In a previous article on Donald Trump, I wrote: “I think Trump favors jobs, all jobs, and will go to extremes to create them…He’ll find ways to allow the FDA to license new drugs more quickly, thus maiming and killing more Americans. He’ll cast a blind eye toward big corporate toxic GMOs/pesticides.”
I want to strengthen that warning.
First of all, the FDA isn’t being too careful in their drug approval process, as Trump team members suggest. It’s the opposite. The FDA is in the pocket of pharmaceutical companies. The president-elect should take notice of the famous July 26, 2000, review in the Journal of the American Medical Association, by Dr. Barbara Starfield, a revered public-health expert at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
Starfield concluded that FDA-approved medical drugs kill 106,000 Americans a year. That would be 1.06 MILLION deaths per decade. Speeding up their drug-approval work now, the FDA would add many MORE dead Americans to their “credit.”
On the issue of GMO/pesticide safety, I could cite many references which eradicate the official claim that these substances are safe. But let’s look at the primary facts surrounding the original approval of GMO crops (and their attendant pesticides) in the US.
When you cut through the verbiage, you arrive at two key statements. One from Monsanto and one from the FDA, the agency responsible for overseeing, licensing, and certifying new food varieties as safe.
Quoted in the New York Times Magazine (October 25, 1998, “Playing God in the Garden”), Philip Angell, Monsanto’s director of corporate communications, famously stated:
“Monsanto shouldn’t have to vouchsafe the safety of biotech food. Our interest is in selling as much of it as possible. Assuring its safety is the FDA’s job.”
From the Federal Register, Volume 57, No.104, “Statement of [FDA] Policy: Foods Derived from New Plant Varieties,” here is what the FDA had to say on this matter:
“Ultimately, it is the food producer who is responsible for assuring safety.”
This buck-passing, the direct and irreconcilable clash of these two statements, is no accident. It’s not a sign of incompetence or sloppy work or a mistake or a miscommunication. It’s a clear signal the fix was in.
There was no science to back up the claim that GMOs were safe.

My belief, at the moment, is that Trump will screw all this up completely. His focus on jobs and the economy will lead him into doing grave damage—just as Obama has, just as Hillary Clinton would have.
The corporate media, their corporate experts and allies, and their government friends have low-keyed the whole GMO-pesticide-FDA horror show for a long time.
We need a president who will go against the tide.
On these issues, Mr. Trump, through ignorance, inattention, unconcern, whatever, is on the verge of becoming a Big Pharma Big Biotech shill.

There are several reasons why GM plants present uniquedangers. The first is that the process of genetic engineeringitself creates unpredicted alterations, irrespective of whichgene is transferred. This creates mutations in and around theinsertion site and elsewhere [54]. The biotech industryconfidently asserted that gene transfer from GM foods wasnot possible; the only human feeding study on GM foodslater proved that it does take place. The genetic material insoybeans that make them herbicide tolerant transferred intothe DNA of human gut bacteria and continued to function[55]. That means that long after we stop eating a GM crop,its foreign GM proteins may be produced inside ourintestines.
GM DIET SHOWS TOXIC REACTIONS IN THEDIGESTIVE TRACT
The very first crop submitted to the FDA’s (Food & DrugAdministration) voluntary consultation process, theFlavrSavr tomato, showed evidence of toxins. Out of 20female rats fed the GM tomato, 7 developed stomach lesions[56]. The type of stomach lesions linked to tomatoes couldlead to life-endangering hemorrhage, particularly in theelderly who use aspirin to prevent blood clots [57]. Dr.Pusztai believes that the digestive tract, which is the first andlargest point of contact with foods, can reveal variousreactions to toxins and should be the first target of GM foodrisk assessment. Mice fed potatoes engineered to produce theBt-toxin developed abnormal and damaged cells, as well as
proliferative cell growth in the lower part of their smallintestine (ileum) [58]. Rats fed potatoes engineered toproduce a different type of insecticide (GNA lectin from thesnowdrop plant) also showed proliferative cell growth inboth stomach and intestinal walls.
GM DIETS CAUSE LIVER DAMAGE
Rats fed the GNA lectin potatoes had smaller andpartially atrophied livers [59] Rats fed Monsanto’s Mon 863corn, engineered to produce Bt-toxin, had liver lesions andother indications of toxicity [60]. Rabbits fed GM soyshowed altered enzyme production in their livers as well ashigher metabolic activity [61]. Rats fed Roundup Readysoybeans also showed structural changes in their liver [44].
GM FEED ANIMALS HAD HIGHER DEATH RATESAND ORGAN DAMAGE
The cells in the pancreas of mice fed Roundup Ready soyhad profound changes and produced significantly lessdigestive enzymes [62]; in rats fed a GM potato, thepancreas was enlarged [60]. In various analysis of kidneys,GM fed animals showed lesions, toxicity, altered enzymesproduction or inflammation [61-63]. Enzyme production inthe hearts of mice was altered by GM soy, [61] and GMpotatoes caused slower growth in the brain of rats [60].
REPRODUCTIVE FAILURE AND INFANTMOTALITY
The testicles of both mice and rats fed roundup readysoybeans showed dramatic changes. In rats, the organs weredark blue instead of pink. In mice, young sperm cells werealtered [64]. Embryos of GM soy-fed mice also showedtemporary changes in their DNA function, compared to thosewhose parents were fed non-GM soy [65].

We adopted three guinea pigs who were previously fed gmo grains and pellets, no one makes an organic feed for rodents. I took them off of the crap and only gave them organic, the two older ones both developed huge tumors and the youngest, who had the least exposure has none.

Way too early to have these concerns about Trump. His vision is much wider than just jobs. But he needs to overcome the enormous negative press, and get congress on his side, and jobs is the logical place to start. It’s all about strategy, and timing. I just finished Art of the Deal, and that book made me appreciate his genius in those areas, and boosted my confidence in his abilities.

Trump hasn’t signed in yet and already his “empire” is crashing around him. He said what Bernie said in a way that people wanted to hear. No one really believed he would deliver. Some hoped he would, but never really believed it.
As the countdown runs, the signs are bad…..

Unfortunately all biotech seed developers and pesticide makers use the philosophy of “sacrificing lives for profit is good”. These companies test only to make sure there is no acute toxicity, such as happened with the synthetic L-tryptophan by Showa-Denko (deaths) and Starlink corn (severe allergic reactions requiring medical attention). They do not concern themselves with chronic toxicity, which shows up after 10-20-30 years of consumption of GMO crops with pesticides in the form of organ failures, cancers, and other chronic deadly diseases. Their approach to chronic toxicity is “don’t look, don’t find, don’t tell”.

The real acid test on “Non Gmo,Non Herbicide”-Will be the loop holes already Not closed. GM Watch and the ecologist have reports on a new rat study linking Glyphosate with liver damage(Rats,2 year study.) at far lower levels than previously indicated. Which goes a long way to backup observations on mortality of steam engineers when it was a boiler scale remover-Lots of cancer and liver failure. These would be levels in all food(and water,air) from dust residues in even well cleaned transport and processing plants. So transport interests as well as the pharma/food banking whoreocracy come into play. Since both candidates were and are owned by the same circumsized tapeworm mafia-I would expect less than anything useful too be done. Just more grist for the extortion scams.
