Trump and his sh*thole remark: the story nobody is talking about

(Assuming Trump made the remark as reported—he denies it)

You’re not a terrorist.

You aren’t trying to emigrate.

You aren’t a refugee who refuses to assimilate, who feels entitled to abuse his wife in any way he wants to, for any reason.

You’re not a member of the vicious MS-13 gang.

You’re not involved in child sex trafficking.

You’re not making anchor babies.

You’re not a pirate, a kidnapper, a street thug, or a drug dealer.

You’re one of the millions and millions of people who simply live out their lives where they are. You represent a FAR larger population than all the above categories put together.

You and your family call home a tiny shack in a large crowded city in an African country. Your family has existed in the throes of poverty and extreme hunger for many generations.

You drink water that is pumped directly from untreated sewage.

Garbage is strewn in the streets.

Riots and wars erupt from time to time, and so do epidemics, because no one in your neighborhood has a healthy body that can fight off germs.

All around the city there is fertile growing land, but most of it has been taken over by transnational agri-corporations.

I can predict with certainty that the last thing you care about is whether the president of the US has called your country a shithole.

You’re not circulating a petition protesting his remark and sending it to the United Nations.

You’re not watching outraged commentators on CNN excoriating the president.

You’re not reading tweets from liberals who are triggered by Trump.

You’re not watching YouTube videos made by college students in Boston.

You’re wondering whether your sick daughter is going to survive the night.

You do care about medical teams that sweep through the neighborhood and vaccinate everyone, because you’ve seen adults and children die after the shots.

You aren’t comparing the talking heads on FOX with the talking heads on MSNBC, to see who is parsing what.

You aren’t poring over the Washington Post.

You do know that the dictator of your country (the latest in a long line of psychopaths) has sold everything that isn’t nailed down, to foreign predatory corporations. You’re told that, half a century ago, there was a local leader who might not have been a psychopath; and the CIA killed him.

You do know that you and your people have been targets of exploitation for more than a hundred years.

If you were somehow made aware of Trump’s remark, you might wonder why no one is actually doing something to change the circumstances of life in your country. That’s the only question for you. And you don’t see any help coming.

You also know that chemicals from a mining company and a sugar company nearby have been seeping into the soil and making people sick and killing them. Why doesn’t someone stop that?

You aren’t analyzing what the Democrats and the Republicans are saying about a pending US immigration bill.

Every time doctors from foreign countries show up and label the latest round of illness and death with a disease name, you know they’re lying, because you can see, inside your shack, and out in the street, all the conditions that are destroying people.

If there is a word in your language that approximates “shithole,” you’ve used it yourself a thousand times to describe your country. You’ve used similar words to describe the president of your country.

So-called political correctness is not on your personal radar.

You don’t care who is sitting in the White House today or who sat in it yesterday. Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton; it doesn’t matter. None of them have done anything to help raise up your people.

If someone told you about the uproar in the press and the capital city of the US, concerning Trump’ latest remark, you would see all that as just another way to distract people from the fact that YOUR people are sick and dying.

Who is talking about you?

They’re talking to each other. They’re talking to each about what the president of the US has been talking about.

They’re pushing back from the table after a meal in a room that has heat and insulation, and someone is taking a piece of plastic out of his pocket to pay for the meal, and they’re wearing new clothes, and they’re looking at their cell phones.

You know your country is a shithole. The point is: who made it that way? Who took a fertile paradise and turned it into a sewer?

You know Bill Gates and the UN and the World Health Organization aren’t going to fix it. You know the head of Monsanto isn’t going to fix it. He might drench your country in more toxic pesticides, but that’s about it. His fake food is growing everywhere, but you aren’t eating much of it, and even if you could, it’s not going to bring you back to health. Facebook and Google aren’t going to fix your country.

You know how to fix your country.

Get back all the stolen land. Make small farms out of it. Return the land to the people who worked it and lived on it for centuries.

That was the answer then and it’s the answer now.

Does the US government care about that? Does the Russian or the Chinese government?

Do the shitholes called Washington and Moscow and Beijing care?

Do the snowflake liberal student shitholes care? Do the fat-cat cheating lying crony corporate shitholes care? Do the shithole banks?

You may not know the word “Globalism,” but you do know you’re a pawn and a target in a big operation, and the operation involves stealing everything your family once had. The big criminals may have fancy ideas about why it’s a good thing “for the world,” but you don’t know about that, and you wouldn’t care if you did.

You just want to drink a glass of clean water for once in your life.

You want the piece of land your great-great-grandfather used to own, you want to get out of the city and breathe real air again.

You want soil that isn’t filled with poison from factories and mines and big company farms.

There isn’t any mystery about it.

The idea that some big shot called your country a shithole? That would be a good thing…

If he did something about it.

But you aren’t in the equation.

You’re missing.

The people who are talking to each other about what the president said, when he was talking, aren’t looking at you. They don’t know you. They never will.

You don’t have time to try to figure out what they’re doing and why—if you were watching the news. And you aren’t watching the news.

You’re not a terrorist.

You aren’t trying to emigrate.

You’re one of the millions and millions of people who will live out their lives where they are.

What a US president said is the least of your worries. The people who are worried aren’t worried about you.

You’re just trying to keep your sick daughter alive through the night.

You know there has to be revolution in your country. You also know most revolutions are phony, staged to put a new psychopath in the palace. For starters, can you find ten good people who are smart, courageous, honorable, and willing? Who will mount a plan to eventually go up against the dictator and the foreign colossus behind him?

The odds are very long. But what else is there to do?

Meanwhile, you’re hoping your daughter survives the night.

What people, thousands of miles away, are saying about what other people are saying is not on your mind.

If someone told you what the president of the United States said—and if you could, by some miracle, sit across from this president, you would say: “Sir, you called my country a shithole. It is really a beautiful place. It was. But you’re right. It’s turned into a shithole. Can you help us do something about that? Perhaps I see a glint of light, because finally a powerful leader used an accurate word to describe what has happened to us. You used a word that cut through many fairy tales. So, can you help us reclaim the land that was once ours? Forget about building roads and airports and hospitals and office buildings and malls. We just need our land back, and then we’ll figure out what we need to do ourselves.”

That would be a strange moment.

Perhaps an embarrassing moment.

—Regardless of whether Donald Trump, Barack Obama, George Bush, Bill Clinton, George Bush, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, John Kennedy, Dwight Eisenhower, Harry Truman, Franklin Roosevelt, or any of his predecessors were sitting across from you.

You represent a FAR larger population than all the above categories put together.

You’re one of the millions and millions of people who simply live out their lives where they are.

You want your land back.

Nobody is listening to you.

If you and millions like you could get their land back, you would start farming it, and you would turn the shithole where you live into something better.

  1. SasjaL says:

Actually, Trump is liberal, standing up for the US. Constitution, which is liberal by definition!

Liberalism [right wing] Socialism [left wing]

    • socialdynamos says:

Socialism, is indiscriminate anti social war on social life. Progressivism, is discrimination against social progress. Individualist social progress, is Laissez faire Liberal old school, old whig conserving of real social practices. Progressivism, is a progressive cancer, consuming the fruits of the Laissez faire 18th-19th century Classical Liberal Individualist social progress. Thanks SajaL, You are 100% correct. I second your notion, 100% Thanks for your sharp clarity, about real social science terms.

  2. Freespirit says:

    Thank you Jon.

I am one of those who TRAVELS to countries in South America and Africa and what you say is absolutely correct, painful and desperate. WE should not forget to include Palestine

Fact is the people in the countries in those continents NEVER receive any information about what we say about them. If they did it would not matter. They are too busy just trying to survive and avoid the CONSEQUENCES of OUR (Westerners and Zionists), Greed, Supremacist arrogance, resulting actions and inactions

I know of that FIRST HAND

    • From Quebec says:

WE should not forget to include Palestine (Freespiri)

Are you kidding me? Palestinians are terrorists, they are trying to emigrate, they will never assimilate. this is why no countries want them in.

Palestinians are the only people that I will never care for. They reap what they have sown

      • jifster says:

Are YOU kidding ME, FQ? Palestinians are PRISONERS, and have been for 70 YEARS! They’re trying to become a FREE PEOPLE! […]

        • From Quebec says:

All that these criminal idiots have to do is to accept a two state solution. But they never will so as far as I am concerned, I will never feel sorry for these terrorists..

          • socialdynamos says:

The is a 22-plus, Arab League States solution. The Arab League State of Jordan, is the great super majority of JudaeanHebrew, Canaanite language speaking country. The Arab League, is about 50% larger than the USA, including Alaska. The Arab League States, are about 40% larger than Canada. The only land mass, under a single nation state sovereign rule, that is even comparable to the “Arab Nation”(The Arab League), is Russian empire occupied Siberian, north Asia. The Arabist empire’s central power core, the Arab League States, is comparable to the totality of only one single political nation state. The Arab League states, are comparable, in size, to Russian empire occupied Siberian, north Asia. There is not one ethnic nation, comparable to the Russian empire & the Arabist empire. The Russian empire’s Russian Federation dynasty, is the only. political unit, even comparable, as a single self defined ethnic nation state, the same or larger than the League of Arab States. The unique Arab League character, is the multi vote rights of the Arabist empire confederated states. Racist Arabism’s violations, against Muslim non Arabs, includes Arabist genocide against Darfur Muslim non Arabs. However, do Darfur Muslim non Arabs, have a nation state vote, in the United Nation states?

    • shane c says:

They were shit holes before the US came into existence. And they were given ”their land back” in Zimbabwe, and proceeded to wreck the entire country.

    • I did not get it, did your make a joke about Arabist empire occupied JudaeanHebrew, Zion, Israel? I know you were poking fun, at the state-ism defined nation state. That would be the only one of several kinds of ways, I might be able to reckon with your NOT saying a single word, like Arabist empire racist occupied Darfur, Sudan African Muslim non Arab country. Folks can choose to say, the way they choose to, the subject of racist Arabism’s empire of kkklanazi-Stalinism’s sons of the Nazi Palestine Arab Party.

However, if you are actually, trying to make a real social science or classical liberal, humanities claim, I noticed you did not even say any words, akin to the Arab empire or Arabist empire occupied Africa & Asia. You certainly did not say a word about the Arabist empire genocide, against Nubian Muslim non Arabs. You certainly did not say a word about PalestineArab racists, training SudanArabists, while SudanArabists, were practicing, mass rape, chattel slavery, genocide, gassing against Kurdish Muslim non Arabs. You did not say a word about Arabist empire colonial settling of SudanAfrican homelands. So, if you making fun of the radical & generic Politically correct “human rights interest”, in PalestineArab suffering, I get your joke. Maybe your comments were typed in half.

I suppose you comments were simply lost in the tech typo-es, potential problems. So, in case you lost these parts of the Arabist empire’s PalestineArab colonizing of ethnic JudaeanHebrew, Zion, Israel, here are just some examples of the Arabist empire environs. If you talk seriously about PalestineArab issues, then you must start with Arabist empire violations of the 100% pro-Zionist Koran recital. Then you can progress, to the Arabist empire’s Arab League confederated dynasty.

The Arab league houses of the Arabist empire confederated colonies, must create a new way to denature the Nation of Israel. The Arabist empire, must do to Israel, the very thing Arabist racism, does to the Arabist empire occupied ethnic Egyptic-Coptic nation. Arabism, must cut the wind-pipe of Israel, like Arabism drowns Nubia, like Arabism slits the Egyptic-Coptic throats. Meanwhile, ethnic PalestineArab Israeli Muslims, serve in the Israeli Defense Forces, the IDF. These ethnic PalestineArab Muslim Israeli Defense Forces’ service members, swear an oath, on their Holy Koran, to defend the Koran’s 100% pro Zionist mandate. The Koran mandates that the Nation of Israel, takes a firm hand, against the Corrupt violators of the Koran’s Zionist recital. All not able to lend a hand, should practice Laissez faire lasses passé, let my people do their return , let them pass, unmolested. The Koran demands of Muslims, to not block or defame the Koran’s Zionist recital. All Muslims, are assigned the duty of lending their helping hands , if able or letting the Nation of Israel, follow the Koran’s Zionist mandate, to facilitate the Koran’s Zionist rebirth of the Nation Israel. , The only way racist Arabism, can rationalize defamation of Israeli ethnic PalestineArab service members, is to market the racist denial of the 19th-21st century Nation of Israel, with the Koran’s simple Zionist recital of the Koran’s Zionist mandate. Real Koran loyalists, are 100% Zionist neighbors of the NATION OF ISRAEL That is central, to the self definition of Isla, in the Holy Koran. All Koran reading Muslim PalestineArabs, know, that central power point of the Koran’s 100% pro Zionist recital. I am quite sure you are well aware of all the above. So I hope I filled in the story, you meant to include. I am sure the loss, was not your fault. These computer glitches, do happen, So I am quite sure, you meant to frame your jokes, in the context of Arabist empire identity theft , against the Koran’s 100% pro Zionist recital.

Also, all my comments regarding Arabist empire occupied Africa & Asia, referring to more land than Canada, were to lend my helping hands. as the Koran recites, the human race must at least try to do. Thanks for your blessings of letting me lend my helping hands to fill in your plans for your comedy’s social & anti social , Arabist empire setting. I am sure you meant to make a joke, about the utterly anti social nature of the comments, you would not ever mean to say, are your own ideas, about Arabist empire racist identity theft, against the 100% Pro-Zionist Koran recital. Shalom-Aleichem brother.

  3. Trump the Gadfly! He’s got his role and he’s playing it splendidly!

  4. JJ says:

Bravo. Now taking it a step further. Why are these countries sh*tholes? Are all African countries stuck in this way? These are questions that need to be pushed into mainstream minds. And, importantly, are there African countries that have been moving out of this state? How? and What needs to be done? Botswana is a one country that has thrown out the International Monetary Fund and foreign aid, chains on the economic viability of the country, have limited the presence of multi-national corporations, and have encouraged local growth and self-determination. Botswana especially which has put a moratorium on ‘foreign aid’ such as USAID and limited assistance from the philanthropies. Why? Because they want their own self-determination. Worth a read: Kenyan Nobel Peace Prize laureate Wangari Mathaii lays it out quite bluntly in her book, ” The Challenge for Africa”. She argues, yes the troubles of Africa are severe and challenging and too often portrayed by the media in extreme terms connoting poverty, dependence, and desperation. However, she offers a refreshing and unique perspective by calling for a moral revolution AMONG Africans themselves. The continent is dynamic yet Africans CAN and SHOULD do for themselves – take their own destinies into their hands.

    • truth1 says:

JJ, Rule 1 in the Communist Manifesto!
Never Identify the real cause of a problem but use the problem to vilify whoever you want to overthrow. It worked for a while but it does seem a bit out of date now.

      • sundancer55 says:

@ JJ: The cause of the “real problem” is the UN. If they were doing what they’re being highly paid to do (instead of raping children and playing around with dog collars and leashes while nude) they’d be helping the countries in need. That’s what the manifesto of the UN is supposed to be all about, for God’s sake.

        • truth1 says:

No arguments on the UN or their raping children in large quantities and behaving weird. but I would expand the list to include left leaning feminists and their sponsors. And the unbridled immigration, too. Hey! we are a sh!thole, too. damn!

  6. Neil says:

    Brilliant piece Jon. Just brilliant.

    • ErnieM says:

Yes, brilliant article. Trump has claimed to be against globalism, so he should put up and help people in shithole countries get their land back from globalist agricorps. Trump’s plain spokenness was refreshing, tho, and the worst criminal shithole country that we shouldn’t be accepting immigrants from is Mexico.

      • Brian says:

Trump is just barely able to stay in power…under the assault he has taken by the intelligence agencies and the CIA infiltrated MSM. In no way is he in a position regarding U.S foreign policy …the military Industrial Complex is still completely in control. Some good things have happened though… which are anti globalist…such as pulling out of the Paris Climate agreement, getting out of the TPP, having his political people wait 5 years for lobbying jobs which is also a lifetime ban for foreign Governments. You cannot expect too much from a man who has been in power for 1 year..going up against the federal reserve (1913 ) and military Industrial complex in control since WW2. Rich Higgins who worked for Trump’s NSA thinks it will take about 20 years to clean it all up.

        http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/08/12/mcmaster-detonated-over-memo-that-warned-of-political-warfare-effort-against-trump/

        • truth1 says:

I had some thoughts as I read your reply. I say the elite staged the Trump campaign and election. They wanted him to be a man of the people, for an as yet to happen event, to lead those people to where the Elite want them to follow. But to keep Trump’s rhetoric from becoming action, they devised all sort of opposition to oppose and prevent Trump from gaining any ground on reform. In this way, he still looks good cause “its not his fault.” So he is still there for leading the people a little later. But he never does manage to make any real progress at MAGA.

If you ask me, the plan is brilliant. He does not have to live up to anything but still talks and sounds like a hero, when performance wise, he is a zero. Ah, good thing the people are so stupid and trusting. It can’t fail. The elite know it and so do I.

Well, its back to the old cardboard box for a good nights sleep. Its not much to brag about, but I don’t pay property taxes on it. so maybe I am not so crazy . . . or not!

  7. Greg C. says:

Trump could start a revolution with that word. When he addresses the nation in the State of the Union address very soon, he should turn to the cameras and say, “The media is a sh*tf-hole of information. They have gone belong mudslinging in their obvious and desperate attempts to get rid of me. Out of their imagination came the Pee-gate story, a total fabrication. That should tell you something about where their mind is. Am I right? So true, so true….”

  8. Ted Wrinch says:

    Powerful, true, tragic – thank-you.

  9. elantoh says:

Ideally this article would be very true and heartfelt however we all know that the continent of Africa, with all its wealth of minerals and forests and animals and the such in thousands of years has never produced much regarding civilized (as we see it) accomplishments.

No manufacturing, colleges, agricultural advancements, has most of the lowest IQ’s in the world, and such. Now this doesn’t mean that capitalist pigs haven’t taken advantage of them, for sure they have, but it also doesn’t mean we have to let millions into our country and run down our fragile stasis.

Gaddaffi was on the way to producing a fabulous nation state and the largest water works program in the world, but the Zionist Mafia couldn’t allow him to do that because he was not going to use the Central Banks. So just like Garfield, Lincoln, and JFK he was murdered by them.

True humanitarian aide would be to teach them “to fish” and not just feed them. The billions we spend on our war machine could easily be used to assist the Africans to be self-sustaining. But these are the days of darkness, greed, self absorbtion, and other such nonsense isn’t it?

    • arcadia11 says:

you revealed yourself in the first two paragraphs.
      unmitigated.

      • elantoh says:

No idea what that is supposed to mean??

        • Pretty sure the implication is, you view Africans as inferior.
At least that is how I understand your post and his response

          • elantoh says:

In many ways they are. Your need to be PC with this is blinding you to the facts. With a nation full of Murderous Muslims with 65 IQ’s and a plethora of diseases and rape mentality want to come into our country, like they have done in Europe, they do not represent anything we need.

The illegal aliens argue they have a right to be here as well and they don’t. We want people here that want to be AMERICANS not just in America, get it? My parents were 1st gen Italian and Irish whose parents stopped at Ellis Island, got a physical, moved to Chicago and became Firemen, Police, Bartenders, Brick Layers, etc. and all spoke English.

“Inclusion” never works in societies that seek autonomous lives in someone else’s country.

          • Theodore says:

I am of the position — regarding the US, Canada, and countries of Western Europe, that…

…the so-called “ideals” of Political Correctness + University Professors + preK education + K-12 education + Feminism + Political Islam (sharia law) + Democratic Party at the Federal level + Mooslim Refugees (integrating but never assimilating) + Hollywood + pesticide-laden food + Harmaceutical-based medicine + vaccines… — as delivered to the citizens via the “mainstream media, social media, entertainment” complex…

            …is a program of Colonization.

That’s what humans do. And the fight is on. The fight is always on.

          • elantoh says:

A larger understanding of “human” history would show you that prior to the takeover the male dominated church state people lived in harmony for thousands of years. Archeologists find no short swords, no heroes graves, no murals, etc. prior to then.

This nonsense we call “history” is the false narrative of the conquerors of the world creating false “truths” about the nature of humanity. Who they are and why they are so smart and cunning, I don’t know. But then one doesn’t need to see the bars to understand they are in prison. We are living in a world of lies:

          • honestliberty says:

I have no need to be PC. I stated consistently that I despise Israel and any Zionist. That is not very PC. I just don’t believe that stereotypes are 100% accurate, and labeling any human subgroup inferior to another because of is the low hanging fruit of racists because they are intellectually lazy and live in fear.

          • elantoh says:

            >>I have no need to be PC. I stated consistently that I despise Israel and any Zionist.>>

I don’t know who you are, so I don’t know about your previous history.

            >>I just don’t believe that stereotypes are 100% accurate>>

Nor do I. This is not about “stereotypes” but rather pragmatic observation. Just look at what is going on in Europe these days for a prime example…rape, diseases, over dependence on welfare, etc. The so-called “refugees” are 20 year old men brought up in a feudal theocracy that demeans women.

Again, Islam is NOT a religion, it is a murder cult:

The Qur’an tells us: “not to make friendship with Jews and Christians” (5:51), “kill the disbelievers wherever we find them” (2:191), “murder them and treat them harshly” (9:123), “fight and slay the Pagans, seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem” (9:5).

You could say the about the Jews and Christians as well. This nonsense of my god is better than yours and I will kill you to prove it. Organized religions have NEVER been about spirituality but always about control of the people through the use of fears and lies to take away autonomous spiritual expression.

It would probably serve you better to address the facts and not the feelings. NOTHING in our constitution says we have to take in all the people of the world. The same for Russia, China, Japan, Mexico, etc. The idea of inclusivity is a liberal/Communist lie to break down our Republic.

          • Theodore says:

            > Islam: feudal theocracy that demeans women; …again, Islam is NOT a religion, it is a murder cult…

            Don’t forget the FGM!

But, they do know how to make babies, though.

            > You could say the [same] about the Jews and Christians as well.

Agreed. But, the Jews and Christians had their reformations many moons ago. The Mooslims have yet to have theirs.

            > Organized religions have NEVER been about spirituality but always about control of the people through the use of fears and lies to take away autonomous spiritual expression.

Could not have said it better.

            > Russia, China, Japan

They don’t like the Mooslims. Gotta have respect for Japan in that they will not take-in Mooslim ‘refugees’.

Political Islam is not compatible with Western Civilization. They’re land pirates.

            Nice reply, thanks.

          • honestliberty says:

Hey, BTW, I agree with Islam. I just don’t agree that any subset of humanity is naturally superior/inferior to another. Current conditioning and long established societal patterns explain much more than skin color. Unless, that is, you active to Darwin and Sanger… At that point I won’t waste my effort attempting to persuade you. We’ll just agree to disagree

      • horsesandhumansalike says:

        Agreed

    • ErnieM says:

Good insights. But the capitalist pigs don’t want people to be self-sustaining, but dependent slave consumers. Jon, by the way, is in tune with someone famous in saying that to help people we should give their land back. Adolf Hitler advocated and did just that–gave the land back to the farmers.

You do lose sight of the point.

Trump’s language is that of the gutter, not the Oval Office.

    It has shocked millions abroad.

Most important, it simply throws away one of last limits in American government.

A government which commits countless crimes, a government hopelessly mire in corruption, now should feel free to speak with utter contempt about others, either because they come from poor places or are of a certain color?

Trump is the cherry on top of the sundae, so to speak.

Utter corruption, right down to his language and contempt for others.

    • truth1 says:

Hey Cuck-man! Gutter language or did you mean gut language. Trump uses words that many use because they are angry and bitter. Trump is tapping into that to resonate with the country, not the left. Its a change world. sink or swim. You’re choice. I do not recommend sticking one’s head in the sand, but I have seen some find more fault with the choice and form of words, rather than the ideas conveyed. This is a tactic of courts. Use procedure to ban evidence and testimony. Aye, that’s a dark road, mate. Perhaps you should reconsider who you are imitating.
      Personal Liberty, are you listening?

    • From Quebec says:

Trump’s language is that of the gutter, not the Oval Office.(JOHN CHUCKMAN)

Trump speak the language of ordinary peoples, because he is not part of the corrupted elites. who lies to us all day long. He calls it as it is. He calsl a spade a spade It is so refreshing.

    • Greg C. says:

Read Roger Stone’s book on Lyndon Johnson. Can you imagine the president taking a crap while holding a briefing? Now there’s contempt. And corruption – having JFK killed so he could assume power. Kind of puts things in perspective, doesn’t it?

    • Jacqueline says:

Didn’t we absorb and get over the ‘shock’ of gutter language – and realize that the majority of our presidents are profoundly less the ‘presidential’ – when Bush and Cheney were shown publicly raising their middle fingers to the world and spouting the F-word? Nothing new here. One can only currently experience such ‘shock’ as a result of attempting to maintain the delusion that ‘America is great’ in principle and action. Those ‘last limits in American government’ vanished a long time ago.

      • truth1 says:

Jacqueline, they live in a fantasy world and forgot all the F words Nixon used on the Watergate tapes. And they still worship Queen Victoria and think she is god-ess. I’ll be damned if I am going to let child-raping and sacrificing Royalty set my standards. The day and age we now live in, demands an honesty in language that fits the day and age. And I am tried of the Elites who swear like hell, try to censor us for being aggravated and expressing it. I hate out of touch prudes living in the past that probably never existed. Nothing against you. But there are others it was meant for. Your comment was a good one.

        • sundancer55 says:

I agree, too, with both of you. Nothing new here except the PC pricks who wanna make something out of it because they actually consider it “news”.

          • truth1 says:

Not only that, sundancer55! They fear words of frustration and being fed up. there is nothing more dangerous than a man how is fed up or has come to believe he has nothing more to lose.So any show or display of anger such as “bad” words, will be punish severely if possible. Its the attitude they both hate and fear. It tends to be contagious and spreads fast. when people realize that others are fed up like they are. then they cleave to each other and bond and it grows and goes viral. honesty in outrage is very seductive.

  12. Richard Pack says:

    Jon,

As an artist and poet, I try to read just about everything which you pen. Over the years I have seen many excellent pieces from you, but this is one of your very best—perhaps the best.

I have had very similar thoughts, just not as eloquent!

I think what I most like about this piece is that we have the typical “Sound and Fury” about absolutely nothing!

And you cut right to the chase, you cut right to the unvarnished truth, you cut right to what matters—and you say it right into all of that bloviating “Sound and Fury!”

It sounds exactly like something that all those “Little People,” who “Don’t Matter,” would say if they could only rise above their Shithole World for just a brief moment of fresh air, fresh water, fresh land, and a fresh life!

    I love it!

    Thanks for your excellent work!

You are a joy to read, and a deep breath of fresh aire!

    the Best,
    Richard Pack (bamboo-water)

  13. Rolf Warner says:

Very well written Jon! This is the truth that is missing and that has been missing for a long time. If the main Stream media see’s this they will bury it as fast as they can! Well done though and I hope you don’t mind me passing this along.

  14. truth1 says:

I liked your angle on this one Jon.

The only ones who give a damn about Trump’s accurate comment are the leftist subversive saboteurs seeking the over throw of the USA. It could not be more obvious. In fact, most of those leftists are either female (allegedly) and or young high school or college age and clueless at best. Brain-washed for sure.

What I do note is that whether Trump said what he said, or not, he could have said and I think it quite possible he did say. Whether he did or did not, the intent was, I think, to say what and how he said it, because that was what many Americans say every day and think all the time. The Don knew it would resonate, as it did during his 2016 campaign.

We are in an interesting place at this time. Never have the Media sources and sentiments of the left ever been more out of alignment with majority of the population than they are right now. It was not this way prior to about maybe 2015. It was building but it’s like it exploded in growth and distance in 2015.

In times past, Commies had a fair amount of success from 1776 to the 90s, maybe. But the stupid lies just are not working anymore. They are too obvious. It’s almost beyond belief how outdated Marxism is now. Why does not the left get some of those who might have some ability to fix the world’s problems to take a stab at this? Because the left gets paid by those in power to promote what they do.

And as Jon pointed out, the only solution is back to the farm and property ownership. There is no other workable answer. Just one solution. ONE!

If you all will pardon me, I had thought over the last day and a half come to me. That story of the Garden of Eden! Actually, it was the first incidence of a Marxist left struggle, though Marx would not appear for another 5,900 years. God made a creation. Call it silly but I like it better than that “Alien” theory. And something coming from nothing is even more absurd.

God made all creation but the focus is on humans. And God made other spirits, too. And some of them turned out to be leftist brats. One in particular, wanted to find fault with everything God did, particularly with the human creation, part instinct and part intellect, the only species like that.
The interesting nature of the Bible is that what is not written or said, quite deliberately, remains to be pondered and answered, just like it is with many conspiracies, there evidence seems to be lacking or what is said or recorded just does not add up. So you have to 2nd guess and speculate and see if you can turn something up.

Assumed by me but no written out, Satan wanted his own bunch of humans to toy and play with and feed his ego. He was not alone in that, either. Humans were evidently very desirable to these malcontents, for their awe, admiration, obedience and reverence for entities of supernatural power. Hell, many people over come celebrity or degrees.
So Satan hurled every accusation he could against God and His human creation. An animal with an intellect. Nothing else like it on earth.

So then, if humans were pathetic, why was Satan so enamored of them? Well, he was just mocking them because he wanted what they supplied reverence and worship. So the human was pathetic and he could get them to do whatever he wanted, not matter how hideous and outrageous it was. And say that God was just selfish, an egotist, a megalomaniac, and a control freak. In fact, he said God could do nothing right. Wow! That was nasty.

Tactics of the left are as old as the human species. And so we fine Trump getting much the same treatment from the left. He can do nothing right. He is 100% wrong. Well, that is kind of silly. No one is 100% wrong r 100% right . . .well, except for me of course. I’m from another dimension and 100% right, right ( some say demention, but you should not believe them. They are 100% wrong. Haven’t you heard?

thanks! i read that slow.did the inner movie..wish trump could read this ?? never know.?.the butterfly flaps his wings creates a hurricane ..so also does the premise of real land ownership create freedom..isn’t that the only reason we contrived government? ownership?

  18. Steven Yates says:

Absolutely the best thing I’ve seen Jon Rappoport write! There were tears running down my face before I got to the end of it!

Time to support movements like Local Futures (http://www.localfutures.org).

  19. Donna Marquart says:

BRAVO!!! Thank you for your on-spot reporting – once again. I tell anyone who will listen that what you say cuts right to the center of the real news.

  20. Carl Treece says:

I support president Trump. I just think that there could be a better way to express the ills of society. The problems of some Republicans and Democrats is that they have constipation of ideas and diarrhea of the mouth. Some are just dumb heads. Some people are just jealous that he has attained all that he has. If and when we pass the 50% mark of people with their hand out it will be impossible to reverse the country. I also worry that we have to be vigilant to place people who can run the Country that aren’t self serving.

  21. Erika says:

I found it interesting that calling somewhere a “sh^thole” is a “racist” comment,

Apparently any criticism or insult directed at any non-Caucasian individual is “racist”.
    Interesting how that works.

Last year i i found myself getting annoyed by the Press’s lack of clarity in conflating bigotry and racism.
This year the lack of clarity has mushroomed into some kind of incoherent nuclear option..
    Blah go figure.

    • cosimo100 says:

Fact is the media is dead and doesn’t know it. They continue with – “But the emperor is dressed…”. Well he isn’t and they are so shocked by Trump stating that he isn’t plainly that they are dumbfounded and must resort to the old failed logic thing – when your argument falls apart attack the person. No body cares what an actor or a newspaper hack thinks. They thing that trying to change the world garbage is the correct approach. The blinders have slipped and they can’t see a thing. Good on Trump. I hope his security is the best ever because the longer he speaks the truth the less the opposition has to work with.

  23. Kieron says:

“You’re not reading tweets from liberals who are triggered by Trump.” I didn’t like Obama, and don’t like Trump either (in complete disclosure) but please, Jon, let’s be fair. Plenty of conservatives were (and still are) triggered by Obama, and complained bitterly for 8 years (and still are complaining), and we all know it. Somehow, though, it’s precious and hypocritical for liberals to complain about Trump? Well, what do you expect? This is how the country is nowadays. I’m fed up with both sides’ hypocrisy.

But hey, it’s your blog. You can say whatever you like, but we all know the rot is systemic, and no one side has a corner on righteousness. To pretend otherwise is disingenuous and dishonest.

We will never get anywhere when perfectly good words can’t be used because no one wants to face the real truth.

Nobody who should be reading this article is reading it. I told you Trump did not say “sh*thole.” Although I’d agree with him if he did:

  28. Alok Bhattacharyya says:

A person’s inner feelings are exposed more by his/her casual remarks than by carefully constructed comments. Mr Trump’s calling some countries by a bad name should enrage any sensible person. Whether Mr Obama or any other leaders called other countries and/or people of other religions by bad names should not be brought up as an excuse. A country surely should be able to determine who it would let in as an immigrant. But, that should be done case by case on individual basis. No country or group of people should ever be despised.

Just give me back what was taken from me. My dignity, my right to feed myself and my family. Leave us alone….don’t wave money at my leaders and make promises you know you can’t keep. LEAVE ME ALONE.

  33. From Quebec says:

    Excerpts:

Sen. David Perdue of Georgia, a close ally of the president, told ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos on “This Week” Sunday that reports have misrepresented the president’s comments during a meeting on immigration on Thursday.

“I’m telling you he did not use that word, George,” said Perdue, who was among the senators at the meeting with Trump. “And I’m telling you it’s a gross misrepresentation.”

Stephanopoulos pressed Perdue, saying that multiple sources have confirmed the president’s language, of whom the most outspoken has been Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Illinois.

“Multiple sources? There were six of us in the room,” Perdue responded to Stephanopoulos. “I haven’t heard any of those six sources other than Senator Durbin talk about what was said.”

  35. Linda Goodman says:

Mr. Rappoport.. So powerful and true, except that you falsely grouped President Trump in with the ruthless globalists. “Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton; it doesn’t matter. None of them have done anything to help raise up your people.” Not so! This is not ‘meet the new boss, same as the old boss.’

President Trump’s ‘black hat’ enemies are responsible for the suffering you correctly describe, and they’re trying to stop him from changing the world, starting with America. Yet you entirely overlook that crucial fact. And as a businessman he absolutely helped, for example financing the restoration of eyesight to many Haitians. And many other examples aren’t public. Because he is not ruthless. He’s a caring, profound departure from the ‘norm’. An you do him and all of us a terrible disservice by misrepresenting him. And it’s made worse because most of what you write is so painfully true.

It seems you’ve stubbornly retained a bias against President Trump, since you’ve taken a negative view of him since he announced his candidacy, and presumably before that. And as long as you hold that narrow, negative view, you’re not coming entirely from truth. So I believe your brilliance will fall short of helping to change the world. You’ll only put doubt in some minds about President Trump.

    • truth1 says:

Ms. Goodman, the old & tied mantra of two opposing sides is just so naive. If not for all time, at least since about 400 AD when some Romans left Rome and founded Venice, we have had financiers playing one side against another. Venice did it for a very long time. Venice used Arabs and Muslims to defeat Byzantium, so that Venice could profit more While Europe and Christianity declined more. Financiers serve themselves at the expense of “the expendable” who vary according to the wants and desires of the Financiers and their pooled accumulated capital. All politicians on both sides, are owned by the same financiers. Anyone who is truly awake is well aware of this. This is why I have always been against war, because I detest young men and innocent conquered civilians dying for no good cause, except that some want to get richer with phony wars.

I know this concept is hard for almost anyone to accept, but dying for nothing is no laughing matter. It is very serious. And my opinion is that Trump will prove to be a War Monger and I am grieved that this will be the case. Many more millions will die. We might even reach a billion or more. Its going to be nasty. And its going to be, because most remain blind to truth.

  37. Brian McGinley says:

While much of this is obvious and correct, the majority of the reason shitholes are thus, is because post colonial era, they embraced socialism and communism which eventually led to dictatorships. Not all corporations are bad or lead to bad results when in other countries. Not all aid is bad….but in general, as Dambisa Moyo says: Stop Sending Aid to Africa…it mostly supports dictators.
