Why Vaxxed was shot down at Tribeca—up close and personal

Why was Vaxxed shut down?

The answer? Jane Rosenthal and her (ex) husband, Craig Hatkoff.

That’s my opinion, my story, and I’m sticking to it.

Yes, there were other pressures on Robert De Niro. I know all about them. But Jane Rosenthal and her husband Craig are very, very tight with De Niro.

How tight?

From Crain’s New York Business 2007: “Jane Rosenthal is the business brains behind the wheel of New York’s most famous taxi driver: Robert De Niro. The duo, who founded Tribeca Productions in 1989, has produced 22 movies.

“Perhaps Ms. Rosenthal’s most important contribution to the city, however, came in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks. She and Mr. De Niro, along with Ms. Rosenthal’s husband, real estate financier Craig Hatkoff, launched the Tribeca Film Festival to help revive downtown.”

Getting the picture?

Now, moving along: Jane Rosenthal’s husband, Craig Hatkoff, sits on the board of the NYU Child Study Center in New York—and that major, major Center is deeply involved in the research, study, and treatment of child psychiatric disorders. In case you’ve forgotten, autism is officially listed as a psychiatric disorder.

The NYU Center would never, ever, in a million years imagine that vaccines could cause autism. If they did imagine it, they’d shut up and march straight ahead with their brain imaging studies and other mainstream distractions.

The NYU Child Study Center is surrounded by important names. Among past Center honorees: Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg; Governor George E. Pataki; Whoopi Goldberg; Former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani; Senator Hillary Clinton.

Among the attendees at a 2008 Center awards dinner, which raised $8.8 million, and was hosted by CBS News anchor Katie Couric: New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine; real estate mogul Larry Silverstein; and of course, the Tribeca founders, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff.

The Rosenthal-Hatkoff duo have been on the scene at a number of Center fundraisers and awards dinners. They’re active. They’re visible. They’re players.

Here is a statement from the NYU Child Center’s website: “At the Child Study Center, the Center for Neurodevelopmental Disorders (CND) is committed to research in neurodevelopmental disorders, leveraging establish[ed] strengths in Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and animal studies on early development, as well as collaborating closely with our clinical partners.”

The Center has an Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinical and Research Program, where it carries out orthodox and “cutting edge” work on autism.

And the Center is expanding. This is a big-time operation:

“The NYU Child Study Center has three main affiliates: the Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research (NKI), Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center (RCPC), and Bellevue Hospital Center.

“Through collaborative efforts, these organizations work with the NYU Child Study Center to integrate the highest level of clinical care, ground-breaking research, and training for the next generation of leaders in child and adolescent mental health. In addition, the diverse locations open the doors to treatment for families in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Counties; as well as throughout New York City.

“With the partnerships among these world-class institutions, we are establishing a new multidisciplinary model for advancing the prevention, identification and treatment of child psychiatric disorders on a national scale.”

A film that claims to show a link between the MMR vaccine and autism would be a hideous affront to the NYU Child Study Center, where Craig Hatkoff, co-founder of the Tribeca Film Festival, sits on the Board.

A plan to actually show Vaxxed at the Tribeca Festival, which Hatkoff and Rosenthal co-founded, would be a blow to the face of the NYU Center.

New York, like other big cities, operates across a level of wealth and influence that relies on social connections. Heavy connections.

In New York, money, real estate, Wall Street, politics, the arts, the medical hierarchy are all joined socially. At the hip.

Jane Rosenthal and her husband, Hatkoff, are definitely part of that mix. There was no way Rosenthal was going to let that film on the screen at Tribeca. It would have mangled many of her social relationships.

Then there is this: The NYU Child Study Center depends on a great deal of funding from the National Institute for Mental Health (NIMH).

So it could have gone this way. A player at NIMH calls the NYU Center; “I understand the Tribeca film Festival is going to show an insane film about vaccines causing autism. Craig Hatkoff, Jane Rosenthal’s husband, sits on your Board. Talk to the man. Straighten him out. Get him to come to his senses. What’s next? Is Tribeca going to sponsor a positive film about gun-toting militias taking over three Western states?”

That’s the way things happen.

Meanwhile, the CDC and the Sloan Foundation were making their pitches to shut down the film, but there is a strong probability those efforts were passing through Hatkoff or Rosenthal, too, because they’re very close to De Niro, and he was the one who needed to be convinced.

Have a look at this recent FOX 5 NY interview, where De Niro and Rosenthal sit side by side. She looks for all the world like a “minder,” as the British would say. A gatekeeper. A worried monitor, keeping tabs on De Niro. He mentions that he still thinks the film should be shown, but not at Tribeca. She makes sure to emphasize that the film is not going to be shown at Tribeca, in case anyone has misinterpreted De Niro’s remarks.

She looks exhausted, as if she’s had some sleepless nights, as if she’s thinking: “How many of my New York friends do I have to apologize to before this is over? I can’t blame Bob, he’s my friend and partner, so I just shrug and say, ‘Thank goodness we’re moving on.’ But will they look at me the same way after this disaster? Will things be the same? I never wanted to accept that goddamn film in the first place. I told Bob it was a mistake. And the people at the NYU Center. What am I supposed to do about them?”

The lesson for De Niro? Don’t mess with New York money.

Don’t try to stop the New York medical juggernaut.

Against this force, he was a bit player in a hurricane.

For a minute, he stood up for the film, and because he was famous, he almost landed a leading role in a production called, Exposing the Truth about Vaccines Causing Autism. But the project was quickly squashed.

It took an independent theater chain in the city, the Angelika, to step up to the plate and screen Vaxxed (trailer). However, the Angelika doesn’t have a thousandth of the clout of the Tribeca Film Festival.

The upside? Jane Rosenthal and her husband, Craig Hatkoff, don’t sit on Angelika’s Board.

When I try imagine what it would be like for an artist to go up against a corrupt arts system. I have to a point, but not like what Deniro must be facing.

It is all controlled the, the illusion factory. The greater galleries, music industry, especially film, and books.
The internet has opened new possiblilities for censored artists; but now is closing up as well. Inventing film festivals to circumvent the industry, has resulted in a compromise. A detente, between opposites.

Personally I have looked at what I would/should/could paint, after the digestion of current events. An artist is left with something boiled down that represents the matrixed world he lives in…

Artists of the past have tackled this problem, of being true to oneself.
The great Goya and his etchings of the 5th of May, cost him dearly, Damauier and the corrupt law system of France and the dire poverty of the underclass, threatened his very life.

The propaganda of one is a voyage of fear and loathing, an artist must fine the courage to face himself directly and not be afraid of the truth that he finds within himself.
Art exposes the coward within him so quickly, the neccesity to compromise with it; that truth and prettyed up for consumption conclusion to the wrestling match, is, another kind of brainwashing.

An artist can get lost in his own bullshit. An artist has to paint like it is his last day on earth alive.
Otherwise the subject/object conflict, the need for attention, the showing off what one capable of making, and a growling belly will put him under.
Fame is the kiss of death for the real artist.

One becomes monk like in a sense, art becomes a religion, something to believe in, something to quell the existentialism of the nihilist. The home for the non-believer the heretic.

I feel sad for artists like De Niro, who have to make a choice, between destruction and truth on one hand, and the admiration of those who care for you as a greater contemporary artist.

Francis Farmer they destroyed, Michael Jackson, Billy Holiday the long list of rock and roll suicides and assasinations.
There are many examples out there, to shut the artist up…close him down and disempower what is potent in him.
In the end if he is not careful, he becomes an embarrassment to himself, a caricuture of what he could have been. He plays the part of himself, in his own life.

“The worst evil is – and that’s the product of censorship – is the self-censorship, because that twists spines, that destroys my character because I have to think something else and say something else, I have to always control myself.” – Milos Forman

      Wonderfully expressed.
I would just add the “NYC Child Study Center” seems comprised of folks who have made the Faustian pact…literally. Anyone who believes Larry Silverstein is truly a philanthropist needs to take another look at 9/11.

      • CPP says:

        Yeah, Silverstein, something like this…

I remember getting a call from the, er, NYU Child Study Center, telling me that they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, “We’ve had such a terrible loss of credibility, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.” And they made that decision to pull and we watched the film disappear.

      • Ab Irato says:

…Bobby D says “decided to pull it” in the same way Lucky Larry says it in his 9/11 clip. Coincidence?

    • Traci says:

WE must remember everyone has a choice. there are no victims, but there is victim consciousness. “they” have no power over anyone, but because we are immersed into this nanny/police state in which our parents are our first cruel authority figures, we believe it is true. its all black magic and humans are black magicians putting curses on each other, as Don Miguel Ruiz writes in the Four Agreements. “Who decides” is a giant mountain we must all chip away at every day to get back to the inner power within.

I always think about the movie labyrinth when it comes to this whole illusion of control and love the last part when she confronts Jareth and realizes he has no power over her. the greatest secret and key to freedom is to truly know this and embody this and practice this.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmgmXgoBZFo

This world is just a dream, we are actors and actresses in a grand play of duality. therefore the whole victim/perpetrator is a common theme. we can choose (c) which is none of the above, and be in this world, but not of it. Choice is imperative, and humans are giving away their ability to choose at an alarming rate. Hence the whole zombie and AI scenario that is popular with many who are afraid to be real. It is not easy to be authentic in this world and be able to dream, create and live an impeccable life, but its worth the effort.

We must not feel sorry for those who are zombies, its their choice and their experience, no one is “doing” these things to the masses, they have given their consent in various ways. The ability to say no is very important and its not a coincidence “disobedience” is the greatest punishable offense. Jon is right, imagination is priceless and something the zombies and their masters despise.

Robert DeNiro totally betrayed his child in making his choice and he will have to live with this decision. Knowing what he has done will continue to eat at him and i would not wish such pain on anyone.

      • Cinda Ratzlaff Nichols says:

Maybe I am wrong, but it is my contention that Robert De Niro knew exactly what he was doing by allowing VAXXED to be pulled at the last minute. He knew complicit insiders, big-pharma and the CDC would rear their ugly heads and do whatever they could to stop the documentary’s continued viewing. So he beat them at their own game. It worked beautifully! More people will view it now than had it been shown at the Tribeca Film Festival. If De Niro did not plan to do this then the angels are looking down and God gave his nod to Andy Wakefield and Del Bigtree as a reward for all of their dedication and hard work exposing the truth.

Wow wow wow. Watch the clip without the sound. The body language says it all. It’s kind of horrifying,

    • Amanda says:

Oh my gosh, you’re so right about that clip. Poor thing, she looks absolutely beat down, so tired and…. Oh wait, wait a minute.. what is that around her neck? It looks like a dog chain. It is. It’s a chain. It appears that she’s broken free from her owner’s control! Oh wait, no she appears to still be following commands.. Oh that’s a good girl..what a good little puppy.. Ooh a biscuit for you!

  3. From Québec says:

President Trump would show the Vaxxed movie wide world.
He”s been talking about the relation between vaccines and autism. since 2014.

  4. Carolyn says:

Clip won’t load in my computer. Seems stalled. Funny how the truth will out — even trained people have a hard time controlling their body language to lie like their tongues do in intense situations. Wish I could watch hers.

  5. un says:

How can you still support D. Trump, a New York creature, knowing the business atmosphere there is completely contaminated and that everything there is “joined at the hip” ? If that’s so, clearly Trump is also a creature of the system, right ?

  7. handel says:

Guardian has a real shoddy review of the movie. Basically saying the movie´s bad because it´s boring, has a bad camera perspective and is a, quote, conspiracy theory.

  8. You dont have to watch the movie, just examine the inserts for the ingredients then ask your stupid selves, would you inject this voluntarily into your children ?

  9. Vaccines are a weapon […] to keep the [children] down and kill them. They cant ever admit it, because its genocide and they will be torn limb from limb. The sooner the better !!!

  11. Zoey O'Toole says:

The NYU Child Study Center IS big business. My daughter had a neuropsych evaluation completed there. When I brought up chelation and mercury (at the time we were following a low-dose chelation protocol), the psychologist doing the evaluation made a face and said “They took the mercury out of the shots long ago.” I told her, “My daughter was born in 1999. They removed the mercury from MOST of the shots AFTER my daughter got full doses.” Not allowed to question vaccines there, indeed.

  12. VAXXED: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe is now the No. 1 most censored film of 2016 and has been dubbed, “The movie they don’t want you to see.”
