My personal consulting services: the client’s inner vision

“You get up at 3 in the morning. For some reason, you feel refreshed and alert. Your mind is quiet. You walk to the window and look out at the lights in the darkness. Out there in space, you suddenly see a future. A future you deeply desire. It’s there. A wave of uplifting energy courses through you. It’s undeniable.” (The Magician Awakes, Jon Rappoport)

This article is a continuation of pieces about my work as a consultant.

One of the lessons learned has to do with dialogue—ongoing conversation with clients.

The whole point is to understand the individual I’m working with, at a level where dialogue can lead to spontaneous solutions.

There is no real progress without that understanding. Protocols and systems for advancement are necessary, but what gives life to a system or a plan? What gives living energy to an enterprise? If you can find that, you find good ideas and answers and solutions arising naturally.

This is the basis: an individual creates. That creation has life in it. It’s not a dead thing. When it’s dead, nothing of value happens.

If someone said to you, “Look, what I want to create, the future I want to invent needs to be entirely predictable and efficient and mechanical and dead,” you would think that was quite odd. And of course you would be right.

Any expansive enterprise (future) worth pursuing isn’t mechanical. It will have parts that are “standardized,” and the person launching the enterprise will plan specific details and outcomes, yes. Of course. But underneath it all is a fountainhead of innovation/vision. The fountainhead is brimming with spontaneous energy.

Every person wants to create something significant. This desire can move mountains and transform emotions.

My consulting work approaches the client from two sides: one side is strategy—what to do to forward his enterprise, and this can be quite specific; the other side is unearthing the client’s vision and desire about what to create in the world now and in the future.

The latter approach doesn’t have, and will never have, a system. Why? Because the client is alive, and therefore his starting point is not mechanical.

Different people will discover different “percentages” of their fullest and deepest desires for their future. One person sees 10%, another sees 20%, another sees 60%, and so on.

If a person launches an enterprise based on 30% of his fullest potential vision for his future, and if he can make that enterprise succeed, then he will see something he never saw before: part of his desire made into fact in the world, right in front of his eyes.

And then, with new confidence, there is a good chance he’ll reveal, to himself, a larger percentage of his vision, and he will launch a larger enterprise wedded to that “larger percentage.”

A step at a time, each step longer.

Eyes opening. Inner vision blooming.

Spontaneous answers arising.

This expanding process is a key to a rewarding life.
