California proves it’s a Mickey Mouse state

The California state government, together with the voting bloc of so-called Progressives, acts like a child who steals his rich parents’ credit cards, maxes them out, gives his new Ferrari to “a friend in need,” burns down his own house, and then complains that things are not going well.
Financial analysts, and even Governor Jerry Brown, agree that the real debt of the California government is…$400 billion. That’s right. This includes bond issues, retirement and pension fund obligations, and health care for retirees.
My, my. And the state has no way to pay for this staggering debt as it mounts in the future.
“Well, we were just trying to help everybody and give them money and benefits.” Yes, I’m sure you were. Here’s a lollipop and a free ticket to Disneyland for your efforts. Now, are there any adults left in California who can try to salvage the ruins?
But wait, there’s more. The new Trump administration is threatening to cut federal funds to California, unless its sanctuary cities agree to cooperate in handing over illegal immigrants for deportation. So California officials, intent on protecting those immigrants, are pondering ways to replace that lost federal funding. At the top of their to-do list? Withholding state-taxes they’re required to send to Washington every year, and using the money to make up for the new impending shortfall.
This isn’t your great-great grandfather’s tax rebellion. This is a massive debtor-state government bloviating about helping immigrants in need while they, themselves, are drowning in a sea of red ink without a life preserver.
“We don’t care how much money we owe. It doesn’t matter. We’re virtuous. That’s all that counts.”
This is Paul Revere riding his horse backwards shouting, “The creditor is coming! The creditor is coming!”
This is a young junkie knocking on his rich father’s door, yelling, “Dad, I just need to tell you I won’t take your money ever again to buy heroin! I’m independent!”
This is, “Give us your huddled un-screened illegal masses coming through the southern border yearning to obtain free healthcare and driver’s licenses and welfare benefits. And even give us those who are here to commit crimes and terrorist acts and take back California for Mexico. All that matters is that we appear to be virtuous.”
It’s far too late to tell the government of California to get its act together. The number-one act in the state is Hollywood. That should tell you something. Celebs, as they build deeper bunkers armed with mortars and missile launchers, are desperately sending out share-and-care messages for the greater good of humanity.
Here’s the kicker. A significant portion of California’s debt is underwritten by big banks: Goldman Sachs; Citigroup, Bank of America; Morgan. Do the California officials who are talking about withholding state taxes from the federal government really think those banks are going to stand on the sidelines while this gimmick-laden plan moves forward? Not a chance. The banks are aligned with the feds. The banks own the government of California.
A few phone calls and the plan will collapse like a snowball in a heat wave.
Who’ll be your sugar-daddy then, California?
One final note—California Governor Jerry Brown, who seems to be a staunch defender of open borders, the immigrant flood, and sanctuary cities (at least he’s not publicly opposing them), sang a quite different tune in 1975.
Clifford Cunningham writes at infowars: “While citizens of South Vietnam sought refuge in the United States following their country’s defeat by communist forces from North Vietnam, many liberal Democrats opposed efforts by Republican President Gerald Ford to admit them.”

“In particular, Brown said in 1975: ‘There is something a little strange about saying, Let’s bring in 500,000 more people when we can’t take care of the 1 million [Californians] out of work’.”
“Julia Taft, who directed Ford’s Task Force on Indochinese refugee resettlement, told author Larry Engelmann in his book, Tears Before the Rain: An Oral History of the Fall of South Vietnam, ‘The new governor of California, Jerry Brown, was very concerned about refugees settling in his state’.”
“’Our biggest problem came from California’,” Taft said during an interview with NPR in 2007. ‘They didn’t want any of these refugees, because they had also unemployment. They had already a large number of foreign-born people there’.”
“’They had – they said they had too many Hispanics, too many people on welfare, they didn’t want these people’.”

I see. Well, how times change. In 1975, it was permissible to reject immigrants and explain why. It was permissible to claim too many people were already on welfare. It was permissible to prefer helping people who already lived in California.
But not now. It’s not politically correct to make such statements or hold such views in public. Now you have to go the opposite way, regardless of what you actually believe. Even if it drops the state into a deeper hole.

But can’t – everything deemed positive – is now deemed verboten. There used to be a saying years ago “as California goes – the rest of the country will also” … Which by and large was true!
But Cali has morphed & hasn’t been a guage of any sort for at least a few decades. Very sad.

One good thing about this – some state needed to go first in setting modern precedent of withholding state taxes from the Feds. I was hoping it would be a Texas or a Montana over a States Rights / 10th amendment issue, but this matter would suffice. The plus with California is that it would be a virtuous lefty state, which makes it automatically OK.
Self-employed people send their quarterly federal taxes directly to the feds. The states cannot hold that money, because they never get their hands on it. Same with private employers – they send their federal taxes withheld from their employees directly to the feds, not the state. So the whole issue is bogus. It’s disinformation. Only the state of California, as an employer, can stop payments to the feds. Then the IRS has no choice but to start imposing stiff penalties.
California is bluffing, folks. They have about 300,000 employees, out of a population of about 40 million. They just don’t have that much leverage over the feds.
What a bunch of hypocrites. They refused South Vietnam refugees who were defeated by the forces from communist North Vietnam
I am quite sure that they would have welcomed with open arms, the North Vietnam communists if they would have lost the war.
I hope that California will secede from the USA. Californians have lost their mind and they will never get it back.

I wrote to Jerry Brown a while back: “You’ve changed. You were completely different back in the seventies. How I liked you, then. ‘That’ Jerry Brown would never have done a whole lot of things that ‘this’ Jerry Brown has done! Have you become mind-controlled? Was the old Jerry Brown bumped off? Is the new one a clone?”
I also wonder if his wife is his handler. The old Jerry Brown would never have married, being gay and all. He was humble and decent and approachable. A student of Zen who had chosen a Spartan existence.

If you analyse this problem less “emotively”, Jon, you will fall over a “can of worms”.
I believe a community, state, nation has to earn its right to an identity. If “white man” was to become really emotive over the “illegal” issue, “white man” would be a good place to start.
Was not America set up as a replica of “Europe” in spite of the Indigenous culture. Therefore to criticise “illegals” in any way [under those terms] is the pot calling the kettle black. And white man still doesn’t like those indigenous natives (when honest; Trump’s first act was to show them the “bird”) – the true “forfeit” owners of the United States of America. Some have aggressively bundled “Indians” in with “Latinos”.
In the “old days” of New Europe there wouldn’t be a difference. Those of “ill repute” were called “Indians”.
I see three circles exposed in your article:
a) fictitious money
Money is merely a communal agreement allotting promissory notes against values. Therefore, if “money” is in short supply, arbitrators can communally agree on expanding the supply (no inflation). However, as money is not underpinned by any “standard” now (beyond currencies must transact through the “greenback”), value can be manipulated in any direction but is also formally “unknown”. Bonds expanded into a giant derivatives market which allowed, via futures and opinions, promissory notes issued against promissory notes. Given these underlying circumstances, to speak “generally” about “funds” is to be deceitful.
b) Government
Government should be “representative of the people”, a cooperative organ that provides the machinations for successful society. Ultimately every “community” should adopt common law variants that tailor the most palatably cooperative aggregate optimum living standards that always place “non-conflict” as the priority. Beyond the occasional “farm commune”, there is nowhere on the planet that governs to enhance the will of the community. If California is “rotten”, so too is the rest of the US. Governors are corporate zealots that care nothing about how their rules inconvenience, impinge on and impact communities.
c) Scapegoats
Because fictitious money has been used as an agent of control on ignorance, unsuspecting masses, ignorant unsuspecting community groups get caught in the blame game crossfire. There was a time when the indigenous Indian was the cause of all the world’s misery. Then the Irish Catholic immigrant workers were the problem and now it is Latino “gangs”. If the governments did their job in supporting and enhancing communities as they SHOULD, there would be not community problems. No indigenous Indian problems. No Irish Catholic immigrant (who, with YOUR FOUNDING FATHERS, did NOT need passports, by the way!) problem. No Latino gangs problem.

As a native Californian, Wife of a CalPers employee, have to say, I’m certainly concerned that my husband worked for all these years, stressed to the max, to likely have NO retirement when we need it. Our best hope, it seems, is that we will be healthy enough to work until we die…oh joy! Conservatives, can we take back our state??
I’m married to one of the Vietnamese Boat People, and I’ll tell Governor Moon Beam that the majority of those families which I now have quite an extended family, send all their kids to college and are not on welfare. The Vietnamese as well as other Asians were actually noted for being the smart ones, to the point that they were no longer admitted into college merely because they were Asian which used to be allowed as part of the affirmative action program.
They actually maintained higher grade point averages and in my extended family, we have Doctors, Lawyers, accountants, pharmacist, dentist, and the list goes on. Considering that Mexicans out number Asians in California, you’d think that Mexicans would be clamoring all over themselves to get into college, BUT THEY AREN’T. Ask yourselves why. Because compared to the Asians population Mexicans do not look at education like the Asians do.
In other words Governor Moon Beam was wrong then and he is wrong now, and is just pandering to those sniveling illegal immigrants and the businesses that employ them, many of whom take care of the California’s Central Valley’s food crops which is one of the bread baskets of the USA.
Of course the farmers and ranchers are up in arms, because their operations are kept in the black because of those illegal immigrants tending their lands and food crops. If Trump’s deportation of illegals hurts those farmers and ranchers, then so be it. They have gone on too long having their way, circumventing the law. Now it is time to pay the piper !!!
Farmers will not Plant, and truckers will not truck. Until we get what we want. Does anyone get a clue that the Democratic Farmer Labor Unions control everything.International unions with Nafta, and Cafta. to make sure the Playing field is even. Globalist have taken over because the cost of living here is too high. Thats why we had Blue Laws in the Past. Times are Tough. So we are going to live off the land a little more than usual. I sure hope that our crops and animals make it good this year!
But it gets even better for those still standing ground b in Kalifornia.
Next year Moonbeam will be gone and there’s three (3) running for his office. There’s Gavin Newsome a staunch supporter of open borders and wild about the LGBT crowd who loves him. Then there’s this clown named Chaing who’s been under Federal and State investigation for over 4 years for imbezellling millions from the StatecTreasury and finally an attorney and former Los Angeles Mayor who is a member of the Communist group La Raza.
So one of these stooges will get he no. I think Newsomes got it, and the attorney will be appointed as the states AG just in time to give this State back to Mexico.
At some time in the future, is this event that historians will deem as the event that kicked off ‘the hot phase’ of Civil War 2?

Speaking of “Hollywood” let’s talk about how many terrible movies are made today when the younger target audience isn’t paying for the movies, but stealing digital images instead. They want all of their entertainment and art and music for “free”, which means, “paid for by somebody else”. And who is paying for the movies that so few are seeing and so few are paying for? Well, let’s have an auditor look at all of the tax breaks all over the place, from municipal right through to federal, plus all of the “arts grants” that help to pay for all of this crap.
