“There are cultural myths that are easy to overturn. People see through them quickly. But the prevailing core myths are tougher. Much tougher. Most people resist even discussing them. In the old days, the Church tortured and burned people who discussed them. Now, it’s social ostracism. Now, in some cases, it’s the State kidnapping children to send a message.” (The Underground, Jon Rappoport)
Since none of the 300 official mental disorders has any defining physical test for diagnosis, there is no proof they exist. Period.
You could interview thousands of people who say they feel depressed, and you would find significant differences. The more you listened to their stories, the more you would be convinced of the differences.
You would be splitting apart the central idea of “depression” and realizing it has no common center.
This is hard for many people to believe. That’s how brainwashed they are.
There are no common universal states of consciousness. It’s all unique, from person to person.
Just as there is no single enlightened state of consciousness which is the same for everyone, there are no “mental disorder” states that are the same for everyone.
Keep in mind that a dominant myth is supposed to be powerful. It’s supposed to suck in the majority of the population. It’s supposed to be convincing. It’s supposed to be “intuitive.” “Mental disorders” are that kind of myth. It appeals to people. They like it. They salute it. They fall for it.
A dominant myth is supposed to be inclusive, in the sense that people feel lost without it. They can’t attribute all sorts of human activity to anything else but the myth. They can’t see their way past it. They feel stymied without it.
Ever since Pavlov and Freud, the idea of “disordered mental states” has been expanding. It’s reached, in psychiatry, codification. That’s where it really takes on power. Pseudoscientific gobbledygook. 300 mental disorders. And an army of medical specialists ready to diagnose and drug them.
It’s pin the tail on the donkey, but the public doesn’t know that.
For decades, psychiatrists have been claiming that mental disorders are, at the root, chemical imbalances in the brain.
Dr. Ronald Pies, the editor-in-chief emeritus of the Psychiatric Times, laid that theory to rest in the July 11, 2011, issue of the Times — in Psychiatry’s New Brain-Mind and the Legend of the “Chemical Imbalance” (behind pay wall) — with this staggering admission:
“In truth, the ‘chemical imbalance’ notion was always a kind of urban legend — never a theory seriously propounded by well-informed psychiatrists.”
Researchers had never established a normal baseline for chemical balance. So they were shooting in the dark. Worse, they were faking a theory. Pretending they knew something when they didn’t.
In his 2011 piece in Psychiatric Times, Dr. Pies tries to cover for his colleagues in the psychiatric profession with this fatuous remark:
“In the past 30 years, I don’t believe I have ever heard a knowledgeable, well-trained psychiatrist make such a preposterous claim [about chemical imbalance in the brain], except perhaps to mock it…the ‘chemical imbalance’ image has been vigorously promoted by some pharmaceutical companies, often to the detriment of our patients’ understanding.”
Absurd. First of all, many psychiatrists have explained and do explain to their patients that the drugs are there to correct a chemical imbalance.
And second, if well-trained psychiatrists have known, all along, that the chemical-imbalance theory is a fraud…
…then why on earth have they been prescribing tons of drugs to their patients…
…since those drugs are developed on the false premise that they correct an imbalance?
No matter which way you look at it, the concept of distinct mental disorders is fatally flawed.
But the myth survives. It lives on.
Earth culture wants it and needs it. Earth culture is all about constructing a deep core of victimhood that reaches down into every individual and defines and limits him, in the same way that Original Sin and attendant Guilt imposes limits on a so-called spiritual level.
These myths obscure truly dynamic and creative consciousness, which shapes and invents reality.
The pseudoscience of psychiatry is, on the whole, an attempt to block knowledge of the power of individual creative-force.
The mindless acceptance of psychiatry as a branch of medicine gives it the imprimatur of authority.
Myths impose standards of behavior and thought. Then they confirm their validity by observing that people (when imposed upon and coerced) do, in fact, behave and think in accordance with the myth. It’s a closed loop.
If leaders proposed, recommended, and demanded that people see with only one eye, the leaders would eventually go on to observe that people do, in fact, use only one eye.
Obviously, those who insisted on looking at the world with two eyes would be called heretics, or mentally ill. They would be called fantasists who believed in the existence of “another eye.”
And because conformity is the basis for sustaining all myths, sooner or later the population (most of it) would agree that a second eye was impossible.
In exactly the same way, the idea of consciousness which is intensely creative is viewed as a false fantasy.
You can rearrange deck chairs for as long as you want to, but until and unless individual creative consciousness is restored, there will always be a huge, stark, missing gap in any effort to establish social progress.
Yesterday’s victims will be tomorrow’s leaders, and then the roles will reverse again, and so on and so forth. But the cure will never be found.
One myth after another will substitute for the cure.
Taking the long, long, long view, psychiatry is merely a blip on the screen of history—a moment of insanity which attempted to prolong its existence by establishing a monopoly on what constituted sanity and insanity.

Interestingly, Jon, just in case anyone missed it, psychiatry often targets and attempts to limit those that use their third eye.
I can’t believe a man of your intelligence would “accidentally” concoct a metaphor.
That is transcendental writing. Well done.

For these shrinks, Jon, you and I, and all your readers are definitely insane raging lunatics with a severe chemical-imbalance.
Since we, the “insane ones”, who are aware of and try to avoid at all cost, all the toxic chemicals they put into the air, water, food, vaccine and drugs, for sure we must be having some chemical-imbalance in our brains…lol
Fortunately, our mental disorders disappear as soon as we are alone. It takes one person to have a real disease, but it takes two people to have a mental illness. No one has ADHD when alone.

What about Bipolar disorder and Schizophrenia? I did read about MRI’s revealing differences from “normal” people. I lived with a Schizoid for 4 years and I can tell you that he definitely had some strange ways of reasoning – like the decimal .5 is more accurate the the fraction 1/2. They are worse under the influence of alcohol.
Bipolar folks seem to benefit from Lithium supplements.
Lithium destroys the kidneys.
But we miss that important fact out when forcing it into people.
@ OH ZONE
” I did read about MRI’s revealing differences from “normal” – Ozone
Name an instance when you saw two MRI’S that were the same…and what is normal.
“Normal is being well adjusted to an extremely sick society.”
On the other hand…
“Schizophrenia is just a catch-all term for forms of mental behavior that we don’t understand. In the nineteenth century there was a term called ‘melancholia,’ which we would now call bi-polar depression. All forms of sadness, unhappiness, maladaptation, were called melancholia. Now schizophrenia is a similar thing… many years ago I was at a psych library and I saw a book about schizophrenia. It said, ‘The typical schizophrenic lives in a world of twilight imagining. Marginal to society, incapable of holding a regular job, these people live on the fringes, content to drift in their own self-created value-system.’
I said That’s It! Now I understand.”
-Terrence McKenna
Just to add: There is a lot of “inter-observer” & “intra-observer” variability with the interpretation of MRI scans. It’s so bad that I once had a MRI for a sports related knee injury. Three “experts” viewed the images (e.g., orthopedic surgeon, sports med doc, MSK radiologist). All three looking at the SAME images saw something DIFFERENT anywhere from a torn ligament to “just” inflammation. These idiots could only agree to disagree!
Additionally, there’s a thing called “signal artifact” which can be mistaken for tumors, clots, tissue abnormalities, etc. The MRI tech even showed me how they can manipulate the images showing signal artifacts. That’s why many times the surgeon can’t find any evidence of a tumor (kinda like oh s#$@…the MRI showed something in that part of the body?).
And at a couple thousand dollars a pop, who laughs all the to the bank? What a freaking joke.
Oh please, allow me to reply from real life experience: I was called one of your so-called “bi-polar folks.” My adoptive mother Sally Kellerman forced me to swallow pills to numb my creative, vibrant, beautiful Spirit at age 16. I was raging at her digging her nails into my arm to try and control me. She called her Psychiatrist-on-staff and had me labeled “bipolar.” I had been hers to traumatize physically, mentally and Spiritually for many years, so her insisting I needed the pill and that I had a “chemical imbalance” was, actually, her ticket to get away with years of abusing me when I was a small child. The lies were her “Get out of jail” free card. God, you should see her now. Nature has a way of winning where allowed, so I am thriving, happy and healthy and fit, and she is…a sad, sad, sad story. I am grateful for Dr. Hyla Cass MD who gave me insights and tools and amino acids to ease my path away from toxic psychiatry in 2000.
Personally, I have experienced firsthand how completely false, limiting, and torturous lithium and the labels of mental illness are, and how the fucked up “logic” that gets fed with the pills is truly fuel for the suicidal paradigm. I was told from ages 16-40 that I would always have to be medicated, and I would always run the risk of having break-through “episodes.”
All this was their reality, to continue selling massive drugs to trusting, hurting people. My stress as a child was off the charts, and all my issues were buried by medication that added to my pain and suffering. Yes, the pills make sure I would never deal with the underlying pain, so it would always be bolder than the drugs, because God wants it to come up and heal. And so drugs are a mask and a damaging cover up that offers no real help or solution. None. Zero. …My experience.
Drugs from doctors such as Lithium caused me extreme weight gain in 1982, acne, and no Spiritual access for real growth and sense of connection to life or love. I dealt with my pain that had been buried for 19 years in the past ten years…and got back to who I am, not who the liars told me I am for their own profits and manipulations.
Dysfunctional family systems have been found to have patterns and traits that are healed in loving, safe relationship. That is what I have been blessed to find in the ten years since I escaped the force and harm perpetuated by my abusive, sick adoptive parents: they were famous and rich and publicly celebrated — & monsters behind closed doors, with no morals, no ethics and addictions that allowed them to live in denial.
I suggest ACA, a 12-step program that gets it all, in fine detail, and Ger Lyons Healing Events around the world to dismantle the generational shame, pain, and denial that has been passed down and now is conveniently called mental illness. I’m grateful to be living my dreams of regenerative design & singing my songs, and to be supported in life by real healthy honest, sincere people, with zero drugs for the past ten years.
Ha! 🙂 There is hope. Love.
Gratefully. Claire

So you are stating that you were falsely labeled as having a mental illness and you reject that designation. And you reject the notion that medication could help you to “normalize”. Yet, you hint that your mother is/was mentally ill…….and deserves what she got. Not judging; just trying to catch the drift of the logic in all the comments.
Drugs do not “normalize,” unless your normal is wasted, flat, and dead insidel. Drugs numb and create profits out of lies and labels. Magic.
The outrageous behavior of an individual with a schizoaffective disorder, or schizophrenia is the worst form of mental illness a person can have, and only about one percent of the population has it. Living with a loved one who suffers from audio hallucinations, delusions, paranoia, eating disorder, addictions is hell. Finding the right meds has finally allowed her to function and have a life. She became ill suddenly 11 years ago, and I have had to deal with the broken medical community during this time, and was totally in the dark. I tried going through the Ortho Molecular medicine founded by the late Abram Hoffer, and it was a challenge to say the least. When you are dealing with an individual with addictions to soda, junk food, smoking, ect.. The program results in failure plus the cost was outrageous. Finally, a medication cocktail of Aripiprazole (abilify), Celexa, and Klonopin gave her stability, she is still emotionally flat, and has bouts of mania if she is given money, she sleeps a lot, and has gained an enormous amount of weight, but has been able to function, hold a conversation, and has periods of actually being happy. She has been able to complete college classes, and has some goals. Also she has been able to drive a vehicle, which was out the question before. She no longer hears voices, has outburst of crying, laughing, hands waving around ect. Nineteen is when she came down with this illness, and was in the Air Force, now she is 30 years old. She has a little one whom I am raising, but we have lived together for the last two years, and things are going ok, but without the meds she goes into the world of psychosis and it is a living hell. I cannot leave her to live independent because she has no social life and I am fearful she will commit suicide. If you met her you would not know she was ill, as long as she is on the meds. I understand your opinion of the drugs, and psychiatry as a whole, but I find most folks who promote the holistic approach have never dealt with the severity or long suffering of a loved one with the illness, and have no clue the pain of watching them suffer so much, and the feeling of terror that over takes your life year after year. The medication saved us. Long term effects are not good, but at least she can have a life while on the medication. Without the medication she is a shell of herself, it is sad to say the least. Thanks for letting me comment here, God Bless You.
Jon,
Greetings from Ethiopia. This was incisive and sublime. I wonder if you are familiar with Rene Guenon, the traditionalist thinker who has, in his book “The Reign of Quantity and the Sign of the Times,” deconstructed the modern deviation as only a metaphysical master could. Chapters 34 & 35, “The Misdeeds of Psychoanalysis” and “The Confusion of the Psychic and Spiritual” are brilliant.
The theme running through his book is the “solidification” of the world where, as we approach the end of the current great cycle of history, things inevitably descend from the subtle to the gross, from the Principle to the anti-Principle, and from light into darkness. The materialist and rationalist schools are manifestations of this solidification, where the internal, spiritual eye has been gouged out and only the external, material eye remains. Modern medicine and psychiatry, as all things, have not been spared.
The moderns have no conception of a super-consciousness which transcends matter, which is why they have only gone to the sub-conscious, a hazardous, haphazard, and ultimately, lowly place, And therein is the crisis of psychoanalysis, which has reached not for man’s higher faculties, but his lower states. It has also confused the physical brain for the immaterial mind. There is no question that sinister forces want to stifle and compromise man.
Best regards,
MS

Those who see a shrink, are only going there to solidify what they already know in many scenarios. Most people already know the answer(s) to their problems, or what to do about it. They just seek what they already know.
[…] Psychiatrie: Die bewußte Zerstörung des einzigartigen Individuums… Es gibt eine – allgemein akzeptierte – Auflistung von 300 physischen Störungen. Great timing on this one, Jon!
“Survey of 100 psychology papers published in prominent journals finds more than half can’t be replicated”
The novels Catch 22 and One Flew Over the Cukoo’s Nest do a good job in exposing the psychiatric myth. They do it cloaked in fiction; like a trojan horse.
