The EU and its associated financial institutions were built on the premise that no one would escape. That’s the long and short of it.
But of course, nations could get out if they decided to.
Which is what just happened in Britain.
And now that it has, elites and their fear-mongering press outlets are moaning and shouting and whining: “You fools, do you have any idea what you’ve just done? You’ve thrown a wrench into the structure. Are you crazy?”
Translation: “We’re in charge. We’re the lords in the castles. You’re the peasants in the fields.”
Of course, all along, the cover story has been: the EU is a step toward paradise; it bestows grace and beauty on humanity; it erases ugly borders; it makes people One; it fosters share and care; it smooths out conflicts; it makes us brothers and sisters.
Sure it does. That’s what all huge faceless bureaucracies accomplish.
When they’re exposed, all that fake goodness suddenly goes away. They spew hate. And they scream in anguish.
What’s occurring at the moment is very much like an old horror movie, where the humanoid villain is backed up against the wall, and someone tears his face away and exposes…machinery. Nothing but little wheels and cogs and wires and tubes. The truth is out.
What a monstrous joke it is that the young, in Britain, voted to remain in the EU. The EU is a right arm of Globalist forces. The same young people yammer and protest against Globalism, but because they’re absolutely clueless, they want to stay in the EU. The young: turned into hypnotic products of the education system.
There was a day, not so long ago, when the phrase “decentralization of power” meant something. It’s not used anymore. The press has it on their no-fly list.
Governments, major media, large foundations have worked the phrase out of existence. Instead, they’ve helped create every kind of special interest group under the sun—they’ve taken people who might actually want decentralization and shoved them into various groups, according to gender, race, religion, needs, and so on…and promised them “equality” and special help…as long as they go along with big government…thereby strengthening Control Central.
(And they’ve taken people who already want decentralization and propagandized them as outliers, criminals, psychiatric patients, terrorists, and racists.)
That’s the psyop game.
“We’re talking to you helpless masses now. You might want to decentralize government power? No, no, no, no. You’re looking at things the wrong way. First of all, who are you? What’s your religion, race, gender, disability? We have the right group for you. You can achieve all your aims that way, because we help groups. You see? We’re on your side. We, the government, are rebels, too. But we need our power to make change happen. Revolutionary change. Don’t rebel against us. Don’t try to diminish our strength. Join us. Benefits are waiting for you. Lots and lots. Get it?”
For a moment in time, a lot of people in Britain didn’t get it. They went the other way. They peeled off one layer of centralized control over their lives.
This now sets up a classic dialectic situation. Two opposing forces in conflict. And not just in England. The same sort of reaction is peaking in other European countries who want to test the waters of defection from the EU; and of course, in the US, Trump vs. Hillary represents a “perfect polarization.” Whether or not these oppositions were covertly built in the first place behind the scenes, their existence now makes them ripe for overarching manipulation.
What shape would that manipulation take?
Among other maneuvers, such as “new reports” of increasing unemployment, trading-market chaos and downward trends, we would see an escalation of riots, protests, clashes.
And the “solution, for sake of the population,” would be “restoration of order.” Translation: even more centralized power.
However, plans don’t always work. Don’t imagine that control from above is always flawless and god-like.
Defection from centralized power can take many forms, exposing many cracks in the foundation. Pillars can fall.
Major media are already on oxygen life-support. The Vatican and other crusty mainstay institutions are also sucking some of that oxygen. Because of the Web, untold numbers of people are waking up, in ways too numerous and varied to catalog. Even a few minor whiffs of freedom have their own power, and individual freedom is contagious beyond any kind of political drug or vaccine developed to stop it.
The game is afoot.
Even the most cynical interpretation of Brexit—that it was set up from behind the curtain as a way to flush out rebellion, which would then be squashed—doesn’t fully explain what just happened in Britain.
People can decide they’ve had enough of tyranny. They can take their suspicion of their leaders to a level where palliatives don’t work anymore. They can see the shape of the future that is being created for them, and they can toughen their refusal. They can push away from the table loaded with goodies and freebies, feeling sick, feeling patronized, feeling diminished. They can turn off the talking heads that preach Official Messages. They can discover further ways their freedom is being stolen from them, and they can rebel more deeply.
Eventually, they can come to a place where they rediscover their own existence as individuals, inviolate, alive, absent of the need for a bloated super-structure of “support.”
As this rediscovery happens, you won’t see it reflected in charts of trending stories. Newly awakened individuals will be thinking and creating and muscling their way through the decaying anatomy of the Deep State, making futures that cut away the tissues of connections that formerly bound them.
But bind them no more.
No more.
The grotesque creatures who’ve made their living, for decades, promoting and hustling Globalism as the grand solution, have failed to answer the fatal question: who is supposed to be in charge of imposing utopia on the world? Who are the messiahs of management bringing us all good things for our own good? After all, if gods are descending from the mountaintop to install paradise, shouldn’t we have a look at them, at their faces, at their robes, at their bona fides?
If not, if they must remain invisible, something very much like Brexit is going to happen, as it just did. People are going to leave those messianic fronts, like the EU, in the dust, at the side of the road.
O great gods of Globalism, at the top of the food chain, show us your faces, tell us your stories, answer all our questions, submit yourselves to our extensive interrogation.
Otherwise, bye bye.
Your outpost in Europe, the EU, had its moment in the sun. It lied. That’s all it knew how to do.
Now it stands in a wasteland, winds blowing through its exposed skeleton.

I’m not sure what you mean by “what just happened” in the sentence above Jon. Your writing is phenomenal and inspiring, unlike mine, but it doesn’t go far enough to counter the existent evidence that the Brexit is a trap! It might not be a trap to flush out rebellion, but it is definitely meant to extinguish the fire of nationalism and bring about a renewed appreciation for the days of old – however bad they were. Just watch the body language and listen to Cameron during this speech and tell me that he is not acting:

The fact is that the globalists would never allow a manufactured close election or vote to “go to waste” unless that was the plan to begin with. And if you understood the world of professional financial trading the way I do and global financial markets, then you would also see the mountain of evidence that the Brexit was contrived – unlike governments, financial markets never lie.
Here is the article about Goldman Sachs (GS) prediction for our stock market published days before the Brexit, which as usual was just another set up to trap the amateur investors into selling the market ahead of the vote so that big fish like GS could then come in and force them into liquidating their “short” bets in a classic “running of the stops”:

In other words, Goldman knew ahead of time what the outcome of the Brexit vote was going to be and wanted to place a massive bet that the financial markets where going to collapse but it first needed to generate liquidity in order to do that. That’s why the stock market climbed so high just hours before it completely reversed course. GS did the exact same thing back when the oil market was at an old-time high in order to place a massive bet that it was going to collapse by a factor of almost ten!
Aside from that, people need to understand that the Fed and the rest of the major global central banks needed an excuse to provide more economic stimuli without losing the confidence of the public, and a fake Brexit that will take years to play out BUT NEVER WILL was the perfect solution for that problem. So expect Cameron to fully come back stronger than ever after they make England suffer and blame EVERYTHING on those pesky nationalists there and abroad.
Cameron will never come back. He is hated all around the world. He’s just another Lying Ted Cruz style politician, who can’t even give a speech without a TelePrumpter.
Go to hell Cameron! The people are taking back their country. The ride will be rude at the beginning, but eventually it will soften down.
I hope that every European countries will also exit the EU.

Globalists and “consensus scientists” are two separate expressions of totalitarianism. The collapse of “consensus science” AGW (anthropogenic global warming) dogma is carrying down the Globalists with them.
That Cameron so enthusiastically portrays such an ambivalent (as reported) vote as being clear and decisive indicates that some devious plot is afoot.
Goldman will always play both sides of the game. What you are not considering here, or acknowledging if otherwise, is the massive consequence of contagion in this brexit move. If there was an underlying plan by the globalists to orchestrate brexit to succeed, then it will backfire because the rage of the people in Europe is evident… and it will gain momentum.
Reasons I do not agree with your assessment, and these points are ALL related 1) the central banksters are running out of time, there’s no where to hide and they are out of options (except for some version of world war – possible) 2) BRICS are making their move to exit the petrodollar and SWIFT with their own gold backed currency 3) The Greater Israel Project is doomed as Russia successfully intervened on Syrias behalf… Syria is not going to fall 4) People are waking up to the globalist madness 5) There is much going on behind the scenes with full disclosure (ET history) which many folks are in complete denial about and must wake up to… the changes happening on this front are immense and about to hit prime-time. Observe the many related tv programs and movies being released around this subject to prepare people. And most of it is agenda driven and misleading. Exopolitics will be the new buzzword in the near future.
I wonder though… and I do not dismiss your perception here at all. I question brexit regarding: the Royal Family and Boris Johnson… both supporting Brexit – not a peep from royal family during this whole event, or did I miss something here? And yes, the brexit referendum is far from being a done deal… this can stretch on for years. And Cameron DOES look as smug as ever, even in defeat.

The Queen never makes political comments. She meets with the Prime Minister every week or month, can’t remember which. The discussions are never made public. Comments made by the Queen are rarely leaked and if they are it is a long time after the event. Anything said about the Queen supporting Brexit is conjecture.
Brexit will definitely be blamed for future financial meltdown. The reason for Cameron offering a referendum if the Tories were elected and he became Prime Minister was, I think, to finish off UKIP. Nigel Farage only entered politics to fight for a referendum and it has taken him since about 1992. We would not have had a referendum without him. At the last election, because of our voting system, UKIP only ended up with one Member of Parliament even though they got 4 million votes. Originally UKIP took votes from the Tories but then they started to eat in to the Labour vote. The puppet masters do not want anything to threaten the two party system, Labour and Tories. There is little difference between the two of them, or there was until Jeremy Corbyn was elected Labour leader by the membership and not the Parliamentary Party. If a referendum was held and lost, that would have been the end of UKIP. However, Nigel Farage was side lined by Boris Johnson and Michael Gove and now he is being frozen out of any negotiations regarding UK exiting the EU. I really think that what you see is what you get as far as Nigel Farage is concerned. I am not sure about Boris Johnson. He is very ambitious and wants to be Prime Minister but not sure what other game he is playing.

the EU was about military power, NATO. What was nato for? world police, and of course, keeping far asia or what they like to call middle east “invaded”. since they have isis, all this destabilized region is no more problem and EU is not necessary as nato is a joke and they pulled the plug on european enlightenment already, just doing some finishing touches.

Great article Mr Rappaport. I’m in the UK and have been struggling to understand why so many people voted for their continued enslavement. I look upon it as a toxic mixture of normalcy bias and political Stockholm Syndrome. I fully expect the PTB to try and ignore the will of the people, but the good news is that I believe the damage has already been done – it’s too late!
Back in the 1990s one of the EU buzz words used to be Subsidiarity, which means that decisions should be made on the lowest possible level. For the last 10 years, this term has been completely erased from the EU vocabulary — and never refereed to in Corporate Media. I would love to see a journalist ask the EU bosses about Subsidiarity at a press conference.

I am from the UK and I am not sure that a vote for Brexit was planned. After the murder of Jo Cox I and other people I spoke to felt that all was lost. The pro Remain media and the Remain campaign milked that tragic death for all it was worth. I also think that they thought that their predictions of Armageddon if there was a vote for Brexit would turn enough people around and the majority would vote for Remain. Our first past the post system means that nearly all elections are fought on a first past the post basis and Brexit passed the 50% point and won. So often the British people have swallowed the promises of Governments, toed the line and accepted the status quo. Not this time. Something shifted. I am not saying that we will get Brexit without a fight. I think the referendum is the beginning not the end. All the cards have been thrown up in the air and we are not sure where they will land. So if anyone has any insight they would like to share I will be enormously grateful. Just a few snippets to take in to account. It was reported today that David Miliband is on his way to Brussels (one of the HQs of the EU). He sought leadership of the Labour Party (he is a Blairite) but lost out to his brother. He then left the UK to take up a job with a charity in the USA. However he is listed on the Trilateral Commission website as a member as follows: President and Chief Executive Officer, International Rescue Committee, New York; former Member of the British Parliament; former Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, London. What do we think he is up to? Anyone? Soros is talking about reconstructing the EU which chimes a bit with Varoufakis who has started a movement to democratise the EU. We all know what Soros is and Varoufakis is definitely a wolf in sheep’s clothing. So please all you lovely people and Jon Rappoport please give me your opinions on what could happen next.
