As if waiting in scientific exile for a signal that would allow them back in the world, a massive medical group in Argentina followed up on the recent World Health Organization announcement that Roundup is a probable carcinogen.

FESPROSA, the union representing 30,000 doctors and health professionals, issued a devastating statement (reported at GM Watch, 4/16, “Argentina: 30,000 doctors and health professionals demand ban on glyphosate”):

“Glyphosate not only causes cancer. It is also associated with increased spontaneous abortions, birth defects, skin diseases, and respiratory and neurological disease.”

“Health authorities, including the National Ministry of Health and the political powers, can no longer look away. Agribusiness cannot keep growing at the expense of the health of the Argentine people. The 30,000 health professionals in Argentina in the FESPROSA ask that glyphosate is now prohibited in our country and that a debate on the necessary restructuring of agribusiness is opened, focusing on the application of technologies that do not endanger human life.”

“In our country glyphosate is applied on more than 28 million hectares. Each year, the soil is sprayed with more than 320 million litres, which means that 13 million people are at risk of being affected, according to the Physicians Network of Sprayed Peoples (RMPF). Soy is not the only crop addicted to glyphosate: the herbicide is also used for transgenic maize and other crops. Where glyphosate falls, only GMOs can grow. Everything else dies.”

Make no mistake about it, this is an Argentine manifesto against chemical warfare.

Monsanto is the attacking army.

power outside the matrix

This Argentine union of medical professionals has been chafing under Monsanto’s control, as that corporation has colluded with politicians to continue the all-out attack on the population.

When Monsanto’s Agent Orange herbicide fell on Vietnam, destroying countless lives, the company was just getting started.

It has continued its war on life to this day.

In the US, why are people spending their energy trying to label GMO crops, when the majority of those plants are drenched with Roundup? Label poison? Let the consumer decide whether to eat a poison that is affecting the entire country?

Is that the best America can do—especially given the fact that Monsanto is headquartered here?

The campaign should be: Ban Roundup. Ban all genetically modified crops that require it. Boycott Roundup for any use.

The US Department of Justice refuses to prosecute Monsanto for high crimes, since the DOJ and the FDA and USDA are rogue criminal agencies. They collude with Monsanto.

And as I’ve documented, Barack Obama is Monsanto’s current man in Washington.

That’s the set-up.

But Argentina has sent a flare through the clouds.

Keep it alive.

  3. Monsanto Corp is the worst polluter, briber, thief, lawbreakers, liar, Nazi corporation. They will murder, use research gather from genocide, war, to gain a better foothold in an economy. They a proven track record of using any means to sell poison. They know it is poison, they don’t care that you know, that they know it is poison. They place themselves above it all. Human life is irrelevant to their cause.
A few of the sins of Monsatan Corp.

After paying an original sum of $2.4 million to reimburse farmers for contaminating their fields with genetically modified wheat that had not even yet been approved for farming, Monsanto has been forced to pay another $350,000 in order to settle a class action lawsuit brought upon by numerous farmers from over seven different states.

In 1980, the first US Agent Orange class-action lawsuit was filed for the injuries military personnel in Vietnam suffered through exposure to toxic dioxins in thedefoliant.[46] The chemical companies involved denied that there was a link between Agent Orange and the veterans’ medical problems. On May 7, 1984, seven chemical companies settled the class-action suit out of court just hours before jury selection was to begin, offering $180 million as compensation if the veterans dropped all claims against them.[47] Slightly over 45% of the sum was ordered to be paid by Monsanto alone.[48]

In 2009, Monsanto sued DuPont Pioneer for patent infringement of Roundup Ready patents.[30] DuPont had licensed the patents from Monsanto already, but had added additional glyphosphate-resistance genes to its seed, which Monsanto claimed was not allowed in the license. DuPont counter-sued, claiming that Monsanto’s patent was invalid. The jury handed down a verdict on August 1, 2012, finding that DuPont not only infringed, but willfully infringed, and awarded a verdict of $1 billion, the fourth-largest patent verdict in the history of the United States.[31] DuPont indicated it would appeal, but settled in 2013.[32]

Lawyers for more than 20,000 plaintiffs in federal and state trials over PCB pollution in Anniston reached an agreement Wednesday with the companies accused of chemical contamination.

The $700 million settlement, announced in federal district court in Birmingham, would resolve all outstanding Anniston PCB litigation…

The settlement included the establishment of a $2.125 million fund for economically-effected soft-wheat farmers.[67]

    Argentines have balls. Bravo!

I’ve always thought that Americans had balls. But I was wrong. They accept just about anything, even getting Proctology searches by the side of the road.

What ever happened to The land of the free and the home of the brave?
Too many vaccines, GMO’s and fluoride or what?

I mean, hey! With a population of 324 million peoples. most of them armed (estimate of 350 million guns in the country, by The Daily Caller), and 21,8 million veterans, you would think that their government would be powerless.
But no. It has all the power it wants.

What will be the line in the sand for Americans to revolt against the tyranny that is laid on them?

And in the comments below the article, one commentator referred to the CDC and EPA in a very funny, but precise way:

    CDC (Central Death Command)
    EPA (Extermination Protection Agency)

    LOL…

  9. yecats says:

Jon, please check out “pre-emerge spraying.” A long-time friend who conventionally farms 8K acres in the Mid-West laughs at me when I talk about eating organic. She says I should listen to the “coffee-shop talk” among ‘organic farmers’ who trade ideas about how to get rid of weeds. She claims they readily admit among themselves that, when a field becomes weed-prone, they have no choice but to apply Roundup a couple weeks before they plant.

And since no one thinks to test ‘organic produce’ for glyphosate, no one’s the wiser.

    Here’s a video explaining “pre-emerge spraying.”

Thank you Jon, the sad part is that the monies paid out to cover damages by monsanto are nothing compared to their profits and damages that we will see for generations… Look at Vietnam.

Jon, I wish you would take on the Golf/Medical Industrial Complex. Organized/televised Golf supports, promotes, and is maintained by Big Name cancer hospitals, children’s clinics, and every kind of Run for the Cure. It is really macabre. Tune in to see healthy athletic men at the top of their game and you are bombarded with hollow-eyed images of waifs ravaged by disease.

The Golf Channel heavily advertises Roundup. Is that a blatant conflict of interest…creating cancer, then crying crocodile tears to cure it? And generate revenues?

I am also concerned about a possible herbicide/autism link. Ernie Els’ son is autistic and Els has a large Els for Autism foundation. Masters champion Jordan Spieth’s sister Ellie is autistic.

Phil Mickelson’s wife had a well-publicized encounter with breast cancer. And so forth.

Somebody needs to blow a loud whistle on this.

  12. Since one of the requirements to form and maintain a corporation is that it has to be for a “lawful purpose” (per article three of their Delaware certificate of incorporation: http://www.monsanto.com/whoweare/pages/certificate-of-incorporation.aspx), and as (at least) negligent homicide isn’t a lawful action, why isn’t there any action to revoke their corporate status? This strikes me as the most logical and supportable legal remedy to their well-documented misdeeds. Is this the proper focus of the necessary activism?
