Occasionally, I reprint this article. I wrote it some years ago, during research on toxic chemicals pervading the landscape. I used to send the piece to mainstream reporters, but I eventually gave that up as a bad bet.
They’re dedicated to fake news…and now they’re losing control over public consciousness. Losing badly. Independent media are in the ascendance, and rightly so.
In 1997, Joel Griffiths and Chris Bryson, two respected mainstream journalists, peered into an abyss. They found a story about fluorides that was so chilling it had to be told.
The Christian Science Monitor, who had assigned the story, never published it.
Their ensuing article, “Fluoride, Teeth, and the Atomic Bomb,” has been posted on websites, sometimes with distortions, deletions, or additions. I spoke with Griffiths, and he told me to be careful I was reading a correct copy of his piece. (You can find it—“Fluoride, Teeth, and the Atomic Bomb,” at fluoridealert.org.)
Griffiths also told me that researchers who study the effects of fluorides by homing in on communities with fluoridated drinking water, versus communities with unfluoridated water, miss a major point: studying the water is not enough; toxic fluorides are everywhere—they are used throughout the pharmaceutical industry in the manufacture of drugs, and also in many other industries (e.g., aluminum, pesticide).
I want to go over some of the major points of the Griffiths-Bryson article.
Griffiths discovered hundreds of documents from the World War 2 era. These included papers from the Manhattan Project, launched to build the first A-bomb.
Griffiths/Bryson write: “Fluoride was the key chemical in atomic bomb production…millions of tons…were essential for the manufacture of bomb-grade uranium and plutonium for nuclear weapons throughout the Cold War.”
The documents reveal that fluoride was the most significant health hazard in the US A-bomb program, for workers and for communities around the manufacturing facilities.
Griffiths/Bryson: “Much of the original proof that fluoride is safe for humans in low doses was generated by A-bomb program scientists, who had been secretly ordered to provide ‘evidence useful in litigation’ [against persons who had been poisoned by fluoride and would sue for damages]… The first lawsuits against the US A-bomb program were not over radiation, but over fluoride damage, the [government] documents show.”
A-bomb scientists were told they had to do studies which would conclude that fluorides were safe.
The most wide-reaching study done was carried out in Newburgh, New York, between 1945 and 1956. This was a secret op called “Program F.” The researchers obtained blood and tissue samples from people who lived in Newburgh, through the good offices of the NY State Health Department.
Griffiths/Bryson found the original and secret version of this study. Comparing it to a different sanitized version, the reporters saw that evidence of adverse effects from fluorides had been suppressed by the US Atomic Energy Commission.
Other studies during the same period were conducted at the University of Rochester. Unwitting hospital patients were given fluorides to test out the results.
Flash forward. Enter Dr. Phyllis Mullenix (see also here), the head of toxicology at Forsyth Dental Center in Boston. In the 1990s, Mullenix did a series of animal studies which showed that, as Griffiths/Bryson write: “…fluoride was a powerful central nervous system (CNS) toxin…”
Mullenix applied for further grant monies from the National Institutes of Health. She was turned down. She was also told that fluorides do not have an effect on the CNS.
But Griffiths/Bryson uncovered a 1944 Manhattan Project memo which states: “Clinical evidence suggests that uranium hexafluoride may have a rather marked central nervous system effect…it seems most likely that the F [fluoride] component rather than the [uranium] is the causative factor.”
The 1944 memo was sent to the head of the Manhattan Project Medical Section, Colonel Stafford Warren. Warren was asked to give his okay to do animal studies on fluorides’ effects on the CNS. He immediately did give his approval.
But records of the results of this approved project are missing. Most likely classified.
Who was the man who made that 1944 proposal for a rush-program to study the CNS effects of fluorides? Dr. Harold Hodge, who worked at the Manhattan Project.
Who was brought in to advise Mullenix 50 years later at the Forsyth Dental Center in Boston, as she studied the CNS effects of fluorides? Dr. Harold Hodge.
Who never told Mullenix of his work on fluoride toxicity for the Manhattan Project? Dr. Harold Hodge.
Was Hodge brought in to look over Mullenix’s shoulder and report on her discoveries? It turns out that Hodge, back in the 1940s, had made suggestions to do effective PR promoting fluoride as a dental treatment. So his presence by Mullenix’s side, all those years later, was quite possibly as an agent assigned to keep track of her efforts.
Getting the idea here? Build an A-bomb. Forget the toxic fluoride consequences. Bury the fluoride studies. Twist the studies.
More on Hodge. In 1944, “a severe pollution incident” occurred in New Jersey, near the Du Pont plant in Deepwater where the company was trying to build the first A-bomb. A fluoride incident. Farmers’ peach and tomato crops were destroyed. Horses and cows became crippled. Some cows had to graze on their bellies. Tomato crops (normally sold to the Campbell company for soups) were contaminated with fluorides.
The people of the Manhattan Project were terrified of lawsuits and ensuing revelations about the toxic nature of their work. A heads-up memo was written on the subject. Its author? Harold Hodge. Among other issues, he reported on the huge fluoride content in vegetables growing in the polluted area.
Also the high fluoride levels in human blood.
The farmers began to bring lawsuits. Big PR problem.
The lawsuits were settled quietly, for pittances.
Harold Hodge wrote another memo. Get this quote: “Would there be any use in making attempts to counteract the local fear of fluoride on the part of residents [near the A-bomb facility]…through lectures on F [fluoride] toxicology and perhaps the usefulness of F in tooth health?”
Griffiths/Bryson write: “Such lectures were indeed given, not only to New Jersey citizens but to the rest of the nation throughout the Cold War.”
This was a launching pad for fluorides as “successful dental treatments.”
Now you know why promoting toxic fluorides as a dental treatment was so important to government officials.
Footnote: In Stanley Kubrick’s 1964 film, Dr. Strangelove, Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper rails about the destruction fluorides are wreaking on the “pure blood of pure Americans.” Of course, General Ripper is fleshed out as a crazy right-wing fanatic. He’s ready and willing to start a nuclear war. How odd. Apparently unknown to the Strangelove script writers, fluorides were, in fact, very toxic and were an integral part of the program that created atomic bombs in the first place.

Most importantly, in my view, is that fluoride calcifies the pineal gland. This from Dr. Russell Blaylock, a ret. neurosurgeon who writes The Blaylock Wellness Report. The pineal gland activates one’s third eye. Or not.
You know the Hippocratic oath that M.D.s take, “First do no harm” ? Well medical doctors do a LOT of harm. Most don’t know and don’t care what they’re doing. I remember, for instance, some years back when I went to 3 different doctors, seeking a 2nd and 3rd opinion. All three pushed me to get a tetanus shot. Had I any problem even distantly related to tetanus? Nosiree. “How long since you’ve had a tetanus shot?” was the standard question. “Thirty years.” “Well don’t you think it’s time you got one?” each of these quacks asked. “Nope,” I answered. But I was alarmed. They were plainly told to push tetanus vaccine. For what reason? Really, I’d almost prefer a witch doctor to an MD these days, surgeons excepted.

I agree, It’s all about pushing their drugs and keep you coming back to make sure your levels are in the range. In 2005 I woke up one morning and could not raise either foot more than a couple of inches. I went to dr after dr. to find out what the problem was. I cannot even tell you how many tests I had. I saw a neurologist, a rheumatologist and both gave me prescriptions but could not tell me what the problem was. Went to a family dr and he ordered blood work Also ordered a stress test, told me my cholesterol was too high and gave me a prescription for lipitor. And the migraines started. I began with 10 mg and within 5 years was up to 80mg and the headaches got worse and worse until one night I ended up in the ER with one so bad I could not stop vomiting from the pain. At that point I had a script for the migraines which did absolutely nothing and had hypothyroidism with a script for that. After the ER visit I decided to stop the lipitor and the headaches subsided. I have since learned that migraines and hypothyroidism are possible side effects of the lipitor. I had been to 3 doctors including my internist regarding the headaches and none could tell me it might be the lipitor. When I went to her for my 6 month appt I told her I had stopped taking the lipitor and the headaches started going away. She said “I never would have guessed it was the lipitor.” Seriously – Guessed. The ENT I went to wanted me to take a boatload of tests to determine the cause. I believe my main problem was the fact that I had excellent health insurance and they knew they could milk it. And the main problem from 2005- Stress from my job. It all went away less than 2 months after I left. My boss was a witch.I never had so much stress from anything in my life.
My God, Mary Richter, what a nightmarish scenario. Thankfully you emerged okay. But I’ll tell you, I’ve sworn off doctors (unless something serious sets in and I might need morphine or something). In all honesty: know how many prescription drugs I take? None. i’m seventy years old, have never gotten vaccinated since I quit flying in 1978; so right, I take zero drugs, look 25 years younger than my age without any injections, I believe because I follow an holistic regimen. Am taking so many supplements I could open a health food store out of my house. But you know what? I’m as healthy as they come and feel cheerful every day of my life.

Former FDA Commissioner Charged in RICO Lawsuit
A Federal Lawsuit charges Dr. Margaret Hamburg, former Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) with conspiracy, racketeering & colluding to conceal deadly drug dangers – under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations law (RICO) law. The amended RICO lawsuit was filed on April 11, 2016 in the U.S. District Court in Washington DC on behalf of eight plaintiffs who claim they have suffered severe harm by ingesting the drug, Levaquin whose deadly risks were concealed to protect financial interests.
The drug is one of the controversial group of antibiotics, including Levaquin, Cipro, Avelox and other fluoroquinolones. Public Citizen petitioned the FDA in 1996 and again in 2006, to issue Black Box warnings for tendon rupture and tendinitis. Had warnings been issued, the death toll from Levaquin– reputedly more than 5,000 — and the tens of thousands who were debilitated with life-threatening diseases would likely have been averted. The suit, filed by Larry Klayman, a former federal prosecutor, charges Dr. Hamburg, her husband, Peter Brown, an executive in the hedge-fund Renaissance Technologies, with collusion, conspiracy and racketeering alongside the pharmaceutical giant, Johnson & Johnson to conceal those deadly risks — to protect their financial stake.
“While Defendant Hamburg was FDA Commissioner, her husband, Defendant Brown’s annual income, not coincidentally, increased from a reported $10 million in 2008 to an estimated $125 million in 2011 and an estimated $90 million in 2012, due in whole or in part to Defendants’ racketeering conspiracy to withhold information about the devastating, life threatening, and deadly effects of Levaquin.”
This lawsuit is unusual; it shines a light on blatant political corruption — the purchase of powerful executive posts.
In 2009, President Barak Obama nominated Dr. Margaret Hamburg for Commissioner of the FDA as a political appointee. The suit alleges that Dr. Hamburg and her husband had made large donations to Hillary Clinton’s campaigns, and to the Clinton Foundation. And that they “gave political contributions and gratuities to President Obama to induce him to nominate her to be appointed as FDA Commissioner.”
“Dr. Margaret A. Hamburg was nominated as a result of huge political and other gratuities to Hillary Clinton and The Clinton Foundation, and at Mrs. Clinton’s recommendation.”
The suit further charges that “During the confirmation process before Congress, Dr. Margaret A. Hamburg, acting in concert with her husband, Peter F. Brown, at all material times the Co-CEO of a hedge fund named Renaissance Technologies, L.L.C., failed to disclose to Congress and other relevant authorities, her and her husband’s clear-cut conflict of interest –specifically, that Renaissance Technologies, L.L.C. held hundreds of millions of dollars of Johnson & Johnson stock, the manufacturer of the deadly drug, Levaquin.”
I can understand the lipitor causing the headaches. What “cured” the inability to raise the feet?
Actually, the phrase “first do no harm” is nowhere in the Hippocratic oath. It may be a very gross interpretation of the original Greek oath, but the modern version of the oath definitely doesn’t say that, even by interpretation. Some may call it a myth. According to Johns Hopkins University it comes from the series of books known as the History of Epidemics, authored principally by Hippocrates which is part of the ancient Greek collection of medical works written at the time called the Hippocratic Corpus. Like the Bible, it is thought to have multiple authors.
Wow. So does that means the Allopaths were never ever on the hook to ‘do no harm’?
Well Mike, isn’t that something! You appear to know what you’re talking about, so do quote to me what the Hippocratic oath DOES say with regard to physicians attempting to do no harm. I’m quite sure that Kubrick, who worked closely with NASA and showed himself to be a man with inside knowledge in Eyes Wide Shut, a Clockwork Orange, and numerous other films, was aware that fluoride was harmful. Dr. Strangelove, while seeming to be a satiric takedown of the Military Industrial Intelligence Complex, contained a lot of subtle Deep State propaganda, as did 2001, A Clockwork Orange, and other Kubrick films. Hollywood has always been a Deep State propaganda arm.

In case anyone wonders why fluoride was used to produce the atomic bombs, it was because it was necessary to separate the uranium isotopes. Radioactive uranium isotopes are so similar to nonradioactive uranium than there is no chemical way to separate them; they differ only by a few neutrons, which doesn’t effect their chemical properties. One of the only ways to separate them is by using their difference in mass.
Each uranium atom is suspended in its gaseous state by surrounding it with six fluoride atoms. The mixture is then separated because the heavier radioactive uranium sinks.
I also think that one the only reasons why it is used in pharmaceuticals is because it’s an easy way to create a novel compound that can patented. It also can act as a blocking agent during chemical synthesis; it can help to withdraw electrons making neighboring atoms more electropositive. The reasons why it’s in pharmaceuticals may not necessarily be nefarious, although there is no good reason for it to be in drinking water. Even their ‘good for teeth’ excuse has numerous flaws considering that tapwater is ingested. It would be much more economical (assuming it’s good for teeth; it’s not really) for them to sell mouthwash with the fluoride ion. This would use less fluoride and would obviate the necessity of the expensive fluoridation process. Tanks of sodium fluoride are shipped across the country to nearly every city water authority.
There is a Journal Fluoride for those interested in reading about the toxicology of fluorides. Many animal studies have been done. Fluoride is the most electronegative element and can be rightly considered the most reactive element that is not a radical. Fluoride, like lead, sticks to the bones and incapacitates enzymes.
This is an index. Simply copy-paste the desired edition to search for any particular issue. The toxicity of this fluorides is well-documented and the best antidote is boron. Boron has a high affinity for fluoride and can help in reducing it’s toxicity. If one must drink fluoridated water, I would recommend ingesting boron. There has been numerous animal studies confirming this…
My little brother was born in 1955 and had pyloric stenosis. He vomited a lot and had surgery for the problem. When his teeth started coming in it was noticed that he had little to no enamel on them. He was given a prescription for flouride which he was given every day for many years. At 48 he died of colon cancer. I cannot help but wonder if the flouride pills he was given all those years caused the cancer.
Fluoridealert.org discovered the Harvard study that showed that little boys exposed to large amounts of fluoride between the ages of 8-11 were 8 times more likely to get osteosarcoma. A friend lived down wind of the phosphate fertilizer industry & his only son died from this.
I have a relative who is a older dentist and fluoride “brainwashee”. No amount of evidence will ever convince him of the negative effects of fluoride on humans: too much ego and money at stake…
Dr. Strangelove was released a couple months before a film that had an almost identical plot yet it was rendered seriously as anti-war and anti-nuke. It was “Fail Safe” starring Henry Fonda as the president and Walter Mathau as (I believe Herman Kahn) from ze Bland..er.. Rand Corporation.
It is my hypothesis that Dr Strangelove was put into motion as soon as Fail safe was green lighted. It was funny, entertaining and totally stole the political effect that Fail Safe might have had. No one went to see that film as they had just seen a film with the same plot and Fail Safe was a bummer to watch.
This is not hard to believe given the controversies over the career of Kubrick and his obvious connections.
I cannot prove it but it makes perfect sense in hind sight so until it is disproved..
I came from a family of dentists, the previous generation of which handled and pressed mercury into the heads of hundreds of folks. He was a nut..probably poisoned by handling that stuff. Later on after he lost coordination in his hands (possibly by lunch breaks with the nitrous oxide), he went on to push Fluoridation through the health department.
Bryson’s book is un-refutable and probably exactly the case.
Do you remember Joe Vials and his research into lung cancer from tobacco? The nuclear and aluminum industries used lots of fluorine in their processes. They had a legal and public relations problem with fluorine poisoning hence the big push by the ADA for water fluoridation and a big public relations push to popularize it as “safe and effective” thereby fouling any potential jury in civil cases against Big Nuke and Big metal. Oh, back to the tobacco, Joe had the hypothesis that since the uranium mine tailings ( ore that was not hot enough to refine ) was used as fertilizer for the local tobacco fields, the plants were taking up alpha emitters which would eventually find their way into the lungs of smokers and form tumors. Tobacco has not until the cold war been known to cause cancer. Sounds reasonable to me. Last time I looked for Vial’s work on the net, it was gone or unlisted.

It’s not surprising that the same people who concocted the Atomic Bomb hoax, also came up with the Fluoride hoax.
And no, there aren’t any nuclear bombs, since ‘scientists’ have never been able to slam two chunks of enriched uranium or plutonium together and cause a ‘critical mass’ explosion.

I’m also in the Nukes were likely a hoax camp. All of the test footage seems to be bad 1950’s special effects, likely produced at the Lookout Mountain Observatory Studio, the CIA’s very own movie studio, which likely had a hand in some of NASA’s shenanigans. The Cold War seems to have been a situation where both the US and USSR were running fake space and nuke programs, while using the hope and fear produced to manipulate their own citizenry. Both sides likely knew the game, but didn’t call each other’s bluff because of the propaganda value. Alternatively, the NWO might already have been achieved, and the Cold War might have been one long psyop run by the banksters who funded both sides, as well as the Deep State intelligence services which serve them.
How do you explain the thousands of people who died from radiation poisoning?
It is common knowledge that 1945 central Hiroshima and Nagasaki was 95% wooden/paper houses for housing and simple stores/shops while only 5% of the buildings were concrete buildings, including banks, insurance companies, trading companies offices, etc. And all had quite bad fire protection.
All, wooden/paper buildings housing mostly poor people were simply burnt down by napalm carpet bombing (exactly like Tokyo March and Yokohama May 1945.
Napalm causes severe burns, as seen in Vietnam.
There weren’t any radiation burns in Hiroshima or Nagasaki.
The a-bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were thus just propaganda 1945 to end WW2 in Japan and to impress the USSR. Fooled the world then as there was no free press around. Only censorship.
No free press was allowed in Japan once the US took over.
Only fake news was created for public consumption, much like some of the MSM today.
To keep the hoax going two a-bomb museums were quickly built at Hiroshima and Nagasaki for school children to be fooled by.
Another a-bomb museum is in Albuquerque, New Mexico, paid for by the US government that started the hoax and keeps it going.

So the Japanese have Fukishima reactor closed off; are pouring tons of concrete where the accident happened; and are battling highly increased cancer rates in the Fukishima area and not in CA area? They are doing all this work for fun?

Marilyn, Sorry. The original thread was arguing the point that the atomic bomb was not atomic in Japan and did not cause radiation damage. I can believe Halliburton is dumping stuff in the Pacific. I thought you were saying that Halliburton’s dumping was the cause of the Fukishima incident.
