Delusions about private property and the fantasy of equality

Ownership 101: a five-minute course

“Once private property is abolished, the advocates for utopia win. They build their heaven on earth, which means they can take what they want and run civilization, top-down. They can keep saying nobody owns anything, but in fact they own it all. They execute this squeeze play as if they were messiahs eradicating the prime evil: private ownership. This is such a preposterous stage play that, in a sane society, it would close down after one night.” (The Underground, Jon Rappoport)

Newsflash: There is a difference between an idea and the way that idea is applied in practice.

For example, certain groups will take the idea of freedom and interpret it to mean, “We have the freedom to steal everything we can.”

Based on this practice, many people will claim freedom was always a failed and corrupt idea at the core. This is wrong, absurd, and dim. Very dim.

In the same way, the idea of private property can certainly be twisted to mean, “I will steal what you have, make it my own, and then declare it is my property, over which I have control.”

But the idea of private property remains independent of what people will do to distort it. A child used to be able to see this.

Centuries of struggle resulted in a shift from monarchs and priest classes owning all available land, to individuals having the right to own land.

Once that principle was firmly established, groups immediately tried to modify the principle to their advantage.

In 1776, a group called the Illuminati declared its existence in Bavaria. One of its guiding ideas was: the abolition of all private property. That concept traveled down to Karl Marx and the Communist agenda.

Private property was called an inherent crime. Instead, the people/everybody would own all property. This garbled incoherent pronouncement would be backed up by the ruling government, who would act as stewards for the masses—meaning the government would take control of all property until such time as the people evolved to the point where the State was unnecessary.

As a straight con, it was very weak. A two-bit hustler on a street corner with a folding table and three cards could see through it in a second.

The people evolving? The State withering away on its own? Equality defined as everybody owning everything?

Of course, if people injected their own utopian fantasies into the mix, if people assumed the government was a beneficent force for good, if people assumed there was an “everybody” operating unanimously, if people fantasized about a history of tribes (who fought wars against each other) gracefully abdicating the whole notion of individual property…well then, yes, the abolition of private property became a marvelous proposition.

In the light of day, however, with a clear mind, the idea was terrible. It was quite insane. It signaled a transfer of property from the individual to power-mad lunatics.

Needless to say, this idea of no-private-property is alive and well on planet Earth today. We are in another round of fantasy-drenched propaganda.

In a nutshell, the threat of pure private property is: it establishes individual rights that stand against the unchecked force of the government-corporate-banking nexus. It implies the individual is free, independent, and the ruler of what he owns.

To which the addled mind replies: “But suppose a person is polluting his land and the poison is running beyond his borders and endangering others?”

Well, that is called a crime. It should be prosecuted. It should be stopped.

The fact that it is often ignored doesn’t negate the whole assumption of private property. It points to the corruption of public officials who refuse to prosecute the offender.

Here is utopia laid bare: the government and its partners, who are doing everything they can to limit, squash, and outlaw the individual right to own property, are the same force that is acting as the wondrous representative of all the people; surrender to this force; give it power to appropriate all property and hold it in trust, for that day when the population has risen to enlightenment, when the open sharing of “everything” is a natural impulse. Then victory will be ours.

Not the iron fist. The open helping hand. Not the hammer. The smiling guide. Not the monarch. The servant of humanity.

If you buy that one, I have waterfront condos for sale on Jupiter’s four moons. No terms. Cash up front. Construction begins in 2058. Promise.

The Homeowners Association actually owns the condos and the land. They are a subsidiary of the Jupiter Government Authority. There are rules. No flags of any kind flying from porches. No privately owned electricity generators. No growing of vegetables or fruit on the land. No weapons. Domiciles must be shared with migrants arriving from Earth. The migrants are given beds, meals, and clothing. Possessions are shared. The prime directive: everything belongs to everybody. Power to the people.

I actually believe there is no such thing as “private property” here in the US , When you have to pay the government for the right to live on land you supposedly own, (and ask permission to build on that land) that fact points to the actual owner of the land. The fact that the land is seized if you do not PAY “rent” (also known as taxes) to said government…makes it very clear.

The government (state and federal) can also give large corporations the right to defile, polute and destroy “your” land against your protest.

The fact that the government can dictate to YOU what you can and cannot do with your own body; means you do not even own your own body…the government literally owns you.
You all do recall the experiments the CIA have done on the American People without knowledge or consent?
Your body is not your own.

Further your children are not your own. The state government can actually FORCE harmful medical treatments onto children. I have read NIGHTMARISH stories online of children, especially teens (nearing 18 years old) being seized from their parents home and forced to undergo chemo and radiation treatments they said they did not want,. Some of these stories are of 17 year olds being forcibly detained and drugged,or of TODDLERS quickly poisoned to death by medical treatment, kids who could be alive today.

Of course there is also the FACT that children are conscripted for 12 years in prison re-education camps called public schools where their imagination and curiosity are slowly stripped from them and they are brainwashed to believe absurdities . As someone who has advanced degrees, i am suppossed to LOVE the public schools sytem, but i LOATHE it.

Children are being subjected to behavioral conditioning, many of them leave school unable to read write or do the simplest math. It takes about six months to actually teach children how to read proficiently by phonetic method, but our “teachers’ don’t actually , they indoctrinate, “socialize” and condition.

In fact, here in the US, “land of the free”, people are indoctrinated from birth to believe that prostituting themselves out for money is “normal”…so you don’t even own the product of your labor.
The people who lived when industrialization was first getting under way, understood how DEMEANING prostituting oneself out for pay actually was and protests were swift and violent.
Unfortunately the wealthy were quick to institute the “public school system” to get the especially “unruly” Irish under control…it was a long hard fight and WE lost.

Instead of selling the product of our labors,we were conditioned to sell the HOURS of OUR LIVES , ourselves, for money- we were reduced to Human CAPITAL, bereft of individual characteristics or any human dignity, just exchangeable cogs that only exist to serve the system exploiting us through the banking system and taxes.
    We own nothing.
Every thing, from forests to living beings is a commodity, to be used and exploited for profit .
This is called gaining the world and losing your soul.

Very good points, exposing how phoney our touted “free societies” are. But in the age of ramifying industrial robots, the idea of our trying to acquire control our lives by selling “the product of our labors” is atavistic in the extreme. American puritanism seems to be having a problem with
absorbing the fact that labor (“the curse of Adam”) itself is rapidly becoming obsolete. This tendency to want to hold onto an economic context that the wider world, particularly burgeoning Asia, is rapidly leaving behind will not serve US interests well.

This article is all mixed up, Jon. I don’t know how you live. I just like a lot of the stuff you write. And I share it.

Do you “own” the property on which you live?
Does that mean (if the answer is “yes”) that you paid for it in cash and don’t have a mortgage?
Does it mean where you “own” this property has no rules about the property you own?
Does it mean you don’t pay property taxes or insurance?

What does this article really mean to us of your readers (and you don’t “own” us – like slaves you’ve bought to serve your site)?

You are “sharing” your thoughts and beliefs. Are we not supposed to “share” what we have with others?

Is this article meant to share your belief that no one owns anything in this world? Including their expressed beliefs, thoughts, and ideas? Time to talk about trademark, copyright, intellectual property. I’m sure you have that all covered with your lawyers. They know the LAW. They will make sure you are safe. They will not charge you for their services. They will “share” their services with you, as you “share” your services with them. Right? Or wrong? Use your Logic here.

Define the word “own” and “private” and “property”. Please. As the way YOU see it.

    How should we then live?

    Trapped in the Matrix?

Guess I’ll have to pay for all your products to help me see the logic in this article and what it is meaning to express.

    Basically – YOU OWN NOTHING.

    But your imagination!

You’re using that. But I’ll be willing to say you own (at least) the computer on which you are keyboarding. And you might possibly have to pay for the services you receive. Unless you innovated Serius XM and give it away to the CO town who lives there.

    Yes.

    It’s been a slave day.

Had to express my frustration with reading this article.

    That’s all.

Some things, you have to pay attention to.
Like how to figure out how to be free. We live in the US of America, don’t we?

I should count my blessings, eh?

  5. Ginny Sing says:

Have there ever been societies that thrived without “owning” land? In fact, there have been. So, the idea that a man can own land (or anything) may just be an unecessary and delusional idea. It may be an idea presented by the ego in a desperate attempt to keep one’s consciousness tethered to seperation consciousness… the foundation upon which ego thrives.

To believe in the idea of ownership being something that can be granted by government, one must believe that government is an “authority” or author of your life. That is simply untrue. To believe that anyone outside of your authentic self has authority over you, is to hand your sovereign nature over to a delusion. Ownership of land or of anything outside of yourself is a delusion… a mass delusion that only a few rare individuals ever free themselves from.

Yes, you can partner with the government and play the game of “ownership” by getting your deeds and certificates etc. But, nature is the owner and author of all that you believe you “own”. And nature is everywhere. It is in every nook and cranny of your life. The only partnership worth forming is one with nature. The government may appear to grant you ownership, but nature can take away that so called ownership in a second… and there are infinite ways it can do it. I once heard it said that what lies at the crux of all the ills of mankind is the idea that he can “own” land. I believe there is a lot of truth in that statement.

“To believe in the idea of ownership being something that can be granted by government, one must believe that government is an “authority” or author of your life. That is simply untrue. ”

And this brings us full cycle back to mainstream media: As the mouthpiece for the Deep State, the (FAKE) media “authors” or spins the *narrative* that we find ourselves immersed in thanks to the ubiquitous ‘communications’ technology that surrounds us on all sides.

The Corporate Narrative is a frickin’ fairytale, carefully crafted to instill fear and mindless subservience into our hearts and chaos into our rational faculties.

  6. Laura says:

In California they’ve somehow managed to get home prices inordinately high which makes property taxes (and other costs) much higher; this seems in response to Prop. 13’s lowering and limitations on prop. taxes begun in 1978. And still, those in power constantly gripe about Prop. 13 and wanting to chip away at it and destroy it so that they can raise prop. taxes even higher. This is very effective in making home/business ownership cripplingly expensive for everyone except the fabulously wealthy, and those billionaires and such are the most likely to use all the loopholes and other tricks to avoid paying their normal percentage in taxes, despite their (mostly) socialist leanings and lip service about “the people.” So, it’s ordinary middle class people that are hit hardest, relentlessly, meaning the vast majority. Renters too, since apartment owners raise rents when property taxes and other expenses go up and up, aside from the greed and gouging they already indulge in in high-rent states like CA, which makes people resent them badly, feeling robbed of needed finances for basic living (which is true). So more and more, property owning becomes less and less desirable, like a bottomless money pit, at least in these socialist states, but globally as well. So we can see that what you say about the goal of abolishing private property rights is absolutely true. Well done, thank you, aside from it being so depressing. We can only try to get the masses to wise up and reverse these disturbing trends, if this is possible. Automatically believing the mass media on matters of importance should be first on the list of things to stop.

  8. Terri says:

The American people have no understanding about the foundation of our freedom/responsibility; our inherent rights to due process and property. John Adams, one of our great founders foretold the communist grab to return the people into serfs for good; by stealing our property and make people think its wrong to succeed and work hard and have something to leave for your children; a real legacy.
    Excerpt from
    http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/02/how_john_adams_predicted_bernie_sanders_and_his_acolytes.html

In 1787, Adams published his three-volume work, A Defence of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America. In the opening chapter of Volume III, he predicts, with eerie precision, the why and how of Bernie Sanders and his acolytes.

In brief summation of its entirety, this introductory chapter is an argument for a nation built upon a separation of powers and laws based upon unalienable individual rights, in contrast to a nation built upon a single, unchecked legislative body of representatives that could impose the will of a mob.

Here, Adams responds to seventeenth-century journalist Marchamont Nedham, who makes the contention that a legislative body, enacting the will of a majority, is a suitable means of governance, because people, in general, “never think of usurping over other men’s rights, but mind which way to preserve their own.”

“[I]f the people never, jointly nor severally, think of usurping the rights of others, what occasion can there be for any government at all?” Adams asks. “Are there no robberies, burglaries, murders, adulteries, thefts, nor cheats…. Is not a great part, I will not say the greatest part, of men detected every day in some disposition or other, stronger or weaker, more or less, to usurp over other men’s rights?”

Suppose a nation, rich and poor, high and low, ten millions in number, all assembled together; not more than one or two millions will have lands, houses, or any personal property… Would Mr. Nedham be responsible that, if all were to be decided by a vote of the majority, the eight or nine millions who have no property, would not think of usurping over the rights of the one or two millions who have? Property is surely a right of mankind as really as liberty.

The moment the idea is admitted into society, that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence.

Perhaps, at first, prejudice, habit, shame or fear, principle or religion, would restrain the poor from attacking the rich, and the idle from usurping on the industrious; but the time would not be long before courage and enterprise would come, and pretexts be invented by degrees, to countenance the majority in dividing all the property among them, or at least, in sharing it equally with its present possessors. Debts would be abolished first; taxes laid heavily on the rich, and not at all on the others; and at last a downright equal division of everything be demanded, and voted. What would be the consequence of this? The idle, the vicious, the intemperate would rush into the utmost extravagance of debauchery, sell and spend their share, and then demand a new division of those who purchased from them.

“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
    Winston Churchill

“Life, liberty and the pursuit of property.” “Happiness” was more palatable to colonies whose property was human…

If property is the manifestation of one’s lifelong efforts, it is representational of the one irreplaceable thing: Time. All else is recoverable.

If they can steal your time, the other two unalienables are meaningless.

  11. Harold Smith says:

If you have no right to own real property – land – then you have no right to acquire food, water and shelter (and even oxygen in the air), all of which ultimately come from the land.

If you have no right to acquire food, water and shelter, then you have no “right” to exist.
In this case, only “government” has the “right” to exist, and “the people” are mere slaves whose only “rights”, if they have any, come from “government”.

This is the essence of communism (“God” = “the state”), where the people have no God-given “natural rights”, and this is why the first tenet of Marx’ “communist manifesto” demands “the abolition of private property in land”.

To put it another way, if “government” can levy and collect an arbitrarily high tax on land and shelter, a necessity of life, then it can also make everyone breathe through a valve, and demand an arbitrarily tax on the air that people breathe. And if someone can’t pay, it can shut off the valve.

  12. pete says:

The thing is that in the day of Adam & Eve there was no private property. God had not intended for property to be private. However, evil militaristic forces now permeate the globe and desire to fold all property into their domain. They don’t mean all for one and one for all. They mean all for us, nothing for the rest except subservience.

  13. Larry says:

The context was a bit different, but these lines from the O’Jays’ hit seem apropos:

    (What they do!)
    (They smile in your face)

    The back stabbers (back stabbers)

“Place” in this context means *property* of course …

  14. As usual you make excellent, well argued points, Jon.

But let us clear up one thing.

Sovereign freedom (sovereign individuality) belies conflict without cooperation or some form of coordinated method of assuring individual will does not terrorise the wider group.

The wider group is important because there IS more than one. Whether it is corporeally responsible or not becomes a moot point, but to ignore the wider group to maintain individual sovereignty is tyrannous, treacherous denial.

Socially responsible individuality is utopian existence.

    Best
    OT

    • Greg C. says:

” … some form of coordinated method of assuring individual will does not terrorise the wider group.”

Typical of lefty thinking – use loaded words like “terrorist” to refer to someone that the group does not like. Once you deny the primacy of individual freedom, you are free to draw the line anywhere you want. You can have the city fine your neighbor for weeds in his front yard. People voted for it, you know, which means the group has the power. Damn terrorist! From there, you can leverage power to spray Roundup anywhere you want. Roundup is socially responsible, right? And weeds are noxious. End of argument.

Substitute “gang” for “group” and you have a more realistic description of the real world. It’s all about power – power must reside somewhere. We’re talking the ability to control property, actions, thinking. We’re talking about forcing your perception of reality onto everyone else. Social responsibility is public relations fiction. It is the safe space for snowflakes who feel threatened by raw freedom, to let life energy, which resides in each individual, not the group, run its natural course.

While waiting for an opinion, the HOA lobbied hard and the law changed in the state of HI citing their case against us – the developer made a “mistake”, so the neighbors should be able to vote to change the deeds (including mine) to give the HOA the right to foreclose. 20. Chuck Morrison says:

I still like the Old Testament Model. The Earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof. And the People who are called by His name cannot be deprived of their inheritance by the actions of greedy, psychotic, narcissistic men, because the Law of Jubilee requires that every 50 years, the debts are erased, the prisoners are freed, and the land is freshly divided among the tribes. In America, that would place a little under ten acres in the control of each individual. They can do whatever they like with it; farm it, mine it, build condos or a resort, or open a business, or simply lease it all to others except for a lot-sized parcel for your domicile, perhaps. It can’t be taxed or taken. It would function like Universal Basic Income for wise people. Others would choose to give up control for a lump-sum, blow the money in a few years, and be forced to live hand-to-mouth until the next Jubilee (you will have the poor with you always).

Wise people would form co-operatives (factory town, farm community, whatever) to enhance their security and prosperity. Freedom, creativity, and productivity could be significantly advanced under such a system, especially with a constitution such as ours (properly and legally applied) to limit the scope of interference by government. A man can dream, can’t he? But I expect Christ will have to return for us to see justice like this.

i also know that i do not want the owner of this former dairy ranch where i live to frivolously and thoughtlessly have trees cut down because she ‘owns’ them. they are not cared for except for what the tenants are allowed to do, which is not much. she goes along with whatever authority gives orders – like the fire dept stating that no plants can be within 12 ft of a residence as it is a fire hazard. or because they are ‘messy’ or… so many healthy trees have been removed for ‘convenience’ or whim here and elsewhere. the birds and other animals, need for shade from the northern california continuous heatwave-chemtrailed summers or any other natural considerations are not taken into account at all.

it seems that we have a lot to think about and discuss. i love that it is being done here. a new way of living must come about a little bit at a time, is maybe the best answer.

      Thanks for your comments, A.
As i have said many times, there is a way to successfully assert your inherent rights legally and lawfully. We as a people must learn about the law on our own, since it is not taught in schools.

We need more people to do this, so the balance that was intended originally by our founders is re established, that is, America belongs to the people, and our public servants, those we elect to provide services for us, work for us. While the handful of people who are doing this make great strides for themselves, and have quietly behind the scenes, created great changes you will not ever hear about, the majority doesn’t want to know there is a solution, and goes along with tyranny and is therefore aiding and abetting treason.

There is an agenda that those such as Elon Musk and Bill Gates have talked about, and that is the future of collectivism, A I and transhumanism. This will be the future for all who refuse to think for themselves, and want everything handed to them. People such as Wes Penre and Robert Stanley have written about this and its worth reading. There is little time left; less than 20 years before they plan on implementing this. Cyborgs do not need property or due process, nor nature or a beautiful healthy happy world. They do not need emotions or logic.

Those who choose nature, and what is real and their sovereignty, responsibility, respect and love will have a different future. This battle is very real, and it’s not about money or power. It is about our souls. We must fight every day to maintain the integrity of our spirits or we shall be swallowed up by the Singularity.

Our founders gave us the Constitution to give us a framework to go beyond a monarchy-peasant dichotomy. Even more importantly, this was our ticket out of a future possible reality that we are now experiencing, because of 200 plus years of failure of the peasants to take their power back, take full responsibility and ditch the victimhood and fear.

How can a Republic function without an intelligent, active, caring citizenry? We must never fall into cynicism or despair, that is what feeds the machine. This is what the movie the never ending story was showing people. We must continue to focus on soulutions and don’t buy into a bleak future, but create our own, whatever that may be.

Jon understands the power of imagination as a powerful creative force. Combine this with divine love and nothing is stronger.

being aware of the agenda, i have frequently visited cynicism and despair. it is the siren call for the weary. but i always come back. as myself. thanks for the reminder of what it takes to carry on. it is needed every now and then for us all. you are very good at that.

Language is one thing, Law another. English is an extraordinary concoction, but one which served to make a tiny internally-warring group of blue-painted people into virtual rulers of the Known World.
NB: “Known World” defines clearly that part which actually mattered, then and now.
    As Kylneth put it concisely:
“Everybody knows that…..” is a fearsome weapon, which works best in English.

We peasants need to be grateful that the Lords grant us “legal” tenancy of our pitiful shards of land at all.
For ever how long we are allowed to/can hold tenancy to it……

Before we all get confused with facts.

In the human spirit of so many is a deep desire for to get a glimpse of their true identity outside of the shadows of the matrix.

Is anyone aware that all of the earthly elements in this thing called land are the same identical elements found in the composition of mankind?

Everyone should research “the legal name game”. It’s all about the NAME you think is yours, but actually belongs to someone else and now you’ve become a surety/trustee. It’s subtle and diabolically ingenious and it’s done whilst we are infants through the birth (bond) registration process.

What professions are older than prostitution?

Those that enjoin theft of property and the subversion of ownership.

By the reasoning presented in this essay the concept of “We the People” also is negated.

Who is this “we”? It wasn’t me, and it wasn’t any of my forefathers who immigrated here in the late 1600s, seeking a piece of dirt they could till without paying rent to LAND LORDS.

Of course many of those immigrants soon ran into trouble with the natives over the very concept of “ownership.” They brought the seeds of their own demise with them in the paradigms they lived by.

“Here is utopia laid bare: the government and its partners, who are doing everything they can to limit, squash, and outlaw the individual right to own property, are the same force that is acting as the wondrous representative of all the people; surrender to this force; give it power to appropriate all property and hold it in trust, for that day when the population has risen to enlightenment, when the open sharing of “everything” is a natural impulse. Then victory will be ours.”
