Monsanto’s ally Pompeo to head the CIA: bad move, Donald

Trump has tapped Congressman Mike Pompeo to head the CIA.

In April of 2014, Pompeo introduced the bill that would become The Dark Act, banning states from passing laws mandating GMO labeling on food. Instead, The Dark Act introduces very weak and confusing federal GMO labels. Few people will pay attention to them or even realize they’re there.

I’m sure Monsanto execs are popping a few champagne corks right now. “Hey, remember Mike Pompeo? Can you believe it? He’s the new director of the CIA. If we need an extra helping hand taking over the world’s food supply, why can’t we call on good old Mike? Ha-ha…”

Mike is also a heavy supporter of the NSA’s surveillance programs: “Congress should pass a law re-establishing collection of all metadata, and combining it with publicly available financial and lifestyle information into a comprehensive, searchable database. Legal and bureaucratic impediments to surveillance should be removed.” (The Atlantic, 11/18/16)

Here’s what Mike had to say about Edward Snowden: “[He] should be brought back from Russia and given due process, and I think the proper outcome would be that he would be given a death sentence.” (Washington Examiner, 2/11/16)

Very bad move, Donald.

    Jon, when are you going to admit that Trump is a fraud? Do you need a few more dark appointments?

  2. Judy Aimers says:

    I was waiting for that. Although Trump is an outsider, he does not really perceive the threat that Pharma poses.

  4. I did warn you Donald might be a problem for Americans, Jon.

    You can’t have it “all ways”. Well, perhaps you can, but your politics won’t allow it. The only way to change the system is outright revolt.

    I suspect Donald will be behind a very much “re-jigged” TTP. As a “business man”, it’s in his interest and we all should know, a business man’s interests always come first.

    The shadow, or double government, has a powerful flow of continuity process, that has gone through many presidents….. , if Trump , who has no experience with this sort of thing, does not take charge, they will destroy him, use him up. His name/brand he so cherishes will never recover.

    Holy Toledo! All the closet anti-Trump are showing their real faces here.

    As far as I am concerned, Trump did not nominate Pompeo to be the Secretary of Agriculture.

    And, for the the NSA’s surveillance programs, Trump might have to need it for a while to get the criminal illegal people out of the country.

    If for some reason, Pompeo goes off the track, Trump will just fire him. don’t worry.

    So, what is the big upset here? Sounds a bit like the leftist protesters against the new President.

    • jacobite2015 says:

      Trump is starting to resemble the typical politician, i.e., promising things to get votes and then changing his tune after being elected…nothing new there. He’s already softening up on Obamacare. He’s not going to put up “The Wall.” He not going to round up the all the illegals and deport them. And in a 60 minutes interview, he says Hillary is “very smart,” that the Clintons are a “talented family”…and that he wouldn’t hesitate to ask for their advice:

      https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/11/12/donald-trump-on-60-minutes-hillary-clinton-couldnt-have-been-nicer/

      Too funny! Ask the Clintons, who he spent the last couple of years demeaning & insulting, for advice??? What happen to that tough guy who was going to keep those campaign promises? Maybe all an act? Perhaps an illusion?

      IMO, Trump only ran for President to sooth his ego. He’s got all the money in World, a young, gorgeous wife and golf courses in Scotland. As an Aristocrat he wants power and prestige…or as they say; “It’s good to be King.” I get the feeling that Trump has a distaste for the non-wealthy. Aristocrats are usually for the previlaged class…no surprises there.

      IMO, this was a bad election with two worthless candidates running for President. That’s why I’m a political atheist. 🙁

  8. Brian K says:

    I voted for him as the lesser of two evils, recognizing that presidents are basically middle managers in the NWO. Still, between Pompey, 9/11 co-conspirator Giuliani, and psycho neocon Bolton, it’s not looking good.

  9. From Québec says:

    Trump promessed that he would destroy ISIS.

    This is why Trump selected Mike Pompeo:

    • Brian K says:

      I’m pretty sure that ISIS is just another CIA/MI6/Mossad joint op, like Al-qaeda. Trump was all but saying exactly that early in his campaign, before he walked back on those statements. I want him to be an outsider, I really do. I’d feel a lot better if he was hiring people like Andrew Napolitano, or maybe Ron Paul, instead of business as usual DC types. I suspect Snowden of being a limited hangout/gatekeeper op, but if real, he should be pardoned, not prosecuted.

      • Lol

        Ed Snowdon is a [muck] spreader of CIA misinformation. Don’t you see the agonising irony that the head of the CIA to be claims he will purge his own asset? Rumours (and actions) have it “pompous” Pompeo is super-pro Israel, so going after ISIS must be the ultimate contradiction.

        As I said earlier have Israel/Pentagon/NSA/CIA finally combined?

        Does that mean a scheduled war with Russia to fulfil Armageddon prophecy and will that be on Israel’s turf? Golan Heights?

        If Trump has any true metal, he will INSIST AIPAC legally registers or disbands and all its propaganda is “pro-American” first.

  14. I can’t say I like Pompeo’s views on GMOs, Monsanto, or Snowden. Time will tell if Trump is truly a revolutionary reformer or just more of the same.

  15. Mike Warren says:

    Pompeo is the A-Typical DC political garbage. He was paid $1 Million to support obamaTrade and sell out America. Same modus operandi as Sessions. Trump should not surround himself with this garbage. Looks like we are still in trouble.

  16. From Québec says:

    Nobody is perfect, but here are some good facts about Pompeo and could justify why Trump named him:

    – Pompeo Wrote a Column in 2013 Declaring Obamacare a ‘Train Wreck’ & Called on Democrats Who Don’t Support It to Help Repeal It

    – Pompeo is a member of the House Select Committee on Intelligence and one of the most vocal critics of the Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Iran.

    – Though Pompeo is generally known for his opposition to Obama administration policies, he’s occasionally given heat to some fellow Republicans. Last year, his name was floated as a potential rival to Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin to become House speaker.

    – Pompeo was a member of the Tea Party.

    – Earlier this year, he briefly flirted with a primary challenge to Kansas Sen. Jerry Moran after the state’s junior senator appeared to break with Senate Republican opposition to Obama’s Supreme Court nomination of Merrick Garland.

  17. Greg C. says:

    It’s not as if there are 4000 Ron Pauls out there to recruit from. Bunch of nervous Nellies ready to jump ship when they see one rat scurry across the deck.

    • From Québec says:

      I agree with you Greg C..

      Even Ron Paul isn’t perfect, nobody is.

      There will always be something you don’t agree with a nominee for a specific cabinet. He might be perfect for the job, but he will definitely not be perfect for another kind of cabinet nomination.

      When you have a broken water pipe in your house, you call a plumber., not an electrician. It doesn’t matter if the Plumber is a conservative or a liberal, or have different kinds of friends or different kinds of views.on another subject. As long as he fixes your water problem, that is all you want from him.

      And so goes life. If you wait for perfection in a cabinet nominee to come your way, you will never deliver anything.

      Because, it doesn’t exist.

      So, let’s give Trump a chance. Stupid he is not, and he is known for delivering.

    • Joy says:

      That’s what I say, Greg. We are not in Trump’s shoes, and the least we can do is give it a little time. Think of the mess he is stepping into!

  18. A glowstick in the abyss says:

    Jon, once again, you nailed it! I feel so bad for the people who really thought Trump would do the right thing for this country. He everyone, guess who the Trump card will be getting much of his advice from: Richard Haass from the Council on Foreign Relations. The Trump card an anti globalist? Yeah right! Good job, America–you have been duped again.

  19. Rev. Dragon's Eye says:

    Another reason,

    I was giving the “wait-and-see” attitude a whirl: I did not expect “The Donald” to be too far out of reach of the globalist-machine in the first place. He is worth billions, and still able to be a “billionaire” in this corrupt global economy ONLY because he knows that it could all disappear overnight, if he ever truly turned on his handlers/masters!

    Good, honest People, these days, will NEVER attain the level of wealth, let alone be able to keep it, to the likes of Mr. Trump’s “class” of people. That is because it is the basis of this global economy being a criminal one, that is managed and operated by the world’s biggest criminals, that cause it to serve and benefit their co-conspirator criminals.

    – “About to dust off the -I TOLD YOU SO- statement, very soon.”

    • From Québec says:

      Good grief! Take a nap. Paranoia is not healthy.

    • Greg C. says:

      Reverend: You have no knowledge of what you are saying. Criminals are not omnipotent and corruption is not absolute. There are many, many wealthy people who have earned their money the hard and honest way. Steve Appleton, founder of Micron, worth about $100 million before he died. The little office where he started making his memory chips is just down the road from me. From all accounts, Trump’s reputation is impeccable. There are no tell-tale signs of phoniness with him. It’s so easy to lob these careless smears while maintaining your anonymity.

      More likely, the campaign is underway to sow the seeds of discontent within the “alt-right” ranks, so that the next attempted take-down (rape accusation from 30 years ago?) will gather enough steam for an impeachment. Not going to happen.

      • From Québec says:

        Amen, Greg.

      • Joy says:

        Double amen, Greg!

      • Rev. Dragon's Eye says:

        I am afraid it is YOU who are on the level of ignorance here!

        I am not talking about “rich” people, in general. I am talking about the actual “predatory class” who have made much of their wealth by harming others. (The “global economy” as it stands now, is just such an example.)

        PLUS,

        What you do not see (plain as day to some of us who actually have paid careful attention), is how controlled our political system really are! If Mr. Trump was TRULY against “the system”, he would have been treated just the same as Dr. Ron Paul’s THREE runs for the Presidency. Also notice, how John McAfee (founder of McAfee Anti-Virus software, and his company) was quietly “rounded-out” of the running. Hmmm! Also fairly, independently wealthy, but pushed out of the campaigning. Now, WHY do you suppose that was? ? ?

        Besides that,

        Your blind-faith statement in Mr. Trump being “impeccable” in any way, belies what little you have learned about human history in general, and the “human nature” in the specific. NO HUMAN BEING HAS YET TO DEMONSTRATE, LET ALONE *PROVE*, ANY SENSE ARE STRONG ENOUGH CHARACTER OF “IMPECCABILITY”! This is nothing of any “smear”. This actual, objective observation, and knowing just how corrupt our political systems are.

        Mr. Trump’s “billions” can just as easily become worth NOTHING, by morning, if those who control the basis of valuation of all that “paper wealth”, if they deem it so. It’s called private central-banking and its total economic control through its manipulation of the currency and bank-issued “monetized debt”.

        So,

        More baseless attacks upon me, not-with-standing. GO STUDY YOUR HISTORY SOME MORE PLEASE!

  20. From Québec says:

    Jon, I have an idea:

    Since Trump had a great coversation with Putin recently, we know that they will be working together and get along just fine. Trump could make a treaty with Russia by importing their organic foods.

    WHY NOT?

    No need to label GMO in the USA, if it is not written that it is certified organic, then it is GMO. As simple as that.

    Now, I don’t know if Trump knows about GMO, but he sure knows about the vaccines and autism. I’m sure Putin will talk about GMO when they will meet soon.

    Putin: Russia Will be World’s Largest Supplier of Healthy Organic Food

    http://sustainablepulse.com/2015/12/03/putin-russia-will-be-worlds-largest-supplier-of-healthy-organic-food/#.WDEiD9ThBkg

    • Theodore says:

      This would be a great idea!

      Ban pesticides in farming. (plant hemp in those field to suck up the poisons along with other methods to refurbish the soil in those poisoned areas.)

      Counter any food shortfall with the importation of organic food FROM RUSSIA — as more organic farms in USA gear up.

      ~~~~
      I am sure Trump and his wife know about organic food and heavily-filtered tap water in their TRUMP TOWER. Don’t 99.999% of the super rich eat the cleanest foods and drink the cleanest of waters — at least for the taste alone?
      They definitely know that Barron’s brain damage (autism) was caused a vaccine. Sadly, harmaceutical medicine for non-trauma dis-ease still suckers a large percentage of the super rich.
      ~~~

      Agreed. “No need to label GMO in the USA, if it is not written that it is certified organic, then it is GMO [with pesticides or non-GMO but with pesticides]. As simple as that.”

    This supports the contention that Trump is a good actor and simply obeys his directors. No surprise, since Trump has censored 9/11.

    • Greg C. says:

      Quebec: Thanks for posting these videos of Pompeo. I’m impressed by any guy willing to take on Hillary’s deft stonewalling in front of cameras. That takes guts. Again, we can’t expect 100% perfection in these picks. What we should be looking at is how well they match up to Trump’s perfectly transparent goals and stated policies, within the department in question. Does it make sense to look at parts of a person’s past record with little relation to the job description? I don’t think so. Is he justified in wanting Snowden to hang for treason? Yes, even though I think Snowden should be found innocent by a jury of peers, because of the extraordinary lawlessness that he sought to reveal by his actions. But he needs to stand trial.

      These decisions are complex, and not worthy of knee-jerk responses. Give Trump some room, people, give him enough time to prove himself. They will surely try to take him down before he has a chance.

      • Joy says:

        I agree wholeheartedly, Greg! How can we possibly imagine that WE know what is happening, given that we are not privy to any of the meetings, or conversations, or strategies that Trump has underway? It is so easy to pass judgment, as if we are all-knowing, forgetting that we are only given news tidbits. We have been trained to over-react folks!

  23. Pompeo Swamp Thing says:

    Trump is fishing from the bottom of the Swamp.

  24. Peter Moline says:

    LISTEN TO ME!! To begin to understand Trump, you must begin to understand that the, Make America Great Again, America First, (MAGA/AF) meme is mind control being used by TPTB(International Banking Interest) behind Trump, to pave the way for a ‘new nationalism’. One cleverly designed to move the US away from it’s uni-polar position and into it’s diminished role in a more multi-lateral and centralized alignment of nations, or if you prefer, NWO.

    Trump is a globalist make no mistake about it. So, we should expect him to do things that contradict, keep in mind he is running two parallel programs. The one at first glance and the only one most people will ever see is the MAGA/AF program and expect him to be very successful. The financial architecture is all ready in place. With the Chinese Yuan accepted into the IMF basket of reserve status of currencies and positioned to take on a role that will begin to re-balance the existing trade deficits. That’s long and complex concept, surffice to say the end results are designed to devalue the USD making US manufacture goods once again competitive, add to that Trump’s tax plan and bingo, jingles, jobs, jobs, jobs!!!

    The other program running parallel to this is a whole ‘nother story. One that requires people to realize that the trend towards centralization is one that has been trending in that direction for over two-thousand years. And there is absolutely zero reason to believe the direction of that trend will reverse itself.

    Are you starting to get the picture? It is something you will have to think about and research. Gaining a understanding of what are the goals of the International Banking Interest is the place to start. Good luck.

    PTM

    • Greg C. says:

      Wow Peter, what a hopeless view to take. Without evidence! Irreversible 2000 year trend? Might as well join the globalists and grab what you can, if that’s what you believe. Hope you don’t have any kids and poison their future with such dismal nonsense.

      • Joy says:

        I would surmise that most of us who take the time to read Jon’s articles are well aware of the globalist agenda, and have long known of the hidden hand behind everything we think we see in power. Yet is there no room, no time when this might get turned around…not by a leader elected into office (we need no saviors!), but because enough of us are truly awakening and are demanding and creating change? I, for one, will not ally my imagination and creative powers with hopelessness!

  25. Organic Farmer says:

    Gee, Jon looks like a you have a few paid trolls here and mostly likely very uninformed about a few important items when it comes to GMOs and ‘certified organic’. I see why you have not replied no sense in feeding the beast.
