Suppose nothing is stronger than love

Suppose that’s true. Suppose steel walls or time and space can’t block it. Suppose it’s always there, no matter what we do to remain unconscious about it.

Suppose it’s always there between us and those we love, no matter where they’ve gone or we’ve gone. Suppose nothing can stop it.

What would that mean?

The lost shall be found.

And if we knew that as clearly as we know the table and chairs and the lamp are in the next room, what then?

Everything would change.

People who say what I’m suggesting is a fairy tale would actually see all sorts of their own fairy tales dissolve and vanish. Their fairy tales made out of so-called hard reality. Gone.

Suppose someone said we live in a war zone surrounded by a sea of love, and he was right.

And doom is the perpetual lie.

And doom can only be extended by people who tell themselves that story on and on.

These thoughts (they’re more than thoughts) have occurred to me a number of times. For example, listening to one of the endless philosophic lectures of J Krishnamurti. The man could certainly make salient points, but by and large he rolled out complex and seemingly DISTANT ideas over and over, as if he were a recording device. And I thought—he needs a woman to walk up to him and kiss him on the cheek and put her hand on his forehead and smile at him. He needs her to take his hand and lead him into a nice room where they sit together on a couch and tell stories and laugh. Then they walk into the kitchen and cook a decent meal together and sit down and eat. That’s what the man needs. And then he’ll be all right.

So would anyone.

And if the separation (time and space) was really just a kiss not being kissed, when of course it could be, then we’re rolling dice at a table knowing that when we want it, there is always a seven waiting right around the corner. At that very moment, knowing this, the entire casino (or the war) lifts its own cover, and all concerned parties pop the corks on bottles of champagne that have been sitting in the cellar since the beginning of history and since we began telling all our stories.

Somehow, woven into all the stories I’ve been writing these years, that story is there; a holiday which I declare.

I just wanted you to know.

I heard the Romantics say, “What will be, will be.”

Oh how I wish everyone could and would read this and know it to be truth. Beautiful Jon. Thank you.

  3. AnnaMaria says:

Absolutely beautiful! The truth is beautiful, isn’t it? We need not suppose at all. Neither death nor the stone walls of a tomb could contain Love Himself. Happy Easter!

What a creative and loving surprise of an article. Thank you for this gift!

Lets see, I can bind myself deeper into slavery and enjoy slavery (sell out) benefits. Or I can shake all of that off and enjoy endless adventures that it could never offer. Going for the Holiday.

  9. Gerard says:

Jesus Christ is LOVE! When you believe in Christ you’ll lose the fear that is the human prison, because love does not fear. LOVE is the absence of fear as evil is the absence of love.

  10. Siouxma says:

Love, Sweet Love! Being kind to another human as you would to a puppy or kitten. It’s so simple, yet seemingly impossible for so many men and women. Why would that be? We are highly impressionable to do ruinous things to ourselves as proven by the last few years. Why not the opposite? But you have to shut off the TV poison and all conduits of Darkness, including going to a church or synagogue that pushes the Covid Crapshots. Jon’s right, this could all be stopped in a heartbeat with expressing some genuine Love for one another right there in your own world, your own family, your own house. The problem is NOT JUST OUT THERE!

“Suppose nothing is stronger than love”

Nothing IS more powerful than Love. Hate and anger and any other emotion can’t rival the depth of feeling and source of power and energy and the eternal timeless nature of feeling Love.

People speak of Love as if it were just one thing… one same feeling. But in truth, it isn’t. Why? Because we are all different. We all experience Life differently. We see the World through different eyes. We interpret what we process differently. So we use the word Love to represent a broad spectrum of that strong feeling of ultimate warmth and connection and affection.

And in whatever way one experiences Love… love truly knows no bounds. Time and space mean nothing to Love. No power can stop it.

Whereas ‘Consciousness’ is fundamental to Existence (as quantum physics is proving)… then Love as THE ultimate experience within Consciousness is by default the most important and defining and powerful feeling within the matrix of Existence.

There are many kinds of Love. But what they all share is that you care about someone or something on a very deep level – someone or something that is outside of the traditional boundaries of Self. (In truth, our ‘Self’ extends far and wide beyond the confines of our human forms).

Some people say that opposite of Love is hate. But that is not true. The opposite of Love is… emptiness. Void. Lifelessness. Deadness.

That’s why many have said, ‘God is Love’. God is many, many things. And Love is certainly a primary characterization that we humans can comprehend about The Giver of Life. God is Love because God is the OPPOSITE of emptiness…void… lifelessness.

Love is a danger to the Dark Powers That Be. That is why They want to turn humans into machines. Machines cannot love. Machines can only obey. That’s what these Social Deviants want for the human race… dead machinery that cannot love and only serves to obey those Bringers of Darkness. Love is the ultimate power… and They can’t stand that.

Humanity will always have a future so long as it embraces its capacity to Love. And as we have entered dark days in bleak period of human history… Love is our life-preserver and our eternal roadmap to always find our way out of the caves of darkness that surround us in our World today… and in all of our tomorrows.

I sent you an e-mail years ago while I was reading your course on imagination and reality saying that everything became clear when I realized that what you were calling imagination I thought of as reality and vice-versa. You replied saying how you saw that could be so.

This post makes my point explicitly, so you may be interested in a book some years ago that explores the same issue from a philosophical, historical and religious perspective. Here’s the Amazon link, but if you want to look at it and prefer a PDF copy I can send you one:

  16. Jim Luscombe says:

Amen Jon, I love you and the world right back, buddy. Thanks for the holiday, Take some time for yourself to sit and love, too.

  17. Frank says:

Thanks Jon, I needed to be reminded. Although, I think about it often enough. Even the fleeting glimpses of deep, sincere, unconditional love, even if only experienced once in a lifetime can be more rewarding than anything this material world can offer.

  18. linda says:

Thanks for this article. Nothing IS stronger than love. Jesus taught that and his life, death & resurrection proved it!

  19. Cris M. says:

There isn’t this sort of sharing writing that people get to see often. It would be dumb to not copy the article. Suggest copy on paper, not computer. Things can take out electronics but paper is in hand. Maybe paper mail to others.

Have come to picture energy as natural cycle we can have, each person does a part, re-cycle energy cycle, part of earth and sky.

Appreciate your work and sharing Jon, more than words can say –

The shift from fear to love.

Yip that’s exactly what this is all about, shifting paradigms.

Krishnamurti did not need a woman( mother) to look after him ( projecting haha) for the universe gave him exactly what he needs to play his part.

Many people love(d) and care(d) for him he had/has.

  21. Patrick says:

    Nice one Jon

    That is profound
