Out of the box
Bannon: originator of policy, projects, challenging ideas, come hell or high water

(Second Open Letter, here.)
Steve Bannon, Trump’s inside man, his chief strategist and senior counselor, is different. No question about that. What he creates for Trump and the American people remains to be seen. But when was the last time you saw an anti-mainstream-media man, a virulent ridiculer of major media, a high-profile figure in independent media (Breitbart) sit this close to the president of the United States?
Bannon, talking to reporter Michael Wolff of the Hollywood Reporter the other day:
“The media bubble is the ultimate symbol of what’s wrong with this country. It’s just a circle of people talking to themselves who have no f—ing idea what’s going on. If The New York Times didn’t exist, CNN and MSNBC would be a test pattern. The Huffington Post and everything else is predicated on The New York Times. It’s a closed circle of information from which Hillary Clinton got all her information — and her confidence. That was our opening.”
Steve,
Since you say you’re going to push programs and projects to dig the country out of the economic hole it’s been in for years now, I have a few ideas, based on 30-plus years of working as a freelance independent reporter. Thirty years starts to put a few new ideas into your head. Solutions. Because you can’t keep reporting on what’s screwed up for that long without seeing there are ways out of the horror show. Exits. My ideas aren’t filmy fantasies. They’re gained from looking straight at continuing disasters that have been unfolding across America.
ONE: On a search engine, type in “urban farms Chicago.” You’ll see there is actually a directory of such operations. They’re happening. Local people are growing and eating their own food. Some of this food can also be sold for profit.
—There should be many, many urban farms in every city in America. Plots of land where local residents grow and trade and eat their own fresh, clean, nutritious food. It is a revolutionary act.
Initiate 5,000 of these farms in inner cities. The government provides initial funding in the form of loans. The residents themselves will expand their operations into profit-making ventures; they’ll sell the excess food.
I’m estimating that for less than $50 million, the whole national program can be launched—as opposed to the trillions of dollars that have been poured down rat holes for the past 50 years in the “war on poverty.”
The residents of inner cities will now have a real economic stake in their own survival and success, and they’ll escalate the power of their demands for safe neighborhoods—safe from gangs and thugs and drugs.
TWO: With federal encouragement, let’s have one state (pick one) in which the following unimpeachable rule applies: any health practitioner of any stripe can practice freely, as long as he doesn’t offer remedies which are more toxic than the standard medical remedies for the condition he’s treating. Do you see the outcome? That state, overnight, becomes a destination of choice for huge numbers of people who highly value the freedom to manage their own health. The economy of the state blossoms like a million roses. The state becomes an example for every other state in the union. They quickly follow suit.
Background: In case you think I’m talking about an inconsequential segment of the population, during the Health Freedom movement of the early 1990s, when the FDA was raiding the offices of alternative health practitioners and threatening to cut off the public’s access to a wide range of nutritional supplements, the Congress received millions of letters protesting these moves—more letters than had ever been received on any issue in the nation’s history. These people are still out there. Some of them came to Trump’s side during the campaign. Some didn’t. They are a potent force. And they spend billions on natural health solutions every year.
THREE: Deploy the cutting edge of new media—live streaming video on the Web—to make a large populist movement into a huge populist movement. Trump (and perhaps you) do several broadcasts a week directly to the people, bypassing the tired old media networks and putting them further in the dumpster where they belong. The substance of these broadcasts (to the whole world)? A blow-by-blow description of life-lifting programs your administration is putting in place—the ground-and-pound specifics, not the usual high-flying generalities—featuring, of course, comments on the people who are opposing you (by name) and exactly what they’re doing to stop the people’s will. This would be a new kind of reporting and speech-making from the president.
FOUR: More live-streaming on the Web—on-site coverage and interviews from the places where the actual work of rebuilding the nation’s infra-structure is taking place. Day after day. And to boot, the same on-site coverage where factories are being re-opened and Americans are reclaiming their jobs. Show all this to the country and the world (if it’s really happening). And while you’re at it, why not stream exactly, and in great detail, what’s actually going on at the US southern border? I’m sure Americans would be interested, to say the least.
If all this suggests the creation of a president’s broadcast network, straight out of his Office of Communications, why not? As long as false PR doesn’t take it over…
Well, Steve, that’s it for starters. There’s more. Hope this stimulates your imagination.
There are untold numbers of independent and citizen reporters online. We’re watching. If real, not fake change is in the offing, let’s see it come out of the box.

Will Bannon actually see this?
open a twitter acct, if you don’t have and tweet the article – everyone can do this…
Bannons acct – https://twitter.com/stephenbannon
Bannon has not used that account since 2014
there is this:

I hope he sees these ideas, they are easily attainable with the correct leadership.
Thank you, Jon, for real good advice on how to make America great again!!!
Even though I’m a Swedish citizen, I’m all for this since a good change in US makes for circles in the water!
Thanks for your open letter to Steve Bannon. I suggest another item:
FIVE: Ask the National Academy of Sciences to reply in public to charges the AGW [anthropogenic global warming, aka ‘climate change’] scam is “almost treasonous“

I like some of the ideas Jon put forth. What out if the box idea would you have to add to this.
Thanks Jon, that sounds like a great start. What about credit unions vs. big banks? Have you seen the documentary The Secret of Oz or read Ellen Brown’s Web of Debt? The entire state of North Dakota has operated with a budget surplus since, before (and during) the great depression as a result of the Bank of North Dakota. One idea would be large infrastructure projects that could fund themselves. Did you know the San Francisco -Oakland Bay Bridge toll collection funds are managed by Wells Fargo? If the bridge funds were managed by a credit union with the primary goal of using the profits to pay for the bridge itself instead of private banker’s third ranches in far flung locations we would be one step closer to a local economy. The bridge may have been able to use US materials for the rebuild vs. the Chinese materials it currently uses?
What about a real Bank of California? What could be done with that?
Observatorycrest here is something you may be interested in reading, a real currency by and for the people.
http://citizensoftheamericanconstitution.net/alternative-currency-proposal/
The bank of north dakota is a good idea, but we still must get off of the fiat money from the fed. Have you read creature from jekyll island or Devvy Kidd’s information?
Terri, I agree that decoupling from the debt based “Fed”(and decentralization in general) would be my first priorities. I loved the Creature From Jekyll Island and I will check out Devvy Kidd’s information, Thanks! I also love James Corbett’s work on the that and many other topics. I think Trump could stick to his original promise to break up the banks and fund many if not each of his infrastructure plans even if only partially without continuing to feed the very corporations that have brought our country to this crisis we are now in.
Glad you have read so many important things OC, and are aware of what is going on. G Edward Griffin has a great website that he updates every week. I like James Corbett too. I think Donald knows how money is created, and is going to need the support and awareness of the people to continue his plans.
If we take your example of the bridge, when you take away the fed reserve, the government would issue grants for infrastructure, and then there would be no need for any taxes. There is more info on how that would look in the link I provided. It would also provide interest free loans to the people for businesses, property and everyone would prosper. There is no need for interest if the government produced its own money. Our country did very well without taxes up until a hundred years ago when they started taxing the people and things have gone downhill since.
As an aside,
I dont know why christians forget that usury is a sin and Jesus threw the money lenders (the visa mastercard etc of today) out of the temple and that was the only example of him expressing anger that I recall. If the christians had been true to their faith, the fed never would have been allowed to take hold.
Our country can not survive if the people continue to remain ignorant about the basic facts and let someone else raise their children and poison them with lies. Only thru personal responsibility and impeccability can we get out of these dark times and regain our dignity and integrity. We must fight as if our lives depend upon it, because they do.
And that way perhaps the repairs could be made to the shoddy job that was done in re-building it over the past 20 years!
[…] there’s nothin there except further implementation of a global plan.
The time for a real currency system, not a debt system of fraudulent fiat worthless money is at hand. If you hadn’t read creature from Jekyll Island, it is a must read if you want to understand how our sovereignty and power was subverted and stolen from us back in 1913. The federal reserve is unconstitutional and is not part of America. The income tax goes to pay the interest on the money created out of thin air by the fed which is a private banking cartel, not to any programs that benefit the people. Andrew Jackson defeated the fed and thru a miracle he was not assassinated because the gun wouldn’t fire. The people didn’t learn and the fed was introduced again and there was no significant protest. Hence, inflation and poverty and never ending debt and no capability to pass on a real worthwhile legacy to our children.
Here is the way or monetary system is supposed to be handled, and all would prosper.
http://citizensoftheamericanconstitution.net/alternative-currency-proposal/
We must have a healthy base to rebuild our country and this is how we do it. Libya was demolished because they did not use the fed and only 3 major countries, which are under attack by the media and the U S are left. North Korea and Syria sound familiar to anyone? Libya was a prosperous healthy happy country and their people loved Gaddafi. They had a higher standard of living than we do. Evil bots like hillary hate anyone who is happy so they must destroy all that is good, just like their leader aleister crowley.
The people in America have finally reached a point they are tired of self deprecation and masochism and many think its time to make America great again. the fastest and easiest way to do this is to get rid of the fed. Donald Trump is someone with the strength of character who could do this and he has enough support to do so.
Debt is the greatest form of enslavement. The fake interest rates combined with quantitative easing have put us on a path of self-destruction. The pure treason by this federal government is in plain view. A nation is based on its borders, language, culture and the faith of its people in the currency they use. We have been betrayed by this corrupt system.
Wow! Love the urban farms proposal. I lived on a rural farm for a year, and the work was hard but rewarding. You sleep really well at night after putting in a good days work picking apples, planting tomatoes, pressing cider. Guy down the road had 80 acres of nothing, and got a nice check from the feds for not planting anything. Take the money from that program and put it into urban farms.
Greg, the urban farm idea makes so much sense in so many ways. Just another of many ways we can feed ourselves without mega-corporations. Have you also seen the Ocean Pastures project? A diverse team of ocean scientist noticed that a small volcanic eruption in the Aleutian Islands in the 1990’s dropped a cloud of iron dust into the pacific. It caused the local plankton blooms to grow exponentially and the rest of the food chain in turn. The scientists from OP recreated the event strategically, in the Pacific Gyre by dropping 40 tons of iron ore dust (factory waste) from a fishing boat causing the entire local food chain to explode in growth from the bottom up. Local fisheries reported the largest Alaskan salmon catches ever reported just a short couple of years later. The pictures are incredible. They say they can do it (seed the food chain) anywhere on earth. Sadly and almost predictably a group of academic technocrats claim it doesn’t fit the carbon trading scheme accounting model but apparently no other form of self sufficiency (including free thought?) does either. A Trump cabinet has the potential to rout such nonsense. Fishing = tons of jobs if we have the fish and we can. I also worry about the Pacific wide Fukushima pollution but I have also been amazed that Rex Research lists over 60 patented nuclear waste remediation techniques none of which seem to be employed for god knows what political and or cultural face-saving reasons. When do we grow up, face up and roll up our sleeves?
Thanks for the info, OC. I had not heard of seeding the ocean to produce more fish. I certainly have read a lot about dwindling fish catches, and the issue is treated as just another inevitable dwindling resource that we have to accept. Trump appreciates the value of resources, and to me having better and cheaper food and energy is at minimum on par with bringing factory jobs back to America. I hope he sees it that way too.
Why on earth do you think the most expensive real estate in the nation should be used for farming? Subsidizing crops is a bad idea. Subsidizing land for crops is worse.
John Maloney – Perhaps have a gander at this short video and see if you feel the same way afterwards. Granted, this video is shot in L.A. but there are creative ways of growing vegetables year round in cooler climates too (e.g., greenhouses, walipinis that utilize stored heat in the ground). Cheers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCmTJkZy0rM
Video description:
“Over 6,000 pounds of food per year, on 1/10 acre located just 15 minutes from downtown Los Angeles. The Dervaes family grows over 400 species of plants, 4,300 pounds of vegetable food, 900 chicken and 1,000 duck eggs, 25 lbs of honey, plus seasonal fruits throughout the year.
From 1/10th of an acre, four people manage to get over 90% of their daily food and the family reports earnings of $20,000 per year (AFTER they eat from what is produced). This is done without the use of the expensive & destructive synthetic chemicals associated with industrial mono-cropping, while simultaneously improving the fertility and overall condition of the land being used to grow this food on. Scaled up to an acre, that would equal $200,000 per year!”
How about crime-ridden areas or cities like Detroit that are demolishing entire neighborhoods? The whole idea is to give people something that will help them help themselves. We could easily pay for this program by selling off bits of federal land. Trump knows real estate (understatement), so I have a feeling we will see some good deals for the people (not subsidies) along those lines.
Wow! Live streaming to bypass the lying mainstream media channels. How inspiring is that? It’s such an obvious thing to do when you think about it.
I really hope they take up your idea. I would love to hear the main stream bleating their protest as they finally die a long and painful death brought solely upon themselves.
Energy too! Is anyone else excited by Brilliant Light Power (formerly Black Light Power)? Randell Mills, a Harvard educated physicist has a published, entirely new world of physics. He claims he can and has extracted over 1 million watts of power from a glass of water with off the shelf technology. He has been holding annual demos of his technology at the Harvard and Yale Club witnessed by hundreds of scientists, journalists and others. He’s in the tens of millions of dollars of funding for his current stage of roll out of his apparently already developed technology. His engineering staff claims roll out next year. The demos are exciting and the tech’ is supposed be at least two orders of magnitude less expensive than any existing technology. De-centralized currency, media, food and energy. It’s a whole new world!
I would also add this to the list for Mr. Bannon. Please take the necessary few billion dollars to protect our national
electrical grids regarding their vulnerability to a possible EMP occurence/attack which can happen naturally by the sun or through a nefarious plot by terrorists. We are in dire need of buffers to protect our grids.
The electrical power grids in this nation are the lifeblood of our nation. For the life of me I can not see how this problem was not taken care of twenty years ago. Please protect our electrical grids, they are a vital part of our national security. Please don’t announce you are doing this President Trump, just do it. It is a priority for all of us who know the dangers of relying on an electrical power grid that is not fully protected right now.
I agree. The use of public funds to deceive the public about natural dangers from living 1 AU (astronomical unit) from the solar pulsar is one of the gravest threats to society’s survival.
You Jon Rappoport just gained a new fan, thanks for sending this letter as I am in total agreement especially since there is so much free internet tools to be had.
Thank you Jon Rappoport for such positive ideas on MAGA! There are many inspiring documentaries on FMTV.com that show the successes of urban (and new rural) ways to farm. But I think one of the biggest threats to our whole world right now is what no one is talking about – the “geoengineering” that is raining poison down on all of us from those strange linear clouds that create a milky haze in our beautiful blue skies.(I really don’t think they are harmless contrails, since they tend to last all day.) Any ideas about how to stop whoever’s doing this? Maybe the same folks giving us GMO non-food?
Counter top farming. Amazing things can be done on a counter. Sprouting. No matter where; easy to do. Healthy food; can help heal a sick body., affordable and quite tasty… Amazing things can be done with sprouts if one gets creative. Jon; been reading you for years; you are indeed an amazing spirit. Peace to you
and yours; Garey
All good ideas!
Looks interesting, Jon
We can theorise ’til the cows come home, but what will happen will happen. If Trump runs with your ball, he will have done the “impossible”. Trump, to his credit, does have the reputation for doing the impossible, though mostly in the negative sense.
We’re buzzed and feeling positive. Maybe Trump, aided by his advisors, can grab that wave with both hands. Anything “could” happen…even the “impossible”.
Of course there’s the other concern, highlighted by Australia’s “elite” PM (even the SMH doesn’t buy his bullshit). The only words Malcolm Turnbull had for Trump beyond the contradictory fake flattery were “international security”. That’s the “dead weight”.
That is why I think Trump has to decimate AIPAC. If the leaders behind that organisation see their security “in jeopardy”, international security will improve “overnight”. ISIS and all the other problems will disappear like ghosts in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, I would recommend an extra team on bodyguards; only one’s he knows and can vouch for personally. The Whitehouse may not become very safe for a while. Ex Australian PM, Tony Abbott, spend office in the Federal Police HQ (an unprecedented move), so Trump should use his imagination.
Best
OT
Don’t expect much from Bannon as long as he understands nothing about Building 7.
Love,
I feel sorry for Trump voters he is not going to hep the people
HE ALREADY IS DESTROYING AMERICA
So your vote was for a criminal Hillary the liar, the lame stream media, The New World Order, the powers that be, George Soros paid riots, & the domination of mankind?
Look, the way I see it, Trump promised he would do this (will he really … I don’t know) but what I do know is … it’s up to us to keep his feet to the fire & insist he follow through.
No one man can accomplish this task, & as you can easily read above there are many of us willing to join him or to make sure this happens.
What you’re doing is drilling holes in the boat you’re riding in, because you don’t like the captain.
[…] Use the most expensive real estate to grow crops. No. Profitable if someone buys the land and volunteers work the farm is not profitable in any meaningful way.
That is why these cities require excessive taxes and the middle class is being priced out. Supply and demand […]
Jon you never cease to amaze with real creativity – common sense and of course, brilliance!
Great – I have been banging on about Growing your own food, healing from you land locally, seasonally and organically and creating an unskilled market that leaves no one behind whilst globally stopping the awful deforestation, extracting, and drilling, dumping and bombing campaigns world wide and de-growth economy, educate why economy is nonce and free up how we are all interdependent NOT codependent….
on and on things could transform….
