Washington Post-CIA connections destroy Post’s “election-hack” claim

by Jon Rappoport

December 12, 2016

“The CIA says” is never a great way to start a sentence. But that’s the basis of the latest charge that Russia hacked the US presidential election.

Members of Congress have now been secretly briefed by the CIA on “the Russian affair,” and media, led by the Washington Post, are running with the story that Russia influenced the US election on the side of Trump.

Until and unless the denizens of Langley decide to show specific and convincing evidence for their claim, this is disinformation.

It’s easy to assemble a circumstantial case. But each case has to be judged on its own merits, and the devil is in the details. If we aren’t privy to those details in the “Russian affair,” no judgement is possible. Of course, major media outlets don’t seem bothered by that. They’re happy to cite the CIA as an authority—conveniently ignoring the fact that people in the intelligence field are taught to lie. It’s their stock in trade.

You might remember the Washington Post’s role in defaming and destroying Gary Webb, who, in 1996, published a series of articles in the Mercury News about the CIA seeding black Los Angeles neighborhoods with crack cocaine. The Post basically asked the CIA whether the charge was true, and when the Agency denied it, the Post attacked Webb as a “fake news” reporter. The same Washington Post is now leading the campaign to tie the Russian government to Hillary Clinton’s defeat. And the Post, once again, is using unproven statements from the CIA to back up their claim.

I could go on and on about the Post and its historic CIA ties. But now, right now, the owner of the Post is Jeff Bezos, who also owns Amazon. And Amazon has a $600 million contract to provide the CIA cloud computing services (more here and here).

Boom.

Ordinarily, that would be called a fatal conflict of interest, whenever the Post opens up its yap about the CIA in any context.

However, mainstream news outlets, the very big ones, don’t go around criticizing each other’s ownerships; so the Bezos-CIA relationship is conveniently ignored and left “in the past.”

An honest lead paragraph on the current Russia-CIA-Trump allegations in the Post, however, would start this way:

“Our paper is owned by Jeff Bezos, and Jeff is making $600 million to provide the CIA with computing services, so take everything below with a grain of salt the size of Langley.”

Going one step further, Amazon and the CIA are both in the data-collecting business. What are the chances that Amazon, in the interest of “national security,” has been sharing its massive customer data with the CIA and other US intelligence agencies?

This should lead to another conflict-of-interest statement from the Washington Post: “As you read any article in our paper, keep in mind that our owner may be data-mining you and passing the information to the CIA. Have a nice day.”

Am I being too hard on Amazon? Do they have the basic guts to stand up to the intelligence community and resist its demands? Here is what author Norman Solomon had to say about that in 2014 (Huffington Post):

“Amazon’s trajectory into the CIA’s spooky arms may be a bit more than just corporate eagerness to land a lucrative contract. In late 2010 — amid intense public interest in documents that WikiLeaks was posting to illuminate U.S. actions overseas — Amazon took a notable step. As the Guardian reported at the time, Amazon ‘pulled the plug on hosting the whistleblowing website in reaction to heavy political pressure.’

“It didn’t take much for Amazon to cave. ‘The company announced it was cutting WikiLeaks off … only 24 hours after being contacted by the staff of Joe Lieberman, chairman of the Senate’s committee on homeland security,’ the Guardian noted.”

Let’s see. In 2010, Amazon cuts off WikiLeaks, proving its willingness to cave to the intelligence community.

In 2013, Jeff Bezos, the owner of Amazon, buys the Washington Post.

In 2016, during the presidential campaign, WikiLeaks releases tons of email data exposing Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee, and associated players.

In 2016, after Clinton loses, the CIA—now Amazon’s business partner, and by extension, the Washington Post’s business partner—tells the Post that Russia influenced the election on behalf of Trump, and also implies/asserts that Russian hackers supplied Wikileaks with those tons of email data…

And the Washington Post accepts what its business partner, the CIA, is saying at face value and then leads the charge to blame Russia for handing the election to Trump.

The Post doubles down and absurdly accuses numerous sites and blogs of being a) “fake” and b) conscious or unconscious dupes of the Russian government.

A nice neat package.

Who exactly is the fake news outlet?

Thank you, Jon, for this very needed article! Especially in times of great national patriotism when it´s more likely that many individuals fail to recognize that their own government may be corrupt enough to lie openly to its citizens without any evidence of truth to their statements.

This goes all the way back to before WWI and now is in the places needed to further their nefarious causes where they believe it necessary to rule firstly, the greater Israel Project, and then on into an eventual One World Government. #America’s Trump Revival : There is a Cancer in the Land, and It is #Global #Zionism http://getrightorgetout.blogspot.com/2016/12/there-is-cancer-in-land-and-it-is.html?spref=tw

The most pressing question today: Is Trump a champion of the people or just another decoy to maintain continuous totalitarian control of humanity?

    • Greg C. says:

Aw, c’mon. The question should be, “Are some people posing as freedom lovers really just conspiracy theorists?” You can tell who they are – they are the ones who think that the NWO will inevitably win, that we are all doomed. No different than the climate alarmists, except the agent of doom is Trump, or it’s a tossup between Trump and Niburu on alternate weekdays.

Thanks Jon… Though I’ve known much about Bezos/WaPo/Amazon, this piece really up-ticked my education – particular the rancid CIA connection.

It’s a horror (for a very long time now) realizing how septic our country has become – from within; and general inability to reset. Travesty, is a word that only in part describes this whole mess.

Will President elect Trump and his family be able to weather this sh*tstorm? If they were pretty ‘regular’ people I’d say no. But they aren’t and perhaps they’re overall deep involvement in their personal empire building will have given them the kind of opportunities to grow steel skin.

    Am hoping and watching.

So far he’s tackling this head on with his surprisingly good humor & enormous business sense. He cannot help but try to do his best against a tsunami of resistance from many parts of the globe as well as the swamp dwellers in DC, Langley, Pentagon, NSA and the rest of the acronymic idiots.

AND – how strange the noise of the publication coming out if China. The writer ‘reads’ very ”American’ style – as in WaPo. The commentary is very aggressive anti-Trump everything and could easily be plugged into any of the MSM’s.

Inflammatory – & the Chinese government seems to agree with the publication.

Yet Trump’s responses & observations per Sunday Fox interview are calm, reasonable, considered.

So – it appears China is also very much of the One World Order thrust as well.

This little kerfuffle over the Russkis, “fake news” and the new “law” smells like an ongoing internecine war between intelligence agencies. One thing for certain, all this media bullshi*t has taken “Pizzagate ” off the front burner. (Doncha wonder how many senators and Congress persons love pizza?) Trump’s long time ties to the Rothschilds (see resort business ties) and the Khazars who run NYC (member hymie town?), fail to qualify him as a reformer of anything. He is however a great catalyst for disrupting any unity this country had in the past; as ever “divide and conquer”.

Jon, thank you for this article. You are one of the FEW non fake news sources out there. yet…… (eyesroll in frustration) even some of my best friends BELIEVE “it’s the Russians!” . There must be something about people that allows them to believe an UNRELIABLE source. Right after they have been proved to be so. They WANT to believe. It’s like a religion….and YES there is something about Pizzagate that warrants further investigation, not the least of which Why does Saudi Arabia own all those connected businesses? One is called (the FINDERS), really. After reading Ponerology and knowing that psychopaths not only recognize each other instantly, but can and do organize and hunt in packs……i am glad of every opportunity to seek truth.

We now have a governmental tyranny that will create “law” and use the “law” as a weapon to enforce its agenda. Unchecked power is the new norm, unchecked power which which has corrupted absolutely beyond what anybody could have ever imagined. Citizens are now in fear of speaking out thanks to a tyranny which no longer has any checks and balances. Where are the good guys, the whistleblowers, who is watching the watchers ?

“There is no greater tyranny than that which is perpetrated under the shield of law and in the name of justice.” -Montesquieu-

The internet, the patriot act, the new weapons of despots now being used to usher in the era of tyranny where free speech becomes obsolete. An era where the citizenry no longer is made up of individual people but a hive. A hive of worker bee drones whose primary function is to serve the state and to be used like a robot. We as humans now willfully stand in silence and accept our obsolescence without any true emotion whatsoever. Passive non resistance is in vogue.

The stifling of free speech by this tyranny and its statist media is slowly becoming the norm. The final phase of the soft glove tyranny is now being played out in every facet of society. The human being has now devolved into a passive wuss, who covers his/her eyes and ears and who now has become willfully ignorant to tyranny. We have all become like frightened children, consumed with meaningless things. Children who play with “toys” waiting for the new toy/cell phone/computer/gadget to continue our existence within an illusion. Dependent now on the corrupt system to feed us what we “need.”

I guess existing in a nation of tyranny is better than not existing at all? A citizenry which has been intimidated into silence by a government so corrupt and drunk with power, I guess deserves what it gets?

The acceptance of a MSM so brash, arrogant and narcissistic, a media that now has the hubris and audacity to tell us the lies and fabricated propaganda in which they spew trumps facts and truth.

A society which has thrown away logic and critical thinking deserves to live in a tyranny. For living in a republic with liberty and freedom requires work, it requires vigilance, it requires adherence to the rule of law, it requires accountability for those who break the law, it requires substance and virtue. It requires real community involvement, a ground game. We need to get involved beyond the keyboard and start making a real difference. Educate your fellow citizens and for God’s sake, stop whispering when you are out in public. We are the ones with the truth, we don’t need to be ashamed. The globalists and their sycophants need to be exposed and mocked, they should be ashamed but have no shame. Inverse reality is a “beach”……..

    • IMNAHA says:

While our founding fathers were far from perfect they were smart enough to realized that to avoid violence the citizens needed a way to air their greivances (other than witing letters to their representatives). That process is now pretty much a dead letter. The question now is: have citizens been dumb down to the point where they no longer care about the goings on of their psychopathic deep state, or can a PEACEFUL and effective means of redress be recreated?

      • John says:

The simple art of human conversation, enlightening your fellow man with facts. Point out to him/her some websites, some news articles, some tv/radio broadcasts and or some books.

Don’t come on strong, just tell them to investigate what is happening for themselves. Tell them to check things out using multiple sources. Just getting them to read the US Constitution would be a great start. Challenge them to think for themselves, that is all one can do.

I would recommend Steve Deace’s book, A Nefarious Plot, about 175 pages, short and to the point, about where we are as a country right now, how we got there and where we might be going.

  10. I want to print this article out in color and frame it. Gary Webb, the Post, the CIA… it’s all there.

As Jon knows all to well (and I’m sure he can elucitate much more than I), the Post’s affiliation with CIA goes back at least to the days of JFK. There is sufficient evidence in Peter Janney’s amazing book, Mary’s Mosaic:The CIA Conspiracy to Murder JFK, Mary Pinchot Meyer, and Their Vision for World Peace, to tie Ben Bradlee (WaPo editor circa 1968) with the CIA (which makes the whole “Watergate” story concocted by Woodword and Bernstein of Nixon’s demise a true fiction IMO). Janney himself could be considered a fringe CIA insider in that his father was CIA and he grew up with the Meyers in DC. See the movie, An American Affair, for the lite version.

Gary Webb lost his job, his family, and ultimately his life (he committed “suicide” by shooting himself in the head twice) because he told the truth about the governments’ agenda to raise money for CIA operations with drugs to back the Contras in Nicaragua (and possibly do a bit of eugenics work while they were at it). His four part series in the the San Jose Mercury News linked South American drug czars Norwin Meneses and Danilo Blandon to the MASSIVE importation of cocaine (I think “seeding” may be an understatement, Jon) into the south LA area and later to other major cities in the US. Later, his book Dark Alliance put Contra leader slash CIA agent Adolfo Calero in the oval office with Reagan and North with pictures to prove it. No great surprise in itself except for the fact that Calero was definitely an associate of Norwin Meneses with pictures to prove it. See Kill The Messenger for the lite version.

That, along with the “suicided” death of Philip Graham, who was owner of the post from 1948 until his death in 1963, is enough (for me at least) to see who is holding who’s tentacles. Phillip Graham had, what some might say, “loose lips” regarding JFK’s romances and probably a lot more. His wife, Katherine Graham, was the daughter of Eugene Meyer (no relation to Cord Meyer, husband of Mary Pinchot Meyer of Mary’s Mosaic) who gave publishing duties to Phil. Eugene Meyer was the first president of the World Bank. Katherine Graham took over the Post as publisher after his death. Read Katherine The Great by Deborah Davis available on Amazon but only in “used” condition. I guess Jeff Bezwacks would like to let this one die an unnatural death. There is no lite version as far as I know.

I can only end with a quote: “The universe is a war between reality programmers.” ~ Robert Anton Wilson

    • IMNAHA says:

Your Wilson quote is my new “favorite” quote. The thing most people don’t think about is that while intelligence agencies are literally programmers of reality, they are NOT monolithic in their goals and methods are often at odds with one another. The CIA, albeit best known, is but one intel agency vying for the money , the power and the control. Mossad, NSA DIA, Naval Intelligence,Opus Dei, the Saudi’s- the list goes on. So you have all these reality programmers, the question then becomes FOR WHOM and to WHAT END are they programming ? One of the most serious researchers (other than Jon), on these questions is Miles Mathis.

      • I agree. And even within agencies, the left hand often does not know what the right hand does. The question then becomes, “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?” (Who is watching the watchmen?).

Miles Mathis looks very interesting. One of my priorities is to look into the “holographic universe” theory.

Always convenient to blame Russia! The globalist are angry that their “done deal” was thwarted. So many are willing to believe that the globalist shill would make a better ” leader”.Guess we really are sheeple! I didn’t see either as a good choice. However, Trump may be a wild card, but what Clinton has already done is far worse than anything he has said. CIA is no more reliable or less corrupt than any other government agencies. CIA arming isis anyone? The liars lie and the media swears to it. It is chilling to hear friends and others I admire hoping for a reversal and quoting the mainstream narrative. I am keeping this Gandhi quote in mind.“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it–always.”
