Ten essential elements of a covert op

Ten essential elements of a covert op

by Jon Rappoport

December 12, 2017

I’m talking about major covert ops, not small ones.

ONE: Compartmentalization.

The tasks necessary to carrying out the operation are divided among players at different levels. In a successful op, these groups of players are unaware of each other. They wouldn’t be able to confess to more than their own roles.

And in many cases, the disparate players would never believe they were part of an op. They would swear they were “doing good”—as, for example, in medical research that was—unknown to the researchers—actually designed to obscure a chemical attack on a population, by locating a virus as the false culprit. By training and by general stupidity, the researchers are always predisposed to finding a virus. The last thing on their minds is that they’re part of an op.

TWO: Gaining tremendous media coverage for the effect of the op (even exaggerating the effects), while hiding the cause and the players who planned it.

THREE: Blaming the wrong people as the originators of the op. Relentlessly discrediting truth tellers who see what’s really going on.

FOUR: Developing and promoting a false cover story to describe the details of the op; in many cases, those details are wrong. For example, the famous truck bomb parked at the curb of the Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995, did most assuredly not cause the human and property destruction that ensued. There were bombs inside the building.

FIVE: Laying down false trails for investigators and independent researchers. In the wake of the JFK assassination, we saw the emergence of many, many “alternative” scenarios. Some of that “information” was designed to lead into dead-end alleys—after much time and frustration.

SIX: At least several goals. In any large covert op, there are a few different objectives, at different levels. For example, certain players gain an increase in status; profits for the elite planners; control of market share; demonizing of opponents; general demoralization of the population. Arguments over “the real purpose” of an op are often misguided. There was never just one purpose.

SEVEN: Testing public response. After an op, analysts are tasked with assessing the public reaction. Did most people buy the official scenario? What objections were raised? Who raised them? An effort is made to be as precise as possible. What lessons were learned that can be applied to the next op?

EIGHT: Controlled opposition. This aspect involves infiltrating independent voices with plants, who try to take charge of unofficial and truthful narrative and steer it AWAY from the truth.

Among the plants are people who promote the most absurd theories possible about the op. And then there are those plants who accuse everyone who doesn’t agree with them of being “CIA agents.”

Note: Several of these functions are actually carried out by people who aren’t plants at all. They’re just crazy and/or desperate egomaniacs. They obtain their highest degree of satisfaction from making accusations against innocent people and inventing sleights against themselves. They live in an unenviable sewer.

NINE: Distraction. After a covert op, the government and the press will sometimes promote and pump a new story, concerning a different “sensational event”—and lean on it for a period of time sufficient to distract the public from the original op.

TEN: Limited hangout. This strategy involves seeding a cover story with some bit of truth to attract the unwary, in hopes that they will buy the whole cover. Or, admitting to a watered down piece of truth about the op itself, to “let off steam” and make it seem as if the whole op has been exposed.

These ten elements (there are more) are standard. They’re not esoteric. Any intelligence agency deploys them in a variety of situations.

For the most part, the press simply takes dictation and reports what front men for covert ops want reported. Of course, the press is seeded with intell assets.

How does a researcher deal with these ten elements? He drills down below the cover story to discover the core facts about the op. He isn’t diverted by the distractions and the fake news.

He must be ready to find some mind-boggling truths at the core and accept what he finds.

Having discovered the core, he can then “reverse engineer” the op and see how it was put together. He can see who benefited at various levels.

In my 1987-8 investigation of AIDS/HIV, what lay at the core was the fact that the virus had never been shown to cause anything. Nor was it a reasonable candidate as a disease agent.

From there, I could assemble the multiple purposes of the op and see who was benefiting. I could separate the dupes and pawns and true believers from the actual operators.

My research uncovered a formidable structure of hierarchical power.

Fortunately, I and other independent researchers who were arriving at different conclusions managed to maintain a cordial relationship, instead of sniping at each other. The few times I encountered megalomaniacs, I basically ignored them. It was a good lesson to learn.

A final note for now: just because ops are covert, that doesn’t mean they are well executed. Quite often the operators make blunders. In that case, the following cover-up carries the freight of mistakes and smooths them out by concocting fantasies that are relayed to the press, and in turn, to the public. And even then, the cover-up can fail to impress intelligent observers. However, through repetition, and by using “experts,” the mainstream media keeps promoting the cover story. In the end, it is the sheer monopolistic power of the press that functions as the ultimate cover.

That is why I named this site NoMoreFakeNews.com 16 years ago. Because that blunt power needs to be dismantled.

We are in the middle of a sea change, where that very thing is happening.

As usual, right on the mark. Great explanation from beginning to end.

A fantastic compilation explaining why ‘WE’ are ‘HERE’!

‘WE’ is the exact symptom of a society that has given away its power, and the CIA is the exact prescription needed to alleviate ‘OUR’ blame.

‘WE’ are the conspiracy. ‘WE’ are the psy op. How is it possible for the creator to be separate its creation without also giving away its authority (its power)?

Just say no to blame…… but if you can’t, the CIA (etc) is ‘HERE’ to help you to be a better ‘WE’. ‘You’ may not like the outcome but at least ‘WE’ will be new and improved!

    Succinct and accurate. Thank you.

11.) A society bred to fear “politically incorrect” more than death itself

    and

12.) The ability of powerful “special interests” to cultivate/maintain *sniff* – “victim status”
with, say, manufactured historical events 180% opposite of the true facts.

    and

13.) A very, very ignorant culture with the propensity to remain that way.
i.e. “Snowflakes” – “millennials” – and the MOST insidious of all those who cannot differentiate between a PATRIOT and a NATIONALIST AUTHORITARIAN.

( I have one working for me – sigh.)

Last night as I was re-reading a passage from John Taylor Gatto’s opus, The Underground History of American Education, I ran across these words from his introduction:

“With conspiracy so close to the American imagination and American reality, I can only approach with trepidation the task of discouraging you in advance from thinking my book the chronicle of some vast diabolical conspiracy to seize all our children for the personal ends of a small, elite minority.”

It’s easy to believe in a conspiracy “out there” but to realize that your own daily life is deeply affected by it, and to act accordingly, is quite another thing. Gatto had a hard time accepting a covert op in his own field, despite the overwhelming evidence that he collected. Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

    • Tim says:

Is it possible he was pulling his own op? That is, ‘look at the data’, then ‘it couldn’t possibly mean what it appears to mean now could it’ ???? Was his tongue in his cheek?

      • Greg C. says:

Yeah, something like that. I think he wanted to not be dismissed as a “conspiracy nut” but privately believed there was one. There is always that dividing line that the general public is loathe to cross. Reminds me of that SNL skit with Victoria Jackson, singing that song about Obama, “There’s a communist … in the White House.” I thought it was funny, because she was portraying someone who naively crossed that line – and yet she probably believed it herself.

Once you open your mind to the possibility of one covert op, you begin to see them everywhere. For me it was the JFK assassination. Once i recognized that this level of evil is possible, it cracked open my ability to see others – fake landing on the moon, 911, vaccinations, swine flu, zika virus, polio, etc, etc. I’ve learned not to trust anything main stream media actively promotes.

  8. Are we talking about the same Donald Trump?…the one who ran the the Miss Universe competition. Ya know the competition that puts women out there on the stage like slabs of meat.
They put them out there in bikini’s and then laugh and giggle when they are asked really hard questions *cough* like..”How would you solve world hunger”
    Trump a mysogynist, fuck yeah.
How many times has he been married? How old is Melania? He buds with Jeffrey Eptein and Clinton, need I go on, how about the recording before the election.
Yeah go ahead, convince me Trump’s a saint. I am not making any accusations…but with that much power and money, he has never crossed the line and walked into the dressing room of the contestants of the Miss Universe pageant.

    • arcadia11 says:

      thank you, michael burns.

to the great misfortune of humanity, unless they take the message and wisdom from the experience, trump is nothing more than a reflection of the majority of the earth’s population. of humans. animals are smarter than that.

      a

    • Greg C. says:

Aw, c’mon Michael. “Misogynist” is a loaded word, and you just cherry pick disjointed facts about Trump which of themselves mean nothing good or bad, and try to connect dots. Give me 30 random dots on a paper, and I can connect them to draw a bird or a snake, depending on my mood. If Trump is such a misogynist, then why are the women who work for him so happy? And of course, we know a man who marries a much younger woman is just a woman-hater. What???

Hey, if someone offered me money to judge a bikini contest, I think it would be fun. I’m no puritan, but I’m not a lech either. Slab of meat? I’m comfortable in my own skin, and scantily dressed women are not offensive to me. Now what really offends me is male strippers …. but that’s just me. I wouldn’t call a woman who enjoys that sort of thing a misandronist, if there is even such a word.

      • Without disrespect…

I think you need Jon’s Matrix Series. There is no President of the United States. There hasn’t been since the Kennedy assasination…it was a coup, yah see.. And the Main culprits are Big oil, the mafia, the CIA and a couple of secret societies, and specifically that asshole H W Bush and Skull & Bones….arggghh, matey. The deep state runs the country, with the usual alphabet soup of agencies. Primarily the CIA and NSA.

A little joke to start. What do you call a game show for pirates?

Winnipeg…lol. Hahaaaha, Winnipeg, too funny lol.

        But I’ll play along Greg…

Trump one year into his term, has no cabinet, held his hand on an illuminated globe with a head chopper. Declared Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Spent 110 million dollars in a fireworks display in Syria, for his homeys…the list is endless. Trump is Nero, he twitters while Rome burns. And is literally bringing the world to the edge of World War III with his intimidation of North Korea. A nuclear holocaust that nobody winds except the elites, when they crawl down into those cushy well stocked under ground cities. While the depopulation via death irradiation, crop collapse and anarchy run amuck.

“If Trump is such a misogynist, then why are the women who work for him so happy?”

….because Donald likes to say “YOUR FIRED” a lot, and so they better be happy.

You think I am connecting dots. I think were there is smoke, there has got to be Indians….sorry wagons, sorry burning…excuse me, FIRE.

I am extremely comfortable in my own skin. But ‘Judging” a woman by her breast size, and how she looks in a bikini is not a competition for women. It’s a competition for men Greg.

I love seeing women in bikinis also, especially when they don’t shave their legs. But each to his own lol.

But ya see Donald doesn’t judge  in the Miss Universe Competition. He OWNS it, he make money of it, he exploits it. He holds in Saudi Arabia, but of course, the women are in Berkas and chains, and they have to be driven to the competition because they are property and they are not allowed to drive.

Was he not the *in a whiskey voice* ” GRAB EM BY THE PUSSY..” guy or am I mistaken. I’ll admit if I am wrong Greg. But a guy who says that is either one of two things Greg; a knuckle draggger;  afraid of what other males will think about him if he doesn’t talk like that…which makes him weak for the office. which we are pretending exists.

Yeah… Trump we can presume, is as debaucherous as the rest of that elite scum. He is definitely a globalist.

        • Greg C. says:

” … we can presume …” Yep, that says it all.

          • Splitting hairs are we…you idol worshippers give me kick. You want to be governed, because you live as individuals. You need the group. You grew up in that “Big daddy’s taking care of business era…”. And have been trained to it, like a Pavlovian dog.

          • Greg C. says:

And you are just like the rest of your group – always motivated by your personal disdain for anyone in power. I can’t waste my time for personal grievances. I’m against the power and the mystique of the presidency and the Feds. But I happen to like Trump, even before he became president. I read his book when it came out in the 80’s and really admired his style. I like the damage he is doing to MSM and NWO. If it is a charade, then that’s a shame, but for the life of me, I can’t imagine anyone who would be willing to put up with the kind of abuse he has from his own party as well as the opposition, while working so hard. If he somehow is gaining personally from all this, it still can’t be worth it. In that respect, his presidency is unprecedented, so I can’t take seriously anyone who thinks he has him figured out after less than a year in office.

          • Foget all that sidebar bullshit about sexuality. To me really it seems irrelevent to the state of the planet.
Answer this one about your President Greg…Tillerson has made the suggestion that the US and North Korea come to the table and talk without preconditions.

Trump who is in the pocket of Israel and the MIlitary Industrial Complex, quashed the idea, and thus is seems is taunting North Korea to war.

Trump is a idiot, an war-mongerer, an elitist and a liar. A big fat fucking liar.
He has baulked on all the important promises he made to his voters. One year in and he has been stripped of power, he is a weak puppet.

          • BTW who is ‘My Group” I alone here and like it that way.

          • arcadia11 says:

            i wondered about that too

          • honestliberty says:

Greg needs to hop on over to truth stream media and watch some genuine journalism. They more than expose Trump for the egotistical scum sucker that he always was and always will be. He is a puppet of the highest order, appealing to his best the same way the dolt the preceded him, and the one before that. It’s more divide and conquer.

The social engineering had been successful. I try to fight it, but damn, it’s impossible with those over 40 who haven’t already recognized it. It’s nearly impossible with my generation, and I’m really wondering if this next generation of emaciated/emasculated pansies have anything left in the mental tank to recognize it.

          • honestliberty says:

            Base* not best
Maybe Greg and Quebec can go be Trump twins. Go March towards globalism out in the open rather than pretending you are against it. Trump is fully vested in globalism. He knows where how bread is buttered

    • honestliberty says:

Oh I would bet what little I have in this world he did, but why does anyone care?
I see this as yet another layer in the hate crime/sex crime/ disobey authority lawlessness masquerading around as law. Rape will eventually be starting at a woman’s ass because God knows how easy it is to really get behind something like that 😉
You know, another mechanism to emasculate the males even further. They won’t even think about hitting on a woman. It’s all playing together very well for the trans humanists.
I know it’s a convoluted message I’m bringing, filled with a few contradictions ( hedonistic culture of promiscuity, although technically that would also play into homosexual/transgender sexual encounters being normalized and actually encouraged by the mainstream so maybe not totally contradictory)

Truth stream media has really caught my attention lately BTW, if you haven’t checked them out they are another great resource of independent journalism.

      • LMP says:

Yes, God help us in the “de-genderizing” and dehumanizing taking place. Shame on the Dems for this new low-end psy-op on the Remove Trump train of convolutions, sacrificing their token Dem scapegoat “deviants” as if that will result in the cow-towing of the most powerful holder of public office in the world.

        • honestliberty says:

Yep. However, I think the phrase “most powerful” deserves quotations. It’s a fantasy bought by the intellectually stunted.

  9. From Quebec says:

You are definitely not a great artist Michael, if you cannot read peoples’ faces.

Look at Trump face, and try to tell me that he is not a good man. Of course you can’t, because you are so blinded by your hatred of Trump that you are losing all your skills..

If there is something that I have learned in this world is that faces don’t lie

    • LMP says:

Agreed, and the prime “telling” face since my awakening is most definitely Hitlery herself; never has a recent figure in the public eye revealed such fakery, selfishness, and complete poser self-righteousness. Hard to even look at.

    • “You are definitely not a great artist Michael, […]”

      I’m not?
Oh well I have something to reach for…I was going to say you not a very good french person. But I guess you are.

Whinning all the time about Trump this and Trump that…if he didn’t have a Billion dollars, he be stuck wanging in his popcorn at the local Rub and Tug

Remind me not to go to the track with you, ya pick losers.

      “That small handed little twitter…”

I don’t give shit about his face…I care that he has a pair of brass balls between his legs and that he is a just and merciless leader with the reptiles of the world.

That he takes all those goy hating jews and sents them back to their Jew God.

That he trys to mend the damage that two generations of knuckle draggers have done to the planet in the name of the USA and the free world.

That he takes the spineless CIA and all those other spy outfits and Nazi secret societies and breaks them for good. Like Kennedy promised.

I don’t give fuck if he’s the elephant man. As long as he is righteous.

Donald has a weak disposition and kisses everybodys ass. Including of all people, Mohammed Bin Salman…fuck that guy. Drone every one of those Wahhabist sons of bitches…send them to all Allah in hell on a cruise missile.

      • honestliberty says:

Michael, I’ve been trying to do my best to eliminate the association of anarchy “an- without” + “archon – ruler” as chaos. What you are calling anarchy I would state is better understood as chaos. Anarchy, better termed anarchony, means “without external rulers”, or complete self government by the individual as a sovereign entity. I don’t doubt you know this, and I’m sure this could be interpreted as semantics, but I feel very strongly this is a critical distinction we must make. I would also argue the evidence for the mind control of the population is the association with chaos every time the word is uttered.

        • I stand corrected…thanks

          • honestliberty says:

It’s all good. There are very few words I’m diligent about. Another good one is government. The word literally means “to rule, to control” (gubanare) + “mind/mental” (mente). The damn etymology tells us what it is.

What’s funny is we’re here talking on a certain level, coming to terms (pretty cool when I discovered the literal nature of that phrase, what were doing now), etc… […]

Anywho. Glad to be posting again and catching up. I’ll likely be taking another hiatus to re-center myself. I get too worked up on here.

      • From Quebec says:

You really have no logic skill to understand what is going on here I guess that is incurable.

But I will have mercy on you and give you a chance: Here watch this video and try to understand it:

Chairman Goodlatte Exposes Clinton Dirty Tricks Crew Running The DOJ’s Investigation Of Trump
        https://www.youtube.com /watch?time_continue=9&v=U_mb-Gn1eiU

        • honestliberty says:

Quebec, you are fully connected to the left right paradigm. The perspective lends through which you view the world is similar to that of a key hole. Here you sit, peering through a key hole in a door attempting to look out into the outside world, all the while holding the key (yet unbeknownst to you), screaming at all of us in the real outside world what it real. That is the perfect analogy for you’re current worldview.

You couldn’t be any more integrated into the divide and conquer strategy. It’s ok though, I understand. It’s easy to want to blame the other party all the time. Don’t get me wrong, the Democrats are despicable creatures ( but so are the Republicans) any they will devour everything good while proclaiming they are creating that which they destroy.
Which reminds me, since you are so fond of that Bible… Isn’t there a quote about removing the log out of your own eye before casting judgment about the speck in another’s?

          Check mate

  10. honestliberty says:

I haven’t read his book, however I’ve seen the interview with Richard Grove. It was my estimation conspiracy is precisely what he uncovered.

Can you imagine the blow back if a teacher attempted to let her students learn what they wanted, in real life, in a major city, unsupervised? I’m assuming incarceration.

Hell, now it only takes burping in class to be arrested, and then yells at the state supreme Court level. Imagine that

    https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/05/13/528273942/middle-schooler-arrested-for-burping-appeals-armed-with-gorsuch-dissent

    • A big Amen to that…yo like Tragedy and Hope do ya…its a good spot. There is a lot to learn there…JTG should be required first year University reading.
      But who am I kiddin.

      Viva la revolution baby…

“I’ve noticed a fascinating phenomenon in my thirty years of teaching: schools and schooling are increasingly irrelevant to the great enterprises of the planet. No one believes anymore that scientists are trained in science classes or politicians in civics classes or poets in English classes. The truth is that schools don’t really teach anything except how to obey orders. This is a great mystery to me because thousands of humane, caring people work in schools as teachers and aides and administrators, but the abstract logic of the institution overwhelms their individual contributions. Although teachers to care and do work very, very hard, the institution is psychopathic — it has no conscience. It rings a bell and the young man in the middle of writing a poem must close his notebook and move to a different cell where he must memorize that humans and monkeys derive from a common ancestor.”
― John Taylor Gatto, Dumbing Us Down: The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Education

      • honestliberty says:

[…] Apparently, Richard Grove just had a podcast with Brett vioulate (sp) from school sucks podcast. I’m going to check it out. My fiance started listening to it.

  11. Jon,

We can argue the toss about “semantics”, but you have covered the basic issues admirably here.

    Best
    OT

  12. Paul says:

The number of “steam vents” is astonishing. They release the pent-up fear/anger/anxiety felt by the public to create the perception that someone at the top is handling the situation, when nothing could be further from the truth. I consider Alex Jones and Ron Paul to be such vents

    • honestliberty says:

What do you mean by “someone at the top is handing the situation”? Are you stating the general individual in the population feels comforted because they believe someone at the top is taking care of the problems in society, or that the idea of a global ruling cabal is fantasy?

    • Greg C. says:

There is no shortage of people who believe people like Alex Jones is just an actor or a stooge set up to create a false perception. It’s impossible to believe – that guy has got guts and has endured all kinds of crap, disinformation, threats and assaults. He has a real son who is following in his steps – he had a real divorce from all the stress of his unique life. What convinces me that the guy is real is his off-the-cuff videos, shot outside studios while driving or walking in public, responding instantly without time to prepare or be handled or coached. And he never passes on an opportunity to have real-time conversations with his associates and callers to his show. He pretty much defends himself single-handedly, and he has done a lot of damage in exposing CNN, for instance, which is collapsing along with the rest of the MSM.

And hey, if Alex is fake, then Jon is too – he often hosts on Alex’s show! Are we to believe that everyone who associates with Alex is to dense to see who he really is, but you somehow are gifted with X-ray vision to be able detect “steam vents”?

      • honestliberty says:

I’m still on the fence about Alex. It seems his ego is off the rails, but had it not been for such a strong presentation I likely would still be stuck believing politicians cared for me

I see him as that “shake you in your boots” wake up call, and the rest is beyond my abilities to assess. He definitely does good, but he’s clearly so far up Trump’s ass it raises red flags for me. He’s also heavily invested in fear mongering, and I resent that approach.
We need to get better at educating and prodding individuals to recognize logic as a valuable tool, promote personal power and care, and discuss viewable options for saving this incredible gift we were given.

I don’t see him operating under any of those pretenses

  13. Theus Isded says:

Jon, thank you again for your work. If only people would look beyond…..

Not to go off topic but you mention:

“In my 1987-8 investigation of AIDS/HIV, what lay at the core was the fact that the virus had never been shown to cause anything. Nor was it a reasonable candidate as a disease agent. ”

Well, there is related news this year (apologies if Jon has already covered this): “In a recent ruling, judges at the German Federal Supreme Court (BGH) confirmed that the measles virus does not exist.”

    http://preventdisease.com/news/17/012717_Biologist-Proves-Measles-Isnt-Virus-Wins-Supreme-Court-Case.shtml

Some question if such thing as a “virus” even exists. Do you ever wonder why most “virus” pictures are CGI images that look like sci-fi aliens ? Why other than to be a psyop? It is a plausible perspective. And there is discussion:

    https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/index.php?topic=68196.0

    and video:
    https://youtu.be/_yq0Y9V9Fec

    • Precisely, when I was child, measles were allowed to run their course; taking in mind that a fever and scratching were to be watched.

We need a lot more young scientists that are individual, and not towing the line of the medical gulds which were taken over long ago by monied interests.

You are, I believe correct, the whole virus thing is a pscho-op, and scarier they make virus the better.

Futuristic ends to a human race, find success in the image and propaganda of some vicious virus. They even try to convince us about human life starting from a virus/viruses.

I find a lot in the idea of psychosomatic idealogy; I think we evolve because we think to evolve.
To except that pschosomatic is a negative response to the body from the mind, is only valid because the negative response can be so violent upon the body, and unknown because it is not believed.

To use the same ideology in the correction of what one believes is a flaw or a weakness of the body can only be good.
I believe I am well and healthy on a deep level of psyche. I believe I am ageless on a deep level, I believe I am separate and I am an individual on a deep level…thusly.

Michael, I struggled with the science-y parts of that article and the supreme Court ruling. Maybe I missed something but I’m having difficulty understanding how these diseases present themselves if they are not virus’s. It would still be some form of pathogen that attacks the weak immune system right? And different symptoms occur for supposed different diseases, so that means there is definitely different strains of something, right? If not a virus it should still be something nasty, and would we then be talking semantics for us lay people, no?

My fiance and I are trying to talk through this because it’s confusing as hell and we’re genuinely interested in obtaining a firm grasp. I just, ugh… It’s dense material.
If measles does not exist they claim that means no virus exists. Bleh. Sadly, I’m confused by it all.

Also, have you looked into any of Graham Hancock’s claims about psychedelics playing a pivotal in human evolution, as far as our self awareness and consciousness?
