Which completely screwed up healthcare bill do you want?

You can have Obamacare. Or you can take the current Republican re-do. Have you read it? Do you know exactly what’s in it? Of course not.

I can tell you this. Every possible healthcare bill has the same flaw. It’s called death. I’ll explain in a moment.

But first I want to mention that, for the past decade, as a working reporter, I’ve taken many actions to put a piece of medical information in front of mainstream news media, and they won’t bite. No matter what. I’ve published the information, backed it up seven ways from Sunday, and it doesn’t matter. No dice.

Here it is. Again. Every year, like clockwork, the US medical system kills 225,000 people. That’s a mainstream conclusion. A conservative conclusion. By extrapolation, that means the US medical system kills 2.25 MILLION people per decade.

Therefore, any new law that places more Americans inside the medical system through insurance plans will increase those death numbers. The death numbers will rise to new heights.

Where does the 225,000 death figure come from? A review in the July 26, 2000, Journal of the American Medical Association, titled: “Is US Health really the Best in the World?” The author was Dr. Barbara Starfield, a revered public health expert at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

When I interviewed her in 2009, not long before her death, I asked whether the federal government was doing anything to comprehensively fix the medical horror show, and whether any official from the government had approached her to consult on that fix. To both questions, she emphatically answered: “NO.”

In her Journal review, Starfield broke down the ongoing medical tragedy this way: annually, 106,000 Americans die from the effects of correctly prescribed, FDA approved, medicines. 119,000 Americans die as a result of mistreatment and errors in hospitals.

Again, it doesn’t matter what kind of national health insurance plan you prefer. As long as it puts more Americans under the umbrella of the medical system, the death figures will rise.

Starfield was not the only person to blow the whistle. I’ll give you two more examples.

Consider this article, “The Epidemic of Sickness and Death from Prescription Drugs.” The author is Donald Light, who teaches at Rowan University, and is the 2013 recipient of ASA’s [American Sociological Association’s] Distinguished Career Award for the Practice of Sociology. Light is a founding fellow of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2013, he was a fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard. He is a Lokey Visiting Professor at Stanford University.

Donald Light: “Epidemiologically, appropriately prescribed, prescription drugs are the fourth leading cause of death, tied with stroke at about 2,460 deaths each week in the United States. About 330,000 patients die each year from prescription drugs in the United States and Europe. They [the drugs] cause an epidemic of about 20 times more hospitalizations [than the deaths: 6.6 million hospitalizations annually], as well as falls, road accidents, and [annually] about 80 million medically minor problems such as pains, discomforts, and dysfunctions that hobble productivity or the ability to care for others. Deaths and adverse effects from overmedication, errors, and self-medication would increase these figures.” (ASA publication, “Footnotes,” November 2014)

One more. The journal citation is: BMJ June 7, 2012 (BMJ 2012:344:e3989), “Anticoagulants cause the most serious adverse events, finds US analysis.” Author, Jeanne Lenzer.

Lenzer refers to a report by the Institute for Safe Medication Practices: “It calculated that in 2011 prescription drugs were associated with two to four million people in the US experiencing ‘serious, disabling, or fatal injuries, including 128,000 deaths.’”

The report called this “one of the most significant perils to humans resulting from human activity.”

And here is the final dagger. The report was compiled by outside researchers who went into the FDA’s own database of “serious adverse [medical-drug] events.”

Therefore, to say the FDA isn’t aware of this finding would be absurd. The FDA knows. The FDA knows and it isn’t saying anything about it, because THE FDA CERTIFIES, AS SAFE AND EFFECTIVE, ALL THE DRUGS THAT ARE ROUTINELY MAIMING AND KILLING AMERICANS.

What I’m pointing out in this article is an ongoing devastation that sits at the bottom of any conventional health plan.

All discussions about which national insurance scheme is right for you ignores that devastation.

The second new health care plan was designed to fail, Trump said that: if we do not have the votes, this time around,(and, they wont), then we will simply repeal Obama Care, That would be great.

Then what he could do, is put it in the hands of private insurances who will allow competition of prices and healthcare choices. Either you choose holistic medicine or alternative medicine or a combination of both..

Everybody would be happy and free to choose whatever they want or believe in.

Informed peoples would choose alternative medicine and it would lower the annual death rates.

I disagree with your proposal. WE the TAXPAYERS pay for the sweet healthcare benefits (D.C. Exchanges) that Congress has! So, what’s good enough for Congress and their families should be good enough for the rest of us!

      https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2017/04/17/do-members-of-congress-pay-for-100-percent-of-their-health-insurance/?utm_term=.405667eb3abb

I agree with Jon on the healthcare system; a lot of death & destruction (I lost a family member to complications from a vaccine-induced autoimmune disease). However, we can eat all the right foods, take supplements, excercise regularly, etc., and still become ill or injured. And especially when as you get older (>50 yoa) degenerative changes start occuring and unanticipated problems can arise. For example, I’m a middle-aged health fanatic and seriously injured my ankle while out jogging last year! I also have a middle-aged friend of mine who is the epitome of perfect health; exemplary diet, no prescription drugs, a gym rat, who developed a heart condition & needed valve-replacement surgery…who would have thought? So, regardless of personal health habits, you can’t predict potential illnesses or injuries.

This where ER medicine comes into play in treating serious & life threatening situations. They do save lives everyday and do the best they can (if people doubt that, then if you or a family member is ever serious injured, then just treat yourself and see what happens ????).
But ER care & hospitalization is astronomically expensive…who could have imagined. So, while our illustrious and Aristocratic members of Congress dilly-dally around with what “they” think is right for us…I say serve us the sweet healthcare benefits that “they” get!

All I can do is cheer and applaud this article. No health care if the best health care. Get rid of all medical authority and licensing. Insurance drives prices up. Stop insurance and get rid of authority and prices of care will plummet. Try it, You’ll like it!

Tragic. But people are waking up and taking control of their own health, thank goodness.

Don’t take a chance, play it safe, get into the system. But safe does not equate with healthy – it all has to do with beating the odds. You have to get people to believe that a certain percentage of them are going to get really sick – that’s a given. Nothing they can do about it. Statistically, you will end up in the hospital someday, they claim. Your life will depend on expensive machines and patented molecules. The brilliant boys in the white coats will make the important decisions. And what do they have to offer you? A chance to survive. The chance of dying is already there, so medical mistakes are just a reflection ot that reality. Can’t avoid it, you might as well accept it, and go with a chance at beating the odds.

Giving someone else control over your chances is always a mistake, especially when it comes to your body. Quantum physics has shown that reality is just a collection of probabilities, which collapse into real stuff when we interact with our consciousness. Medical studies have shown that the placebo effect – consciousness interacting with the body – is huge, and they are having problems eliminating it statistically. We should be going with it, developing it, exploring it. Consciousness-based healthcare. If you agree with this, then you may find the short video below intriguing.

    Don’t want a healthcare bill.
    Don’t want a Federal government.

Such institutions only invite the maniacal to impose their Utopian machinations upon an otherwise contented population.

“This must be said: There are too many ‘great’ men in the world—legislators, organizers, do-gooders, leaders of the people, fathers of nations, and so on, and so on. Too many persons place themselves above mankind; they make a career of organizing it, patronizing it, and ruling it.”

“Away, then, with quacks, and organizers.., artificial systems, whims of governmental administrators, socialized projects, centralization, tariffs, government schools, state religions, free credit, bank monopolies—their regulations and restrictions, equalization by taxation, and pious moralizations!”

“…reject all systems, and try liberty; for liberty is an acknowledgment of faith in God and His works.”

“When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.”

“A man is likely to mind his own business when it is worth minding. When it is not, he takes his mind off his own meaningless affairs by minding other people’s business. This minding of other people’s business expresses itself in gossip, snooping and meddling, and also in feverish interest in communal, national and racial affairs. In running away from ourselves we either fall on our neighbor’s shoulder or fly at his throat.” –Eric Hoffer

Thank you for speaking out on this taboo subject. So, what is the solution? I would venture to say that we need to start sharing natural healing approaches that have worked for people and we need to do it in a very public way. I can think of several ways to do that. We just need the collective will and a little funding to get the ball rolling.

I don’t participate in the killing machine. People need to be responsible for their own health and become their own doctors. Eat alkaline food which is mostly fruits and vegetables.Take tissue specific herbs for your weaknesses. Detox your lymphatic system.

  11. Jennifer says:

we wouldn’t want to be a part of any healthcare plan because the way things are going if you belong you might just be mandated to follow their policies, like in forced vaccinations, although the Department of Health already has “laws” which can invoke mandatory vacs.

  12. Sean Sanders says:

Should some people get to “opt out” of being under our medical system? If they don’t have some sort of card they can’t go into the ED? How would you treat chronic pain? I’d love to show you around our facility in Flagstaff, AZ and show you some realities of how some of these things work.

    • Jennifer says:

Some people live at the line of poverty and can’t afford to be in the medical system. It is a matter of eating or having insurance. If our money system is screwed up, and our government is screwed up, then nothing is going to work right, even a medical system.

So,some people just have to rely on God for help with their lives.

      • Sean Sanders says:

I’d like to extend that invitation to you as well. People in this country, even the poor ones, get to be treated. By physicians and nurses and PTs….not just by “God”.
