Intelligence agencies make their living by lying: now they’re truthful?

A few delicious contradictions and dissonances:
The political Left has long attacked the CIA and other spying agencies as criminal liars, but suddenly those agencies are as pure as the driven snow, because they claim Russia hacked the US election and took victory away from Hillary Clinton.
Putin, the supposed arch-villain in this operation, heavily censors the press in Russia. That would be bad—except now, many of the people who support the claim that Putin masterminded the election-hack in the US want to heavily censor independent media outlets in the US, who claim the Russian hack is a lie based on zero evidence. Putin censoring news in Russia=bad. Censoring “fake news” in the US=good.
In the push for launching Gulf War 2 in Iraq, the political Left in the US demanded detailed proof that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. When it comes to the accusation that Russia hacked the US election, no proof is necessary. After all, the CIA must protect its “sources and methods.” A simple assertion of hacking is sufficient.
Among green opponents of GMO crops, it’s common knowledge that the FDA never offered evidence of safety before certifying GMOs in the 1990s. However, those green people who support Hillary only need the CIA to say Russia hacked the election to believe it. No evidence necessary.
Here is a 1981 statement attributed to Bill Casey, incoming director of the CIA: “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.”
And how about this one, from David Talbot, author of The Devil’s Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America’s Secret Government. Talbot is discussing James Jesus Angleton, who was the head of Agency counterintelligence from 1954-1975: “These were some of James Jesus Angleton’s dying words. ‘Fundamentally, the founding fathers of U.S. intelligence were liars. The better you lied and the more you betrayed, the more likely you would be promoted. . . . Outside of their duplicity, the only thing they had in common was a desire for absolute power. I did things that, in looking back on my life, I regret. But I was part of it and loved being in it’…”
What we’re really looking at here, in the “Russian hack” allegation, is a wholesale revision of attitude toward the US intelligence community. Now, because it’s convenient for “progressives,” these agencies are protecting the security of the United States with truth, honesty, and righteous investigations.
Much of this revisionist propaganda is aimed at the young, who have never studied the history of the CIA, have zero knowledge of its regime-change ops, its MKULTRA mind-control programs, or its illegal structure that exceeds by miles its original charter.
The NSA is also, of course, involved in the Russian-hack story, because that agency spies on emails and phone calls 24/7. They would surely be able to present evidence about who hacked the Hillary, DNC, and Podesta emails—if indeed any hacking, as opposed to inside leaking, occurred at all. But if they offered information, would you believe them? They’ve been lying about the extent of their spying for decades. Their track record doesn’t inspire holy trust.
These days, major media are lining up behind the Russian-hack claim. For them, nothing matters except the political agenda. For them, the election isn’t over and it never will be. Donald Trump scorched them, time and time again, during the campaign, and they will have their revenge, no matter what it takes.
Further, the emails WikiLeaks released reveal extensive cooperation between the press, the DNC, and Hillary Clinton. That’s a bitter pill for the press to swallow, to say the least.
For example, the Daily Caller (10/17/16) reported:
“A Politico reporter has been caught sending his journalism to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman for approval.”
“In an April 30, 2015 email, released Monday by WikiLeaks, Politico’s chief political correspondent Glenn Thrush asked John Podesta to approve his writing pre-publication. Thrush begged Podesta not to tell anyone he had shared the copy and referred to himself as ‘a hack’ in the email exchange.
“’No worries Because I have become a hack I will send u the whole section that pertains to u,’ Thrush wrote to Podesta. ‘Please don’t share or tell anyone I did this Tell me if I fucked up anything’.”
“The Politico reporter then included five paragraphs from a story he would publish May 1 titled: ‘Hillary’s big-money dilemma’. Podesta replied that, off-the-record, there were ‘no problems’.”
Just to be clear, Glenn Thrush isn’t saying he’s a hacker. He’s saying he’s a hack. Dictionary.com offers a useful definition of the term: “a professional who renounces or surrenders individual independence, integrity, belief, etc., in return for money or other reward in the performance of a task normally thought of as involving a strong personal commitment…”
But that’s not all. On December 12, 2016, Huffington Post reported: “Politico chief political correspondent Glenn Thrush is joining The New York Times to cover the White House, the newspaper confirmed Monday.”
“Over the past eight years, Thrush has emerged as one of Politico’s standout journalists, most recently writing a 13,000-word dive into the pivotal moments of the 2016 election.”
“’We’re thrilled that Glenn Thrush is joining The Times,’ Elisabeth Bumiller, the paper’s Washington bureau chief, said in a statement to The Huffington Post. ‘He’s a premier political journalist, a master of breaking news and long-form story telling and a stellar addition to our White House team’.”
Wikipedia offers this telling paragraph on the revelations about Thrush in the Wikileaks-released email: “The email and its wording prompted criticism of Thrush from some commentators and on social media. Thrush replied on Twitter that ‘checking if a portion of a story that pertained to him [Podesta] was accurate… I DO THIS WITH EVERYBODY.’ Politico’s vice president of communications, Brad Dayspring, said that ‘Glenn is one of the top political reporters in the country, in no small part because he understands that it is his job is to get inside information, not appear perfect when someone illegally hacks email… I can speak with firsthand knowledge and experience that Glenn checks the validity of often complex reporting with everybody, on both sides of the aisle’.”

Exactly. As an aside, I follow a number of artist’s blogs from around the world…distilling the few, and rare, commentaries….it seems that many are waking up to realize that yes, we are living in a web of lies that should be described as the matrix.

I have no way of confirming the following, but according to Mr. William Binney, former technical head of NSA, now a whistle blower along with a number of other unnamed people within NSA, CIA and FBI; there was indeed an electronic hacking operation of the DNC, media, etc. – not by Russians, but by American intelligence service personal (adults) concerned about Hillary’s (childish) negligent, possibly treasonous conduct as Secretary of State. They were also concerned about her dangerously delusional vision for fomenting an unnecessary, unwinnable – though profitable war on behalf of the inbred Oligarchs she and her husband openly represent in contradiction to Main Street American interests. These people claim to have worked with Wikileaks and I suppose others to expose the flagrant corruption now endemic to Washington D.C., the new Versailles. If any of this happened, we owe these brave folks our thanks for a job well done, in spite of obvious concerns regarding the hacking itself.

Jon (and all of your readers), this is a bit of an aside, but I wanted to send out an alert (but you may already know). I usually read your postings first thing in the morning at work, using Internet Explorer, because I will not touch Google Chrome or anything Google now (I’m not allowed to use Firefox at work). Increasingly, I have warnings pop up, either telling me the page will only display secure content, and then often freezing the page, or having a pop-up saying your site does not have a current security certificate. When this happens, it asks if I want to continue viewing, and I usually have to click “Yes” 10 or more times before it goes away and lets me get back to your page.
Needless to say, we all know that this about, given the current push to keep us from viewing truth-telling news and websites…and it will get worse. Censorship is alive and well in our world now! I just want to encourage everyone to keep clicking “YES” no matter how many times it takes to keep reading Jon’s life-saving words! And Jon, thank you for being a brave and never-failing truth warrior! I will keep following in every way that I can!
P.S. And this is why I purchased and downloaded all three of your series several months ago, having a sense of what we were heading into, and not wanting to be deprived of this material that is a spiritual blood transfusion for me!

Did Joesph Goebbels say this? I do not know. All I know is this is the perfect quote to describe the post-Constitutional tyranny we all currently live under. The extreme left will repeat lies over and over and expect people to believe their BS.
I was reflecting this morning about my personal life, and I realized more than ever that the same has been and is still occurring on a personal level with the family and people in my life who are intent on labeling me as the “fake” and the “crazy.” Amazing how it works, where they try to corral and undo the truth-teller coming and going!

If we are going to have a serious discussion this subject, I we need to look at the subtlety in much more detail, Jon.
It seems to me that points have been raised:
a) The CIA is a partisan force that plays politics even though this role is outside its jurisdiction
b) The people are easily fooled, never double check anything, so it would be possible to infiltrate mind given a chance a “propaganda positioning”
c) The elections are all rigged by virtue of the fact (and a criticism levelled at old Communist Russia) that only the “chosen candidate” is given a fair hearing. In the case of Trump, the mainstream portrayal of him was scandalous (for example)
I wonder whether the real concern is not actually fringe medias or conspiratorial websites, but, perhaps, the Russian “mainstream”. It just so happens that many of the genuine “truth” outlets tend to reference sources such as http://www.rt.com
Now RT does not only present well written articles in good English, but they are generally “pro-Putin” it would be fair to say. RT stands for Russia Today. In 2005 they launched a TV network and don’t appear to have been “accepted as a valid information source” by Reuters.
If I wanted to inspect the heart of “fake news”, Reuters would be the first place I’d look.
Anyway, I determine the “system” has been delivered a harsh lesson. The thinking people aren’t entirely ignored by social morons (the majority) and as most “thinking people” have been exposed to RT philosophy by the numerous duplicators out there……well, hey presto!
Net effect? That is why they “possibly” lost the election, but I personally don’t believe that was the reason and the CIA posturing is a big, fat decoy.
The first “finger” to the establishment was Obama. When Obama turned out to be a fake Messiah, a big ol’ fraud, people didn’t reverse position. The “fool” was the obvious choice and that was the “stinky finger” to the powers.

Undoubtedly, you first point is wrong Ozzie…legally, it can be argued, yes, but most have accepted the CIA in that role…
The CIA that we have come to know and love was formed under its longest running director Allen Dulles (the good shepherd). Dulles a career bureaucrat was under the tutelage of none other than Reinhard Gehlen, Gehlen even though he was Wehrmacht; ran German intelligence. A Knight of Malta, he was an insider in formation of the CIA, it is his child along with Dulles. What we see today; the Gehlen Organization, formed after the war; was a sort of school for spies run by master spies. Many of the noblest were corrupted by this organization. and primarily they were taught first the political game. The CIA has always been a political entity, Spookdom are the techniques, and bag of tricks to achieve political ends.

The media and a terribly corrupt system created Trump, he is their just reward, their Frankenstein, they created him decades ago. Laughed at him many times because he was not an insider, and now he will bring them down and hang them with the rope they tried to use on him. I was against him in the beginning I thought he was Hillary’s beard. But it seems the plot is much more complex, from what I see he is a brilliant strategist. RT is under strict condition to report the news, and has no real agenda other than Russian television, as NBC, ABC and CBS is American. Is it propagandist? I would say they try very hard to remain unbiased. It is respected enough to be frequented by the great John Pilger, Paul Craig Roberts and numerous others who are guilty by association, and make it to the PropOrNot list, which undoubtedly is a CIA operation.

The Russian hacking accusation is nothing more than a cover-up. I won numerous bet on this election. In 1981 l worked with a Swiss born CIA operative embedded in Aramco. He told me many astounding things that l refused to believe AT THE TIME. One was this: The Republican and Democratic parties have reached an agreement to alternate the presidency at two term intervals.
Came to a similar conclusion decades ago & wondered when it would be implemented – if ever. However, since your source was CIA ??? … Dunno – there’s more to it.
Trump’s espousing of what over 3/4’s of the population here ‘seem’ to support – it’s possible supporters are similar to the ‘losing faction’ & other false flag events. Millions somehow persuaded/paid for, to ‘go along’, the timing being right.
