Find your moment: something I said during a conference lecture

Two years ago, at a lecture in California, I veered off into a subject I often address: the audience.

I began talking about the people in the hall, to the people in the hall.

I said: “I’m selling you to you.”

Because you are the point. The whole point.

This is especially so when you run full-speed into a moment, a moment when you know what you want to do—and you want to do it with all your energy.

That’s a threshold. That’s a line. Cross it and you’ll never be the same.

This isn’t a moment that prints an ironclad guarantee of smooth passage for the next 20 years, or a brand of conventional success. This is a moment that allows you to see and feel your present and future in the way you see and feel during a dream at night, when you leave the ground and fly.

It’s that moment.

What you’ve thought and considered in the past makes no difference. It no longer has a hold on you.

The gravitational pull of ordinary things is gone.

Standing at your window at 3 in the morning and looking out at the world, you’re in the moment when you’ve just answered the question, “What do I want to create?”

Your blood is alive, your endocrine output is rising, your mind is on full alert, and your imagination is soaring.

No one and nothing outside yourself is making the moment. This is you being you to you.

You decide.

You cross the threshold. You launch the adventure.

Suddenly, a host of nagging problems is dissolving. You’re out ahead of them, on a frontier where every meteor in a cascade of meteors is a new possibility.

Everyone, in his life, has at least one of these moments.

Exit From the Matrix

You’re experiencing the arrival of a symphony in a landscape that, was, previously, one note repeated over and over.

Everything in this world seems to have been built to accommodate you letting the moment go by and returning, halfheartedly, to the structure within which you were operating.

But you know more, now. You know much more.

What you know isn’t based on information.

It’s based on insight that has no dialectic or pattern.

It’s your moment.

No one can take it, or erase it.

Except you.

Is it another postponement? Or the grand beginning?

When you speak of these moments of imagination breaking through to and creating new worlds; are you hinting at parallel realities (that we create) and jumping timelines?

What a great piece, thanks. I’ve had many of those moments and always looking forward to more, always ..

  3. Jon, as I feel you are aware, there is a misconception that the elites and their political salesmen bumble along incoherently with a lot of outcomes “happening by accident”. You have highlighted this is not so on a number of occasions. But there’s something else too. There is this sense of timing and I believe the reason the superstitious are sentimentally rewarded by numerological validations is this allows the “machine” flexible creativity (on the lines of what you are saying here) whilst retaining the control by calendar. Here’s an excerpt from my latest Ozzie Thinker articles (https://ozziethinker.wordpress.com/2016/07/25/israel-zionist-ambition-isis-and-us-affiliated-connections-part-four/) that emphasises the fact:

“I refuse to be drawn into the ongoing prolific fantasy and, therefore, have found merit in forging a detailed historic profile rather than emphasising individual stunts, such as the latest embarrassing attack in France. After Joseph Stalin’s “the end justifies the means”, reasons for specific events and timings are in some ways incidental, in my opinion. Strategic “positioning” is not. Thus, those that find all sorts of strange devilish symbols, numeric links hinting at intrigue in the form of some kind of sinister masonic conspiracy may well be correct in their opinions. Let’s face it, without specific calendar markers, the schedule would be pretty damned shoddy to non-existent. When shall we meet and where? How about on Wednesday, planet Earth? I believe preconceived dates trigger action “countdowns”.

In addition heritage or prosperity is very important to the mischievous fiends. Not only do they like to brag about their satanic deeds superfluously in the mainstream Medias, but they also insist official history gloats along with them in a rabid attempt at making them appear posthumously immortal. That is why corporations (dead men’s orders) rule by rote and have all the rights in the living world. In prognosis, it is not merely the symmetry of dates that can be explained predictably and rationally. What better way to coordinate parties unknown to each other than by creating a numerological catalogue only privy to secret societies’ vouchsafe members?

Of course there would need to be lots of dates, plenty of opportunities to strike because humans make mistakes. Hallowed plans often don’t come to fruition, so we can assume most of the dates are used as contingencies. Remember, in this case, our arrogant shadowy controllers are predictable buffoons. How many attempts at so-called “911” went by unnoticed? The mainstreamers would hardly offer pomp and circumstance over failings they would rather forget. Even so, analysis of the 911 incident reveals a monumental marketing disaster and irresponsible blow against commerce. It did not go to plan, but this game will plod on relentlessly until the people, in their masses, rise up. David Icke has made many errors, but as an instigator of valour he poses many exciting possibilities for those prepared to act on his wisdom.

Players in the game must have been groomed to have the license to capitulate; otherwise the status quo would have collapsed prior to the “globalist” Greeks. Does the great British soccer team, Arsenal, arbitrarily stick an unbiased globe with a sharp pin as basis for European Cup selection matches? Under those contrived conditions, we might see professional players pitched against humble patrons and staff of the Banana Bar & Club, Suva, Fiji, for instance. No, that would reduce world class football to pointlessness, nihilism. So why would anyone theorise international politics bumbles along aimlessly in chaotic fashion, each strategy step (if there were any) accidental and not debated in minute detail by those with holistic interests at stake, whether outcomes ultimately reflect considerations or not? Of course everything is planned infinitesimally. What’s more, good guys and bad guys are scripted players of the exact same fantasy.”

I believe the “I’m selling you to you” speech was the Secret Space Program speech. I love that speech it’s on YouTube, one of my favorites.

I recently had one of those threshold moments. In fact I am in it right now.

My parents are in the process of retiring to their new home about an hour north of my childhood home where they still live now. We were broke when we moved in in 1984 and we still have most of it left. The house is now paid for but in horrendous condition. A 1907 bungalow that basically looks like crap and a basement so full of junk you can’t even move.

To make a long story short, I left my wife, quit my job and moved in to this price of crap with a plan to fix it up and make it a profitable rental for my parents right now since all they have is social security. Some day I want to buy it, but if I don’t fix it now they will sell it for half its real value as-is.

Well that was eight weeks ago and I have been working 12-14 hours a day 7 days a week on this place. Not one day off. I feel like I am on another planet and have never been so passionate, borderline insane, and focused in my life.

My wife is filing for divorce but I barely care. I can’t explain it but working on this house is the most important thing I have ever done. Not sure where any of this is going, but I am going to bed now at almost midnight, and I have my alarm set for 5 am so I can get to the hardware store the second the doors open. I’ve got a staircase I need to fix.

      Action Purifies Thought, APT.
You are doing something to make good a place that you grew up in, and helping your parents.
Sad reflection of the the divisive way our society acts, when divorce seems to be the only way some folk can react/solve problems.
Try to resolve as many matters as you can outside of court, will give less to the worms of the legal system, and really at the end of the day,it leaves both your wife and you with more dignity and more cash between you, rather than the Bar representatives….
      Hold that thought.

To my Mind, (where else can I experience things?)
What Jon may be talking about here, is those occasions that you ‘enter the moment/get in the flow of things’ and growth occurs. It has happened to me while weight training, Riding a motorcycle on an open road, getting into an exam question and the formulae and process required to get the answers, just come out of the pen….and onto the paper. I have limited experience in artwork, although over 6 years as an accomplished Design Draughtsman, both on the ‘board’ as well as autocad, cadam, draft sight and lately the challenge of Solidworks, to produce components, assemblies etc. The outside world drops away and you are, as such in the zone, and only that which fills your mind, exists. its like going downhill on a mountain bike, yet not moving. even time seems to slow right down. any one else experienced this?

OT, today you have earned another T, to your name.
as in Over The Top. (as in Gone too Far, in extrapolation and taking the piss via obtuse generalisations)
In 2003, I was Second Engineer on the Cable Ship Wave Venture, you know, we laid Fibre Optic Systems, as utilised for worldwide data transmissions. the vessel, owned by Global Marine Systems Ltd. was on standby, off Clifford Pier. This meant, we were at anchor, and once a week the Crew would play Rugby in town…
The Crew were Fijian. Due to world politics overwhelming sports….Our ships crew Rugby team, who had been training with the Singaporean Rugby 7 team, over the previous couple of just happened to fall into the slot left by the ostracism of the Koreans, (north or south? I am not aware of.) Anyhow those Fine Fijians of whom you ridicule in your allusions above as ‘banana bar’, were invited to play in the place left by the Koreans. The Humble (look it up, for I doubt you have much experience of that word, having read many of your sadly vitriolic responses as to people who won’t buy your book) Fijian Men, with whom I worked, got to the semi-finals. They were not sponsored Professional Players, But they had the pride and overall Commitment to make it to that place, regardless of numerology. pull your head in mate.
I wish you well, and in general, enjoy reading your spin on things.
Rant off, Closing with peace. Bod
You enabled my response by the perceived derision of my Fijian Friends.
Early 2007, I was Chief Engineer on AHTS Seabear, a KMAR 404, and had the pleasure of towing a large barge up the Congo River, the northern bank of which was called the Banana Republic on our Sea Charts, I found the populace to be more genuine and friendly, which l find Ironic, given your spurious choice of words to designate/denigrate a certain peoples behaviour?
    Bye, Mate.
