Here are two GMO quotes. I’ll let them speak for themselves, and then make a few comments.

QUOTE ONE: “This compilation is a sample of the scientific references including over 1200 studies, surveys, and analyses that suggest various adverse impacts and potential adverse impacts of genetically engineered (GE/GMO) crops, foods and related pesticides. This list contains references regarding health impacts, environmental impacts, including impact of non-target organisms (NTOs), resistance of target organisms, genetic drift and drift of pesticides, horizontal gene transfer, unintended effects, as well as references regarding yields, social impact, ethics, economics and regulations. In most cases, links are provided to the abstracts for the references.” (See gmofreeusa.org, “GMO Science,” for the list of 1237 specific references.)

QUOTE TWO: “If we look at evidence from [more than] 15 years of growing and consuming GMO foods globally, then there is no substantiated case of any adverse impact on human health, animal health or environmental health, so that’s pretty robust evidence, and I would be confident in saying that there is no more risk in eating GMO food than eating conventionally farmed food…The bottom line for me is that there is no more risk in GMO food than conventionally farmed food, it has nothing to do with genetic engineering…” (Statement of Anne Glover, CHIEF SCIENTIFIC ADVISOR TO THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION, in a July 24, 2012, interview with EurActiv.)

No problem, nothing to see here, no harm, no foul.

The existence of 1237 references that contradict Anne “the science is settled” Glover (twitter: @EU_SceinceChief) doesn’t automatically prove GMOs are harmful, but it does prove she’s a parrot. She’s just mouthing the talking point that all GMO advocates deploy.

And she hasn’t studied these 1237 (and more) references to see what’s there.

Instead, she herself is a study in studied ignorance.

If consuming GMO’s is not harmful , They should serve them exclusively at the WHITE HOUSE…..

    • theodorewesson says:

and exclusively at EU HQ in Brussels, too.

I’m sure at those EU meetings in Brussels, Anne “the science is settled” Glover and Crew are drinking purified water and eating organic.

      You to your health. Cheers!

In the late 90s SE Michigan was over-run with gypsy moth larvae. Being a tree-hugging dirt worshiper I chose BT in an attempt to save my mature oak and nut trees. I lost 5 mature oaks.

I also lost a portion of my health. It hasn’t returned.

Although I read and understood all the warning notices before applying BT, not a one of them indicated any adverse affect on Human Beings, suggesting it was totally “safe.”

I inhaled quite a bit that summer as I tried to protect my trees. Since then I’ve been far more prone to viruses and fungal infections. I have no “scientific” proof, just real experience; what the ancient Greeks call gnosis, experiential knowledge.

I’d still rather use BT (a natural organism), mantids and other biological interventions than any chemicals, but being lied to by producers does take a toll.

    Another Big Thank YOU JON….

these GMO’s are killing us….yet, they blame every adverse effect of their toxic GMO’s on whatever they can muster up to lay blame on as if from some play book they have created to distract the truth….

GMO’s are nothing but poison…..GMO crops actually require MORE POISON than the crops grown traditionally….it takes more and more roundup poison to grow GMO crops and is in our food….

since GMO’s were introduced into the food supply the obesity crisis began….it was early 1990’s that these two went hand in hand….the more GMO’s the bigger the obesity crisis became….I believe GMO’s do not digest like tradionally grown crops….along with the added roundup poison accumulating in our bodies it is actually a crime against humanity what these sickos are doing to the food supply…they are destroying crops while everyone sits back and allows them to poison us….a disaster and huge crime against humanity….another institution run by demonic creeps….

    Lots of LOVE

  4. How Hard Science PhDs Have Wrecked The World

The entire process of acquiring an advanced degree reveals the inherent problems of PhDhood[1]. As each of these serious problems is systematically unpacked, it becomes quickly apparent how the PhDs are wrecking the world at an alarming rate. Truly, as a class of working professionals in research and academia, industry and business, government and corporate, they have greatly contributed to the ongoing and literal collapse of post-modern civilization. http://stateofthenation2012.com/?p=3774

  5. The statement by Anne, that “If we look at evidence from [more than] 15 years of growing and consuming GMO foods globally, then there is no substantiated case of any adverse impact on human health, animal health or environmental health,” is a classic black swan error. Even if it was true – it only takes a single case to prove the statement wrong. Of course if you happen to have over 1000 cases in your pocket, it makes her look really stupid, or smart enough to get paid for nonsense.
    tracy

    • Then,

We haven’t even started looking at those farming practices of using petrochemicals for fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, etc. as still being a constant practice. GMO-science has given them the excuse to continue doing so, and even use MORE herbicides.

Just one “solution” that turns out to be another added problem, intended to cover up the past problems (uncorrected).

  6. Dave says:

Not one case of GMO harm the controlled media would ever report.

  7. John says:

Please note the supplement tryptophan was made using GMO bacteria in Japan. Thousands were sickened and some died. Showa Denko paid billions in compensation. Did not make the news.

  8. Interesting that the loudest supporters in pushing GMO’s upon the rest of us (without the “US” having any choice or forewarning in the matter), have conveniently exempted themselves FROM having any in their own diets! (Like the MONSANTO employees’ own kitchen/canteen, or the current occupants of the White House???)

What my father used to tell me:

“What’s good for the goose, is good for the gander.”

THAT speaks volumes in and of itself.

    Dear Jon Rappaport:
What you should have also mentioned is the fact that there are more sick people in the USA than ever before. We see them everywhere. But if we try to trace any of that sickness back to genetically engineered food, it’s extreemly difficult because not one piece of G.E. supermarket food has ever been labeled in 21 years , in the USA. That’s Monsanto’s Ace in the Hole : no labeling — no trace back. That’s why Monsanto and its cronies spent approx. 80 million dollars to defeat GE food labeling in California and Washington State with a big campaign of disinformation and outright lies. Everything about the GE food approval process is a total criminal act. The major question is why do we tolerate it ?
So I’m telling everyone that when anyone pushes the Big Monsanto Lie that GE food never made anyone sick, ask them ” How do you trace back any GE food sickness when there has never been GE food labeling ? ” And mention that even scientists who try to do research to find health problems with GE food are attacked and smeared by Monsanto’s PR team. Our government has given laws to Monsanto that even block the research from being done. ( Intellectual Property Laws ) That’s why our best studies showing GE food harm come from foreign countries.
    yours truly,
    Roger Fuller
