One takeaway from Trump’s inauguration speech: gangs
by Jon Rappoport
January 21, 2017
I could list 10 interesting things Trump said yesterday. And of course, words aren’t actions. Yet. But here is one remark you’re not going to get, and never did get, from any recent president:
“Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities…And the crime and the gangs and the drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential. This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.”
To which Rachel Maddow (MSNBC) replied:
“It was militant and it was dark. The crime, the gangs, the drugs, this ‘American carnage,’ disrepair, decay. You can’t imagine the outgoing president giving a speech like that.”
She’s right, because the outgoing president never did anything to stop the carnage. If she thinks Trump’s language was too militant, she should try talking to mothers who live in those inner cities, who are trapped and held hostage by gangs, who want a nation of laws, and can’t find a way to live safely with their children by eating Obamas’s high-flying empty rhetoric.
Obama somehow managed to spend eight years in the White House and never mention, with any significance, GANGS. Eight years…and nothing. Yet he was The One who was going rescue America’s inner cities.
Find an inauguration speech by any recent president in which the word GANGS appears.
Is the whole point of being presidential an avoidance of stark realities? Is that what all the Rachel Maddows want? They’re not living in those neighborhoods. They’re not up against the gangs and the crime and drugs every day and every night.
The truth is, it’s offensive for a president not to mention these things.
Did Attorneys General Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch go after gangs? Did they raise a finger to stop this scourge?
Did Obama form a plan and put it into action?
Did any federal legislator or bureaucrat raise hell because gangs are controlling large swaths of inner cities?
Did any major news outlet pound on this story month after month?
Guess what? When you add up gun crimes, killings, maimings, and drug overdoses in cities across America, you come to the door of gangs. That’s a shocking revelation millions of Americans already understand, but for some reason presidents are clueless.
Yesterday, though, Trump wasn’t clueless.
We’ll see what he actually does and doesn’t do, but he knows. And he talks.
Offended liberals take umbrage at his remarks, but as usual they prolong decimation and destruction, and they take the opportunity to fly their useless banners of care and concern and opt for solutions that aren’t solutions. They want to look and sound good.
After all, they wanted to elect a president who played a major role in destroying an entire country for no reason (Libya), and they didn’t even blink at the horror. It wasn’t on their radar. That’s how much they really care.
(To read about Jon’s mega-collection, Exit From The Matrix, click here.)
If tomorrow, by some miracle, all gangs in America disappeared, and the communities they ruled came back to life, liberals would find a way to be offended. They would yell and scream. Because some injustice hadn’t been addressed. Because some reparation hadn’t been made.
Because they have an interminable itch that can never be scratched out of existence.
Behind all their pronouncements, they must be able to see victims, on whose blood they feed.
When they imagine individuals held hostage coming back to freedom and strength and self-propelled power in communities, liberated from the carnage of gangs, they see silver bullets moving toward their own vampiric hearts.

Obama was intelligent and had real class. Trump is a lot of hot air plus touching women inappropriately. He is not my President and I believe he is morally unfit to be President.
https://youtu.be/oeDZIyGkGNM
You are right Vernon, the man has put the ‘ass’ back in the very word ‘class’….or is it ‘ash’
You’re morally unfit to be an American and if he is not your president I suggest you move and quickly to another court and see what it is like there.
Obama showed off his dingdong on a plane!
https://youtu.be/ccpIbnmcei0
Nothing you say after that will matter to me.
witch obama showed on the plane berry or mickel
Another voice from “loserpalooza”.
Your idea of “class” is astounding. Years ago it would be called “trash”. “intelligent” used to mean a person with knowledge with a bit of wisdom. Those who possessed both weren’t pathological liars. Amazing how time wilts the easily brainwashed.
Your definition of class doesn’t get the job done. obama has proven that!
When you have nothing to say about someone, you are forced to rely on “generalities”, “gossip” and/or “wilful” slander to get your point across.
Did you have a point, Vernon?
You need evidence – detailed and lot of it to make headway in a place that thrives on intelligence. Jon Rappoport’s forum is such a place. And you calling Obama “intelligent”; are you sure you know what the word means?
Back to your sandbox, son..
Vernon: Now , he’s your president and live with it, just like most of us whom we didn’t vote for Obama 8 years ago and we had to live with its desastreous foreign policies, especially what he did with Libya,Syria, being behind the Daesh/ISIS, killing thousand upon thousand innocents(men, women and childreen) with drones, creating a new cold war with Russia. IS IT WHAT YOU CALL AN INTELLLIGENT and FAIRPLAY EX-PRESIDENT? This guy has never been transparent to the people and HE was a CIA operative. Obama put the USA in a worst position than Bush in every which way he could on Foreign Policy, War agenda, US debts, to name a few. Trump does not belong to Wall Street/military industrial complex/Neocons/CIA criminals and the shadow government who bought and paid a big chunk of the US senators. Trump is not a moll of the MSM brainwashed non-sense rethoric just like you are Vernon !
So my comment has to undergo moderation. You should make it clear that you have to approve a post before it is actually posted. Afraid your readers can not handle comments. Pretty sad statement about your site.
Same old rhetoric, really boring Vernon. Get over yourself, Trump is your President. Or do you live in a different country? Let him do his job, give our President some time and see what he can do. All of us will hold him accountable but to spout this same old tired message is ridiculous and it’s hurting our country.
Thank You Greg!
Vernon, I totally disagree with you. I find people like you have a superficiality that denies doing any actual investigation. Vernon – very disappointing. Unfortunately there are many people like you, perhaps a result of watching too much television; I wouldn’t be surprised. And I do second Greg’s remark with enthusiasm.
Yeah…he’s doing his job alright – he looks to be a great benefit to Big Pharma:
“Trump should be good medicine for the pharmaceutical industry. Here’s why.” (Ed Silverman @ Pharmalot):
https://www.statnews.com/pharmalot/2016/11/15/donald-trump-pharmaceutical-industry/
Haven’t you read the myriad of Jon’s articles on the dangers of medical drugs? 100,000+ annual deaths and over 2.5 million “serious” adverse events from the “normal administration” of pharmaceuticals (FDA’s own stats).
So, lets just exacerbate the problem with Trump policies being “good medicine” (and more profits) for the pharma industry. ????
Hey Vernon, how much does Soros pay nowadays to promote social media propaganda and nonsense? Obama has class, that is real good one. Maybe that comment goes off well in the Land Of Oz, but in reality it just doesn’t fly.
I will give you Obama on the point of intelligence, he executed his plan to take down America with brilliance and precision. Only idiots call him a fool or incompetent. Obama’s downfall was his boldness and arrogance, that is something which is the exact opposite of class.
Funny how people can call Trump arrogant and not see the arrogance of Obama.
Please do list all of Obama’s accomplishments as president down below:
obama was put in by the NWO to take down the usa, he almost finished it off, and set the chess board up to take down the financial system
Jon-
Thank you for your unwavering and steadfast determination to tell the truth. You are a breath of fresh air in a world polluted by MSM smog.
Very well thought-through and written!
Jon,
Brilliant post. President Trump has the toughest job in the world but the man is a stud! Let’s see what he can do. Keep up the brilliant work. I’m new here but really like what you have to say.
You know what, I just started listening to this speech a minute ago, and I already like the way he’s talking. I don’t feel that I have a choice about who is president, because our entire election system is corrupt and hacked in every way, but out of the limited choices we had, I preferred Trump and we got him.
I like listening to someone who ISN’T LYING. He is just talking, and he is talking about REALITY. I can listen to him and actually agree with him that the reality is the way he says it is. Normally, when a politician is talking, my brain just shuts down and ceases to exist, because there is nothing but this blurry, empty, insane, meaningless noise coming out of the person’s mouth. They are talking about life in some other universe. When Trump is talking, the real world stays real.
I don’t know how much power Trump (any president at all) actually has within the government, since the president’s power is limited by many other conflicting forces and factors. So I can’t predict how much his will is able to accomplish. However, I see that the will is there. There is a desire to get things done, to get them done for real, to see results in the real world. Getting things done in the real world is what he stands for. He’s the guy who builds the skyscrapers. Well, he builds something. I don’t know specifically what they do, but they build things and they develop real estate. The point is that this requires the will to get things done, the ability to plan it out, and the ability to muster people together and make things happen. He doesn’t just talk about wishing to make things happen.
So, to whatever extent that this will to get things done is able to operate in the government bureaucracy, in spite of forces acting against his will – I don’t see him just surrendering and being timid and letting everybody walk all over him. I see him actually getting done at least some of what he wants to get done.

Thank you for the link. Very interesting. I ended up listening to the whole video.
You’re welcome. Yeah, usually end up listening to these on Friday evening after they’re released and am kind of organizing around the house and such. These podcasts are always interesting and have vital information to know one way or another.
Brilliant, as usual Jon!
Trump has eyes. He learns about the way things are first-hand, not through meetings and discussions with ideologues. In his book The Art of the Deal, he described how he could learn everything he needed in a very short time, by going to a job site or a prospective property and by talking with the people there. His success is based on his acumen which allows him to act quickly and decisively. He’s not infallible, but he has good judgement, and does not live in his head or in his rhetoric. That came across yesterday in his stark assessment of the state of our nation.
Our country needs a president who isn’t afraid to say what needs to be said instead of pretending the problem doesn’t exist. I think the people who don’t like Trump are afraid. Afraid of having their perception of reality shifted to one that makes them wake up to the truth. Normalcy bias is a tough nut to crack but Trump is the nut cracker extraordinaire! Give him a chance before you judge him. Time will tell if he is for real.
In order to get rid of the gangs in the inner cities, President Trump, (wow it feels good to have a President again) is going to have to get rid of the gangs of Democrats in politics and the gangs of Communists who run the media and the banking industry as well as the gangs of teachers unions who have subverted the education process to create the gangs on the street.
Jay, I laid in bed this morning thinking the exact same thing. Here’s a GREAT article that describes what Trump is really up against: http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2017/01/20/trumps-declaration-war/
Great stuff mate. Thanks for risking it all for us. The tipping point is coming..
Just quoted you on my crazy blog… http://australiansharkattacksfile.blogspot.com.au/
The biggest difference between Trump and Obama is: Trump is no phony and Obama was the biggest fraud this country has ever known. Trump believes in the country and wants to make it better. He knows the key to America’s success is a thriving middle class.
Obama couldn’t care less about America, his ideology was based on taking this country down and eliminating the middle class by using the BS climate change cult as his main weapon.
Hopefully Trump turns the economic engines on and now lets private industry roll. Get this friggin albatross known as the federal government off all her backs. Twenty eight years of globalism has virtually brought this country to its knees. It is time to rebuild and make that word globalism nothing but a bad memory.
Trump had to “make nice” I guess to get through the inauguration. It is now time to get rid of the pond scum/traitors in the various government agencies, the facilitators of Obama’s treason.
Obama fooled a lot of people but I thank God that there are still some critical thinkers left in the USA. President Trump, it is now up to you to be as bold as that last global piece of crap that inhabited the whitehouse. We will hold your feet to the fire. The American people are counting on you to not be a phony, please don’t let us down.
Keystone pipeline, this is a no brainer, get it done next week.
India has a proverb which is translated as “You would appreciate the value of shade only if you had stood in the heat of Sunshine”.
If Americans went by this proverb, they would :end up,thanking Obama (and Hillary Clinton, too, as threat of what was to come after Obama) for making them realise their need for Trump.
Superb
Here I see no wrong word, Jon. You’ve bottled it.
By that I mean, you taken the essence of “what is” captured it, corked it and preserved it on display for public contemplation.
I wrote a long article about American crime [gangs] starting with the Irish back in the 1890’s but I figured the big change came with Reagan in 1984. Now, I don’t believe half of Cathy O’Brien’s (CIA “shill”?) salacious claims, but I also instinctively know “where there’s smoke there’s fire” and Reagan [in particular] came out as a pretty grubby man. I think the whole gangs/associated crime thing was all linked to (and perhaps even bolstered – people to “save”) the phony “war on drugs”.
https://ozziethinker.wordpress.com/2015/10/22/israel-zionist-ambition-isis-and-us-affiliated-connections-part-one/
I don’t want to steal Trump’s thunder, but the solution seems obvious to me.
Best
OT
Hey,hey! There is a new sheriff in town.
…Good one Jon. The implications are staggering on just how he will attempt to tackle gangs and drugs. Maybe take some advice from President Duterte or activate the FEMA camps for all the ethnic gangs and drug lord scum etc. to be the interned in. But in all fairness he needs to throw in corrupt officials and big name drug facilitators. Say, the Clintons for example, being busted for the Mena Airport, Arkansas drug importations and the Bushes for massive involvement in the international drug trafficking black ops.
One other must do (IMHO), is immediately outlaw and strip all Duel-Citizen Government Appointees from their positions.
Make all drugs legal, make people take responsible for their lives and the gangs will disappear. BUT the 1% do not want that.
If you mess with the Gangs you will hear from their political arm, BlackLivesMatter.
My goodness, Jon, the shills are out in droves today, eh?
BLM was established after a Jew (unbelievable, I know!) got away with murder of a black man in 2012.
IMO that is the right classification.
So back to the source then.
Our mutual friend Mr. George Soros.
I just finished reading the below takeaway of Mr. Trump’s inauguration speech.
I just want to Thank you for bringing this forward – clearly & concisely. I just had finished reading a book on crime in the inner cities. And yes, what Mothers & Children are forced to endure. How they need help.
Also a book – Seduced written by Opal Singleton brings to our attention the terribleness of gangs, drugs, & the havoc it is bringing upon our children here in North America. You can go to her site at MillionKids.org.
Also how he mentioned about ALL the dollars pushed at our Education system, but to NO avail. This new Common Core curriculum having been in the U.S. & now being introduced in Canada, is terrible.
Thank you for doing the good work & speaking up on such issues.
L. Kirby.
Why did we not hear a frank Inaugural speech earlier which admiited that the system is rotten?
The answer is : we live in a Politically Correct world.
The Insane are no longer insane. They are only “challenged” mentally. The implication is that like children in a Classroom who suffer Attention Deficient Syndrome, the Mentally “Challenged”s are to compete and prove their worth.
The rationale for developing Politically Correct word is bizzare – by calling the insane insane, you make him or her self-conscious which gives him or her an Inferiority Complex which then draws attention or even pity of Society which he ir she will resent.
There is no word yet in the Politically Correct world for “mothers and children trapped by Gangs” and they could not therefore be mentioned in an Inaugural Speech.
Trump pinched the hit, he came on to the Podium where he did not belong and having spent his life in the world of Business where nothing succedes like talking plain, blunt words, he spoke the unvarnished Word. “Gangs”, Carnage”.
He shocked the queasy Politically Correct World so much that The Guardian complained that Trump dampened the day by speaking of “carnage”.
That made him sound like the Revolutionary with the Bomb. That is how the Marchers want Americans to see him.
