A whole branch of science turns out to be fake

“The ‘Reality Manufacturing Company’ not only turns out the past, present, and future for mass consumption. It explains why things are the way they are. It appoints itself the master of attributing causes, the king of cause and effect.” (The Underground, Jon Rappoport)

Devotees of science often assume that what is called science is real and true. It must be. Otherwise, their faith is broken. Their superficial understanding is shattered. Their “superior view” of the world is torpedoed.

Such people choose unofficial “anti-science” targets to attack. They never think of inspecting their own house for enormous fraud.

For example: psychiatry.

An open secret has been slowly bleeding out into public consciousness for the past ten years.

THERE ARE NO DEFINITIVE LABORATORY TESTS FOR ANY SO-CALLED MENTAL DISORDER.

And along with that:

ALL SO-CALLED MENTAL DISORDERS ARE CONCOCTED, NAMED, LABELED, DESCRIBED, AND CATEGORIZED by a committee of psychiatrists, from menus of human behaviors.

Their findings are published in periodically updated editions of The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), printed by the American Psychiatric Association.

For years, even psychiatrists have been blowing the whistle on this hazy crazy process of “research.”

Of course, pharmaceutical companies, who manufacture highly toxic drugs to treat every one of these “disorders,” are leading the charge to invent more and more mental-health categories, so they can sell more drugs and make more money.

But we have a mind-boggling twist. Under the radar, one of the great psychiatric stars, who has been out in front in inventing mental disorders, went public. He blew the whistle on himself and his colleagues. And for several years, almost no one noticed.

His name is Dr. Allen Frances, and he made VERY interesting statements to Gary Greenberg, author of a Wired article: “Inside the Battle to Define Mental Illness.” (Dec.27, 2010).

Major media never picked up on the interview in any serious way. It never became a scandal.

Dr. Allen Frances is the man who, in 1994, headed up the project to write the latest edition of the psychiatric bible, the DSM-IV. This tome defines and labels and describes every official mental disorder. The DSM-IV eventually listed 297 of them.

In an April 19, 1994, New York Times piece, “Scientist At Work,” Daniel Goleman called Frances “Perhaps the most powerful psychiatrist in America at the moment…”

Well, sure. If you’re sculpting the entire canon of diagnosable mental disorders for your colleagues, for insurers, for the government, for Pharma (who will sell the drugs matched up to the 297 DSM-IV diagnoses), you’re right up there in the pantheon.

Long after the DSM-IV had been put into print, Dr. Frances talked to Wired’s Greenberg and said the following:

“There is no definition of a mental disorder. It’s bullshit. I mean, you just can’t define it.”

BANG.

That’s on the order of the designer of the Hindenburg, looking at the burned rubble on the ground, remarking, “Well, I knew there would be a problem.”

After a suitable pause, Dr. Frances remarked to Greenberg, “These concepts [of distinct mental disorders] are virtually impossible to define precisely with bright lines at the borders.”

Frances should have mentioned the fact that his baby, the DSM-IV, had unscientifically rearranged earlier definitions of ADHD and Bipolar to permit many MORE diagnoses, leading to a vast acceleration of drug-dosing with highly powerful and toxic compounds.

Finally, at the end of the Wired interview, Frances flew off into a bizarre fantasy:

“Diagnosis [as spelled out in the DSM-IV] is part of the magic…you know those medieval maps? In the places where they didn’t know what was going on, they wrote ‘Dragons live here’…we have a dragon’s world here. But you wouldn’t want to be without the map.”

Translation: Patients need hope for the healing of their troubles; so even if we psychiatrists are shooting blanks and pretending to know one kind of mental disorder from another, even if we’re inventing these mental-disorder definitions based on no biological or chemical diagnostic tests—it’s a good thing, because patients will then believe and have hope; they’ll have hope because psychiatrists place a label on their problems…

Needless to say, this has nothing to do with science.

The Matrix Revealed

Here is a smoking-gun statement made by another prominent mental-health expert, on an episode of PBS’ Frontline series. The episode was: “Does ADHD Exist?”

PBS FRONTLINE INTERVIEWER: Skeptics say that there’s no biological marker—that it [ADHD] is the one condition out there where there is no blood test, and that no one knows what causes it.

BARKLEY (Dr. Russell Barkley, clinical professor of psychiatry and pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston): That’s tremendously naïve, and it shows a great deal of illiteracy about science and about the mental health professions. A disorder doesn’t have to have a blood test to be valid. If that were the case, all mental disorders would be invalid… There is no lab test for any mental disorder right now in our science. That doesn’t make them invalid. [Emphasis added]

Without intending to, Dr. Barkley blows an ear-shattering whistle on his own profession.

So let’s take Dr. Barkley to school. Medical science, and disease-research in particular, rests on the notion that you can make a diagnosis backed up by lab tests. If you can’t produce lab tests, you’re spinning fantasies.

These fantasies might be hopeful, they might be “educated guesses,” they might be launched from traditional centers of learning, they might be backed up by billions of dollars of grant money…but they’re still fantasies.

Dr. Barkley is essentially saying, “There is no lab test for any mental disorder. If a test were the standard of proof, we wouldn’t have science at all, and that would mean our whole profession rests on nothing—and that is unthinkable, so therefore a test doesn’t matter.”

That logic is no logic at all. That science is no science at all. Barkley is proving the case against himself. He just doesn’t want to admit it.

Psychiatry is all fraud all the time. Without much of a stretch, you could say psychiatry has been the most widespread profiling operation in the history of the human race. Its goal has been to bring humans everywhere into its system. It hardly matters which label a person is painted with, as long as it adds up to a diagnosis and a prescription of drugs.

300 so-called mental disorders caused by…what? No lab evidence. No diagnostic tests. No blood tests, saliva tests, brain scans, genetic assays. No nothing.

But psychiatrists continue to assert they are the masters of causation. They know what’s behind “mental disorders.” They’re in charge.

What about the generalized “chemical imbalance” hypothesis stating that all mental disorders stem from such imbalances in the brain?

Dr. Ronald Pies, the editor-in-chief emeritus of the Psychiatric Times, laid that hypothesis to rest in the July 11, 2011, issue of the Times (“Psychiatry’s New Brain-Mind and the Legend of the ‘Chemical Imbalance’”) with this staggering admission:

“In truth, the ‘chemical imbalance’ notion was always a kind of urban legend — never a theory seriously propounded by well-informed psychiatrists.”

Boom.

Dead.

power outside the matrix

The point is, for decades the whole basis of psychiatric drug research, drug prescription, and drug sales has been: “we’re correcting a chemical imbalance in the brain.”

The problem was, researchers had never established a normal baseline for chemical balance. So they were shooting in the dark. Worse, they were faking a theory. Pretending they knew something when they didn’t.

In his 2011 piece in Psychiatric Times, Dr. Pies tries to protect his colleagues in the psychiatric profession with this fatuous remark:

“In the past 30 years, I don’t believe I have ever heard a knowledgeable, well-trained psychiatrist make such a preposterous claim [about chemical imbalance in the brain], except perhaps to mock it…the ‘chemical imbalance’ image has been vigorously promoted by some pharmaceutical companies, often to the detriment of our patients’ understanding.”

Absurd. First of all, many psychiatrists have explained and do explain to their patients that the drugs are there to correct a chemical imbalance.

And second, if all well-trained psychiatrists have known, all along, that the chemical-imbalance theory is a fraud…

…then why on earth have they been prescribing tons of drugs to their patients…

…since those drugs are developed on the false premise that they correct an imbalance?

The honchos of psychiatry are seeing the handwriting on the wall. Their game has been exposed.

The chemical imbalance theory is a fake. There are no defining physical tests for any of the 300 so-called mental disorders. All diagnoses are based on arbitrary clusters or menus of human behavior. The drugs are harmful, dangerous, toxic. Some of them induce violence. Suicide, homicide. Some of the drugs cause brain damage.

So the shrinks have to move into another model of “mental illness,” another con, another fraud. And they’re looking for one.

For example, genes plus “psycho-social factors” cause mental disorders. A mish-mash of more unproven science.

“New breakthrough research on the functioning of the brain is paying dividends and holds great promise…” Professional PR and gibberish.

Meanwhile, the business model demands drugs for sale.

So even though the chemical-imbalance nonsense has been discredited, it will continue on as a dead man walking, a zombie.

Two questions always pop up when I write a critique of psychiatry. The first one is: psychiatric researchers are doing a massive amount of work studying brain function. They do have tests.

Yes, experimental tests. But NONE of those tests are contained in the DSM, the psychiatric bible, as the basis of the definition of ANY mental disorder. If the tests were conclusive, they would be heralded in the DSM. They aren’t.

The second question is: if all these mental disorders are fiction, why are so many people saddled with problems? Why are some people off the rails? Why are they crazy?

The list of potential answers is very long. A real practitioner would focus on one patient at a time and try to discover what has affected him to such a marked degree. For example:

Severe nutritional deficiency. Toxic dyes and colors in processed food. Ingestion of pesticides and herbicides. Profound sensitivities to certain foods. The ingestion of toxic pharmaceuticals. Life-altering damage as a result of vaccines. Exposure to environmental chemicals. Heavy physical and emotional abuse in the home or at school. Battlefield stress and trauma (also present in certain neighborhoods). Prior head injury. Chronic infection. Alcohol and street drugs. Debilitating poverty.

Other items could be added.

Psychiatry is: fake, fraud, pseudoscience from top to bottom. It’s complete fiction dressed up as fact.

But the obsessed devotees of science tend to back away from this. They close their eyes. If a “branch of knowledge” as extensive as psychiatry is nothing more than an organized delusion, what other aspect of science might likewise be parading as truth, when it is actually mere paper blowing in the wind?

  1. Great article! Thank you for posting this.

I’ve recently read that they are linking mental health issues, or mood disorders, to inflammation in the body. That might make some sense since we are filling our bodies with chemicals. Not sure how I feel about that though.

On another side of the page, I’ve read some interesting theories from a shaman, Malidoma Patrice Somé, about how the western world views “mental illness” versus what his beliefs are and experience as a shaman reveal. If you haven’t read it and are interested, here is a link.

Such a questioning of science opens a can o’ worms that threatens the whole emerging technocracy which is of course based on the infallibility of the scientific method. Hmmm, if I recall correctly, the last institution that claimed “infallibility” abused it’s power to the detriment of all concerned, except the “infallible ones” themselves. ALL systems of control that are only “self accountable” are incredibly injurious on all levels to the “controlees”.

Actually, it would be nice if scientific method had anything to do with these drugs. Ref: “Blame it on the Brain,” Valenstein (shows it’s been going on since the 70’s), and the newer by Whitaker et al., “Psychiatry Under the Influence”

All these “classifications” of “mental health disability” are nothing more than a back door attempt by the govt to eviscerate our God-given rights to defend ourselves thru the use

It is also used to “calm down” rambunctious children/children who are the mavericks of tomorrow/but we/they will never achieve this because the kids were chemically lobotomized
at an early age. as to the chemical poisons we eat/ingest/drink……look at your govt for this

WAKE UP PEOPLE, THE GOVT IS HERE TO KILL YOU.

  2. Don’t get me started Jon, lol….No truer words have ever been spoken, basically, they prey on emotion, on those who seek love, a sad lot they are, how they sleep at night, I wonder, most concerning is the fact that in many places, they head the medical board. As they do here in Maui.
Strange birds of filthy feathers. Ive watched them destroy good men, I despise them.
Hell must hold a special place for them.

It is new in the since it is contemporary and I won’t attempt a description here, leave it to others if they would like to investigate.

    2 things:
    1) There was a recent New York Times Op-ed article [http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/18/opinion/sunday/t-m-luhrmann-redefining-mental-illness.html ] [Sunday, Jan. 17, 2015, in the “Week in Review” section], essay titled “Redefining Mental Illness”. It reported upon the following Major news:
“In 2013, the institute’s [National Institute of Mental Health (part of NIH)] director, Thomas R. Insel, announced that psychiatric science had failed to find unique biological mechanisms associated with specific diagnoses. What genetic underpinnings or neural circuits they had identified were mostly common across diagnostic groups. Diagnoses were neither particularly useful nor accurate for understanding the brain, and would no longer be used to guide research.
And so the institute has begun one of the most interesting and radical experiments in scientific research in years. It jettisoned a decades-long tradition of diagnosis-driven research, in which a scientist became, for example, a schizophrenia researcher. Under a program called Research Domain Criteria, all research must begin from a matrix of neuroscientific structures (genes, cells, circuits) that cut across behavioral, cognitive and social domains (acute fear, loss, arousal). To use an example from the program’s website, psychiatric researchers will no longer study people with anxiety; they will study fear circuitry.”

    2) I believe that your statement:
“many psychiatrists have explained and do explain to their patients that the drugs are there to correct a chemical imbalance. …The chemical imbalance theory is a fake.”; is not exactly true.
The standard medical practice of attempting to identify “possible chemical imbalance”, and to try to treat the candidate-imbalance, may be if not fake, very limited in scientific foundation.
But, it would be going too far to suggest that chemical imbalance ‘NEVER’ causes mis-functioning of the mind. Just as an athlete can become depleted of electrolytes-balance (electrolytes and water together), or even not have sufficient electrolytes or hydration even before physical exertion;, differently, it is not impossible for the complex systems of neurotransmitters to have an mis-functioning of balance (I am no expert: [web page on neurotransmitters: http://themedicalbiochemistrypage.org/nerves.php#table ] but there is a complex Serotonin uptake system; and a Dopamine update system apparently is vulnerable to sabotage by drug abuse [e.g. http://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/research-reports/cocaine/how-does-cocaine-produce-its-effects ]; and, there is a glutamate-glutamine neurotransmitter metabolic cycle; and, there is a Adenosine [e.g., sleep promotion, other] cycle.)
If a person either becomes over-stimulated [stimulation beyond the brain’s capacity to rebalance], or puts forth mental over-exertion, the brain’s normal system of ‘balancing’ can become ‘knocked out’, or in effect ‘injured’. It then may take time, even months, for the brain to return to its normal overall balance and resilience – both able to function, and able to re-balance after ‘normal’ human brain activity.
The brain is physical and has its limits, and tolerances [what is can withstand, or what might be overwhelming], and its physical requirements [proper rest, absence of overwhelming injury or overwhelming disease (e.g., infection, or cancer), proper nutrition, sufficient circulatory health, adequate respiration,] which serve as prerequisites for it having its ‘normal’ limits and tolerances.

  7. Joel says:

The reason you won’t see this story in mainstream or conservative media can be answered by the millions of dollars they are paid monthly to run advertisements for psychiatric drugs. They will not bite the hand that feeds them.
Another reason is that while they love a controversy, they won’t touch one this big. Another is that people who go crazy on these drugs go out and commit acts of insanity and they get a huge story to report which grabs people’s attention and up go their ratings. They are in on it.

  8. Sherlock says:

Thanks Jon for continuously punching holes in this part of the matrix.

It’s difficult to understand how it’s possible to have so many psychiatrists acting like drug dealers. Most of them are certainly aware about everything mentionned in this article… Aware of this titanic fraud. I can’t believe they are all ignorants,This is ridiculous They don’t know the causes, they can’t definite “mental illness”, all disorders must be voted in the DSR, the mechanism of action of their drugs is unknown… They know nothing, it’s all guess work. You can easily see it when you read on this subject, especially on websites supporting Big Pharma. You’ll always find this kind of words: “believe”, “seem”, “suggest”, “It is thought”, “idea”, “presume”, “may”, “might”, etc.

For example: In the report from Harvard “Understanding the depression”:
    http://hrccatalog.hrrh.on.ca/InmagicGenie/DocumentFolder/understanding%20depression.pdf

    ***

Kinds of neurotransmitters. Scientists have identified many different neurotransmitters. Here is a description of a few BELIEVED to play a role in depression:

    • Acetylcholine enhances memory and is involved in learning and recall.

    • Serotonin helps regulate sleep, appetite, and mood and inhibits pain. Research supports THE IDEA that some depressed people have reduced serotonin transmission. Low levels of a serotonin byproduct have been linked to a higher risk for suicide.

    • Norepinephrine constricts blood vessels, raising blood pressure. It MAY trigger anxiety and be involved in some types of depression. It also SEEMS to help determine motivation and reward.

    • Dopamine is essential to movement. It also influences motivation and plays a role in how a person perceives reality. Problems in dopamine transmission have been associated with psychosis, a severe form of distorted thinking characterized by hallucinations or delusions. It’s also involved in the brain’s reward system, so IT IS THOUGHT to play a role in substance abuse.

    • Glutamate is a small molecule BELIEVED to act as an excitatory neurotransmitter and to play a role in bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Lithium carbonate, a well-known mood stabilizer used to treat bipolar disorder, helps prevent damage to neurons in the brains of rats exposed to high levels of glutamate. Other animal research SUGGESTS that lithium MIGHT stabilize glutamate reuptake, a mechanism that MAY explain how the drug smooths out the highs of mania and the lows of depression in the long term.

    • Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is an amino acid that researchers BELIEVE acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter. IT IS THOUGHT to help quell anxiety.

    ****

May I suggest that the believed idea that mental illnesses are thought to be fiction, might be correct? Our researches seem to support this idea.

  9. Richard Feynman figured out the psychiatry game many years ago.

After my extremely smart 2nd grader was medically diagnosed by his 2nd grade teacher as having ADHD and after she arranged an ambush meeting with five or six other “doctors” in the school, I slept one night in four days researching ADHD on the Internet. I was lucky to find Dr. Fred Baughman, who was an early adversary of psychiatrists and the DSM. I also found Peter Breggin (Talking Back to Ritalin), John Breeding (Wildest Colts Make the Best Horses) and Able Child, who all made perfect sense in their arguments against labeling and drugging children.

After learning the truth, my son’s 2nd grade teacher switched her medical diagnosis to Opposition Defiance Disorder. I refused all medical tests for my son. Many years later, we learned that my son’s only problem was that he needed glasses.

  11. ozziethinker says:

Actually, Jon, ALL science turns out to be fake because it measures an illusion backed by [human] perception. Lucky the illusion is very well made, because it sort of works; kinda….

We live in an object universe according to science. Anything that contradicts objectivity is outlawed.

Why did the Romans never “invent” zero? Did they know something we didn’t?

  12. seamlessone says:

Have you noticed that in the media, whenever something tragic happens like a mass murder or a suicide there is usually some statement along the lines of “they failed to get mental help” or “they never sought out the proper medical help for their condition”. The underlying premise seems to be that medical treatment is nearly 100% successful in preventing all the really ugly things that happen in this society. Yet there are no statistics to back that up whatsoever.

In fact maybe if they had received treatment the “bad” thing they did would have happened even sooner, or on a bigger scale. Their basic assumptions and presuppositions are hilarious.

  13. seamlessone says:

Actually most branches of science are equally laughable. Look at quantum physics for example…mostly a bunch of degenerates with out a clue. Interesting you say that. What we now call mental illness used to be called demonic possession. Exorcism worked to “cure it” way better than psychiatric treatment ever did/does. However, that is just influencing behavior (not curing disease). There is no sickness of the mind. So, it’s impossible to cure “it.” What you are talking about is influencing other people’s behavior. There are COUNTLESS ways to do that (including exorcism, drugs, torture, threats, giving people money and housing, being a good friend to someone who could use a good friend, kindness, love, a hobby, a purpose in life, a religion, work, magic mushrooms and mystical shamans in the south-american rainforest as was mentioned earlier in this comment section, and millions of other ways). None of this proves a person has a disease and the thing that influenced his behavior is a cure.

  16. Sadly, we as a society have grown to acknowledge problems only when one is the victim and not the one responsible. People run to psychiatry when they do not want to take responsibility for their actions. Yes, some may do this subconsciously, but thanks to political correctness and money hungry lawyers, psychiatrists and other mental heath professionals can not tell someone “just buck up and get over it.” If everyone was no longer afraid to tell others the truth and spare their feelings then we could have a more mentally stable society. Instead everyone tiptoes around the truth. The deception began when we were made to believe being accepted at all costs is in our nature.

70’s psychiatrist RD Lang believed schizophrenia was self healing reaction of the wholistic human. Psychiatric treatments locked down the process, never allowing it to complete. But in terms of lives damaged, shortened and ended; in terms of families ravaged and destroyed; in terms of pure EVIL, nothing can touch “vaccination” IMO.

“Researchers at the Mayo Clinic set out to determine whether the flu vaccine was effective in reducing the number of hospitalizations for all children and especially the ones with asthma. The study involved 263 children who were evaluated from six months to 18 years of age, each of whom had had laboratory-confirmed influenza between 1996 to 2006. The investigators determined which children had and had not received the flu vaccine, their asthma status, and who did and did not require hospitalization. Records were reviewed for each subject with influenza-related illness, for flu vaccination preceding the illness, and hospitalization during that illness. They found that children who had received the flu vaccine had three times he risk of hospitalization, as compared to children who had not received the vaccine. In asthmatic children, there was a significantly higher risk of hospitalization in subjects who received the The Influenza Vaccine, as compared to those who did not .”

  25. Great! But I wouldn’t say that laboratory test is always needed in science. In many cases, the description of the phenomenon is science anyway. Of course, on one side, psychs descriptions are fraud, on the other side, they have the ability to present lab tests for anything tomorrow; and with statistics.

The new thing is “post-partum depression”. This one, as probably most of the old things, is a politically needed disorder. Recently, I heard on Canadian TV this:
“A mother killed her two children, age 1 and 4. Another sad case of post-partum depression.”
The words may not be the exact words, but I remember well the age of the second child.
To me, it means that the mother will not be charged and that never again such cases will be reported in mass media – that’s just a private matters.

  26. The truth is... says:

Dr. Allen Frances in a nutshell: Mental illnesses are obviously not diseases, but they are wonderful justifications to lock up innocent people in prisons called “mental hospitals.” If you want to read books by an honest psychiatrist who was not a nazi (or communist), may I recommend Dr. Thomas Szasz.

  27. Mental illnesses are nothing else than the compression of gases from the fermentation of toxic accumulated waste in the gut; the undigested foods the human body cannot properly assimilate.

    • Joe says:

Sadness (or any disapproved of emotion or behavior) is nothing more than the compression of gases from the fermentation of accumulated waste. With logic like that, you might consider becoming a psychiatrist. They would love you. They know the truth that if people were all perfectly healthy they would all be happy, decent, dignified, fully-functioning members of society and they would all act and think like a society says they should. It would be heaven on earth. Sadly, like the “real” heaven, this is just a myth.

Would you rather be stuck on a train with a schizophrenic on meds or off their meds?

    • medusajoe says:

      Off.
But i would like the person to have a generally nice personality to begin with, i would not like the person to be the type that resorts easily to aggression when under pressure.
The violence is caused by the drugs
Due to the fact the drugs torment the person by throwing them into a living hell of insanity by chemically poisoning their brain.
I know this for a fact.
Luckily i am a nice person.

    • medusajoe says:

      Schizophrenia does not exist
It is merely a invented label used a lot by idiots who prescribe drugs that induce psychosis on generally well minds of people who have asked for help with such things as anxiety of life crisis situations.
      I know.

      • ozziethinker says:

        MD

This actually isn’t true. Schizophrenia is a diagnosis of a state of mind, which, according to material science, does not exist. Psychiatry has manipulated governance to impose false diagnoses.

I explain the soul network in my book. After certain traumas a body can adopt two active souls. This condition is sometimes called a “split personality”. Jinn activity can also produce a doubling of personality.

  31. medusajoe says:

The DSM creates psychiatric illness labels out of human behaviours and human mistakes such as illicit drug addiction or having a bad day.
While drug companies create full on madness and insanity by their psyche drugs. Those toxic insanity causing drugs are the so called cure for the DSM list of human behaviours .
This is the cruel trick, it is the psychopathic crime against humanity
This is the trick of the psychiatric crime.
It is how it all works.

  32. Kate says:

I think you misunderstand something. In science, there is no such thing as “proof.” We can never “know.” As far as the scientific method goes, if a scientist makes a hypothesis, follows proper method to experiment upon said hypothesis, and comes to a conclusion that supports the hypothesis–that isn’t proof. Your hypothesis is supported, at best. Theories are made when research (i.e. experiments) have been done, repeated, peer reviewed, altered, done again, peer reviewed again. As in… it’s a really long process to form a theory. If even ONE experiment doesn’t support your theory, it’s out. It’s gone. Science is all about knowing the truth, yeah? People trying to figure stuff out. Same with spirituality, same with psychiatry. The thing is, since we can’t know everything, we do the best we can.
First, a bit of background: The way all mutations work in the human body, whether it be cancer, macular degeneration, or ADHD, is that very small RNAs, called microRNAs, act as instructions for protein formation. These RNAs can instruct cells to make proteins out of viral tissue instead of healthy tissue, such as in the case of Hep B, or these microRNAs can attach to a messenger RNA and destroy it, effectively silencing the formation of dangerous cells (disease, cancer, etc). Ideally, scientists would be able to synthetically produce microRNA’s (synthetic ones are called siRNAs) and program them to silence the genes that cause psychiatric “diseases.” However, this is not the case. Often, we don’t know what causes such things as these, but we can do all we are able in order to relieve those who are suffering.
Back to “doing the best we can.” Take, for example, birth control. Scientists don’t actually know why taking a combination of estrogen/progesterone every month keeps us from getting pregnant, but it happens anyway to the point of 99% effectiveness. Lots of times, scientists DON’T know how something works, they just know that it does. Many experiments have a different result than is intended, and lots of times, this is how progress is made and innovation is had, even if the intent was different. Similarly, psychiatric medication helps the symptoms of very harmful illnesses, like psychosis, schizophrenia, and multiple personality disorder.
Personally, I am not opposed to medicating (with their consent) those who suffer from conditions like this, as long as they understand that every individual is different and one medication will not work for all victims of the same illness. For some, therapy and medication is the best route for them. For some, homeopathic remedies soothe them better. But the important things are that A) they are not a danger to society and B) that they feel relieved from their symptoms, if they find those symptoms to be problematic (as in routinely interfering with their ability to live life). However, “medicating” often goes too far. Far too many children are diagnosed with ADHD than is realistically probable. Though milder conditions like ADHD can be problematic, many patients AND physicians seek to fix an underlying behavioral problem with a quick prescription instead of trying to fix the root of the problem.
Really, it is not about denouncing science, or denouncing homeopathic remedies and spirituality. It is about balance. We’re all trekking toward a common goal.

Another thought: You probably should have a beef with the FDA and Insurance companies as well. Here’s why:
    A) After all the clinical trials have been done and a medication is shown to help with certain conditions (let’s call these conditions A,B, and C), the FDA (non scientists and non doctors, I might add) insists on RE testing the medicine (which is very expensive) and that takes a really long time. Enter insurance companies. Let’s say the clinical trials say that medicine A helps with conditions A,B, and C. However, the FDA “tests” have only supported the medicine’s use for A, but not B and C. EVEN IF medication A is the best option for person with condition C, the insurance company will refuse to pay for the medication because the FDA hasn’t “tested” it yet.
    B) If medication A will work better for a patient than medication B, if medication A is more expensive than medication B, the insurance company will insist that the patient try medication B first, since it is cheaper. If the medication does not work (which, in this case, it wouldn’t in the first place), the doctor has to fill out an appeal form in order for the insurance company to even remotely consider paying for medication B for the ailing patient.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on what I have to say, Thanks for reading. 🙂

Reblogged this on Science Goes On – A Blind Date With God and commented:
So many victims, so few ways to escape that psychiatrists have done to us…and I wonder how many will survive these drugs we can’t get off of now.

You always thought you could trust your Doctor, one would never think it turns out they are the ones that make you believe you are sick, make you believe you need these pills and it’s too late to go back to when your brain did not take them and you wonder why you are poor and disabled now and traumatized and why no one will help you stop taking the pills….and the horror continues and you wonder…if it can even be stopped.

  34. Deborah says:

Thank you for this post. As I have done research over the years myself to try to escape my own diagnoses, I find these articles so disturbing. So sad this can be allowed to go on in this culture and my horrific fear of how I can escape this system and who will help me get off these drugs and stay off these drugs and I wonder if I will survive.

    There should be a law.

A filmmaker should expose this, Micheal Moore perhaps.

Thank you for posting. I pray people will survive this dark time in medicine.
