How government owns people: Australia

“I once worked for a corporation. I quit. I wondered whether I could do the same thing to the government. It was like trying to balance a greased watermelon on one finger.” (The Underground, Jon Rappoport)

There are various ways to calculate how government owns people. The simplest is: through money.

Aside from taxes, this would translate into government jobs and welfare.

People who receive some or all of their income through their rulers tend to be on the side of government. They’re certainly dependent on government.

Look at Australia, a nation with a population of 23.1 million people.

As The Guardian reports (8/13), out of a total of 11.5 Australian million jobs, 1.9 million (16.4%, 1 out of 6) are for government. And this does not include the Defence Department (58,000 jobs).

As reported by Peter Whiteford, in “FactCheck: Is half to two-thirds of the Australian population receiving a government benefit?”, at theconversation.com, about 50% of all Australian households receive some form of government $$ assistance.

I haven’t found figures for how many Australian companies are government contractors, but you can be sure the number and the money are large. All those employees are receiving government money.

Then there are numerous “state-owned enterprises,” which are companies wholly owned by government. Their employees are ultimately getting their paychecks via government $$.

Seeing the picture?

You can analyze other industrialized nations and find similar conditions.

But of course, no one who favors “the collective good” sees all this as a problem. The problem for them, as always, is not enough “government support.”

Because for them, government is the answer and the ultimate benefactor and the primary force inventing the future. All hail.

Half a century ago, intellectuals who had a clue about what was going on called government The State. They viewed it as a monolithic force bent on expanding its power and subjugating the individual. Now, many of those same people, or their descendants, view government as the escape hatch from injustice.

This delusion is bolstered by the multiplication of victim groups seeking special treatment from their political leaders.

We would be wise to consider Albert Camus’ statement in his 1951 essay, The Rebel:

“The slave begins by demanding justice and ends by wanting to wear a crown. He must dominate in his turn.”

Starting in the 1960s, several generations of people began applying New Age “rainbow thoughts” to politics. By the 1990s, this practice spread to the point where its advocates actually believed The State could and would deliver a far better world.

In a detailed November 2013 article (indepebdentaustralia.net), “The surveillance state: How Australia spies on its own,” Murray Hunter writes, “The revelations released by Edward Snowden… are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Australian security surveillance operations…Through rapid technology advances, the Australian security apparatus has grown to an Orwellian scale.”

Author Hunter then describes the system: “The Australian Government database is a highly sophisticated group of electronic document and records management system(s) (EDRMS) for collating, storing, and matching data between various agencies and levels of government on citizens. Consequently data collected by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), social security (Centrelink), Medicare, immigration, customs, and police enforcement agencies are integrated with relational databases and query systems. This is supplemented by individual agency databases with extremely detailed information on citizens. They carry an almost complete personal history of residential details going back decades, income, occupation, spouses, children, social security benefits, medical, and travel information, etc. These systems can be accessed by almost anybody within the public service. Every agency within the government has become part of the intelligence collection network.”

This gargantuan apparatus is the work of a government that “really cares” about the population?

“You people work for us. You take home a paycheck from us (derived from your taxes). You depend on us. But that’s not enough. We need to spy on you all day every day.”

the matrix revealed

Australian political leaders and their massive bureaucracies are aware of an important fact: although at one level citizens’ dependence on The State makes them supporters of The State, on a deeper level the individual always resents his dependence and wants to be free. That makes him dangerous.

Shackling a human is a risky proposition. When he tries to break out, he is unpredictable.

The shift in talking about “The State” to talking about “government” reflects the degree to which the individual has been trivialized. The State was once seen as the pre-eminent threat to the free and independent individual. But since almost no one in the mainstream cares about “free and independent,” the word “government” suffices.

Government is the “benevolent helper” and adjudicator of populations, masses.

Maybe in the next half-century, the Australian government will employ everybody in the country.

Why not? It makes for a very efficient bookkeeping (surveillance) system. Everybody is on board. Everybody is tracked. Everybody is in the collective, at the bottom—except for those who rule from the top.

Very true, the more u are unable to work & pushed on to benefits the more u do not like the government for that situation that makes you in that situation, no matter how u try to work through it & resentment to they very people controlling many in same positions.

Also true, it’s very dangerous situation to be in and never turns out well, but saying that many can rise from the ashes finding new places in society that would be needing sorted as the old fell around new

But until money out of politics we will b under this great new society they say we have.

Look again, it’s not so great many trying to divide others, make wars no interest in peace or people power.

“one vast and ecumenical holding company, for whom all men will work to serve a common profit, in which all men will hold a share of stock – all necessities provided, all anxieties tranquilized, all boredom amused.”

In fact, when I look at what happened after 9/11, bush coming out saying all kinds of lies and launching some kind of crusade, this was an amusement. All politics, are amusement, politics are boredom killing business. To amuse, to mock the traumatized, drugged-vaccined-hospitalized poison dripped via the tube patients, sorry, citizens.

And all these so-called Syrian refugees will be granted with open arms by socialist governments… more people voting for them. And this is how they will destroy countries like USA and Canada.

I’m a Libertarian, I believe socialism is the scum of the Earth. It corrupts everything and everybody. It reduces the population to slavery.

Income taxes are robbing the people of their hard earned money. It’s a crime. If people would keep their money, they would buy things for themselves and pay a small flat tax, it would make the economy roll and governments would still have enough money to build roads, aqueducts, electrical powers and so on. That’s all we want from them anyway. The rest we can handle ourselves.

And what ever happened to charity? Before socialism, people would freely give to charity organisations. Probably because they still had money in their pockets to give (now they don’t) they are all deep in debts. Nobody was homeless or dying on the streets before socialism.

I hate socialism. It destroys everything good on this planet we live on. We have become a Prison Planet.

then why are you willing to vote for the scum of the earth. which of course includes everyone who is running.

      • From Québec says:

Hey! I don’t vote in your country, I’m not a US citizen.

I vote in Canada because if we ever have the Lberal Party or the NDP leaders as Prime Ministers, our country will be even more corrupted than yours.,

    • Gökmen says:

Socialism could have worked, if we were using tesla energy today. libertarian, this or that..every one of those mean nothing when there is a debt based fake money system in a society. It’s like saying “I like my shackles a little less pale grey” or “I want my shackles in blue color thank you”.

      • From Québec says:

Libertatians would abolish the Federal Reserve fake money.

        • bdbinc says:

Libertarians are just another brand of deluded slave. It is not socialism that bombs these refugees country and destroys their homes. It is closer to concept Marxism( nazi ) but since the Media told you you believe it is socialism.
Any sane human being would abolish the Fed (and the banking cabal) but people are infantile divided by their love of political parties/brands. Sure govt enforced taxation is theft your govt works for the interests of the banking cabal (fed IMF).

When you vote you vote to be governed by the corporation’s candidate/puppet.

          • @bdbinc

“Libertarians” is a LABEL, just as Marxism and Socialism.

Banning the Federal Reserve will achieve nothing. Removal of money will force the people to fight or cooperate.

Of course money can’t be removed it is too entrenched, but faith in it can be targeted. When people refuse to except currency, then the “powers” have a problem – a big problem!

          • BDBinc says:

For Quebec “Libertarian” its a set of beliefs (an identity). They still believe in voting.

Abolishing the FED and the banking cabal not impose a ban on it.
The NWO want a the removal of paper money in a cashless digital currency .

‘Money’ as value can be anything( has been) cattle, grains food, shells, coins how do you target faith in resources. Even your shelter has a (money) value placed on it, land that the Crown says it owns has a “value” placed on it.
Isn’t the private banking cabals control of money( control of nations) the big problem>

          • @BDBinc

You are a puppet of the fantasy.

Libertarian is a BRANDING that has different meanings depending on the user.

With no money, ownership become a presumption. Barter finance systems are forms of “money” (tokens).

Ban money and then virtue becomes the new currency. Trust your fellow man or are you going to stick with the old control paradigms: “business as usual”?

    • That’s why you send back all that money the government sends you for being over 65 years old right…

    • So…do you send back the money to the Canadian government that ‘they’ send you every month for being over 65 years old.

      Signed curious.

      • From Québec says:

Are you kidding me? They have robbed me of so much income taxes when I was working, that they could send me money for the next 50 years and I would still be the loser. And that is not covering the amount of income taxes that I also paid in socialist Québec. And what did I ever get from it? Nothing really.

I believe that the tiny amount they send us back after 65, doesn’t match the crime they have committed robbing us blind.while we were working hard to earn that money. Maybe they do it to make their conscience feel better… if they ever had a conscience.

  4. You timing of this post is unbelievable, Jon.

It is almost as though we are synchronised. The latest from Ozzie Thinker discusses money too (giving you a number of plugs)

The main character in the movie Crocodile Dundee was based on a real person. Unfortunately, he couldn’t be domesticated. The Australian government tried to take his guns and he resisted so a SWAT team killed him.

  6. one says:

Good Camus reference. What people don’t notice ( many don’t have the courage to think about it ) is that the institutionalized racism of the Overt Eugenics Age ( today it is covert, still as strong as ever ) was still better than the institutionalized anti-racism of today. There would always be natural, common-sense resistors to racism, no matter how “scientific” and “rational” it pretended to be. It was disguised even in the open, as in the nests of civilized debate ( the big, diverse cosmopolitan Cities ) it’s most ‘populistic” forms would never catch. So it was sugar-coated, and there was always, deep at the heart of that rhetoric, a void of doubt and a sensation that it could probably be a load of bunk. But, in the “enlightened” Age of anti-racism, the State automatically seizes the high moral ground in every debate, representing “universal values shared by all humanity”.

Merkel in Germany, as she destroys the country ethnically, culturally and possibly economically, quotes one enlightened platitude after another, while the repressive apparatus ( police ) moves on the most intransigent elements ( those who don’t swallow the bullshit ). The Facebook-hashtag zombies, of course, emboldened by an artificial sense of Collective Moral Superiority ( created/reinforced by Media/Academia ) cheers it’s own destruction. An heterogeneous society, riddled with victim groups, or better, ONLY populated by victim groups, is the Elite’s wet dream.

  7. BDBinc says:

So Quebec its not “socialism” its totalitarian (marxist/nazi/communism).
All govts are pretending to be socialist but are anything but .

Its not just Obama its global as banksters they have the same twisted agenda .
