Once-in-a-lifetime Hawaii vacation amidst the pesticides

You and the kids will love it!

Recent court cases on Kauai and the Big Island have supported Dow and Monsanto, against the wishes of local voters. The outcome: these companies will be permitted to continue their poisonous experiments with GMOs and pesticides. A similar case is pending in Maui County. The same Judge who screwed Kauai and the Big Island is planning to screw Maui.

Therefore, I propose new text for Hawaii Tourism Authority promotions:

Dear World:

An incomparable experience awaits you on our Island paradise.

Although it is true that Dow and Monsanto are spraying “restricted use” pesticides, and these highly toxic chemicals drift on the balmy breezes…

And although you may be drinking and eating and bathing and swimming and reclining up-close and personal with these chemicals…

And although no one will claim responsibility (birth defects have been reported)…

Take a chance. Roll the dice. We have many fine doctors and hospitals to treat acute episodes of pesticide-exposure.

The billion-dollar Kamehameha Schools Trust leases a thousand acres to Monsanto on Oahu. If the Trust trusts Monsanto, shouldn’t you?

Go for it. A vacation should be an adventure.

With these pesticides being launched on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Lanai, Molokai, and the Big Island, you can duck, bob, and weave for two weeks…

And that edge of risk will put you in the right frame of mind to view every healthy moment as a gift.

Be sure to explain this to the kids, so they, too, can share your excitement.

We may not have Disneyland, but taking the real-life Hawaii ride is much more challenging.

Book early and avoid the rush.

Oxygen tanks optional.

Come visit…where the bad and the beautiful mingle in a fervent stew of danger.

Long-term damage to health? We call that “Island memories that will last a lifetime.”

In the past year or so, voters on Kauai, the Big Island, and Maui opted to stop Dow and Monsanto from continuing their GMO/pesticide experiments. Fortunately, a federal magistrate struck down those efforts in the first two cases, and he is doing his best to seal a victory on Maui.

That means, when you arrive for your vacation, the pesticide nozzles will operating full-bore, saturating the environment and thus providing you with the metabolic, hormonal, and neurological insults you yearn for, so you can try to traverse a tight-rope of thrills and chills above an abyss of adrenal collapse.

It’s Hawaii. It’s toxic. Come see us.

—end proposed Tourism Authority text—

power outside the matrix

Yes, tourism is the sleeping giant in Hawaii. As long as visitors are unaware of, or don’t care about, the pesticide threats on the Islands, the big snooze continues.

If that changes, however, then Monsanto and Dow will find themselves in a new position. No long merely enemies of the people, but enemies of money.

  1. Just the vacation spot for those suffering from scabies, bedbugs, and any other infestation of the bug type. Consider bringing your flea infested dog along too. A happy solution to all your creeping nightmares.

And Obama still claims and pretends he was born in Hawaii…lol.

if so, he really hates his homeland.

Monsanto and GMOs: a Model of Greed
    http://sfgirl-thealiennextdoor.blogspot.ca/2013/09/monsanto-and-gmos-model-of-greed.html

    Excerpts:

“Earlier this year, on March 26th, President Obama signed H.R. 933 with a provision called the Monsanto Protection Act. The Monsanto Protection Act protects Monsanto from being sued for health damages caused by the use of their genetically modified crops”.

“Over 60 countries around the world have mandatory GMO labeling, including China and Russia,” said Parent. “Canada and the US are the only two industrialized nations that don’t. In the countries that have mandatory labeling, products that contain GMOs are hardly found because people won’t buy them. In fact, over 30 countries have outright bans on GMOs.”

Might as well choose to take a vacation in one of these countries:

Countries & Regions With GE Food/Crop Bans

“Italy: Austria, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal, Greece, Spain, UK, Switzerland, Norway. Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, brazil, Paraguay:, a few States in USA.”

Anyway, it looks like we are starting to win the war on GMO, so let’s not stop pushing the issue, we are so close to victory!

  5. Becca Chopra says:

When I worked there, many visitors on Kauai wrote to the Garden Island newspaper asking why the roadsides were all brown on “The Garden Isle?” The powers-that-be didn’t care about herbicide exposure to those in rental cars any more than they cared about the exposure to us residents. Something has to change – there has to be a law that our elected officials or any state/county workers can’t take bribes, or should we call them, donations, from the pesticide giants. And that no judge can either.
