The Illusion called medical journalism: the deep secret

—Some of the greatest illusions are sitting out in the open. They are bypassed for two reasons. People refuse to believe they are illusions, despite the abundant evidence; and the professionals dedicated to upholding the illusions continue their work as if nothing at all has been exposed.
Medical journalists in the mainstream rely completely on studies published in prestigious journals.
This is the rock. This is the science.
This is also the source of doctors’ authoritarian and arrogant advice to patients.
“Studies show…”
Well, that wraps it up. Nothing else to prove. The studies in the journals are the final word.
Medical reporters base their entire careers on these published reports.
But what if higher and more credible authorities rejected all these studies? What if they’ve scrutinized more studies than any reporter or doctor possibly could…and have come to a shocking and opposite conclusion?
This very thing has happened. And the conclusions have been published. But medical reporters ignore them and go their merry way, as if a vast pillar of modern medicine is still intact…when it isn’t, when it has been decimated.
Buckle up.
Let us begin with a statement made by Dr. Marcia Angell, the former editor of The New England Journal of Medicine, perhaps the most prestigious medical journal in the world—a journal that routinely vets and prints thousands of medical studies:
“It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.” — Marcia Angell, MD, The New York Review of Books, January 15, 2009
You might want to read that statement several times, to savor its full impact. Then proceed to this next one, penned by the editor of The Lancet, another elite and time-honored medical journal that publishes medical studies:
Richard Horton, editor-in-chief, The Lancet, in The Lancet, 11 April, 2015, Vol 385, “Offline: What is medicine’s 5 sigma?”
“The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness…
“The apparent endemicity of bad research behaviour is alarming. In their quest for telling a compelling story, scientists too often sculpt data to fit their preferred theory of the world. Or they retrofit hypotheses to fit their data. Journal editors deserve their fair share of criticism too. We aid and abet the worst behaviours. Our acquiescence to the impact factor fuels an unhealthy competition to win a place in a select few journals. Our love of ‘significance’ pollutes the literature with many a statistical fairy-tale…Journals are not the only miscreants. Universities are in a perpetual struggle for money and talent…”
Still standing? Here are several more statements. They are devastating.
The NY Review of Books (May 12, 2011), Helen Epstein, “Flu Warning: Beware the Drug Companies”:
“Six years ago, John Ioannidis, a professor of epidemiology at the University of Ioannina School of Medicine in Greece, found that nearly half of published articles in scientific journals contained findings that were false, in the sense that independent researchers couldn’t replicate them. The problem is particularly widespread in medical research, where peer-reviewed articles in medical journals can be crucial in influencing multimillion- and sometimes multibillion-dollar spending decisions. It would be surprising if conflicts of interest did not sometimes compromise editorial neutrality, and in the case of medical research, the sources of bias are obvious. Most medical journals receive half or more of their income from pharmaceutical company advertising and reprint orders, and dozens of others [journals] are owned by companies like Wolters Kluwer, a medical publisher that also provides marketing services to the pharmaceutical industry.”
Here’s another quote from the same article:
“The FDA also relies increasingly upon fees and other payments from the pharmaceutical companies whose products the agency is supposed to regulate. This could contribute to the growing number of scandals in which the dangers of widely prescribed drugs have been discovered too late. Last year, GlaxoSmithKline’s diabetes drug Avandia was linked to thousands of heart attacks, and earlier in the decade, the company’s antidepressant Paxil was discovered to exacerbate the risk of suicide in young people. Merck’s painkiller Vioxx was also linked to thousands of heart disease deaths. In each case, the scientific literature gave little hint of these dangers. The companies have agreed to pay settlements in class action lawsuits amounting to far less than the profits the drugs earned on the market. These precedents could be creating incentives for reduced vigilance concerning the side effects of prescription drugs in general.”
Also from the NY Review of Books, here are two more quotes from Marcia Angell, former editor-in-chief of The New England Journal of Medicine (“Drug Companies and Doctors: A Story of Corruption”):
“Consider the clinical trials by which drugs are tested in human subjects. Before a new drug can enter the market, its manufacturer must sponsor clinical trials to show the Food and Drug Administration that the drug is safe and effective, usually as compared with a placebo or dummy pill. The results of all the (there may be many) are submitted to the FDA, and if one or two trials are positive—that is, they show effectiveness without serious risk—the drug is usually approved, even if all the other trials are negative.”
Here is another Angell statement:
“In view of this control and the conflicts of interest that permeate the enterprise, it is not surprising that industry-sponsored [drug] trials published in medical journals consistently favor sponsors’ drugs—largely because negative results are not published, positive results are repeatedly published in slightly different forms, and a positive spin is put on even negative results. A review of seventy-four clinical trials of antidepressants, for example, found that thirty-seven of thirty-eight positive studies were published. But of the thirty-six negative studies, thirty-three were either not published or published in a form that conveyed a positive outcome.”

If you have the patience to read and re-read these statements, you’ll see they are marking out a scandal of scandals—the entirety of medical literature is a pipeline for deep fraud.
Citing with confidence a study on a drug, for example, would carry no more weight than an article about a celebrity in a gossip rag.
But medical reporters must pretend their sources are correct. It’s their job. If they reject published studies, they have nothing left—except to expose the giant scandal I’m outlining in this article. Biting the hand that feeds them would put them out of work. They’d end up writing about picnics for some local paper—if they were lucky.
However, that’s not my problem or yours. It’s theirs. They chose their profession.
We can settle on the truth. We can even spread it.

Not surprised… I worked for a biochemist years ago. Much of the studies were fudged all for the sake of funding… Very disturbing to me at the time.

So, if the drug industry isn’t already bad enough with their industry-funded safety studies, influence over the FDA, and the fact that 100,000+ American’s die every year from the *normal administration* of medical drugs, Trump intends to exacerbate the problem ????.
Well, for now, that is speculation. It was Obama who signed the “21st Century Cures Act” just before leaving office, which will fast track drugs onto the market, and it was Hillary Clinton who received the large donations from Big Pharma.

It’s not speculation…haven’t you been paying attention to the news lately? ????. Just a few days ago Trump met with some of the top Big Pharma CEOs to do little negotiating (imagine that). Trump wants them to lower drug prices and in return he would lower the regulatory process and appoint a new FDA director:

So, on this issue Trump wants Big Pharma to lower prices on drugs for the already addicted American people, loosen up the FDA approval process (which is already bad enough with the volume of industry-funded safety studies), and appoint a new FDA boss who will be obedient to him.

All should read the book Doctoring Data by Dr. Malcom Kendrick who shows how all the clinical studies funded by Big Pharma are bogus. He includes much of the same quotes as Jon and more. Big Pharma is a criminal racket that has killed millions yet no one went to jail. Sacrificing lives for profit in the industry’s business plan.
It’s not just about ‘omissions’, it’s about out right lies… designed to hide the TRUTH from people. We want to belief we live in a just and equal society, but this is not reality. We live in a PROFIT driven society.
The power structures have been ‘owned’ since their foundation to manage the ‘useless eaters’ of the world for the benefit of the so called elite (I call them the ‘powers that were’).
Let us take ‘cancer’ as an example…

I watched that video a few months ago.Good stuff.
Nothing will happen. The naive will get exited but the facts will be ignored and buried by the Medical Monopoly. Middle-aged fat bastard CEO’s simply will not allow it.
The good people will watch this video and see a great area of research that could save countless lives. There is also scientifically interesting. The drug company employees will simply see a competitor.
It’s really just about that simple, as far as I can tell.
They have been snuffing out competitors (effective therapies) for decades. George Lakhovsky and William Koch were the first ones to be attacked, as far as I can tell.
Hoxley put up a good fight.
Gonzalez was likely murdered, and Arnold Ehret was likely murdered as well.
Royal Rife’s treatment was suppressed and so was Max Gerson’s.
It has become a useless machine, where peoples savings are embezzled while they are being poisoned and irradiated with false hope. There is a famous study which shows that chemotherapy is 2% more effective than doing nothing at all.
But if you eat natural food, you can do better than that.
The only way they can retain there arrogantly paternalistic stance in the face of not being able to cure cancer and cardiovascular disease with 21st Century Biochemistry and Physics, is they simply pretend that it’s too enigmatic. They just throw their hands up in the air and say “It’s genetics”, or “it’s multifactorial”.

Cancer and cardiovascular disease are not too difficult to comprehend and can be reversed in most cases through raw veganism and fasting.

The attempt to fix the problem by force or by guile IS the problem in disguise – but while you WISH for the power to regain or be restored to power for YOU and take it from those who you believe are taking it from YOU – or fighting for the diminishing resource. You are accepting disconnection from Life and loss or lack of support as IF it is being done TO you.

Where EXACTLY is “here” – is it a world done to you within which to be the ‘Doer’ or is is a specific focus in consciousness through mutually reinforced definitions that limit, filter and distort the direct feeling and knowing of Existence? Habit – or autonomous routine – is set by persistent and repetitive choices. But we are not a creature of habit but a creator of choice in which habits can serve a useful purpose.
If one looks on the horror of the symptoms as causes – they sprout more symptoms – because that is the meaning assigned them. Fear of symptoms is fear denied, externalized and projected away as if to get rid of it and wall it out in belief one’s life depends on it! ALL else must be sacrificed to meet the emergency! Health is sought as absence and control of symptoms called ‘disease’ from a defended or threat-driven sense of self.
Any movement toward health as a balance within wholeness of being meets this ‘denial’ as an evil – because it is predicated on the definition of evil as the fear that must be hidden, cast out and stamped out. No matter how ‘effective’ the war – the fear never really left the mind that thinks it. Fear and division within rise up. A sense of control breaks down – ramps up the sacrifice to ‘defence’ of a fear grown insatiable and uncontrollable because the true creator of the nightmare sacrifices their energy and attention as identify in character.
The entanglement arises from the belief one must struggle to escape. Struggle is the conflicted blindness that set up the ‘trap’ and makes it real in belief. Giving up struggle seems like giving up life, power and all the investments in struggle by which to become an ‘Independent Authority’ – unknowingly usurping the true Authorship of your Source. And so releasing the coercive sense of fight is not fatalistic or passive or surrender – but an active desire of receptivity that yields to the true movement of your being – and it FEELS the recognition of You! – Unmistakeably and uniquely You!
Your mind may think it has its power back to run off and fight another round, make a better wall, show others your inspiration. But from the true vibration of the recognition of You – which resonates all of you as an honesty of being – is a perspective to watch the mind. Because when you can see insanity in act – you are no longer insane. You are the living Choice and don’t need to get power against or at expense of. You don’t need to get from anyone else and now you are not in the range to be Gotten from.
You’re waiting for how this solves the problem of life in the world?
The point of recognition, connection, willing choice, that is characterized by enlivening, joy, inspiration a true sense of happy purpose and peace of your own being – is your response-ability and if the mind ‘hijacks’ your awareness it is not a guilt or blame call – but a call to look at the active definitions and beliefs, so as to refresh or align in freedom of being.
This is the uncovering of the ‘more of who You are and what Everything is’ as a journey of your own acceptance and understanding. Creativity is not problem solving – but it is the uncovering of perspective in which everything is seen in new light and the problems either do not exist there or are resolved to a practical and relational responsibility – step by step.
You cant say “the problem is not real” – at the level of the belief and experience of the problem – so that reality-belief has to be honoured because You made it – but has to be NOT joined with at the creative level. Self honesty cant be by-passed with good intentions forcibly imposed as if to make you good and deserving of health – or any other saving grace. You are already worthy – but out of the feeling of the experience of the being of You it doesn’t feel Good – and blame and fear persist the dissonance as if opening a new kind of power.
So in a sense you can forcibly short-circuit native awareness of being in a forced intention as a sense of self separation – and grow a consciousness in the dark – so to speak – whose self-consciousness inhibits and fragments and limits to ‘control’…. until the tide turns – and the structural ‘integrity’ of the illusion, disintegrates, dissolves, fades to what seems a ‘rising’ awareness within which to re-align, rebalance and re- dedicate as the re-opening of channels of communication within being that are you.
What is implicit here is that ideas don’t do it – living from who you are uncovered to be is in a sense allowing to be done through – like a dancer, a singer, and artist. You don’t want to be independent at odds and isolated from Life – and your uniqueness is NOT threatened by that of others – and in acceptance of yourself – you get past the personality mask – and so you can appreciate people and the world from an undemanding sense of discovery – as you are moved.

Galactic and micro cellular influence don’t weigh in much in the arena of conflicting narrative identities. The informational nature of energy exchange is hardly recognized. Perhaps you sense our Sun is not just a radiant light bulb.
Billiard ball physics reflects billiard ball mind – of the force upon bodies as the universe of reactive result. This assertion of separate actions and reactions suits the mind of the actor in role of hero and indeed the allopathic approach was called the heroic interventionist approach when empiric medicine was what was found or believed to help the body heal itself.
The idea of malign influence from without is the idea of applying a like poison or a knife or the withdrawal of life function to the ‘evil’ symptoms – as a kind of witchhunt where poisoning the patient to eliminate the disease is simply collateral damage, and has grown to become a kind of inquisition where ‘medical’ sentence can be laid as a charge against the life of the being where life itself is redefined as a syndrome to medicalize and toxify, and the life itself sacrificed to illusions of protection that themselves toxify and thus rob us of life.
Abundance of Life energy flow is the condition in which disease does not develop – so disease begins with the idea of denial and deprivation as a result of an outcome of self-conflict in which guilt and fear lock a dissociated personality complex in a struggle to regain or maintain an assertion of wholeness. The very assertion re-states the sense of lack. The past repeats itself.
Life energy thus becomes a source of fear and threat to the survival of a sense of self-lack in struggle – excepting it can be ‘harnessed’ to a pre-set agenda of power and protection.
The Sun is a radiant source of life and health – but notice the demonisation of all that is healthful in the mind of reversal. Relationship is a balanced communication – not a resource to control and plunder. Our relationship with the Sun is literal and symbolic. Receiving energy is not ‘getting’ but transformational exchange – that is to say it moves through you to create within a larger dance of relationship.

It is sometimes not enough to chip away at the lies, but one must reject the narrative wholesale. The Pasteurization scam has progressed from destroying milk to killing fruit juices here in Canada. They are ‘safely’ ( cough, cough ) inert…and also free of nutritive value.
