not.

Writers outdistance and outflank that habit. A writer un-traps himself and his readers from that habit.

During my 75 years or so of reading, I’ve jumped into all sorts of writers. For a 10-year span, it was crime and spy fiction. Ian Fleming, John D MacDonald, James M Cain, Donald Hamilton, John Buchan, and finally and great and underappreciated Philip Atlee and his series of Joe Gall secret agent novels. I read and reread Atlee’s books. I learned so much about writing it was ridiculous. He was a great teacher without ever intending to be.

These books fortified me. They built wave after wave of new stories in my mind. New possibilities. New thoughts. New thoughts that spawned other thoughts. So…why bother with automatic narratives that groveled and crawled in the direction of gloom Fate? No need for that.

Writers liberate everybody.

Writing is abundance.

Automatic narratives in the mind are appointed bureaucrats of scarcity.

Science fiction—another decade or so of reading. Ray Bradbury, Heinlein, Philip Dick, AE Van Vogt, Norman Spinrad, and a host of nameless pulp authors who took me to other galaxies in the words of their opening paragraphs. BANG. You travel to those places, and when you come back, you’re refreshed. You’re emerging from a five star spa of mind and soul. You don’t need the old stories your brain is blabbering in its nursing home address on the edge of town.

There was a period in my teens and early 20s when I read the authors I was supposed to. Herman Hesse, Poe, DH Lawrence, Yeats, Dylan Thomas, Arthur Miller, Eric Hoffer, Henry Miller, Ayn Rand, William Burroughs. But “supposed to” dissolved. I was leaping into and out of all sorts of different kinds of fire. I KNEW all bets were off. ALL narratives were up for grabs. I could go ANYWHERE.

This is a good thing to know.

This is one of the best things to know.

Believing in freedom is one thing. Feeling free is quite another. Writing (doing it or reading it) gives you the feeling.

It gives you a platform on which to stand. A stage. A new stage.

One day in the 1980s, I started reading Harlan Ellison. His stories and his essays. This was a man who had muscles and balls in his brain, along with an unending stream of original thoughts. He shot killer poisoned arrows at his enemies and never backed down. He also had the capacity to tell you something you wanted to know while promoting and advertising himself. One of his undying messages: have courage, my friends. Ellison was and is a tonic, a unique tonic. He destroys and lifts up all at once. Where else are you going to get that?

This is what I mean. Writers give us what we need.

And one more thing for now. Writers say to us, “You can sit there and pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about, you can pretend you’re dumb, but I know something is getting through. And whatever that something is, it’s ESSENTIAL. It makes all the difference. It’s a glimpse of what you really want.”

For writers and people on the verge of being writers

Yes, I believe my collection, Power Outside The Matrix can help people who want to become writers or much better writers.

I’ve been around the block 10,000 times. I’ve been writing for 67 years.

I know something about it.

I also know something about the people who want to write, who want to do it outside the mainstream.

They aren’t going to journalism school. They aren’t going to jump in that river and learn that system.

This is good, because there is no system—there are only artificial pretenses of systems.

The first point is: You’re going to put something on the page that you like to see, and readers are going to engage with. Something that pulls them out of what they ordinarily expect. Which shows you’re different. You’re not out to bore them to death. This is a major plus. For you and your readers.

“He’s not trying to put me to sleep. I’m on his side already.”

Clue: If you bore readers, you’re boring yourself. And that’s fatal.

In fact, one of the reasons a person becomes a writer is to “un-bore” himself. He wants to feel alive.

This is good. This is not a sin.

So put something on the page that makes you feel alive.

That’s the test. That’s ambition in the right direction.

I’m doubling down.

This is bigger than you know. This is bigger than any of us knows.

I’m finding my way here, and in the process a whole new landscape is coming into view. What would a real President say and how would he say it? What would he do if he had balls of steel? That’s where it started with me—with those simple questions. But it’s become a lot more.

And people who think their favorite Presidential example is JFK or Trump or DeSantis or Reagan—what I’m talking about is WAY, WAY beyond any of that.

So I’m doubling down with the new podcast. I’m talking about a real revolution here. One that penetrates all the layers of phoniness and pretension and compromise that infect every aspect of national life, and digs down to the GOLD. The reality that people hope for and yearn for. A vision of what a real leader would be.

A hundred such leaders could change the course of history. Now. And guess what? Those leaders are among us. They just haven’t come forward with every ounce of courage and energy. Yet.

The delusion is: we’re stuck with a culture of insanity that surrounds us and is overwhelming us. WRONG.

In the podcast, I’m going to explain how and why that’s wrong.

In Part One, I laid out very specific approaches that would turn this culture around and put it on the right track. I’m going to amplify and expand that discussion in Part 2. But I’m not “presenting data.” No. I’m going past the data to the muscle and blood and bone and brains and heart and imagination of revolution at the core. The leaders. The real President. The man who, from word one, strikes a nerve and a chord with millions of people and MAKES GOOD on his words.

He doesn’t step back. He doesn’t retreat into narcissism and a cult of his own personality. He attacks and keeps attacking. He relentlessly moves forward.

He steps into, and occupies, the vacuum, the emptiness at the heart of this culture, and he shows people what they’ve been waiting for.

This isn’t just fiction. This is realer than real.

The people are starving and the skies are clear

Let me put this on the table: Inflation IS their climate change plan.

That old broken down demented grifter, Joe Biden, said the price of gas at the pump was the doing of GAS STATION OWNERS, and all they had to do was cut the price.

The Political Left—meaning Globalists—want to limit driving and traveling and use of oil across the board. This is the limit-CO2 agenda.

But that agenda was and is a cover for enforced poverty and lower energy use.

That agenda is the Globalists’ planned future for all of us.

A decrepit country struggling to maintain any sort of functioning economy at all.

Because that country is easier to take over.

It has nothing to do with global warming and CO2, which was a con from the get-go. A way of throttling industry.

Every tyrant down through history has longed for the day when he could say to the people, “If you don’t want to starve, let me take care of you. I will. You just have to obey all my orders.”

I don’t know what the oil company CEOs are doing these days. But if they grew a pair of balls, they would find a way to deliver oil at a reasonable price, even if they had to break the law to do it and force the federal government to send in troops to stop them. THEN the public would know what’s going on. THEN the people would speak. THEN we would have something.

The problem is, the oil execs have been sucking at the federal money teat for far too long. They’ve turned into collaborators.

They don’t know how to go public and speak straight from the shoulder to the people. They only know how to do corporate speak, blown-dry air-brushed bullshit.

They’ve had it too easy.

We got a preview of corporate courage when Trump stood aside and let that worm, little Anthony Fauci, take over the country during the fraudulent pandemic. The national lockdown was declared, and big-time corporate heads did NOTHING to rebel and keep their doors open for business. They just gathered around the federal bailout trough and snorted in cash.

They STILL don’t see what’s waiting for them up the road. The Globalist plan to enforce poverty means the customers bases of those corporations will shrink and keep shrinking.

More and more, the corporations will become giant bureaucracies of the federal government.

Not ONE of these CEOs will stand up and say, “America, this is what is REALLY going on…the government is driving you into poverty. We’re not going to sit here and take it. As of today, we’re all-out rebels, but we need millions of you to support us…”

America is 10 CEOs and 10 microphones away from the beginning of a revolution.

If people could see it.

The Matrix Revealed: The trick behind Occult systems

It should be obvious to readers who’ve been with me for a while that I attack delusion in more than one place. Political systems, medical systems…and so-called spiritual systems.

That’s because I happen to believe in legitimate limited government, healing, and the unbounded life of the individual spiritual being.

Occult systems, which propose they have a hidden secret at the core, which will be revealed after a long and exhaustive search, are, at best, deluded, because they are concealing CONTENT.

By content, I mean information, knowledge, pattern, some facet of what already exists. This is a dead-end.

There is nothing wrong with truthful information. But….

Suppose we had a secret society called The Inner Core Flame X42. And we sold our members on the idea that, after a series of ascending initiations, they would arrive at the X, the secret of secrets.

Well, what could X be? Some nugget of information, some formula or phrase or fact or made-up fact about existence that is supposed to solve problems and enlighten consciousness.

But consciousness is dynamic. It isn’t a key looking for a lock.

Consciousness is dynamic because it creates. It creates new realities.

It isn’t primarily a container for What Is, for what already exists.

If there is a secret about consciousness, that’s it. IT CREATES.

So no matter what X we cooked up, it would become obsolete, of minor value.

Humans are ripe for buying an X because they are trained, and train themselves, to place the highest value on What Already Exists.

That’s mind control par excellence.

Occult systems deliver what controlled minds expect, and that’s why they’ve flourished. That’s the only reason why.

But there is another way.

When a person sees the “artistic” blow-by-blow creation of these power structures, in progress—rather than the finished product—an entirely new consciousness arises.

“If they can create Reality for me, I can create my own.”

“If they are artists, I can be an artist, too—but in an entirely different direction.”

The Matrix ceases to be a monolith. It is revealed as an ongoing weave, and one can see the process at work.

Then, one’s own insight operates on behalf of liberation.

A person can actually see how he cooperates in the progression of accepting “the weave.”

And he sees other options.

Therefore, as I put together The Matrix Revealed, I made sure to show Matrix as a work in process, an ongoing enterprise, a work of art, as it were, that can be dismantled—as a person takes another road of his own.

This is vital. It transforms victimization into inspiration.

Why criminal bankers must stay out of jail

Because people forget, and because recent history and its crimes go down a hole where they sit in the dark and decay without consequences, I bring back some of my earlier articles. Here is one, from 2012:

Aside from their normal duties, banks serve as a social construct. They assure the population that money is in the right place. Vaults, accounts. Banks are where the money goes.

Of course, that idea has broken down in recent years, as people have become aware that banks do bad things.

Still, people maintain a certain amount of faith in these archons of money.

There is one thing, though, that must not happen. It would register too high a psychic shock for the population: bankers going to jail. Not just one or two of them, but a whole gaggle. All sorts of bankers being led off in chains would shatter public confidence. The people might realize that:

Bankland is gangland.

So, in order to maintain some semblance of public confidence in banks, a legal wrinkle is introduced.

You launder billions in drug money and terrorist money, and when you get caught, you say you’re sorry and you go free. It’s paradise.

There’s an official DOJ name for the apology. It’s called “deferred prosecution.”

The guilty-as-sin bankers a) say they’re sorry, b) swear they won’t do it again, and c) pay a fine, which always turns out to be a minor fraction of the proceeds of the criminal enterprise.

WND reports: Stuart Gulliver, chief honcho at banking behemoth HSBC, which was found guilty of massive money laundering, said the bank accepts responsibility “for past mistakes…we have said we are profoundly sorry for them, and we do so again.”

And poof. Gulliver walks.

Whereas, the last time I looked, if you’re moving cocaine in New York, rather than laundering the cocaine profits, “I’m sorry” doesn’t quite cut it when you’re busted.

By the way, the meaning of the word “defer” is “postpone” or “put off” until later. But with bankers, deferred prosecution is a cover for absolutely no criminal prosecution at any time and no prison sentences ever. I guess they didn’t want to call it “making prosecution vanish.”

Also, Mr. Gulliver of HSBC, if you noticed, was apologizing for “mistakes.” Laundering billions of dollars was evidently a series of accidental and unintended happenings, much like adding columns of numbers incorrectly. These people know how to twist meanings.

In bankland, the only thing keeping a CEO from sleeping at night is the inability to stop laughing.

John Cruz, the whistleblower who helped take HSBC down, had a slightly different take on the bank’s “mistakes.” He called the government’s $1.9 billion fine “a joke.” He said, “This bank is organized crime.” He asserted that HSBC has laundered trillions of dollars.

Cruz gave the DOJ tapes of bank employees discussing their crimes, but apparently deferred prosecution won the day. No jail for anyone.

Bill Conroy, one of the best drug-war reporters around, writing at NarcoNews, names the following banks who have been accused of major laundering and, instead of criminal trials, have been granted deferred prosecution:

Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, Wachovia (bought by Wells Fargo), ING, Standard Chartered, American Express International.

A nice group. A high-toned group.

“What did you do at the office today, Daddy?”

“I laundered four hundred million dollars for the Sinaloa Cartel, Jimmy.”

Sidebar: When you live in bankland, and you end up on the short end of your own criminal scam pushing mortgage-backed derivatives, you win “deferred prosecution plus.” No apology necessary, and you can lay your hands on a few hundred billion from the government, as part of a bailout. This is even easier than washing drug dollars.

The government will tell you their bank regulators are stretched thin, overworked, and underpaid. But correct me if I’m wrong, isn’t the whole point of laundering money turning monstrous amounts of raw cash into digitized entries in bank accounts?

And if so, aren’t there places in the pipeline where giant containers full of money actually arrive at back doors?

Aren’t those back doors, in whatever countries they exist, rather easy to spot? Don’t the CIA and numerous other intelligence agencies have time to find those doors…if they want to?

Actually, in bankland, you have powerful intelligence agencies standing by to grease your rails and watch your back.

And life keeps getting better.

Do you seriously think these alphabet government agencies handle guard duty, year after year, decade after decade, watching the back doors and taking their little piece of the cartels’ action, while the privileged residents of bankland rake in the more serious money?

No, no. The agencies want and get full partnerships. In the whole enterprise.

In the cologne-scented atmosphere of bankland, consequences are deferred.

You go to an Ivy League school, you get your degree, you move to New York, you go to work for a bank, and after a while you wash billions of dollars for the Sinaloa. You take the train back to Scarsdale every night and ride home in a taxi. You vote Republican or Democrat. You occasionally explain to yourself why you have to do what you do.

You know all the best people. You look at them and they look at you, and a silent understanding passes between you. A recognition that you’re both in the same basic kind of business.

You’ve long since decided that, in this world, there are the strong and the weak. If on many streetcorners, in many cities around the world, addicts are showing up to get their next jolt, that’s their problem. You have no problems. You live in bankland.

Oh the stories you could tell. But you don’t.

Your bank loves that liquid cash. And all that money finds its way into the legitimate economies of many countries, and isn’t it a good thing? It’s alchemical. You’re turning the bad into good.

Surely you are.

If Occupy Wall Street had started out with gigantic signs featuring names of prominent banks above the phrase, WASHING BILLIONS IN DRUG MONEY, do you think network television cameras would have been down at Battery Park every day, and do you think moron news anchors and the White House would have been praising those fearless youths in the Park?

Do you really think so?
