The secret behind fake bipolar disease in children

ABC News, 5/11/12: “…Columbia University researchers found a 40-fold rise in office visits among youth diagnosed with bipolar disorder between 1994-95 and 2002-3.”

In 1995, a new wind began blowing across the psychiatric landscape. The public wasn’t aware of it. But among professionals, it was big, very big:

Children, including the very young, could, for the first time, legitimately be diagnosed with bipolar disease (aka manic depression).

The impetus for this “revelation” was a 1995 report, “Is Your Child Bipolar?” written by two doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital, Janet Wozniak and Joseph Biederman.

Biederman would go on to become the target of internal investigations at Harvard and Mass General—did the pharmaceutical money he took influence his judgment in deciding bipolar was a real disorder among children? The charges against him were ultimately reduced to a few light slaps on the wrist; he retained his prestigious position.

But back in 1995, he and Wozniak, as the NY Times Magazine recounts (9/12/08, “The Bipolar Puzzle”), arrived at an earthshaking conclusion about children coming through their hospital clinic: a number of them fit the description of “bipolar irritable manic.”

It was a huge wow for the psychiatric profession. No one had seriously insisted, with “convincing evidence,” that very young kids could develop bipolar.

But now, psychiatrists were going to pick up that ball and run with it. Drug companies were going to develop and promote drugs (very serious and toxic drugs, like Risperdal) to treat childhood bipolar.

However, what the Times Magazine story mentions—but no one pays attention to—is this: Every one of these original manic “bipolar children” coming through Mass General, minus only one child, HAD ALREADY BEEN DIAGNOSED with ADHD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Boom.

What Biederman and Wozniak—and the rest of the psychiatric profession—failed to realize, or didn’t want to see, was: drugs given to treat ADHD (e.g., Ritalin, Adderall) are versions of speed; and speed causes, among other reactions, very irritable hyper emotions, which are indistinguishable from “manic.”

In other words, the obvious takeaway, which no one took away, was that the “manic” symptoms of these kids were reactions to the prior speed drugs prescribed for ADHD.

There was no bipolar.

In fact, and you can find this repeated in many press reports, there are no lab tests for diagnosing bipolar. No blood tests, no brain scans. It’s all done by consulting menus of “indicative” behaviors assembled by committees of psychiatrists. See, for example, the National Institute of Mental Health, “Bipolar Disorder in Children and Teens”: “There are no blood tests or brain scans that can diagnose bipolar disorder. Instead, the doctor will ask questions about your child’s mood and sleeping patterns. The doctor will also ask about your child’s energy and behavior…”

You can give young kids ADHD drugs like Ritalin or Adderall and watch, in many cases, all the symptoms of so-called bipolar come to life before your eyes. In the old days, people used to call this a speed crash.

At first, speed can give a person a sense of clean fresh energy and clarity. Then after taking it for a few days or a week or a few weeks or a month (user reactions vary widely), the person begins to come apart. He’s sitting in a corner, in a puddle of sadness, then he’s very high energy (“manic”) and yelling and throwing things and cursing at people.

He’s crashing.

This isn’t a sophisticated situation. This is basic brain disruption.

Here’s another drug sequence with the same outcome: ADHD diagnosed, Adderall prescribed; child goes into a big funk and this is diagnosed as depression; doctor prescribes Zoloft, which causes a few high-flying “manic episodes.” New diagnosis: bipolar.

Or a young toddler is fed formula that is largely synthetic, and chemicals cause a severe series of reactions, which are labeled “bipolar.”

Or a child is given a series of vaccine shots containing aluminum (a known neurotoxin), formaldehyde, and other injurious chemicals, and as a result develops severe symptoms labeled “bipolar.”

The drugs prescribed for bipolar are quite heavy and dangerous: Valproate, Lithium, Risperdal.

Adverse effects of Valproate include:
* acute, life-threatening, and even fatal liver toxicity;
* life-threatening inflammation of the pancreas;
* brain damage.

Adverse effects of Lithium include:
* intercranial pressure leading to blindness;
* peripheral circulatory collapse;
* stupor and coma.

Adverse effects of Risperdal include:
* serious impairment of cognitive function;
* fainting;
* restless muscles in neck or face, tremors (may be indicative of motor brain damage).

In January, 2002, psychiatrist and author Peter Breggin told CBS News: “Psychiatry is out of control when it comes to drugging children…The drug [Risperdal] has an effect. The effect is basically a chemical lobotomy . . .”

And all this bipolar fakery started in 1995 when kids on psychiatric speed showed up at Mass General Hospital…

And here’s the key paragraph from the New York Times Magazine article, “The Bipolar Puzzle,” 9/12/08, about that decisive moment in time at Mass General: “…In an influential 1995 paper that began the paradigm shift toward bipolar disorder within child psychiatry, Janet Wozniak — the director of the pediatric bipolar-disorder program at Massachusetts General Hospital and co-author of ‘Is Your Child Bipolar?’ — working with the chief of pediatric psychopharmacology, Joseph Biederman, revealed that 16 percent of the children who came to the clinic met the D.S.M. criteria for mania [manic symptoms]. This was shocking news; it was widely believed until then that mania in children was extremely rare. Wozniak reported that the children’s mania most often took the form of an irritable mood rather than an elevated one, and that the mood was often chronic: the norm, rather than the exception. All but one of the manic children in the study also suffered from A.D.H.D.”

It almost seems as if the author dropped in that last sentence as a clue to the whole scam.

    Not sure about the wozniak surname, but wouldnt be surprised to find 2 nihilistic jews behind this. Interesting to note from my brief look into wozniak – Apple co-founder shacked up with “comedienne” Kathy Griffin. Yeah, severed head Griffin. Small world!

    • sundancer55 says:

      Wouldn’t surprise me a bit to find her involved somehow. Personally, I think the entire psychiatric “industry” is nothing but a bunch of doctors who have degrees in a fake profession looking for ways to push it forward. Nothing a psychiatrist does is worthy of note at all. They create monsters. I really have no idea how they sleep at night.

      • Peter Meissnitzer (Gladiatoro) says:

        They create monsters , sounds just about RIGHT. Allopathic medicine disgusts me , corrupt to the core.

  2. Nicole says:

    “Pancreas inflammation” reminded me that many prescription drugs damage the pancreas and cause Type 2 Diabetes, which is becoming very common, in the same way that many drugs cause depression. They’re acting like they don’t know that Type 2 Diabetes is a drug effect, and act like it’s just some mysterious phenomenon of unknown cause. (Note, there are other causes, I’m sure.)

  3. NaturalWoman says:

    Right on, Jon. However I’d like to point out that lithium orotate, a supplement which benefits the brain, is entirely different from pharma’s synthetic lithium, which harms. Natural doctors recommend it with success.

    • Tim says:

      It’s more about how much, that is, the psychiatric use of lithium is at high levels, right near the toxic levels. Lithium as an element, is called an essential element for human nutrition. The FDA won’t come out and say how much is useful. No surprise there. The FDA won’t say what the best amounts to take of several essential nutrients. They have been dragging their feet for about a century now, with regard to what the appropriate amounts are for various nutrients.

    This was no doubt preceded by an even more crippling disorder:

    BTS – Boring Teacher Syndrome.

    Jon, you amaze me. You are always writing about corruption in the medical field, but you don’t give a dam about politics.

    The deep state is about to throw Trump out of office and you don’t seam to care one bit. If they are successful, you will be living under the New World Order. None of the problems you write about will never get a chance to be fix, since,there will never be another Trump.

    So you think that ignoring politics is smart, no, it is not smart. If the deep State wins, it will be hell on earth for everybody.and it will be permanent.

    So please care about politic and inform your readers of what is about to come, so maybe we can avoid the NWO. It is our last chance. It is Trump against the globalists.

    I feel like you are putting the cart before the horse, it wont work.

    • I know FQ.

      They’re about to pop the Donald’s balloon. And what is Jon doing? Writing freakin 5000 word poems, or bits on manic deppressive children and babies. Jesus Christ on a skateboard eatin crackers.

      It took me a week and half to finish that last one — the poem that is –what a dousey that was — digesting that dam poem — and what did I get for it…verbal afriggin dia reah. Night terrors.

      Have we had anything on the Trumpster, no. Are we on the edge — going off the rails — about to hit the big fan. Phftttt, dam tootin.

      I think Mondays should be Trump day. It’s a bad day anyway.

      But writing articles about kids getting jammed up about manic depression, or bi-polarism. They have parents don’t they?

      This New World Order is getting completely out of hand, it’s going to take over, and fuck, then we’ll all be manic depressives. Unemployed manic depressives. Unemployed manic depressives reading 5000 word freakin existential poems ABOUT  WHAT JON? I SICK AND TIRED AND I’M NOT TAKING IT ANYMORE. I MEAN WHOSE GODAM WEBSITE IS THIS ANYWAY…oh yeah.

    A very good article as expected. The same basic “evolving” cocktail of “symptoms” began with incubated “schizophrenia” at the turn of last century.

    But mull over this thought. I know you have already brought in the “pharma” angle.

    How about this? Everyone becomes depressed from time to time, but those that are dissatisfied with their [slave] status and the “system” in general are going to be depressed all of the time. That can spiral in one of two directions – a deeper and deeper manic depression (quasi-denial, hence the elation peaks) or a visibly violent hostility towards the “system” and slave status.

    Perhaps you read my last article when I brought up the “two birds with one stone” analogy in different circumstances. Here “bi-polar” presents an almost unlimited precedence to flog drugs in response, but also gives the “backdoor” excuse for the powers to eliminate potential “anti-Christs”?

    Best
    OT

    • Ah.. a smart guy.
      Interesting point Ozzie me ole son.
      Could you extrapolate on the Anti-Christ bit of your rather informed and wholly intelligent, and scrupulously thought out comment.
      I fell down a hole at that end of your discourse.
      Anti-christ its such a loaded term for an ole altar bouy.

      • Always a pleasure to respond to you, MB.

        I reached the second crisis point of my life. Whatever’s left of my dear old hair is becoming more grey than coloured. Have I finally entered the banal maturity stage?

        I guess I just figured, to a system that operates with such murderous impunity under its own terms of narcissism, any threat to “order” would be deemed work of the devil. In this instance, the devil has a name – anti-Christ.

        There’s more to it than that ‘coz the anti-Christ isn’t any old devil. Christos was a Greek (or was that Roman?) concept that attempted ensconce the ambition of ancient Jewish priest-kings. You know the ones. Once a puffed seer, any puffed seer. Prophets for profit, eh? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. But I digress….

        Christos is what we call Christ, which is what the Hebrews called King (which was priest king). The really important priest kings, that weren’t particularly special, but came along just at the right time to fulfil “prophecy” (nudge, nudge, wink, wink), conveniently, well, these were sometimes called messiahs.

        Now, you see, here is where this all fits with “globalism” (or, rather, what I call “Zionism”). According to the prophets (nudge, nudge, wink, wink), at the precise time of their saying, there would be a one-world order where everything would be safe as there would be peace on Earth.

        Now the trouble is you have to scrutinise “between the lines” to understand what that REALLY means. So what that really means, and you need to bear with me, ‘coz my Hebrew’s not much good. What this really means is if a regime underneath a “prophet” (nudge, nudge…oh you get it) decides the “time is right” for peace, then anything

        And I mean ANYTHING

        That stands in the way of “order” (as proscribed) is the ANTI-CHRIST.

        But, MB, you may well say, [a-gasp], the anti-Christ is only “one”. This maybe correct, but according to the dear Prodigal Son himsen’ Lord bless him, didn’t little Jesus reveal “legion” as the devil. Thinkin’ about that, mebee 500 swine weren’t enough. And you see, Jesus wuz an ex-messiah so he should know about this stuff which is above and beyond insignificant greying mortals of the like of you and I.

        • Erika says:

          you both are aware that Babylon is involved in PHARMAKEIA which was translated as “sorceries”?
          Rev 9:21
          “Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”

          Rev18:23
          “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.”

          The US is Babylon..(or any empire) Recall back in the 90s where there was alot of preaching about how the EU was the “revived roman empire”?
          Hardly.
          Especially since many missionaries actually workeed for the CIA and some well known evangelists were involved in death squads in south america.

          Christ means anointing, by God’s spirit (like David in the OTwhen he was ecstatic and danced before the Lord?)- the modern church have mostly through Catholicism and Protestantism become atheists..they pretty much deny God’s agency of operating in the world, if something supernatural occurs it is “satanic”. They deny the Holy Spirit and the power thereof.
          This started way back at the beginning of the church era.

          • At last, I see a commenter with something to say. Thank you, Erika. A lot of this is news to me. My sources are not-of-this-Earth. I use Earth based contextual references in an attempt to both confirm and “normalise” information.

            Well you have to understand the origins of Satan and this does not refer to the “fallen star”. In fact it is a direct reference to the Anunaki and I explain why in next Exoplotician article.

            As for the “Holy Spirit”, here you are in error. The Holy Spirit (which is part of God) was created as “arbitrator” when differences of self emerged in the beginning as a consequence of the schism, Sophia (logos). This, of course, led to the creation of existence, both known and unknown.

          • Erika says:

            Sounds plausible..will have to check out your blog..do you have a link to the stuff about Satan?

            So for you, what does that burning heart “chakra” mean, where you feel huge waves of unconditional love emanating from your heart chakra?

            I have heard BOTH christians and non-christians say that this is when miracles start popping up-paranormal, synchronicities, healings etc.
            Seen amazing supernatural activity, and mindblowing synchroniciies, but unfortunately no healings.
            If you listen to a Gamma binaural beat (jeffrey thompson) you can get into this state.

          • I have featured the truth about “Satan” in many articles of mine (and in my book). Here’s one that is devoted to the subject https://exopolitician.wordpress.com/2016/12/05/the-satanism-materialism-atheism-connection/

            However, I am currently writing another that is provisionally titled “Saturn, Influential Timelords and Separatist Sirians”. Here I explain the great “con” embroiled in Ra occultism, how corrupt father/son/holy spirit reflects “tamaras” “inviction” and why the Anunaki are both feared and revered by those who know WHAT they are. Thanks to you I also give Pharmkaxia an introduction.

            My website is “one of a kind”. Articles are usually extremely long and there is no other comparable resource on the net.

            You need special genetics to do healings. Human DNA has been “crimped”. Once the ascension kicks in in full force “strange things” may start happening.

  8. The last 20 yrs of my nursing career was acute in-patient psych to include adolescent and pediatric care. Worked every major facility in Twin Cities (agency and staff positions).

    While Jon says nothing new to me, he does make clear this Tsunami of an issues from which there is no escape.
    You, the reader, the patient, the family member who relates to the experiences Jon speaks about in this article have no idea how blissfully ignorant physicians, nurses, pharmacists, et al actually are.
    They are, generally speaking, not of the same mind that was the “Hippocratic” norm when I joined the ranks of the profession in the ’70’s. Back then, the patient was the focus of your care and efforts to help them. Today, it is 180 out of synch. Doc’s and nurses are essentially businessmen with medical degrees operating under the big pharma project poison umbrella.

    Peter Breggin was more correct than most would want to agree. Psychiatry is more dangerous than helpful and the best prognosis for the future is that treatments will cause increasing harm and essentially decompensating the patient.

    Whenever I would receive a new admission to the unit I would give them and their family an orientation which included rules, regs, “do this, don’t do that” kinds of things. The last thing I would tell them, to give them a light at the end of their tunnel was, “the best thing you can do is get out of here as soon as possible.”

    If I could have spoken to those patients before they arrived at the facility I would have told them, “don’t even go there.” The better and necessary care is available elsewhere.

    Be careful with those you love.

    • “Jon speaks about in this article have no idea how blissfully ignorant physicians, nurses, pharmacists, et al actually are.”

      Personally I think you are being gracious.
      But, they know — they know every time they feed a baby a narcotic, they are harming. They know everytime they place one of these poisons in the body and brain of a yet to be fully developed human being — that, they are doing harm.
      You give them to much.
      It has become a dog eat dog world.

      Interesting to note here as a sidebar.
      Babies, children by nature are prone to extreme ups and downs.
      It is part and parcel of the process of development. What I am saying is bi-polarism is a healthy process for a developing child.

  9. In the online diagnostic process of recent times — to look up symptoms and collect as many as you can to suite the ailment that you might have. And I’m speaking about mental illness here.

    Magazines dedicated to specifics on bipolarity arise online as well. They are mis/disinformation. They claim to inform inquiring parents, about their troubled children. Or children who are rebeling against insanity.

    For instance in one site, a list of eight signs to look for in the child with Bipolar Disorder.

    Manic episodes

    Unrealistic highs in self-esteem, or feeling like a super-hero. Risk taking, reckless or pushing the limits. Feeling bullet-proof.

    …That’s exactly what a young person will do in finding their boundaries, and finding their center, in developing their unique personality.

    Depressive episodes

    Feeling down, no future, decreased appetite, hopeless, complaints of physical illness.

    …Kids get down, they read the news, they see a lop-sided world. It affects them. They lose there appetite, and get hopeless we all do. Complaints about illness are natural when one wants to belong and looks around and sees a physically sick world. A tendency to have an illness to fit in, is rational when you think about it.

    Anger and rage

    Intense emotions of anger and rage. Tantamount to violence, destroying personal objects like toys or favorite things.

    …That is a child or a young person developing, coming to terms with their own emotions. Emotions can be terrible things to experience. Some children have difficulty with extreme emotions. This is when young people need our help the most. But they are not mentally ill.

    Severe fluctuations in mood

    Moving back and forth from up; manic, to down; depressed. Change of attitude to peers and friends, even best friends.

    …Nothing to see here, move along. It’s all find and dandy. As natural as the day is long, no need for a medication though. And in modern times with Facebook as a fancy, family life can be a sea of melodrama. Maybe placing limits for online time is a cure, but medication. A diagnosis. No I don’t think so

    Flights of fancy

    Grandious behavior, mania, goofy and giddy behavior at inappropriate times.

    …And if that’s abnormal what is normal for a young person developing into adulthood. Kids do the craziest of things. I did too. They get goofy and clumsy, and are prone to brain farts.

    Family connection (sins of the mother and fathers genetics)

    Did grand dad have it, or weird aunt Nellie. Did dad or mom have it.

    …Well that definitely a sign of illness, if a family member has an illness. Maybe the family member is stuck in a victim status, feeling sorry for themselves. Or need an illness to get attention — like weird aunt Nellie. Nobody talks to the her, she ignored. If she faints and has weird spells, people notice.

    Maybe they have a weak disposition, and are simply needing some life skills. Maybe they are emotionally lazy.

    I know someone, who was diagnosed with depression 25 years ago and hasn’t seen a psychiatrist in that length of time. But he told her she would be on medications for life because of a ‘Chemical Imbalance’. But she did not have a physical examination for what Dr Quack diagnosed. He saw her in his office, and a PHd behind his chair, secured a place in her mind of him being an expert. And still takes her medication faithfully every day. I have looked at her lately and she is twitchy and flat in emotions. I wouldn’t be surprised to see that her sleeping problem, which she takes a sleeping pill for, is related to the medication she takes for being bipolar.

    Changes at school

    Drop in grades, not wanting to participate in school activities. Quitting sports, or teams. Not wanting to get involved in after school activities.

    All kids go through this they rebel, they should rebel. It is part of the process developing into a human. And developing as an individual requires one to spend time alone with oneself, exploring ones own reality. Instead of the team or the group. The group can be life-sucking.

    Differences in similar illnesses.

    Bipolarism is similar to ADD or ADHD. And ADD and ADHD. But bipolars are not tire the next day after staying up all night.

    …well that explains a lot. Personally I believe ADD and ADHD are nutrition problems, and are signals of suppressed creativity. And having to listen to boring people talk about boring subjects.

        ‘Dr. Yank’ yanked our chains and told us the very same thing, this was in 1978. I’d be on debilitating medications for life because of a chemical imbalance. 10. don’t lots of kids dislike seeing doctors and sometimes act up also?
