Breaking: Obama Judge blocks fed action against sanctuary cities; he raised money for Obama

Judge who just stopped cut-off of fed funds to sanctuary cities raised money for Obama

by Jon Rappoport

April 25, 2017

William Orrick is his name. He was appointed by Obama, in 2012, to the position of US District Judge for the Northern District of California.

He just ruled that the US government can’t withhold federal funds from sanctuary cities.

According to Public Citizen, while working as a lawyer in the private sector, Orrick raised $200,000 for Obama and personally gave $30,800 to various committees working on behalf of Obama.

That signals bias, ideological conflict of interest.

Judge Orrick also, in 2015, blocked the release of the notorious underground recordings of Planned Parenthood, in which the sale of harvested organs from aborted fetuses was discussed.

Could you find a better Judge to defend “the rights” of sanctuary cities?

Given Obama’s stance on sanctuary cities, he may as well have issued today’s judicial order himself. Judge Orrick is his proxy.

I’m taking the position that every Republican took during the Obama years. If Trump is for it, I’m against it, and will do everything in my power to make him a 0.5 term president….Without Question or regard for the outlook of the country!

dkossuber, Take your head out of the sand, and stop listening to the opposition in the media. Republicans didn’t go for the jugular of Obama, he was not even correctly vetted before being elected. He got nowhere near the backlash that Trump has gotten in his short term in office. Democrats have taken every opportunity to denigrate and degrade Trump about everything he has said or done, much worse than any Republicans did at Obama, and should have.

Is this even legal? Are we now governed by the appellate courts? I feel like the country is lost. It seems to be governance by protests and unprecedented judicial actions. I hate to sound religious but the most vile behavior has occurred since Trump was elected. There’s a massive rejection of the system by the left /globalists. Nothing it would seem is to be upheld.

  3. Oliver K. Manuel says:

Thank you for this report. The legal system is destroying its own credibility by such blantently biased actions.

  4. Greg C. says:

Each federal judge has assumed the power of veto over the president, and this is unconstitutional. Why doesn’t Trump simply declare it so? After all, nothing in the constitution ever gave the courts this power. All it takes is someone – I don’t know – in the highest office – to recognize it and assert it. It’s an impeachment risk, but better to run that gauntlet and get it over with than to have his executive authority trimmed back as often as he gets his hair cut.

Solution: Kick out all the liberal Judges put in by Obomba. Thay would be part of draining the swamp.

    • Tom says:

YES! These judges have committed insurrection and sedition to the People and to the Constitution for/of the united States of America. Impeach them all!!!!

  6. Tom says:

Like I keep saying, the people need to support Trump. The people need to start putting these public officials on notice. No one wants to sign their name to a letter to get these thugs out, but it is necessary in order to restore our Republic. Otherwise, this s*** is going to continue. A few thousand complaint letters in and from each state to the DOJ will work wonders. Once a judge or public official is under investigation by the feds, things and people around them start to coincide with the Rule of Law. Sections 3 & 4 of the 14th Amendment provide remedy to the People, it is there for us to use under USC Title 18.

  7. Joy says:

President Trump tweeted today, “First the Ninth Circuit rules against the ban & now it hits again on sanctuary cities-both ridiculous rulings. See you in the Supreme Court!” Now that Gorsuch is on the bench, the fireworks are about to begin (I hope)!

  8. Rich says:

Jefferson warned: The States still retain their rights to this day to defy the federal judiciary, which has become an oligarcy. We just need strong statesmen as governors and legislatures to make that stand!

In writing to William Jarvis, Jefferson said, “You seem . . . to consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions; a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy.”

The germ of dissolution of our federal government is in the constitution of the federal Judiciary; an irresponsible body (for impeachment is scarcely a scare-crow) working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little today and a little tomorrow, and advancing its noiseless step like a thief, over the field of jurisdiction, until all shall be usurped.”

  9. JB says:

So what is Orrick going to do? Compel those Federal agencies with oversight to pay those sanctuary cities? Call out the State Guard and camp out on the door steps in Washington? Those bureaucrats will do what their superiors direct them to do.

    Orrick is a Chicken Little.
