Of course I support the war heart and soul

I have six tanks I want to sell.

I need a buyer in the Ukraine.

With the profits, I can buy a large island in the South Pacific, staff it, and retire there.

Now I know there is a great deal of delusionary news surrounding the war.

The hotel was hit by a Russian missile.

No, it was a Ukrainian weapon.

Putin has cancer.

No he doesn’t; he’s fine.

He’s already handed over control of the government to an assistant.

Absurd. He’s very much in charge.

The ruble is tanking.

No, it recovered. It’s stronger than ever.

A negotiated settlement is possible.

Will never happen.

And so forth and so on.

All I know is, I have tanks to sell.

The US government can invent the money to buy them and then give them to the Ukraine, or I can sell directly to a Ukrainian buyer.

This is the limit of my knowledge and responsibility.

I’ve giving 600 men jobs making tanks. That’s another fact I’m sure of.

Wars start and stop all the time. I don’t have anything to do with either process. I make tanks.

Nobody from Russia wants to buy them. So I look to the Ukraine. I support the Ukraine. Why wouldn’t I? Why wouldn’t the US government? If the US could sell weapons to Russia, it would.

Maybe it already is. That’s not my area of expertise.

I make tanks and I sell them.

My customers are mainly people who can’t afford them. That’s where the donor US government comes in.

From each according to his ability to invent money, to each who can buy, no matter how.

I’ve found that formula works. That’s all I know.

If I were given to speculation, I wouldn’t have the time to make tanks.

I notice many people want to outlaw guns, but nobody wants to outlaw tanks.

This is good.

    Is that irony ?

Well said, Jon and fitting for Memorial Day as well. Sadly, so many have swallowed the BS about so many wars and have lost their lives over what they thought was protecting liberty. Smedley Butler knew the real reason,

What do you expect? When you not only stop hanging the traitors but put them in charge, when you stop sending the insane to asylum and put them in charge.. America has done this for over 30 years. Action – results. You can predict the future by just watching of what is done today

  4. The whole things a giggle, a cosmic giggle.

I watched a video of a tiktok submission of two young black men beating on a older Asian man in a New York subway. The one held the poor fellow up as his legs failed, while the other laid a lickin on real thick.

It would seem New York is in a terrible social and infrastructure decay. The city that never sleeps is suffering the effects of that insomnia now.

Mass formation; mass psychosis; crowd psychology and the failure to think on your own two feet. Even the totalitarians are becoming infected with the disease they spread.

Elon had a poll on Twitter about which is worse Billionaires or politicians. 74% of the poll said politicians, if you can believe it…

Man has become the enemy of himself as he is now responsible for the Avian flu jumping back to birds and killing the annual migration of flocks of birds flying past my windows on there way to summer retreat and increase of their wonderful populations.

You don’t know how painful it is to look on a wetland and only sees a meagre few duck and a pair of geese where hundreds once thrived.

It troubling seeing the prediction of Rachel Carson come to rest in my wetland of a backyard.

Yes guns are bad and tanks are good Jon.

The jester king has asked for more as they re-sell for a higher price on the black market. And Russia is forced to bury the Ukrainian dead.

Zo,on that note I’ll finish wit a little Nazi joke…”So a holocaust survivor wins the lottery”…

Moishe wins the lottery, and reporters start asking this Holocaust survivor about his plans for the money, what he going to spend it all on… Without any hesitation Moishe says he is going to commission a big statue of Adolf Hitler… the reporters are stunned and gobsmacked and ask why a survivor of such an atrocity would do such a terrible thing. Moishe rolls up his right sleeve and says – “He gave me the winning numbers”

    Today is Memorial Day.

We have been deeply conditioned by propaganda and jet fly-overs and moments of silence at ball games and politicians with flowers and other kinds of civil sacraments to think that Memorial Day is set aside to honor the Strong Arms of the State.

Well, it’s time for another kind of Memorial Day. We need a ‘Remember What America USED TO BE Day.’

We need to set aside one day a year to memorialize the Time when America was truly the great nation. One that stood for real virtues and had the most respected place on the World scene. When it was a place of unbounded plenty and opportunity. When it was a Shining City on the Hill. At least, it sort of was… in theory at least.

Yes, we need another kind of Memorial Day. A day set aside to think about what we as a Nation used to be. A miracle of social and political philosophy with a new kind of social contract with a value given to the citizenry along with a bounty of natural resources that for a brief time shined upon and lit up the whole World with its promise.

Promise, and hope. In very short supply these days. And the very things the World desperately needs.

We need a Day to remember and mourn the loss of what ‘We’ used to be — or at least some of us over the last couple hundred years who worked or hoped for it to be so. And a day to long for and pray that somehow a day like that could return. If not here… somewhere. It’s a big universe with lots of planets.

When a miracle is all you’ve got left.. you pray for that miracle. And then try to make that miracle happen. The Almighty rewards those who try.

And THAT is something to… remember.

    TWICE DEVOTION

    “It is rather for us
    here dedicated to
    the great task
    remaining before us,
    that from these
    honored dead
    we take increased
    devotion
    to that cause
    for which they gave
    the last full measure
    of devotion.”

    ~ Abraham Lincoln

  7. Scott McCutcheon says:

Be careful Jon. Some of your readers will accuse you have “not being patriotic.” Then again, the truth is always more important. Some of your readers can’t handle the truth.

I recall when you wrote a piece of similar tone when this latest flare-up of a near decade-long [ are we still on the “endless wars” path?] conflict between Russia and Ukraine [well, really it’s a conflict pitting the U.S./EU/NATO against Russia, the Ukraine simply being used as a prybar] and I posted a comment speaking out against our U.S. government/U.S. military industrial complex/U.S. Federal Reserve fomenting that conflict, going back years, even before the 2013 Maidan Massacre.

Unfortunately, one individual had the audacity to accuse me of hating the United States [as we know these days, vehemently disagreeing with District of Criminals foreign policy makes one an automatic hater of the United States] and that I should leave the U.S. and go elsewhere.

When are the majority of American people going to wake up to the fact that the United States’ umpteen-hundreds of military installations spread across the face of Earth are nothing less than a mega huge money laundering scheme for the biggest “legalized” racketeering apparatus in all recorder human history. And if you don’t obey they will come and crack your knee caps. Well, sometimes more than that, ask Gaddafi or Saddam or those half a million innocent Iraqi children. Oh, they’re all dead. I forgot. And those aren’t the only instances.

For any of you “war-loving” Americans out there that read my comment….F@#K OFF! You go find a country where brute thugs are welcome, because you’re obviously among them. I’m sure you welcome other thugs in to your home and ransack it when ever they want, right? And surely you do the same to your neighbor’s property, right? Brute thugs aren’t welcome in my home or neighborhood. And I believe a lot of Americans feel the same.

But I’ve learned there are also a lot of Americans that think a “government” makes a country. They haven’t a clue that in that model the “government” existed before the people did. In that model the government existed before any local community did. That also have to mean the “government” existed before any family did. That model is impossible.

    Please people, wake up!

I wonder how much profit the USA will make from the money they loan Ukraine to buy their tanks

I think it’s called ever in our debt especially when they want Ukraine to do something in future for them That’s how it works

The innocent people in Ukraine and Russia just like those innocent civillians in other Wartorne countries are

That’s the way it works with the corrupt gready governments of all conflicts We the people are disposable to them when it comes to money and power to rule

  11. Chris A says:

It’s the same old war racket. “Loan” a country a bunch of money. Then when they can’t pay it back, you own the countries natural resources.

    – just a small aside, Burns comment further above, mention Rachel Carlson, I think of the quote from her book all the time

from book Silent Spring. People should have paid attention long before now.

The false wars have been very damaging to earth and food also, and our actual security.

The core comparative in article though already repeated deserves yet another repeat –
‘I notice many people want to outlaw guns, but nobody wants to outlaw tanks.’

    Need to share that one.
