Happiness rising: out of a world of conflict and noise
by Jon Rappoport
December 2, 2016
The message of world events and news about those events seems to be: ignore your own life and your future; they aren’t important enough to consider.
If we followed that advice emerging from the maelstrom of noise around us, we would all go down. We would all succumb.
Remember the premise that government in a Republic exists to allow the greatest possible freedom? Remember the idea that freedom involves the pursuit of happiness?
Remember the notion that this pursuit is carried out by the individual? And that his own happiness, by his own definition, is the goal?
If, in trying to make a better country and a better world, every person sacrificed his own pursuit of happiness, a better country couldn’t exist—because all happiness would have been tossed on the fire.
It’s a contradiction.
No matter what else a person does, he must have enough energy and desire to seek his own joy. That’s a given.
When I put together my second collection, Exit From The Matrix, this is what I had in mind: the individual attaining his own happiness by expanding the power of his imagination.
Imagination rises out of the sea of confusion and doubt. It is the infinite instrument for envisioning and empowering the pursuit of happiness.
Imagination breathes life into purposes and objectives and ideals and hopes and dreams and decisions. It says Yes when other sources say No. It soars above the problems that can envelop the individual. It points the way to success.
To the notion of happiness, it says, “Of course. Why not?”
As a goal, joy is rational, in the sense that it proceeds from the basic wish of the individual for himself. The opposite of joy surely wouldn’t be rational.
Imagination is a quintessential quality in attaining what every individual wants for himself.
Joy and happiness aren’t “already there.” Or if they are, they don’t last by themselves forever. There is a pursuit of these goals, and it is real. In whatever way that pursuit is conceived by each person, his immersion in imagination is needed.
Even some children are aware that, when school is out and the endless summer spreads itself before them, they are participating in the meaning and essence and flavor of that immediate future by imagining it fully.
These truths do not change. They are ours wherever we go, wherever we are.

What has been called The Matrix is a series of layers. These layers compose what we call Reality. Reality is not merely the consensus people accept in their daily lives. It is also a personal and individual conception of limits. It is a perception that these limits are somehow built into existence. But this is not true.
What I’ve done here is remove the lid on those perceived limits. This isn’t an intellectual undertaking. It’s a way to open up space and step on to a new road, with new power.

Happiness is a by-product of acceptance of reality – both good and bad – and working to change those parts of reality that violate our God-given rights to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.”
Happiness is a by-product of doing the “right thing” with whatever issue we individually face in life. For example, . . .
If the tsunamis from Trump’s election shatters the web of deceit that isolated humanity from reality after WWII, the late Professor Paul K. Kuroda (1917-2001) deserves a great deal of credit for risking his life to keep post-WWII nuclear secrets available for the public to eventually re-discover.

It took me a 30 years to figure this out, but the pursuit of happiness is much more than the pursuit of self-interest. It’s wide open, beyond rationalization. And as the declaration says, it’s self-evident. If you don’t get it, no one can fully explain it to you. It’s beyond judicial review and philosophical debate. So 30 years later, I did a U-turn. Walked away from my career as a software analyst and the pursuit of money, and returned to my teenage ambition of making music just for the love of it. Cannot explain it, but it makes me happy, and spreads over to my music students as well.
Thoroughly enjoyed your 4th hour hosting on the AJ show yesterday, Jon. How about adding a weekly video message to No More Fake News?
Greg C that’s incredible. Bravo I say!
My research mentor, the late Professor Paul Kazuo Kuroda (1917-2001), accepted the horrors of WWII as a faculty member (nuclear geochemist) at the Imperial University of Tokyo and used that experience to realize in the ruins of Hiroshima in Aug 1945, and to show others later that “the beginning of the world” was just like the destruction of Hiroshima!
Jon, there is no such thing as being reminded of these truths too often…thank you!
Oh what a beautiful thing imagination is. It is something built within the foundation of hope. It is the ability to dream of better things, better things in your life. Imagination can create goals in your life and it can instill the personal work ethic within the individual to achieve these goals.
The problem with today’s society is that many people have lost the ability to imagine, dream and hope. Society has fed people the lie that their happiness is now based on following a script, happiness can now be guaranteed by the government if you just do what they say. If you are not happy today, it is not your fault, it is the fault of another. The rich are to blame, this religion is to blame or this ethnicity is at fault. Something other people are doing is keeping you down.
The pursuit of individual happiness has now been replaced by a government which thinks they can provide and guarantee happiness for everybody. A false utopia which provides solutions for everything. But what is the problem with this premise? Reality tells us government never provided any real solutions but in fact always managed to make things worse. Their track record is pretty awful. The facts tell us the majority of “solutions” the government provides just create more problems. What is the evidence of this? Our very own eyes, ears and present condition of this nation.
We as a society for the most part see government as a huge problem. A conglomerate of corruption feeding on the masses. A government today which is reckless and has created insurmountable debt with very little to show for it. A government which has enslaved future generations and robbed them of their individual hope. A government which has divided its people by using the methods of race and class warfare. Today government is like a cancer growing out of control. It craves power and has built a power structure which acts as a parasite. The politicians today have lost total touch with the very citizens they only pretend to care for. Paying lip service to the masses is their specialty.
Why does government now encourage personal irresponsibility and debt while looking out people who are responsible and who save their money with scorn? Logic says this type of philosophy will eventually destroy a nation. Ah, but isn’t it just about the votes? Yes it is, the Ponzi scheme created by endless government debt and entitlements “given” to people in return for their votes is what keeps this incredible illusion thriving. The only problem is that this kind of facade can be kept afloat for only so long. History and facts tell us this type of system always winds up in disaster and eventually collapses. Liberal Utopianism is a big lie.
Civilizations are built and maintained but eventually come to an end. All great civilizations wind up eventually self-destructing or becoming obsolete for very simple reasons: government corruption and citizens’ complacency.
Almost every great civilization was destroyed from within.
We as a people were given the greatest document (US Constitution) in the history of the world, it told us everybody had the right to the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS, we must realize this happiness is never guaranteed. Happiness is something we can all strive for, but it not ensured.
Eventually as a country we started to take our freedom, liberty, security and our own abilities to achieve happiness for granted. We started ignoring corruption and evil. We began normalizing the outrageous and became comfortable in thinking we were all isolated from our nation’s self-destruction. That we were immune to mistakes and decision making based on what felt good rather than what was right. Now we are stuck in the mirage of moral relativism, lacking the courage to make the tough decisions to reverse course. We are passing the point of no return as a culture, nation and people. Time to wake up or get swallowed up by this huge globalist tsunami heading our way.
We used to be a nation and people who had the traits of physical and mental toughness. We have turned into a bunch of wusses who now refuse to take a stand for what is right and what makes sense based on logic and facts.
We have to stop accepting this inverse reality which will eventually take us all down. It is okay to be scared but we need to find the courage to start changing things for the positive. Time to look in the mirror and hold our individual souls accountable.
I really thought it was quite funny when Alex Jones detailed Twitter’s revenge policies. But then I thought back to one of Donald Trumps ideas in the election: There will be anti-trust laws that will split up Google and Facebook. Why should there only be one Google, one Twittering, etc. Can’t wait for that to happen. Isn’t the American Dream all about imagination and reach for the top of the mountain – as many who want to?! I think so.
You were great hosting Infowars last night Jon and I hope you do it more often. Inner city farming and natural medicine would make the economy so much stronger and bring peace with it as well.
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

Great quote, Quebec! It’s all about the pursuit of happiness, not the chasing of success!
