Selling Fear—the “Epidemic Experts” weigh in

“But…but…this time it’s different. This one is different…”

“Yes, well…West Nile, SARS, Swine Flu, Ebola, Zika, MERS…every time one of these phonies reared its head, it was going to be different. Quantitatively and qualitatively different. And it wasn’t.”

Let’s all try fear as a lifestyle. How about an unproven virus blowing around the world? It could be a kick. Just turn on your TV.

The news is a huge deli.

Authoritative and supreme baloney sellers are cutting extra-thick slices for the public.

Zero Hedge: 3/8, “An infectious diseases expert at the forefront of the search for a coronavirus vaccine said on Friday that it was the most ‘frightening disease’ he’s ever encountered, and that ‘war is an appropriate analogy’ for what the country is facing, as ‘50 – 70 percent of the global population’ may become infected.”

“Dr. Richard Hatchett, who sat on the White House Homeland Security Council in 2005 – 2006 and was a principal author of the National Strategy for Pandemic Influenza Implementation Plan, and currently heads the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, told the UK’s Channel 4:”

This is the most frightening disease I’ve ever encountered in my career, and that includes Ebola, it includes MERS, it includes SARS. And it’s frightening because of the combination of infectiousness and a lethality that appears to be manyfold higher than flu’.”

Let’s look at these “frightening diseases” Dr. Hatchett has encountered. Out of a population of seven BILLION people…

Ebola (2014-16): 11,325 deaths.

SARS (2003): 800 deaths.

MERS (2012-2020): 866 deaths.

These are official figures. In my articles on past “epidemics,” I’ve presented evidence that factors having nothing to do with viruses caused illness and death; and the tests for diagnosing cases are wholly inadequate and unreliable. (archive here)

Dr. Hatchett also did work on the Swine Flu “pandemic” (2009). I’ve covered that fraud extensively. In the summer of 2009, while the CDC was claiming there were thousands of cases in America, star investigative CBS reporter, Sharyl Attkisson, discovered the CDC had secretly stopped counting cases. Why? Because the overwhelming percentage of samples taken from the most likely Swine Flu patients, sent to labs, were coming back with: no sign of Swine Flu or any other kind of flu. About a month after Attkisson’s investigation was shut down at CBS, the CDC estimated there were, yes, 22 MILLION CASES of Swine Flu in America.

Another expert is currently weighing in on the coronavirus: Harvard epidemiologist, Marc Lipsitch. He told CBS reporter Jim Axelrod that he predicts 40 to 70 percent of the world’s population may become “infected” with the virus, and millions of people will die.

This prediction, of course, is based on a computer model. What could possibly go awry? We should all step up to the counter and buy more baloney. The same brand the CDC was selling when they proclaimed there were 22 million cases of Swine Flu in America. Funny thing—every computer model I’ve ever bumped into always seemed to predict MORE. More of whatever it was calculating. I’ve never met a computer model that stated: “there will only be three of these, instead of 40 million.” “The projections of five years of drought have been downgraded to six days.”

There was an oddity in this CBS interview with the Harvard epidemiologist, Marc Lipsitch. It’s what both the reporter, Jim Axelrod, and Lipsitch didn’t ask or say. After all, when an expert tells you millions are going to die, you want to know more, right? Here is my proposed continuation of the conversation. It might go this way:

Axelrod: When you make a computer model, I assume it yields specifics, correct?

Lipsitch: Well, yes. That’s why we do models.

Axelrod: In this case, how many deaths—how many millions of deaths— from the coronavirus did your model predict?

Lipsitch: There is a range of numbers.

Axelrod: I understand. But you should understand that when you sit here and tell our audience that millions are going to die, there are further questions.

Lipsitch: The model adjusts the range, as we gather more information.

Axelrod: How many people will die? Our viewers, I believe, know there would be a difference between, say, two million, ten million, and a hundred million. When you just say millions, it leaves a hole…

And then, Axelrod would keep on going and find out how many millions of people Lipsitch thinks are going to die, based on the computer model.

In other words, let’s get the number or the range of numbers on the record. Let’s have the Harvard expert go all the way.

But for some reason, Axelrod and Lipsitch were satisfied to avoid doing it. Perhaps it was a case of “don’t frighten the children.” Unfortunately, too late for that. I prefer to think CBS and Lipsitch didn’t want to lift some very visible and specific roll of baloney and slice it thickly in front of the viewing audience. A year from now—speaking of millions—a whole lot of people might repost that interview and say: CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS? AND YOU TRUST CBS AND HARVARD? LOOK AT THE BALONEY.

The current soft meme, a white-collar corporate and government virus, spreading rapidly, is: “social distancing.” Also known, in a slightly harder version, as “self-isolation.” If you think you might sneeze in the next four months, work from home. Stay at home.

I thought we were already in the middle of a social distancing pandemic, judging from how many people walk down streets and sit in restaurants, heads bowed, looking at their cell phones and exercising their thumbs.

But if people listen to the experts, they’ll undoubtedly shrink and contract even further. They’ll live in kitchens and bathrooms, shut down the rest of their homes, and only venture out to buy food and toilet paper.

The intrepid hero of our time will be the pizza delivery Magellan, circumnavigating empty neighborhoods, braving the night air.

“Do you guys make baloney deep dish? I’ll take six.”

Thank you. I have been following many sources of alternative news and you are by far the most logical and sensible person. I was not impressed with how some in the alternative media are creating their own hysteria. Mercola.com has jumped the band wagon to fear mongering and I am no longer going to be giving attention to his unending need to sell his products.
Today he literally wrote that this virus is 30 to 60 times more lethal than the seasonal flu. If you go by the numbers posted by the powers that be that could be correct. That means 3% to 6 %. Using the terms 30 to 60% deadlier is just another way of saying the same but is far more terrifying if you don’t do the math. I am amazed he would be quoting them after posting last month about this type of propaganda. Despite everything else being said ( I am not going to go into all of that) the intention of course is to push sales of nutritional products that will save you from the dreaded lethal virus. I don’t believe in the powers that be to tell me the truth and I have nothing to sell either.
I have been studying this for a long time. Maybe someday fear won’t run this planet.

      unquote…

My comment– I like to do old-fashioned social media conversation with people in my neighbourhood that I talk to, store keepers I visit, various work-related people at-the-right-time… and I discovered a few intelligent friends fired that idea back at me– that being that the corona-virus is more lethal, more potent– therefore panic is justified.

I have not thought of a short and pithy come-back that blows a hole in that thought quickly enough for real-time interacction yet…. Like…

“It may be more lethal, but only for immune compromised people”…

Can anyone think of a short come-back for this seemingly effective argument– in 10 words or less? At least the come-back should hit the proponent with something that makes them think twice about their position.

      • Plamen says:

        Use this:

If the “Germ Theory of Disease” were true no one could ever get over a cold or flu, or any other disease caused by bugs, since they would constantly be re-infecting themselves.

Also, if the “Germ Theory of Disease” were true we would ALL have ALL of the bugs ALL of the time since they are “everywhere” and so would all other life on Earth, i.e. plants, trees, animals, insects, birds, etc., so life on Earth could not have happened.

        • Rick says:

Thanks Plamen– that actually goes a step further than I was planning on however. I’ve seen where germ theory doesn’t work– but I’ve taken it with a grain of salt. It seems to me that if I get near someone with a cold, then I end up with a cold. Seems like a germ.

          But… maybe not.

How does the anti-germ-theory explain “catching a cold”? Simply as many people with compromised immune systems– “seeming” to “catch cold” from each other?

          Otherwise, an interesting position.

  4. Maverick says:

People here in the UK are crapping themselves because the deaths of this supposed virus have reached…….wait for it……..the huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge number of………..5!! It is a tragedy of anyone dies for any reason God bless them but do we really know what they truly died of. Heck there has been more people die in pile ups in a split second over here and it doesnt even make the front page and people carry on with their lives maybe with a ‘wow thats horrible that truly sucks, oh what is for dinner?’

Now let me get this straight the UK are thinking of shutting down the country over 5 deaths which it hasnt been proven that it has anything to do with the coronavirus.

Comments on media outlets stories mass panic everywhere ‘why havent they shut down the airports’ ‘why didnt they act sooner’ ‘yes it is only 5 people now but next month it could be 500,000’

good god this bloody supposed virus has been around and spreading since the beginning of December LAST YEAR but somehow in the next week or so the cases are going go up by 100,000 and overnight literally there are going to be bodies lining the street and hospitals wont even be able to cremate them all.

This Story has been going on so long that i am LITERALLY sick to death (no pun intended) of hearing about the bloody thing, its utter fear porn desperate crap for brainwashed minds it doesnt scare me at all it make me bloody angry if anything because i know why it is being done and i know the consiquences to everyone after this. You can see everyone BEGGING AND PLEADING for the f-ing vaccine, they feel it will save them from certain doom and it is their only hope they are literally begging for it to be fast tracked. Did you know we had an article in the newspapers today saying that people are needed to be tested on and volunteers will be paid £3500. THAT IS WHAT YOU WANNA BE SCARED OF, yeah lets fast track a vaccine we have no idea what it will do might even kill you on the spot…….anyone stupid enough to value your lives at £3500 (which you wont be able to spend if your dead,or will regret if you live) roll on up…….funnily enough that covers a cremation over here, ironic isnt it.

I want to know how people can even think of this as a pandemic when it has been 3 months 3500 people have died and over 100,000 cases shouldnt the numbers be that much higher for this.

Oh and another thing, wasnt it said at first that the virus coud live on surfaces for 2 days, then it went to 7, then 14 and now some people are saying 29 days…..what bull. They are doing this on purpose so everything thinks ‘OMG if this is true i can have it on anything without it dying for 1 month nd i could get it and get ill and maybe die’

They literally are just making it up as they are going along to keep this sharade going as long as possible because if they say it can live 1 month they can always and forever have ‘new cases’ popping up so they can run this damn scaremongering stuff for ages if they want to and it will be a never ending barrage of this crap for another 6 months to a year. I am sick to hell of this already i dont think i can take many more months of this stupidity.

    • Cynthia Silveri says:

Oh I feel your pain and irritation…its soooooo frustrating!

    • Rick says:

I share your frustration… and decided to become an ACTIVIST just a few days ago… meaning (for me)… I’ll become more vocal and argumentative with believers, as well as exposing the link with 5G through various 5g rollout vs. corona breakout maps.

To your point: The hype over the “corona” is a SUBSTITUTE panic for what ought to be a JUSTIFIED panic over 5G rollout– which we see being expressed in the anti-5G-community. My sharpest thinking on this is that the 5g-corona-illness-effect… will indeed continue to get worse as long as 5G is continued to be turned on…. which it IS at this poing.

Our most effective method of BEATING BACK this onslaught of thick sliced baloney [:)} …is to RENAME the phenomenon– as “5g-corona-illness”. That way, internet searches will find THAT connection more easily.

As well, someone (I forgot exactly who… I think it was “stateoftheNation.com”)… pointed out that the DEEP STATE running this show INTENTIONALLY named it CORONA virus as a salute to the ELECTRICAL CORONAL effect around the sun and electromagnetic wires… so to name it 5G-corona-illness… or 5G-coronaL-illness, is valid.

We can’t spin control something like this world-wide stupid fast-ball without a NAME… I suggest 5g-corona-illness… and I suggest we all ALLY ourselves and report back here with Jon… on anti-5G orgs… as well as reported 5g rollout vs. corona-virus maps to show the correlation– which there is!! … it’s acutally quite fantastic.

I totally hear you on being sick to death of this fake story. I’m here in NJ (US), and there was supposedly one death from the virus. But the guy was obviously extremely sick ever before he supposedly got the virus. They read his case history- he’s 69 or so, has hypertension, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, emphysema, and GI problems (I think they mentioned some kind of gut bleeding). So, they want us to believe that the virus did him in….Give me a freaking break. And this was breaking news on the tv–had to interrupt the shows to tell us about one dead guy, who was clearly in extremely bad health. But it’s was the virus, right?? Total freaking insanity!!!

  6. Max from Italy says:

Hi there. I write from Northern Italy, precisely from the Bergamo County, one of the most affected area. I just want to report the real situation here, trying to explain what is going on, at least from my point of view.
The main problem is not that we all are going to die, but that the health system is really under stress, so we need to slow down the spread of the virus and the climax (that here should be within 2 weeks). I have friends working in hospitals here in Bergamo and they have a lot of people dying: usually older people affected already by other patologies. A lot means much more than usual: if your regional health system is ready to face 1500 cases of bilateral pneumonia and got 4000 doesn’t mean that millions are going to die, but thousand in a very narrow period of time.
It’s very hard for doctors to take decision if you are going to provide appropriate health care (e.g ventilation) to a 55 years old patient or to a 82 years old.
I understand there could be a different approach in US, where health care is just a business and this is accepted by large part of the population, so probably having people dying in thousands when they could have been saved is somehow a “rule of the game”. Ask people who are dealing with this emergency, they will give you interesting information.

    • Rtp says:

Yes but Max, doctors are habitual liars. They deny obvious vaccine damage that they personally observe but have no dramas blaming an invisible virus anytime someone falls off a cliff.

That’s not to say there aren’t statistical anomalies in Italy but so what? The whole country is in mass panic and drugging everybody left, right and center.

It’s hardly a surprise if plenty of people die.

    • Plamen says:

How many people do you personally know that have been affected?

    • Rick says:

OK, here’s a job for me– I’ll try to get 5G maps of BERGAMO COUNTY, ITALY. I took a recent re-look at a map of northern Italy and was sort of surprised to see how close CROATIA was… right across the water… I’m 1/2 “cro”… on mom’s side. Croatia is the home country of TESLA… said to have invented AC power. Electromagnetic phenomenon historically affected our health.. this is the latest chapter.

Bergamo Country–> 5G Corona Illness –> comparitive maps… I’ll get to work later today. As we do the legwork on this kind of thing, Jon’s blog will become more famous.

I appreciate hearing from another point of view, one who is living within the demographic of where the effects are manifesting. It’s easy to judge critically when one can stand outside of the human condition of experiences with this disease. It takes courage to be objective amidst the toll. I hear here where expectations differ between our cultural expectations of medical practice. Business health model? “I expect good (?) results for what I pay for!”
Humanistic model: “Lets look at the overall picture to see what together can be done to relieve suffering of others.”…..AND under present constrictions (caught unprepared) we may have to be selective as to who receives what level of care. It takes a lot of mature thinking to make those kinds of decisions. God help you. It takes a community of thoughtful support. It takes all of us to consider the consequences: good, bad, healthful, life depleting of the environment, etc, of choices in life-style.
We are all connected in this issue, and Mother Nature is showing us how that is true in ways that are clearly seen and understood.

    • Lori says:

      Hi, Max,

I don’t believe that health care is just a game in the USA. There are a great many people who care about each other.

People dying in the thousands would not be, nor has it been a rule of the game.

My daughter was given multiple surgeries, as well as being flown in my helicopter. I paid nothing, as I was not working at the time and couldn’t afford it. My cousin’s daughter was born with a heart defect. The surgeon flew in from another state. Her life was saved and there was no charge. I’m sure they are paying some back and their insurance is very good. My father’s life was saved at Hopkins, probably the finest hospital in the world, from leukemia. The expenses were covered by insurance. My braces were free when my father was fighting for his life, due to a very kind orthodontist. I could go on and on. Our health professionals give and give, in order to help people.

Don’t tell me who we are, please.

      • trishwriter says:

And if we didn’t have money stolen from us via taxation, we could all help more people. I could take the money we’re “paying” in taxes this year and help so many. I wouldn’t give any money to the military until they decided only to defend our country only and got out of other countries.

They wouldn’t need ventilators if the old folks remembered the wisdom of their forefathers. Years ago while on a winter holiday in Scotland, I was cured of “walking pneumonia” overnight, by drinking HALF A PINT of good whisky, recommended by the Scots landlord of the bed & breakfast where we were staying. Right as rain the next morning, lungs completely clear, not even a hangover.

So never mind the hand sanitizers— get in an emergency supply of top quality whisky.

    • Suzy says:

Max, a major component of the situation is that people’s immune systems are compromised by having been vaccinated. If they weren’t shooting everyone up with poison every year, they wouldn’t be getting so sick.
We must also remember that allopathetic treatments are a major cause of morbidity and mortality. If people were given the correct information instead of lies, they would know how to prevent and treat this virus at home, without ever having to exhibit serious symptoms. Much less death.
The moral of the story is: stay the hell away from conventional doctors, hospitals and allopathetic medical dupes. Take what the government and medical-pharmaceutical monopoly tells you with a lot of skepticism. Go have a baloney sandwich instead of eating their bullshit! And get rid of the fear, it is wholly unwarranted, not to mention immune-suppressive.

I have an article for you that will make you spit out your coffee:

Chinese doctors say coronavirus ‘like a combination of SARS and AIDS’, can cause irreversible lung damage

Chinese doctors say autopsies of coronavirus patients suggest the deadly illness is “like a combination of SARS and AIDS” that can cause “irreversible” lung damage.

The grim finding was reported on by Communist Party mouthpiece the Global Times on Friday, after a paper by Wuhan doctors published in the Journal of Forensic Medicine earlier in the week went viral on Chinese social media.

“The influence of COVID-19 on the human body is like a combination of SARS and AIDS as it damages both the lungs and immune systems,” Peng Zhiyong, director of the intensive care unit of the Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University in Wuhan, told the Global Times.

Dr Peng was commenting on the paper by Liu Liang, a forensic specialist from the Tongji Medical College at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, whose team had conducted nine autopsies of coronavirus patients as of February 24.

“The autopsy results Liu shared inspired me a lot. Based on the results, I think the most important thing now is to take measures at an early stage of the disease to protect patients’ lungs from irreversible fibrosis,” Dr Peng told the outlet.

Pulmonary fibrosis is permanent scarring of the lung tissue that can leave the patient chronically out of breath. The paper described an autopsy conducted on an 85-year-old man. It said there was apparent damage to the patient’s lungs.

Excess production of mucus spilt out of the alveoli — tiny air sacs in the lungs that absorb oxygen — indicating COVID-19 “causes an inflammation response that damages deep airways and pulmonary alveoli”.

According to the Global Times, the paper said the patient exhibited similar pathological changes to those caused by SARS and MERS. Fibrosis was “not as serious as was seen in SARS patients, but an exudative reaction was more apparent, possibly due to the short course of his disease”.

The paper did not say that all coronavirus patients will suffer permanent fibrosis.

An earlier study published in The Lancet which examined the CT scans of 81 patients with COVID-19 in Wuhan found the imagery “indicated the appearance of interstitial changes, suggesting the development of fibrosis”.

“However, since the natural history of COVID-19 pneumonia is yet to be fully explored, it is too early to label these lung changes as irreversible fibrosis,” the researchers wrote.

It comes as a group of Chinese scientists warn that the virus has mutated into a more aggressive strain. In a new study published in the National Science Review, researchers suggested that after COVID-19 crossed into humans, the original strain evolved into a second type and both of these are now circulating.

More than 95,000 cases of the disease have been confirmed worldwide and over 3000 people have died, including two in Australia, where there are currently 50 confirmed cases.

Absolute crap, you really believe that? Dont believe everything you read in the ‘news’ this is exactly what they want you to think its fear porn to maximise panic in people make it sound at dangerous as possible. AIDS isn’t real either its never had an actual virus attributed to it if you were to ask an ‘expert’ to show you the AIDS virus they couldnt and they would be like well it isnt one said virus per say its a disease of the immune system’ AIDS literally means Aquired Immuno Defiecency Syndrome. So baasically your immune system compromised,……does that mean that 95% of people that are immune compromised have AIDS? If not why not….dont you think there is a disconnect there? Going by the disease title and there is no real virus that causes it and it is a SYNDROME doesnt that mean 99.95% of the pupulation (yes everyones immune system is compromised just some more than others) you can literally say the entire population has AIDS.

They will tell you if you are not prepping you are not smart. This even though 80% of families in America live paycheck to paycheck. To say you have ran a computer model that reveals by July 4th 1.5 million people will be dead from the virus assuming nothing is done to mitigate it. Then they say, this is not a prediction but a projection because they believe the government will intervene. What kind of useless information is that other than to instill fear? That’s like saying if one million cars drive off Grandfather Mountain, at least one million people are going to die unless something is done to prevent it. This is not a prediction but a projection because I believe the authorities will intervene to stop it. What rational purpose is this kind of information used for? That is, other than the selling of product.Whatever happened to real news reporting?

    Hello Jon,
I am always interested in your articles but this time you might have missed the underlying problem with this new coronavirus, at least as we are living it here in Italy.
This virus eventually attacks the lungs and many people end up needing to be intubated. It’s severely taxing the Italian health service resources, as many hospitals just don’t have enough beds and equipment available for intensive care, and they are now having to decide who to treat and who to let fall by the wayside. The situation is desperate and doctors are posting videos begging people to take this virus seriously, they are at their wits’ end and very scared because they won’t be able to cope under so much pressure for much longer.

    • Plamen says:

Where did you get this kind of information? First hand, the media or word of mouth?

    • blob says:

What drugs are patients in Italy put on? Antiviral drugs can be very toxic, as can other treatments for such “epidemics”. It can worsen the already existing disease as well. Is anyone accounting for that as for the deaths and serious complications in Italy?

      Jon wrote about it too:

      https://blog.nomorefakenews.com/2020/02/16/coronavirus-run-here-come-the-experimental-drugs/

    • blob says:

One more thing… I live in a country next to Italy and our health system is similar to Italian. My friend was in intensive care unit in an infectious disease clinic in the beginning of December, when there was no corona virus panic yet. There were too many patients for the clinic to handle so people were lying in the beds in the hallways. I cannot imagine what would happen to our clinic if corona virus panic happens here. The system might just collapse and the doctors go crazy. No revolutionary new disease needed – just a little extra panic.

    • D. Smith says:

Danny said: “This virus eventually attacks the lungs and many people end up needing to be intubated.”

So does pneumonia. So do MANY MANY Diseases which affect the lungs and entire upper respiratory system. THIS IS NOT NEW.

I do not understand why people are making this into something it isn’t.

Doctors are PAID to get people riled up and scared, that’s how they make their living, no??? They sell first fear, and then mostly useless, untested drugs.

I mean, really, people need to start using their heads about this “virus” thing.

  18. Jen says:

Watching all of this play out, I wondered for the first time in my life, can people actually be scared to death? I remember reading about witch doctors, and how the tribal people were so afraid of the witch doctor that one gesture from his pointy finger was a sure death sentence.

Now I’m seriously wondering if fear, appropriately used, could actually cause herds of people to die. It is a bizarre and pitch black contract that I want no part of. I learned hypnosis many moons ago, but this is another level entirely. Would love your thoughts on that, Jon.

Thanks once again for your work.

    • Plamen says:

Of course it can, think the placebo effect.

The opposite is called “nocebo effect”. It occurs when negative expectations of the patient regarding a treatment cause the treatment to have a more negative effect than it otherwise would have.

    • Jackie says:

Good point, Jen. I’d venture to guess that Jon would say this is a definite possibiity, given his interest in hypnosis, mind control and his deep association with the great Jack True (whoever that genius was).

Let’s stay calm and balanced, remember we’re eternal beings and connect to the wisdom within.

    • NC says:

“You are HIV+ and you have 3-6 months to live. Get your affairs in order.” What do you suppose THAT does to a trusting individual. It goes right into the subconscious and works to have the belief play out…
Contrast post surgery for cancer options:
      1. “We got it all…you’re going to be fine” (stimulates the immune system)
      2. “There was nothing we could do. You are going to die within months…(kills immune system)

      • Jen says:

That’s so true. Doctors and the medical establishment are in a position of authority, which helps with the subconscious acceptance of information, even if it is deadly. Still, success depends on a foundational ‘truth’ for that person, like if you get AIDS you’ll die. Everyone knows that, and so the doctor’s pronouncement of “You have AIDS” now calls up everything the person knows about AIDS and they are defenseless against so much information.

What I don’t understand is the mechanism at the national level. It seems like it would be different from at the individual level, but maybe not.

        Thanks for the great replies.

  19. Wayne says:

How can a computer model predict that coronavirus will sustain the same mortality rate? That’s ridiculous.

Coronavirus cases, around 100,000. Seasonal flu cases, world wide every year, 1 Billion.

So they’re trying to tell us that a simulation run a hundred thousand times is equal to a simulation run a billion times?

    • D. Smith says:

A computer “model” can’t do that, you’re right. As I said somewhere else around here, this whole thing is about selling fear, just as it is about every other year when the smartypants “experts” predict something else that will kill us all.

It’s all malarkey. Take proper care of yourself, particularly in the colder winter months (older people especially), eat well and don’t let the “experts” scare the living snot out of you! It’s what they do best – – they SELL FEAR.

  20. Amanda says:

Jon- Thanks so much for this–your site is the only one I visit these days. Everyone else seems to be promoting insane amounts of fear. I used to comment over at zerohedge a lot, but I gave up because of all of the fear porn.

    • NC says:

I joined Zerohedge when it was relatively new. Back then it was mostly financial, and the comment section was often more factual and astute than the articles. Over the last 5 years or so, it has sunk into a swamp of fear and bigotry. It’s as if it was taken over by spooks, Big Pharma trolls, and those entities who wish to divide people and create distractions from the central issues. I am amazed at how the site is acting as a center of fear in this phony baloney “virus” issue…

      • D. Smith says:

I agree totally with Amanda and NC. I, too, used to read at zerohedge, but have given it up for a lost cause in the past year. That site also peddles fear because evidently it sells.

Not to me, it doesn’t! I dropped them like a hot potato a while back. Jon is one of my main “go to” places to get REAL information, for sure. Mercola and a few others are into peddling their wares and I just don’t cotton to any of that nonsense. IMPO, Mercola has looked horrible for that past 5 years so if his “supplements” do so much good why does he look like death warmed over??

        Something not right there.

  21. Dave Kushin says:

I have agreed with Jon on this and have promoted similar views to my email lists, but one very intelligent person responded with this:

I need to be able to address this very specifically. Can anyone help?

    • Rtp says:

I’m not going to read the article but the simplest way to demolish the hysteria is to say:

“How did they know this virus was new?”

      • D. Smith says:

Sadly, in the past 48 hours or so, Trump has folded like a cheap suit and given in to the hysteria. Now the entire country is on “watch”. It was sad to hear and watch. (There’s a video out there but I can’t remember the name of the place where I read the article and saw the vid). Sorry, I just read too much stuff every day to remember it all !

  24. NC says:

Jon, You have been a truth hero for me for a long time. I was on the truth trail on HIV in the early 90’s or so when I ran across your writings. I devoured a 500 page book by Peter Duesberg which changed the way I thought about diagnostic Allopathic medicine. I remember how excited I was when I bought my huge volume of Internal Medicine, thinking back then that it was the most “advanced” so must be true. It was basically a huge list of groups of symptoms which were given fancy names (Latin sounds better). What struck me was that at the end of each Dis-ease was a statement “Of Unknown Etiology” or “Etiology Unknown” which is just a fancy sounding way to say “We don’t have any idea about the cause(s). Eventually I graduated to TCM and Ayurveda which are more truthful systems and based upon 5000 years of observations. But Allopathy with its cutting, burning and poisoning ways of treating disease rules, simply because tons of $ is thrown behind it. Yes, for emergency, broken bones, and plastic surgery, they shine, but treatment of chronic diseases sucks!
Ever since the days of the HIV scam, they have run on with PCR and other “tests” which do not work. And the people believe it and think that we “deniers” are nuts.
They call their world one of sanity, and they live in it, so they live in-sanity.
We deniers, by contrast, are out-sane…
    Thanks for your outsanity

  27. Tess Murdock says:

Maybe I might have missed something, but, has anyone thought of doing a graph showing the possible correlation of 5G rollout in these citie/s and the Coronavirus cases? I hear there are “relapses” now. As people begin to wise up this worldwide Shit show should begin to subside.

    • Tess Murdock says:

As Jon stated earlier, aren’t the people of Wuhan literally bathed in 5G radiation 24/7 now? And, prior to the “pandemic” how many people were checking into hospitals complaining of what? If some meaningful metric could be used in such a graph then perhaps we could show people something useful to stop this 5G rollout happening all over the world. Is this why China is on lockdown?

  28. From Quebec says:

    So,What do we have here?

    – The So called experts who create stupid computer models that never works. They are Always wrong.

    – The corrupted MSM who never miss the opportunity to mislead the peoples.

    – The gullible peoples who rush to the hospitals to find out if they have the virus, Lol Hospital are the worst place to go to, since all the germs and virus are there.

    • Republic Crat says:

Why is anyone even surprised at the depths of all this hysteria. It actually makes perfect sense – in the context of political history – to see how fanning these flames leads to a potential outcome:

      1) With the lion’s share of the media, and all of Hollywood fully on-board, they failed at getting Hillary elected

now bitter and inconsolable, they need a scapegoat:

      2) With all of the media, and all of Hollywood, and the House Majority Party fully on board, they failed to connect Trump to any election malfeasance

now much more bitter and self-righteously enraged:

      3) With most of the population on board, they failed to impeach Trump

now beside themselves with vengeful lust:

      4) With a robust economy, and unemployment at an all time low, and no electable candidate to oppose Trump . . . . what possible apocalyptic event could politically cripple him? Nothing but the destruction of the economy. Full scale panic and pandemonium accomplishes that.

And THAT is why the media fans the flames of pandemonium without restraint. For shame – but not surprising

  29. Laura says:

My brother was just saying today, “Hey, what happened with the Zika scare?” Et al, ad nauseam. When the BS has reached its threshold and the public becomes blasé and the profitability dies down, so does the deadly threat from the latest bogey-virus or -germ. Funny how that works out, every single freaking time. This is a special one though, this coronavirus, since we have a big election coming up in 8 months. Stock market terror, threats of a recession or depression, etc., along with Trump at fault for it all and for absolutely everything wrong in the world including this manufactured pandemic, and the dems could well be back in power again, and wouldn’t that make the Chinese govt. happy! Along with many others who are anything but our friends. Once again you’ve hit the nail on the head, Jon. Question is, who exactly is at the hub of all this disgusting fabricated turmoil and whose heads need to roll, figuratively speaking of course.
