To the people of Europe who still believe in freedom
by Jon Rappoport

You can say all you want to about the history of Europe, but you also have to say that Europe was the cradle of liberty for the whole world.
The main struggle was held there. And finally, the clear idea of individual freedom emerged.
Then, gradually, in the wake of two World Wars, a new theme took hold. You could call it comfort, or security, peace for all, share and care, the good life.
Under a dominating tax rate, citizens had “services” provided by their governments. Many pleasant services.
Why not? All was well.
Even when these governments were placed under the umbrella of the European Union, most citizens of member countries perceived no real problems—as long as the services continued to flow.
But there was an addendum to the basic contract. The national governments, and their superiors at the EU…they were the Providers, and they could, at their whim, turn the screw and apply new oppressive rules to the citizenry. And they could, if resistance appeared, drop their pose of benevolence and take on the role of Enforcer.
And if they did, where would liberty and individual freedom go?
It would go away.
Escalating floods of migrants entered Europe. This was a turning of the screw. Brought about by “upper management” of the Providers. The crimes and disruptions of these migrants have been well documented in independent media. The people of Europe had no say about the invasion. In fact, it soon became a prosecutable offense to write about it or speak about it in a public forum.
The lords of government would brook no opposition.
The basic liberty—speaking freely—was on the line and under the boot heel.
In fact, for years, a campaign of political correctness in speech had been waged all over Europe. It covered many areas. The EU had been aiding and abetting it.
The “good life” was cracking at the seams. It wasn’t all good anymore.
The Provider was becoming the Enforcer.
Looking back on the change, it was always obvious that it was waiting in the wings. The Providers weren’t messiahs of a socialist utopia. That pretense was merely an intermediate phase in a much larger operation.
Mollify the citizenry for a time, “give them services,” and then when they were lulled into complacency, when they felt safe and secure, when they’d traded liberty for something that looks like liberty, start the chaos.
And clamp down. Assert overt control.
The EU structure was never extreme enough for the overlords. After all, it was a confederation of separate nations. The covert operation was One Nation of Europe, drained of separate traditions, with all former, distinguishing, national characteristics removed. The goal was one continental entity, seeded with enough migrants to eliminate visible differences, and roiled in conflicts.
To make a stew, heat and stir.
Eventually, eliminate the memory that, at one time, individual freedom was birthed in those countries. And one step further: eliminate the knowledge of what individual freedom is.
Bring in immigrants from cultures where authentic freedom, with its attendant responsibilities, means nothing.
The operation is well underway.
The lords of government never wanted utopia. They wanted, and want, submission. They achieved the soft version. Now they’re aiming for the hard.
This is modern European history not taught in schools. Schools would ban even a hint of it.
So the struggle begins again.
It has many faces—some of them ideological, which is to say, embedded in groups for whom national and ethnic identity is the foremost concern.
How long will it take before The Individual, defined by HIS OWN choice and vision, APART FROM SUCH IDENTITY, reemerges?
That was the original battle of the ages: the liberation of each individual.
It wasn’t easy then, and it won’t be easy now.
But it begins in the mind.
And not the group mind.
Not in any group.
In 1859, John Stuart Mill wrote:
“If it were felt that the free development of individuality is one of the leading essentials of well-being…there would be no danger that liberty should be undervalued.”
Escaping from, and dissolving the trap that is now Europe may be the work of cooperating groups; but the reason for the escape will ultimately come back to the individual, his power, and his independent self-chosen destiny.
He carries the torch.
Though it may not seem so, his flame vaporizes collectivism.
It was always so, and it is now.
Europe’s great thinkers and writers were the very people who made this clear: freedom exists and it pertains to the individual, not the group, not some shadowy entity, not a collective; freedom is not simply a word or a floating ideal waving its banner in the air; it is the soul’s platform, from which all good things become possible; it is the starting point of a life; it is the blood that runs through a dream of a created future, a better future; it is the brother of the individual’s accountability for his own actions.
Throw a blanket over freedom, and no one is accountable.
This is why so many people now deny freedom. They want to remain unaccountable.
They want everything for nothing, and they want the right to spend that everything, or burn it, tear it up, destroy it. And then ask for more.
For them, the countries of Europe are just places. Easy places to exploit.

But no matter the circumstances, the inner core of the struggle is the same: the liberation of the individual from all the forlorn hopes that lead him back to searching for the utopia he once believed was coming.
That painted illusion is going away.
The individual, falling back on his own resources, will need to relearn half-forgotten lessons. He will have to ignite his own energy.
The challenge can be bracing, and much more. It can awaken sleeping corridors of the spirit, where he once walked in power.
And can walk again.
Profound dissatisfaction and resistance can breed joy.
Once upon a time, he knew that, and then he abandoned the knowledge for a syrupy potion of a New Age; now the bottle is dry.
Now, he is the creator of his own enterprises; his own destiny.
I say Europe will live again.

Congratulations, Jon! I fully agree with your perfect analysis:
Throw a blanket over freedom, and no one is accountable. This is why so many people now deny freedom. They want to remain unaccountable. They want everything for nothing, and they want the right to spend that everything, or burn it, tear it up, destroy it. And then ask for more.
Let me add something from the Czech experiences with the own history: The first 300 years with an oppressed freedom are the worst to survive…
Maybe the present acceleration of natural forces activities will help to accelerate the further development in a correct way.
As all people are united in talking and writing and doing nothing for themselves /important/ it is easy to blanket them completely, as it is the first thing/an idea any ruler can get…

Thank you, Jon, for an excellent analysis of the fragile history of human freedom and enduring human slavery to fear. I personally know two talented European geoethicists who are deeply concerned that Earth and planetary sciences have been misused as tools of oppression. I believe this was driven by fear of worldwide nuclear annihilation after the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 & 9 AUG 1945.
Humanity observed the power of the Creator, Destroyer and Sustainer of atoms, lives and planets. Stalin offered surviving world leaders a strong logical and emotional reason to abandon freedom by uniting nations on 24 OCT 1945: BETTER RED THAN DEAD.
1. The rational, logical, scientific (Dr. Jekyll) part of the human mind is better able to perceive our good fortune:
_ a.) We were endowed by our creator with inalienable rights to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
_ b.) Human life had the good fortune to evolve on a water-covered planet 1 AU (astronomical unit) away from an abundant source of energy that made the chemical elements, birthed the solar system 5 Ga ago, sustained the origin and evolution of life on Earth after ~3.8 Ga ago and still holds every atom life and planet in the solar system in continuous vibration today.
2. The fear-driven (Mr. Hyde) core of the human mind is better able to perceive threats to our survival and usually ranks survival ahead of any other goal.
_ a.) Totalitarian authorities enslaved humanity by controlling access to necessities for life.
_ b.) Pavlov’s studies confirmed that the desire for food can control the behavior of dogs.
The human ego may be unable to withstand knowledge of the force that creates, sustains and destroyes atoms, lives and planets in the solar system: The Sun’s pulsar core may be like the fictional tree planted in the center of the Garden of Eden
Great read, Jon. Thank you.
Inspired by your blog and others, I decided to create my own blog as well to spread the message you write about in this article to my fellow Dutchmen.
Europe will live again indeed.
Great post, a very clear vision of the situation. Thanks Jon!
This is specific to European readers & citizens. It is easy to extrapolate to fit AL.ist every nation on the planet.
Another chilli g & yet enlightening publication. Thank you Jon.
1. Jon, watch out or “they” will come and get you to treat the obvious chemical imbalance in your brain that is the cause of your insanity.
2. Many poetic lines in this post. A couple of my favorites:
a. He carries the torch.
Though it may not seem so,
his flame vaporizes collectivism.
b. Freedom exists and it pertains to the individual,
not the group, not some shadowy entity, not a collective;
freedom is not simply a word or
a floating ideal waving its banner in the air;
it is the soul’s platform,
from which all good things become possible;
it is the starting point of a life;
it is the blood that runs through a dream
of a created future, a better future;
it is the brother of the individual’s
accountability for his own actions.
3. This article reminds me of another country with a similar open door immigration policy especially pertaining to its southern border. Can’t quite remember the name of this grandiose utopia/cornucopia of plenty, but I think it begins with the letter “U” … United somethings of someplace. Perhaps some other reader can help me recall the name.
Chas – Jon’s Freedom quote in your section (b) is indeed most excellent. I am happy to repost it with big credit to Jon.
Last night, I watched an amazing Alex Jones interview with Alaksandr Dugin, one of Putin’s top advisors, a brilliant philosopher and political scientist. (Don’t even think you will get a straight answer or reliable source websites for him using Google, and his site is marked as “unsafe”!)
They were discussing how it has been the globalists who have controlled all of Western cultures, turning Russians into “Communists,” and doing the same thing with the United States in stealth mode. It was amazing to hear that Putin and Russia have been leading the way in this “populist” revolution against the globalists for the past 10 years and are winning the battle, and that once Trump won the election because of an American voter revolt, the Russians were applauding us! Dugin even said that the Russians do not hate Americans…it was only the “globalist America” that they feared and hated.
Most amazing of all was to hear them discuss that the awakening of masses of individuals has now led to the defeat of globalism, and that it only remains to be seen how hard the globalists will continue to fight for control in more extreme ways. My heart believes this is true, and I will continue looking for evidence that this is true!
Not so fast!
“Europe was the cradle of liberty for the whole world.”
At the most “Europe was the cradle of the illusion of liberty for the whole world.”
Do not forget that the secular ruling Families are all from this geographic area!
So we (I don’t consider myself a “European”, I only live in the region known as “Europe”!) are living for centuries under the Rules & Orders that these Families dictate.
They’ve come up with a very good system: “democracy” fueled by “capitalism”!
And these systems makes the dumb slaves believe that they “control” something, and be someone!
And don’t forget: For the secular ruling Families the North America territories are still a mere colony.
Freedom can come live only in the hearts and minds of individuals, and many individuals came to America because they had that spirit within, and were willing to leave their homeland to see it realized. Freedom is not born of a system.
Hello Greg!
If it resides in the “hearts and minds” I don’t understand why is there a need to move from place A to B!
Because freedom wants to be actualized, fulfilled. Freedom wants to move from A to B – that’s what it’s for, not to just sit in one place and contemplate it.
The animal wants to move from A to B to “actualize” freedom!
I’m guessing we aren’t talking about Freedom…
be cool
Huh?
Humans were endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and . . .
their Creator, a pulsar at the core of the Sun with a 40-minute heartbeat, holds every atom, life and planet in the solar system in continuous vibration, as reported . . .
in a paper published in the Proceedings of the IEEE, 95 (5), 1085-1132 (2007): The whole Earth “Moves (vibrates) to the rhythm of the Sun,”

Nice article.
As usual, a very perceptive article by Jon. It’s really a pity that this world has been enslaved like this. Think what heights this world would have attained without all these diabolical schemes to keep us down.
And the one, underlying reason for this demise can be summed up in one simple sentence from General George Patton; “We fought the wrong side in that war.”
Where are the hundreds of thousands of selfless, fanatical warriors from thirty different nations who joined the Waffen SS to protect their families and nations from the scourge of Jewish/Bolshevik Marxism? Is it not now Cultural Marxism that reigns because “we” enabled it?
there will never be any peace anywhere until the Pre-Trianon borders are restored
Interesting. Thanks for the tip.

Dear All,
Be happy with the existing borders and with the still existing at least formal peace.
The surface of our planet will never return back to repeat some previous positions and in the same way the history of the human kind does not know any anticlockwise movement.
Right, we never return to where we came from, because we are too stubborn to ever admit that we made a wrong turn. Onward!
The probability that some individuals or collective bodies will admit to have made a wrong turn might be around 0.0001%, whereas the probability they will be FORCED to do it will be around 99.9999%, anyhow with an unpredictable time delay. In this time interval the know how of the society will reach higher levels what makes impossible any return to the same point. Example from recent times: IPCC in a blind alley vs. new facts about positive effects of CO2, new warnings from Oliver K. Manuel, new facts known about the psychic and physical health of people caused by the Sun and other bodies of the Universe.
And there you have it. And stated with such authority, calculated to the nearest .0001%. Amazing.
A culture that won’t protect women and children, even from rape? A disarmed citizenry? Already gone!
Excellent – again!!
Nailed it – Again!!
Watch your back, front, side, and all around.
Blessings.
Apparently it has spread here in torrents. The U.S. President cannot even institute a temporary halt to immigration without our shadow government (no doubt influenced by all that middle-eastern money) interfering.
I feel your focus needs to be on the struggle for power embroiled in what is generally called the “Dark Ages” (rampant censorship), Jon.
Liberty was lost after Magna Carta and its ratification by the bloody Westminster System of London. that’s why “explorers” could routinely pillage and plunder (stake their claims).

What makes you think there is freedom in amerikkka? We will only find freedom when we realize all governments are evil and not needed. Anarchism is the only way
