Vegas cops change their story: Paddock shot security guard BEFORE mass shooting: huge new can of worms

LA Times: “Police said Paddock fired 200 rounds into the hallway” wounding a hotel security guard.

by Jon Rappoport

October 10, 2017

LA Times, October 9: “Police have dramatically changed their account of how the Las Vegas massacre began on Oct. 1, revealing Monday that the gunman shot a hotel security guard [in the leg through the closed door of his hotel room] six minutes before opening fire on a country music concert — raising new questions about why police weren’t able to pinpoint the gunman’s location sooner.”

The previous police story was: Paddock shot security guard Campos after he finished firing on the concert crowd.

The LA Times focuses on how this new information changes the timeline of events—in particular, the addition of minutes before police arrived at Paddock’s door.

Really? That’s the takeaway?

There is a far more serious question. Why did Paddock shoot the security guard through his hotel room door, with 200 rounds of ammunition (according to police), BEFORE starting to fire on the concert crowd?

Whether or not Paddock was using a silenced weapon to shoot the security guard, didn’t he think 200 rounds through a door might possibly alert people in the hotel to what he was about to do—kill people at the concert?

Security guard Campos, according to the Times, was on Paddock’s 32nd floor to check on an alert about another guest’s room door having being left open. Campos wasn’t there to check on Paddock. There is no indication Paddock was suspected of anything.

The new Vegas police sequence of events now goes this way: Paddock is in his room preparing to slaughter people at the concert; security guard Campos comes to the 32nd floor to check on a report of another guest’s door having been left open; Paddock sees Campos out in the hallway outside his door (using a camera Paddock had installed); Paddock fires 200 rounds through his door and hits Campos in the leg; leaving Campos there, Paddock then WAITS SIX MINUTES and begins firing through his broken window(s) at the concert crowd.

Perhaps the police will change their story yet again. Paddock didn’t fire 200 rounds through his door. He stepped out into the hallway and wounded Campos with one shot using a silenced handgun. He then left Campos there, went back into his room, waited six minutes, and then started firing on the concert crowd.

Or, after wounding Campos with one bullet, he paid Campos with a pile of casino chips and told him to wait in the hallway and say nothing to anyone for a half-hour.

Or he bound and gagged Campos after shooting him in the leg and stuffed him into a laundry closet in the hallway.

Or, the most popular tactic in these untenable and absurd stories: “Obviously, Paddock was crazy. There is no way to account for all his actions. We may never know why he did what he did.”

That usually works with the public. The police or the FBI paint themselves into a corner trying to hide the truth. They realize their latest version of events makes no sense. So they invoke the time-honored “we may never know” explanation.

If some reporter wakes up from his stupor and resists going along with the story, he’ll probably hear: “Yes, we’re looking into that. But we have no further comment at this time.”

Or most likely, any time.

Here is a reasonable assessment: since very early on, police had decided on this story: Paddock was the shooter; he was the only shooter; he wounded the security guard after he finished firing on the concert crowd.

But the fact that the security guard was wounded BEFORE the concert shooting was leaking out. People in Las Vegas knew about it. So the cops (or the FBI) decided they had to get out ahead of the leak, if possible. It would be better to change their story than wait and end up with egg on their faces.

And so far, it looks like they made a smart move. Because how many media outlets are pointing out how crazy the new story is?

Most importantly, how many other egregious lies are sitting under the previous security-guard lie? How many other devious twists and turns in the true tale are being hidden?

  1. Marilyn G. says:

What I picked up on last night, watching the Vegas sheriff stand before cameras and lie through his teeth, was how idiotically obvious the FBI guy, standing next to him, riding shotgun on him, was. The man in black even sported “that look” that they get, when conveying to onlookers: ‘Don’t mess with us.’ You know what, people? It’s Howdy Doody time.

  2. Underdog says:

yoshi shimatsu has a plausible scenario, only one that makes sense . Another fast and furious gone wrong with Paddock as the asset in the transfer weapons sting now IN CYA mode

  3. Abe says:

This is what I think happened. Paddock kick open the door, and told Campos “I’m your worst nightmare”. Then put 200 well placed shots into his leg. Grabbed his tack hammer and with one super human mighty blow busted out two indestructible windows. Then in Rambo fashion started hosing people left and right! Then he changed contact lenses so his eye color was wrong, shot himself in the head, and then threw some brass on his already dried blood.

The shootings at the other hotels are all lies. The active shooters on the ground are all lies.

Who would bring 1000 guns into a casino??? This whole thing sounds as stupid as driving an Abrahams A-1 tank into a police station and expect know one to notice.

The only thing I know for sure is there’s 2 broken windows and an unbelievable Rambo type geriatric.

    • elliottjab says:

But DO u know for sure – of the broken windows??? Mandalay is a film/movie set venue (Ninjas or summin).

LOTSA set stuff to emulate broken, bloody anything.

And I’ve been on the side if BIG BS … Since day uno…

Ur scenario is hilariously spot on!!!

      • Abe says:

Do you think the broken windows were projected imaging, or CGI? Like the planes on 9/11? Could be.

        • elliottjab says:

Afraid I do Abe. This whole ‘event’ smacks amateur everything; to me anyway. FBI = Freakin Butthead Idiots – and the local cops can be tossed into that same bin.

At least the Keystone cops were good for laughs on purpose – the ones ‘running this show’ are just laughable in their attempt to ‘convince’.

          • Abe says:

Well Like I said an “unbelievable Rambo type geriatric.” I don’t think Paddock could break those windows with that little tiny hammer. I don’t think he could do it with a 24 ounce hammer. An 8# would of killed him before he broke it. Those updates is nothing more than sewer gas.

I wouldn’t rule out PrICK or CGI. I haven’t ruled out pipsywobs or boot fairies. I am picking up the stench of the Wicked Witch of New York and her flying monkeys with Al-CIA-duh though.

The only thing dumber than running guns through a Vegas casino would be the Vegas PD. I wouldn’t rule out an inside job yet either. I do believe many were killed or wounded by shooters on the ground that came in through gate #7 next to the stage. Putin is also Plausible. LMFAO! Frankly I’m surprised they didn’t pull this out of there ass yet. That get away plan is hilarious.

    • From Quebec says:

      LOL, that was funny!

But, when you wrote: ( Then he changed contact lenses so his eye color was wrong,), you got me thinking.

Why is it that every time they show a picture of Paddock, his eyes are closed? Maybe the dead body eyes color on the ground does not match the color of the real Paddock. Why not? It could be, after all, we can expect anything from these lunatic idiots.

      • Abe says:

One picture did have his one eye open and it was brown, and should of been green, or visa versa. I’m colorblind so I couldn’t tell.
Now i’m hearing Compos was checking on a door alarm going off at Paddock’s room. I have my doubts on window alarms, but I do know they have door alarms if some one tries to gain a forceful entry. Now if and only if that’s true, I’d have to think there would be at least one person on that floor that would find that annoying and call the desk. this story get more ridiculous daily. I’m waiting for Paddock to have gotten away by flying out the window with the flying nun.

      • prof605 says:

Where is the no.13 tattoo? That is just under the Adams apple on Mr.Paddock in photo’s other than the dead guy photo?

      • Alex says:

When they repeatedly were showing Paddock’s photo with eyes closed I started wandering what are they trying to hide or project. Eye color might just be the thing.

  4. Dana Doran says:

Well, isn’t it just beginning to feel like anything the FBI has it fingers in isn’t going to make sense?

    • HencyY says:

There are some good people in the FBI, DHS and CIA. They kept away from the most evil, sinister ones. These compromised freaks are filled with demonic rage and revenge. They want power. Political power. They have no interest in law enforcement. They’re only working their as a cover and to use the training and resources to further their agenda.

      • Marilyn G. says:

HenryY—If these alphabet agencies had a right to exist, some way would be found to ferret out the bad seeds and kick them out. I’m of the opinion that the good guys in these agencies are by far in the minority. Would that I’m wrong.

  5. henry says:

Every time anybody moves outside of their room in Las Vegas hotels, they are recorded. All of the videos of Paddock from the time he checked in to the time the coroner removed his body should be released to the public. If they don’t, there will be doubts that the hotel/police/FBI are telling the truth.

    • Alex says:

With so many wealthy people in there it would be laughable to think that for the guests and the hotels security they would not monitor EVERYTHING. Doors opening/closing would be one such data collected. With data storage being cheap they probable hold this for a time that is measured in months if not years.

    • elliottjab says:

Henry – there will be righteous doubts if they are released… They’re feverishly doctoring all evidence now.. Vid & otherwise…

‘They’ did a better job of all the others… Bit off much more n they can chew with thissun..

  6. Larry says:

Let’s see if I have this straight:

A Mandalay security guard is shot by Paddock.

SIX MINUTES ELAPSE between the guard being wounded and the gunman opening up on 20,000+ concert-goers down below …AND NOT ONE HOTEL GUEST CALLS DOWN TO THE DESK TO REPORT GUNFIRE, OR THE SOUNDS OF THE GUARD HOLLERING FOR HELP???

(For that matter, isn’t hotel security in direct radio contact with HQ? Also, are they licensed to carry arms – another important question. Considering the large amounts of money and other valuables that – logically – must be in the Mandalay, armed guards would seem to be a sensible precaution.)

I gotta call BULLSHIT on this latest tweak to the Official Narrative.

No doubt an in-depth, logical, clear-eyed , articulate analysis by the mouthpiece of the globalists – the Mainstream News – is in the works as we speak.

    Yeah ….right.

  7. From Quebec says:

Good Lord! Where in hell do they find these peoples?

Is it from a cloud-cuckoo-land in some distant planet or what?

Or, are they freshly coming out from the Nut House asylum?

If this is the best that the cops and the FBI can do, this country is in big big, big, big, trouble.

It is time to drain the swamp and the sewer.

  8. Tucker McElroy says:

People who question the official narrative are mentally ill and will be prescribed an SSRI as soon as possible.
The good comrades of the FBI will pull rank on the local yokels of the sheriff department and what happens in Las Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas.
Globalist control freaks thought they could get away with anything after 9/11 and learned nothing from all the skepticism and revelations around Sandy Hook.

  9. Paul says:

Wow, this really does blow the bullshit story wide open. Paddock shoots 200 rounds through his door and NO ONE NOTICES!!!!!

    • Marilyn G. says:

Yeah Paul, ain’t that somethin’? Dang, that Paddock is just the damnedest thing!

    • woodcanoe says:

What in the world did he have for a weapon……a “belt fed”?

That’s quite a few mag changes in an AR!

Anyone ever hear an AR-15 fired inside a building? The AR is very LOUD. 200 rounds in close quarters like the corridor would have deafened anyone around. The racket could have been heard all over the building for sure.

I could smell bull s**t from the beginning. Now, with this story change, in midstream, the bull s**t is going to have to be cleaned up with a shovel.

Nothing but the sorriest pack of liberal liars on the freakin planet!

  10. elliottjab says:

You knoowww … Nuts as this nay seem – could these fools (FBI – et al) be ‘testing’ – to see how much tolerance/savvy we, us, the genuine USA’ers are willing to take this BS – FF crap???

Well – damn all their eyes – we are NOT willing at all… !!!

  11. John says:

He shoots 200 rounds at point blank range, and only hits one guy in the leg. Then, he turns around and in less than 10 minutes hits 600 targets, some fatally, from almost 1000 feet away. The public are saps who would believe anything.

    • From Quebec says:

Exactly, John, 200 rounds at point blank range, and only one bullet hit the leg of the security guard?

Oh Boy! This guy can’t even shoot straight,

      • Abe says:

I think Hillary and Soros had more to do with all the bloodshed than Paddock. Although I’m starting to think Paddock was a gun runner for Al-CIA-duh. I think The Powers That Shouldn’t Be are getting desperate. There plans are being foiled. To many here and world wide are on to them. Frankly I’m wondering why Hillary didn’t blame Putin instead of the NRA? I don’t even think people know the real reason behind the start of the NRA? To those I say read “No Guns for Negros” is one reason.

    • elliottjab says:

Geez – is that the guy who “stood in excruciating pain” to shake POTUS hand??????

    • Paris says:

Where did the 200 number come from? The Vegas cops? The FBI? If so why would they bloat and sensationalize the story any more than it already is. Was the shooter that hopped up on fear so as to shoot 200 rounds through the door? Maybe? How long does that take using the weapons he supposedly had?

      • CPP says:

“why would they bloat and sensationalize the story any more than it already is”

This. Exactly what I’m wondering. It’s like people on the inside are gaming the official story. And now Jesus Campos is MIA after being set to do TV interviews. It’s as though they want the public to believe there’s a cover-up, then see how people group around (or can be manipulated into) believing different versions of what they think actually happened and who was behind it. Either that or there’s something messy going on behind the scenes and the cover-up is being sabotaged.

  12. as seen on teevee says:

Breaking-A greasy haired punk teleprompter reader on das Teevee just revealed that “high roller” Paddock had access to the service elevator and that is how he moved hundreds of pounds of gear up 32 floors.

Theodore, I think that was sarcasm.

      • Alphabits Tidybowl 3COM Sports Arena says:

There is a reason why they didn’t stay at any of Wynn’s lodging in Las Vegas. He has been sounding the alarm about lax security since the spring when ISIS first made hints of planning an attack there.
At his hotels they do a check up on any guest who puts the do not disturb sign out for more than 12 hours, Maddock had his DND sign up for several days.

  13. pierre says:

so it then took the cops 80 minutes to get there now? (74+6). they now need to put sensors in the doors like the ones they already have in those outside windows that set off the alarms.

Is it poetic justice when one looks to the main stream bozo news clowns changing the facts of the story almost hourly and the die hard believers of that authority beginning to sound like conspiracy theorists in their comments and questions.

  19. Da vid says:

The story goes more like this
Paddock’s dinner guest shoots paddock with a silenced hand gun
then gets ready to shoot into the crowd.
Security guard passing by Paddock’s room hears the thump of Paddock hitting the floor and
and knocks on his door . shooter’s gun fires 200 rounds through the door thinking he is found out
after 10 minutes waiting he continues on with his mission.
Paddock ran guns to Mexican drug lords and ISIS under obama’s presidency
The rogue elements of the CIA would of wanted him dead to silence him.
you never let a crises go to waste all the country fans would of been nasty republicans in their minds and were the targets for the second part of the operation.
but Paddock was the most important primary target.
This makes a lot more sense than the lies we are being fed

  20. Aron says:

When asked by a reporter why the sherrif uses the term “the suspect” instead of simply calling Paddock by his name, the sherrif says, “I don’t want to sensationalize his actions. I believe if he doesn’t have a name, nobody can relate to him.”

Yes but sherrif, you’ve already stated he is the killer. He’s either a suspected killer or a proven killer, and you’ve made both contentions, but this is a contradiction.

Sherrif, maybe using the term “suspect” helps you keep the true events straight in his head. Helps with the freudian slips?

How long will it be before the “facts” in this guy’s head start to become jumbled and something telling does slip out?

  21. pedrofalls says:

Campos the security guard was the shooter, Paddock tried to stop him but was out drawn and out shot by Campos. Keep it simple stupid.

  22. name says:

there are 1000+ cameras working at any given time at malanday. you need whole crew just to operate. steve wynn admitted they kept dossier on paddock for 11 years. before cops arrived, security manager had clear info, because malanday was snatching paddock from wynn.

there was no need for hvac air pressure sensors to be activated once window broke, because there were at least 20 security guards outside who must have seen window being smashed. i want to know exact time of that, and what happened then.

  23. Alex says:

My take on this sudden changes is, THEY CARE LESS that it makes no sense. As per something Jon has written. They mix up the story with all kinds of nonsense to Confuse and Mislead. This way the Sheep will ,most of the time, just drop the whole subject and go on to eating grass. Intellectually it will be too difficult for them to unravel. The few that are resistant to the confusion are not worrisome to them up to the point that they do not affect the 80% of the herd.

  24. steven Lattimer says:

Slowly but surely it will come out that this was a pay per view mass casualty event. WHERE ARE HIS BROTHERS ?

  25. Judy says:

The official story has more holes in it than the door of room 32/135.

Apart from the many other discrepancies, why would he shoot someone through a door and not open it to make sure the person was dead? If that person did not shoot back at the door, it would be reasonable to assume that he was unarmed (the camera would probably show it too) and would not pose a danger if Paddock opened the door. So he just lets the person get away to lead others back to interfere with his plans.

He then smashes a huge, heavy plate glass window. Then…

    Scenario I

He turns off the light at some point (we don’t see any from outside), draws back the curtain, gets on his belly, shoots into the crowd using the mathematical equation he worked out just before, which compensates for the inaccuracy of a semi-automatic, bumpstock fitted gun, swaps out cartridges and guns, changes position to another room to shoot some more, all in darkness or with a tiny bit of reflected light from the alcove facing the entrance. He hears the SWAT team approach. Time to die. Closes curtain again, scoops up and discards most of the brass, walks over to the the little table without knocking over the propped up gun pointing at the armchair, sits down (with his back to the action in the hallway) on top of a gun, placing his left foot under the the other gun, puts the pistol into his mouth, pulls trigger and falls back, making the pistol summersault 2ft over his head, whilst his right hand flops to his chest or side, and the left arm falls neatly alongside his body. He then may have wanted to make sure that he was really dead and shot himself again in the mouth causing a second flow of blood.

    Scenario II

He leaves the light on. Gets on his belly with the billowing, incredibly fireproof curtain flapping about him and his hot gun. The rest more-or-less as before.

This attack, be it real or fake, is about overthrowing the Gov., the people, and the economy. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure this out. 28. Gloria Blanche Wood says:

Why is the security guard still alive….think about that….he should be dead

    • Marilyn G. says:

Gloria Blanche Wood — this entire Vegas story (that we’ve been handed) is, facing facts, more full of holes than a police target range bulls-eye. What I can’t understand is why the sheriff doesn’t order the FBI to get out of Dodge. A little known fact is that a sheriff has more power in his or (potentially) her jurisdiction than the federal government He doesn’t have to put up with their bullying! He could do a real investigation.

  29. elliottjab says:

And in Singapore – at the finer hotels at least – if u accidentally leave your door adjar for more than 3 or 4 minutes – you get 2 huge security personnel checking welfare… With firearms in view.

Well – that was early nineties – I was impressionable and not the hag I am now…. Haaaa…

  30. From Quebec says:

On Tuesday, Las Vegas Metro Police Undersheriff Kevin McMahill explained more about Campos’s actions the night of the shooting, helping fill in some of what happened ahead of the attack.

He told KNPR, a local NPR affiliate, that Campos went up to the 32nd floor to investigate a door alarm. While on the 32nd floor, he found that a stairwell door was jammed and radioed down to maintenance.

Campos heard a drilling sound and thought it was odd. A maintenance worker came up to the 32nd floor. As the pair started talking, Paddock began firing through the door of his room, first with a single-fire gun and then with a rapid-fire rifle.

Now, if this true, where is the maintenance worker who came up to the 32nd floor and started talking with the security guy, Campos?
It seams like he is nowhere to be found.

    • From Quebec says:

Who will win the trophy of incompetence? Will it be the MSM, or the Police?

    • Larry says:

“While on the 32nd floor, he found that a stairwell door was jammed and radioed down to maintenance.”

OK. So we know that Mandalay security is equipped with radios for direct contact with HQ. We also know that the Mandalay has high-speed elevators to the 32nd floor.

Assuming that the wounded guard immediately radioed in that he had been shot, and assuming that hotel security is licensed to carry weapons, and assuming that guests on the 32nd floor alerted the hotel to the sounds of gunfire (the shots that hit the security guard in the leg) ….

      This ain’t rocket science, folks.

I heard more cohesive fairy tales as a wee lad, sitting with my cousins at Granny’s knee.

  31. CPP says:

200 rounds…then he goes undisturbed…I guess this would be the “so ridiculous it must be true” technique. Seems a bit loony even for that.

    Also from LA Times article:

“They had credited Campos, who was shot in the leg, with stopping the 10-minute assault on the concert crowd…

“…and they now didn’t know why Paddock stopped his attack on the crowd.”

Check out the comments on the Times article. Many are not buying it. One good question asked was how can their investigation be trusted when they didn’t even have the right day that Paddock supposedly checked in?

    From the article:

“While initially they said he had checked in on Sept. 28, three days before the shooting, they now believe he checked in on Sept. 25.” They BELIEVE? What is this, an overcrowded hostel for student backpackers?

I get the impression that some on the inside are trying to make the official story look like BS. Question is, to what end?

Campos and the MGM maintenance man were the shooters. Paddock was used and shot before the actual carnage.
