Top ten reasons to doubt official story on Assad poison-gas attack

The sarin-gas attack story prompted the US missile strike on a Syrian runway. Here are the top ten reasons for doubting that story, and instead calling it a convenient pretext:

ONE: Photos show rescue workers treating/decontaminating people injured or killed in the gas attack. The workers aren’t wearing gloves or protective gear. Only the clueless or crazy would expose themselves to sarin residue, which can be fatal.

TWO: MIT professor Thomas Postol told RT, “I believe it can be shown, without doubt, that the [US intelligence] document does not provide any evidence whatsoever that the US government has concrete knowledge that the government of Syria was the source of the chemical attack in Khan Shaykhun…Any competent analyst would have had questions about whether the debris in the crater was staged or real. No competent analyst would miss the fact that the alleged sarin canister was forcefully crushed from above, rather than exploded by a munition within it.” How would a canister purportedly dropped from an Assad-ordered plane incur “crushing from above?”

THREE: Why would President Assad, supported by Russia, scoring victory after victory against ISIS, moving closer to peace negotiations, suddenly risk all his gains by dropping sarin gas on his own people?

FOUR: In an interview with Scott Horton, ex-CIA officer Philip Giraldi states that his intelligence and military sources indicate Assad didn’t attack his own people with poison gas.

FIVE: Ex-CIA officer Ray McGovern states that his military sources report an Assad air strike did hit a chemical plant, and the fallout killed people, but the attack was not planned for that purpose. There was no knowledge the chemicals were lethal.

SIX: At consortiumnews.com, journalist Robert Parry writes, “There is a dark mystery behind the White House-released photo showing President Trump and more than a dozen advisers meeting at his estate in Mar-a-Lago after his decision to strike Syria with Tomahawk missiles: Where are CIA Director Mike Pompeo and other top intelligence officials?”

“Before the photo was released on Friday, a source told me that Pompeo had personally briefed Trump on April 6 about the CIA’s belief that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was likely not responsible for the lethal poison-gas incident in northern Syria two days earlier — and thus Pompeo was excluded from the larger meeting as Trump reached a contrary decision.”

“After the attack, Secretary of State Tillerson, who is not an institutional intelligence official and has little experience with the subtleties of intelligence, was the one to claim that the U.S. intelligence community assessed with a ‘high degree of confidence’ that the Syrian government had dropped a poison gas bomb on civilians in Idlib province.”

“While Tillerson’s comment meshed with Official Washington’s hastily formed groupthink of Assad’s guilt, it is hard to believe that CIA analysts would have settled on such a firm conclusion so quickly, especially given the remote location of the incident and the fact that the initial information was coming from pro-rebel (or Al Qaeda) sources.”

“Thus, a serious question arises whether President Trump did receive that ‘high degree of confidence’ assessment from the intelligence community or whether he shunted Pompeo aside to eliminate an obstacle to his desire to launch the April 6 rocket attack.”

SEVEN: As soon as the Assad gas attack was reported, the stage was set for a US missile strike. No comprehensive investigation of the purported gas attack was undertaken.

EIGHT: There are, of course, precedents for US wars based on false evidence—the missing WMDs in Iraq, the claims of babies being pushed out of incubators in Kuwait, to name just two.

NINE: Who benefits from the sarin gas story? Assad? Or US neocons; the US military-industrial complex; Pentagon generals who want a huge increase in their military budget; Trump and his team, who are suddenly praised in the press, after a year of being pilloried at every turn; and ISIS?

TEN: For those who doubt that ISIS has ever used poison gas, see the NY Times (11/21/2016). While claiming that Assad has deployed chemical attacks, the article also states that ISIS has deployed chemical weapons 52 times since 2014.

I’m not claiming these ten reasons definitely and absolutely rule out the possibility of an Assad-ordered chemical attack. But they do add up to a far more believable conclusion than the quickly assembled “Assad-did-it” story.

These ten reasons starkly point to the lack of a rational and complete investigation of the “gas attack.”

And this lack throws a monkey wrench into Trump’s claim that he was ordering the missile strike based on “a high degree of confidence.”

This may turn out to be a ‘false flag’ Presidency. For everyone – globally.

Cannot say it’s been ‘business as usual’. Which is what was ‘voted’ for.

      Great video!

    • Alan Grant says:

It’s funny how the presenter (who is a regular presenter on BBC Breakfast) just completely ignores what Peter Ford has just actually said and says “the sentiment that you’re talking about……chimes most with what Russia is saying”.”The sentiment that you’re talking about”! Now I don’t suppose for one moment that the presenter was briefed to say just that at an appropriate point prior to the interview, so as to undermine what Peter Ford had just said, and all that he says afterwards. No, no, no, surely not!

The presenter then immediately goes on to say “We heard from Michael Fallon, the Defence Secretary, he is convinced by the evidence sufficient that he backs this action” [WHAT evidence!] and then says “Why is it then that you are, if you like, a relatively lone voice”. And this is on top of how the presenter starts the interview by quoting Trump that Assad was responsible for the chemical attack, and then says that what Trump said was “a statement of fact”.

I have little doubt that Peter Ford had already done the interview with RT (and was up on youtube already with thousands of views an hour) which I posted on here yesterday (see below), so he was invited on to BBC Breakfast so they could do a demolition job on him.

What the presenter is in effect saying to the several million viewers or more who were watching is that ‘This guy is on the side of the evil Russians/Putin and believes their propaganda lies as opposed to the facts President Trump gave us and what our wonderful and totally trustworthy Defence Secretary has said, and is probably the only person on the planet outside of Russia who believes their propaganda lies, and is either a poor sad dupe or a Russian puppet’.

  4. People missed a major r4eason.people whgo love the Q

  5. People missed a major reason. Muslims who love the Quran will lie. That is what they have done for over 1400 years. How can people forget that?

  6. “subtleties of intelligence”…lol. Great..way too funny.

I fell of the chair and spilt my coffee, and scared the cat after reading that…have to remember to be a little more polite and ‘subtle’ with my saracasm, in my writing; tends to be funnier than the vulgar, maybe I could rid myself of my tendency to off-colored rhetoric.

Off course sometimes, there is no other way, you just need to call an asshole and “asshole”.
Not that I am saying that Tillerson is a anus orifice

Your Tillerson phrase was the kindest and gentlest, and most polite way you could say…Rex Tillerson is stupid. He can barely read a script…of course he’s an ‘Oil’ man, and they are not none for their silver tongues. As can be seen in his recent press conference with the rather adept, nuanced and sharpwitted and perfunctory Sergey Lavrov.

I have an 11th reason for “Top ten reasons to doubt official story on Assad poison-gas attack” …would you like to hear it?…all righty then…

I think it is the main reason…correct me if I am wrong.

It is the reason for the whole dam war, and I have placed it below; read at your own pace sir…this fine article written by the illustrious and I feel trustworthy RFK junior.
There are minor fallacies, but all and all, it is truthful.

Come to think of it, you have probably read it…so, ill stop any pretense, and exclaim it is to the benefit your fine audience.

Bobby J, hits the nail squarely on the head. I love reading his work, he father would be undeniably proud of him. And his Uncle John. We are in desperate need of politicians like these.

This whole debacle is a globalist pivot point; the isolation of Russia and a kick in political testicles. The globalists are relenting, and the cyber-war is escalating. But is not over by a long shot. They can’t keep these things under cover for decades anymore.

      • Jonathan Hughes says:

The story made Trump to do the attack. SISI played off of Trumps desire to be good to all life presenting him with a lie. They made Trump think he was doing a good thing doing what he did. I told Trump to reject Sisi and even to have him slain. People ought to know what God wanted to happen to prophets of Baal. Sisi who respects the Quran is respecting the gold and gem covered Satan. I know the truth.

      • JoAnn Dolberg says:

Jonathan Hughes: I agree with you.

        • artiewhitefox says:

That is good. Trump was influenced by a liar. It was a straight faced lie. Muslims who admire the Quran have honed that deceptive skill passed down one generation after another. The Muslim knew that Trump valued life using that to make Trump think that Assad gassed the Syrians. It was a ploy to bring what Muslims think is Armageddon. That won’t happen till after the second resurrection when all of the lost and saved will be on the earth all at one time. The lost get burned up in God’s light making them to look like a lake of fire.

  11. Rich says:

BS, the documentation was done by & of people on site experiencing the incident in real time vie wireless connections! In other words “EYE WHITNESSES”! So why haven’t you interviewed them in Syria & get the facts from the horses mouth or are you afraid of the Sarin gas you allege is a hoax.

  12. pax1sw says:

I’ve come to the same conclusions as have you, and completely agree with your analysis. Assad had everything to lose and nothing to gain by perpetrating that gas attack. His father was a shrewd, highly intelligent politician who managed to play the major power countries like fiddles, so now we’re supposed to believe that man’s son is a mental defective bent on committing global political suicide, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory? It’s a completely ludicrous conclusion that Assad was behind something so stupid as giving his enemies a gift like that.

Rush, explains how Trump thinks, and I must admit that this is a brilliant way of understanding Trump<s moves.

I feel a lot better now, because what he said seems quite realistic.

I hope some of you people here will listen to the show and gave me feedbacks.

He starts the explanation at the very beginning of the show:

    • pax1sw says:

Good analysis and one I’ve known from the first, that Trump wasn’t Right or Left, he was Business. Some might prefer the term: pragmatist, or realist. That said, I’m not happy with where his idea of “winning” on the world stage seems to be. When it comes to actual blow-stuff-up conflict, it appears his focus is otherwhere and he’s relegating and delegating. Not good. You relegate and delegate business side-deals, not sovereign countries or human lives.

I pulled this article link from somewhere around here, but can’t remember where, anyway, it’s pertinent and scary. My earnest hope is I’m completely wrong, because it creeps me out, but it looks close enough to what Trump (our those to whom he’s delegated) seems to be doing to put my teeth on edge:

Thanks for the feedback. I sort of agree with you. Still, we will see if the Trump way of thinking is any better than the usual crooked politicians who lead us to this complicated situation.
        Time will tells!

        • pax1sw says:

You’re welcome. 🙂 Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I think Trump is crooked, and he’s certainly not a politician; just as Rush said, he’s a businessman doing business deals, using leverage, dealing from strength. My worry is what the final goal of his deal-making is, what he considers “winning”, and what he’s ready to “give up” (the extras he added expecting from the first to sacrifice them) in order to accomplish his planned goals.

    • Greg C. says:

Good explanation. I distrust a man who relies too heavily on principles for his actions, because it shows a man who distrusts his own judgment and vision. Letting principles be your guide at all times can be like navigating your car by compass or electronic device. If the bridge is out, you don’t try to go over it. And you don’t say, “I can’t break the law by driving in reverse on this road, so I have to go ahead.” And there are a lot of bridges out in this crazy political world.

We can all admire Ron Paul, who consistently voted NO on anything that violated principle, but did he change the direction of the world, or just be a human speedbump?

      • I think you mistoke want ron represents…Ron Paul serves as a giger-counter

        • Greg C. says:

… and what we really need is the bomb squad. It’s great that he has helped to wake people up, along with many independent journos, but the world doesn’t just magically change when we reach critical mass of wakefulness. Someone has to go in to the nerve center of power and expertly reconstruct it. Voting in congress is good, but the vermin are now resistant to voting. Judges stop us from getting what we voted for. Party leaders craft, change, and amend the content of bills in secret. We’re not going to get more freedom from having votes about it. Short of revolution, a president who knows where he’s going and can manage the vermin in Washington to get us there is our only hope.

The bombing was a mistake, but it looks like he is correcting it. N Korea must be stopped – that’s high priority. Only a president can handle that. Trump’s not the president of the world, but someone has to have the guts to defuse that nuclear threat. Watch and see. If he succeeds, his approval rating will double.

          • Michael says:

I had big doubts about Donald Trump going in…but, I am aware enough to realize that the slap in the head to wake people up, has done to most, a good thing in the now apparently waking…a good turn. But all for naught…

Politically I was almost convinced, about Donald Trump, but I see clearly that there is no POTUS. The office doesn’t exist…

The quick succession of changes in the period since he has entered office is good.

I believe the PTB allowed that…and have said, “Ok Donald you fulfilled your promises to your voters, to the degree that it is acceptable to us; to a certain extend, but now, it’s time to get down to busy, here is how it goes…we seek world dominance; we seek a global hegemony.”

This recent NeoCon talk; he has never been afraid to speak his mind before. It’s obvious, they took him in the back room, and showed him the JFK assassination from the assassins POV. There is something in his voice, that was never there before. The words are pretentious and pale to the Donald Trump prior to Nov/2016…”The poor, poor little babies..” Sentimental garbage, scripted words.

He has done a complete 180 from November.

The chipping away at his power base has been disturbing, the bombing is a WTF moment Greg. I think invasion is next.

Donald is , “THE PRESIDENT NOW”….and that is going to be a serious problem with that ego.

I think he sold out or compromised for a seat at the big table, I would not be surprised to see him leave office, in four years and like an Al Gore jump on something like “A climate change issue” and turn whatever wealth he has into a Mega-Fortune. The next move is to become a Trillionaire, money ‘IS’ the drug for Donald. Business is his Art.

Ron Paul: I agree with you totally, but he does serve as a giga-counter of how radiative we are becoming in politics…Ron Paul is a good man, and so therefor shows how far we have fallen.

He is not a President; what ever that is…”I believe it is a Manchurian thing now.”

We’re way past crazy now Greg, we are into a new area of ridiculous, and absurd. We are into psychopathology and sociapathology as the normal operating state.

The inmates have truly taken over the Asylum; they are the nurses and the doctors and the janitors the gardeners and the administrators, and the high level beaurocrats. And finally a President.

Admit it he has gone mad. This is not the same man.

            History stopped in 1963…

          • Greg C. says:

Michael, you could be right. We are all looking for patterns, consistency, and meaning in the recent events, and it’s a stretch, no matter which way you turn. For sanity’s sake, most of us still have hope that the country will be a better place to live 4 years from now. What else is there to hope for? We’re not going to get Tom Jefferson resurrected, and suddenly everyone is a constitutionalist. By the way, the constitution was adopted only through some political trickery – bypassing the Continental Congress. And most people never heard of the Declaration until 20 years afterward. In a sense, our original government was born out of a “deep state” – closed door conclaves and all that.

Frankly, I’d like nothing better than to go live in a cabin without the internet or TV, and let all this go.

      • From Quebec says:

Yep! You are right, Greg. Following principle stops you from thinking outside of the box.
And thinking outside of the box is what can changes things.

          • Michael says:

            @gbsk

All Muslims are terrorists. Mohammed was a pedophile who raped little girls, and that inspired pedophilia in his fanatical inbred followers. He was a misogynist desiring the subjugation and submission of all women. The ideal of a Harem is Mohammedan, rather than Islamic, it sees a woman as chattel. Islam in its politics through the Quran is a document of conquest, savagery and the destruction of the infidel, and what is an infidel? Why anybody who does not believe in Allah.  And that is according to Allah and implemented by his pedophile prophet Mohammed; and the subjugation of woman is the birthright of man. As woman is by birth a lesser.

There is a reason why the muslim takes a head; beheads…

“Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks until, when ye have routed them, making fast of bonds; and afterward either grace or ransom ’til the war lay down its burdens. (47:4)”

It is specifically, the punishment for being a non-believer, in Islam, one is non-believer, on who not allowed to not believe in Allah. A non believer is an infidel. And terror must brought on and his, the fear of Allah and his punishment for his inferiority.

Punishment in this manner…this way of killing, gained its true expression during the Ottoman Empire, a terribly bloody period of Euriopean history, a period in history which brought a dark age to Europe. There are historic accounts of the Muslim, piling heads higher than Saracen can reach, while sitting on his horse.

I am Irish and a racist, against your kind, don’t take it personally, its…part of my culture. A muslim is an inbred; marrying first cousins for too many centuries has caused his insane fanaticism.

You are a brain washed fool…

Jesus even thought I am not Christian was a man of peace and love, “He who is without sin , cast the first stone.”

Not “Lets stone the bitch she is a whore.” which is the position of the inbred worshipper of a pedophile.

Buddha was a theocrat, who politicized Bonpo,  Sikh gurus, I’m sorry we’re all filled up here…besides, they are way too creepy, nd even more inbred, by all accounts, 70% inbred.

That’s a brand new WordPress account you have, with no posts…are you say a paid blogger from India.

I know quite a few Muslims and none of them are terrorists. In fact they are very peaceful people with good family values. That shoots your theory of “all Muslims”. Guys like you are responsible for fake news.

I don’t think Assad launched a chemical attack on his own people. I don’t think the chemical was sarin because of the lack of protective clothing. I think the video is being shown to be highly inflammatory because they’re showing children when they never show even adult victims of terrorism attacks (Paris, 9/11, etc.) When all the media and politicians line up in agreement, it’s a sure sign it’s a lie and they’re all getting a reward.

My best guess on Trump is that either he’s just worn out and has given up, letting the Kushners be President or the “deep state” finally dug up something he doesn’t want known. Maybe he visited Epstein’s pedophile island (I don’t think Trump is a pedophile or even into underage girls), maybe they manufactured something and threatened him with its release. He also has kids and a wife to protect. He knows the media will bite on what they’re told to bite. Sure didn’t take long.

Just five days before the ‘chemical attack’ the US ambassador to the UN said at a press conference that regime change in Syria is not a priority, and on the same day in Turkey Tillerson said the “long-term future of Assad is for the Syrian people to decide”.

So Assad then goes and and drops chemical weapons on innocent civilians.Yeah, of course he did! Anyone who believes THAT is either living in cloud-cuckoo-land or a paid shill pretending they believe it.

Nikki Haley – to quote her exact words – said the following:

“our priority is no longer to sit and focus on getting Assad out.”

But what I actually wanted to add is that what she said, and what Tillerson said, were in fact a Blind, as was Trump’s America First speech, which was just one Big Lie from start to finish.

PS And I meant to say ‘entitled’ of course in my previous post.

The 2nd gas release (search under “Hatla village”) was more clearly a hit on a ISIS/white helmet depot.
Two separate clouds after the air-strike.
No follow up reports on this one no pictures of residue test being done in sandals for the nerve agent.
Initial reports had a much higher death toll and then media attention shifted to Afghanistan. Purely by coincidence we may be sure!
Things must have come to a grievous pass there when small fry local heroin production Not under the CIA franchise-requires a Nuke.
Would this be a warning to states legalizing cannabis- and not requiring a sign up to Monsanto/Reynolds/Bayer contract farming “protection”?
