Do atoms understand language?

Do atoms understand language?

Are you your brain and nothing else?

If so, mind-control programming is quite reasonable

“The idea that somewhere in all the stacked-up universes, there might be a little corner that isn’t made out of matter or energy, but is truly independent of, and different from, sub-atomic particles… this idea confounds people, as if it might mean the end of all existence. It might mean a return to the old myths and fairy tales of the horrific priest-classes. It might mean everything science knows will vanish in a puff of smoke. But what if it doesn’t mean any of these things? What if it means that brutal power and domination could die out? What if it means there is an adventure waiting for all of us, beyond any and all pictures of conventional reality?” (The Underground, Jon Rappoport)

Do atoms understand language?

Why ask such a question?

Because it goes to the heart of the slow-motion car crash that conventional physics has been experiencing for the past hundred years.

The question also puts philosophic materialism into a massive dither, from which it can’t hope to recover.

Conventional physics asserts that the universe is made entirely of particles. Atoms. Quarks, wavicles.

The universe includes the human brain.

Here is a sentence: “The Roman Empire collapsed, ushering in a Dark Age, a time of unprecedented chaos.”

Forget the truth or falsity of that sentence. It’s not at issue. What is at issue is the meaning of the sentence. You’re reading it now.

Do you understand it? Do you understand its meaning?

Of course you do. So do I.

But you see, your brain is made of particles that physicists would say have no comprehension of language. None. Zero.

These particles make up rocks, chairs, toothbrushes, asteroids, suns, brains. The same particles.

They have no understanding of sentences or paragraphs or books. No understanding of meaning, as expressed in language.

So?

Understanding of language must come from somewhere else. How can it come from the brain, if the brain is entirely composed of atoms?

“Hello, atom. It rained yesterday, but today it’s supposed to be sunny, and the temperature will reach 70. Do you understand what I’m saying?”

No answer.

“Hello, atom. I find the metaphysics of Kant impenetrable. How about you?”

No answer.

Of course, physicists will dodge and tap dance and offer diverting explanations: “We’re just beginning to understand the mysteries of the brain…we’re making enormous strides…” And this one, my favorite:

“Humans are conscious and understand meaning and language, we know that. And the only place this understanding could possibly come from is the brain. Therefore, the brain is conscious…”

That’s called circular reasoning, which means you assume what you’re claiming to prove. It’s one of the first fallacies a student learns about, when he’s studying logic (if anyone studies logic anymore).

Some “experts” will make this assertion: “There is no such thing as consciousness or understanding. They’re delusions. So it’s quite all right for the brain to be composed of non-conscious atoms…”

In other words, you and I, sharing the words and sentences of this article, are completely deluded into “thinking” that we understand them. We don’t. We’re just machines made of atoms.

If you buy that argument, I’m looking for investors in my new Thorazine-cookie company.

No, I’m afraid the conscious understanding of language is quite real; and that understanding, that knowing, right here and right now, isn’t emanating from the brain, couldn’t be emanating from the brain.

Where it does come from…well, all sorts of opinions can be offered. But one thing is clear. If the whole universe is composed of atoms, and if atoms have no conscious understanding, then consciousness and understanding come from someplace else. A non-atom place.

For example…

From you.

And by you, I mean a non-material being.

Unmeasurable. Unanalyzable.

No big deal. Just the difference between a squashed collapsed view of existence and an infinite view…

Here is a statement attributed to Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, 1937 Nobel Laureate in Physiology and Medicine:

“In my search for the secret of life, I ended up with atoms and electrons which have no life at all. Somewhere along the line, life has run out through my fingers. So, in my old age, I am now retracing my steps…”

How many other scientists would admit they, too, have come to the same crossroad? The deeper they probe, the farther they find themselves from what life is?

power outside the matrix

How many of them would say, “For the past fifty years, I’ve been quite sure everything is made out of something. Know what I mean? Everything is made out of atoms and electrons and quarks and so on. But those little particles don’t understand anything. They just move through space. Something non-material must possess the quality of being able to understand meaning. And that upsets all applecarts…”

How many scientists would say that?

Again…why does any of this matter? Well, here’s one reason. There is an enormous amount of mind-control brain research occurring all over the world. This research is based on the premise that, when it comes to humans, there is no one home. There is just the brain, and the functions of the brain can be manipulated and carved up and reduced, in order to make “the human machine function normally.”

No problem. No conscience. No guilt. It’s just tinkering with the apparatus.

Welcome to the century of the brain. Welcome to philosophic materialism taken to its obvious conclusion.

Welcome to official insanity.

This is so true, once you recognize the provincial thoughts of our propagandized society, we can see how slow to evolve our thinking has been. We are stuck with antiquated power structures that need to control all to not absorb any truth, making us all insane by association.

The need of understanding the ultimate supremacy of the nature and reality of TRUTH as the governing of reality is not taught.
When you understand that to be supreme you can discern and navigate through the mistakes of mens mouths.
Wether they be scientists or societal dictators like academia and political saviours.
Knowing the truth to be so important fundamentally in all aspects of reality is they key to knowing what is and what is not important. And also it is the key to understanding how what is considered knowledge according to the world is In Fact a prison of lies and irrelevancies, and so, supreme ignorance.

Are they including themselves in that statement? If so, how can they make such assertion if they have no consciousness or understanding.

I wouldn’t say that we were machines made of atoms, but rather we are beings made of atoms. They say that plants can communicate to each other. If plants can do that why not other matter? Just because we don’t hear it doesn’t mean that communication isn’t going on. There are a lot of frequencies that we aren’t able to hear. Speech to us, is nothing more than vibrations within certain frequencies that we hear and interrupt. There is still a lot we don’t know about our world.

  7. I use to get a personal kick out of seeing the deep space images from hubble of galaxies and exo-planets. Of galaxy clusters, and super duper clusters.
They are layers of images that are of different frequencies of light and mainly radiation. A majority are computer modeled.
It gets mind boggling when to start to contemplate the descriptive information of the images.
Example is the light has been travelling for thousands if not millions of years. And the objects in the image was what it looked like long, long time ago. In present time the planet or galaxy could have explodes or crashed into another great object and so it does not exist the way we see it. Maybe doesn’t exist at all… might as well be imagined. But then again it is imagined…imagined through the constructed technology that is the Hubble telescope. Using algorithms and computer code to measure and extrapolate from frequencies of radiation what the object possible looks like according to what is known in our present galaxy.
When I think of atoms, quarks and wavicles. It seems I am experiencing the same thing. The only difference it is on the micro.

Two atoms were walking across a road when one of them said, “I think I lost an electron!” “Really!” the other replied, “Are you sure?” “Yes, I ‘m absolutely positive.”

You have a true gift for taking issues that are normally given to us as being highly perplexing and complex and boiling them down to their basic simplicity, making them readily intelligible to all. “Do atoms understand language?” What a great question. “How can [the understanding of language] come from the brain …. entirely composed of atoms?” What a perfect and simple follow on question. For that, many thanks! And the fact that I’m often falling out of my chair with joy-inspired laughter when I read your articles is a bonus.

Just came across a recent commentary stating that, in quiet corners of academia, in hushed tones, among some scientists and philosophers, an acknowledgement is starting to surface that the intense reductionism and materialism of the last 100+ years has come up empty, and that ‘metaphysics’ needs a serious second look. Don’t personally know if that’s true or not, but wouldn’t it be interesting?

…Energy describes all things, though different kinds of energy –
the kind that we see and don’t see.

    — the material and the spiritual —

maternal (Latin mater(nus) – mother)- ma – material world

paternal (Latin pater – father) – pa – pagan – sun (nature) worship – sun – sol – soul – spirit world

spirit = breath (life force) – The undying essence of a human; the soul. Psyche

Mother earth is the material, whereas the father is the spirit, which some see as the religious deities.
Looking within, each person is both the mother and the father, the physical and the psyche(conscious).

  11. cazzograndissimo says:

Many of Jon’s writings such as this are all about our belief systems, about who “WE” are. Materialists and transhumanists believe “WE” are humans – naked apes, fraught with limitations and frailties but “fixable”. Their mistake is the concept that “WE” are “human” is but a belief. That is what the first Matrix movie was teaching us – we are infinite, immortal beings who believe we are these weak humans.

Stepping outside this belief system is simultaneously frightening and empowering. The best way to prove this reality to oneself is to to literally journey out of body, a very doable thing. To realize at your core level that you are just passing through this illusion is the genie that can never be put back in the bottle.

    Jon,
This info. is very important because this idea of people’s behavior and memory being strictly confined to the electrical activity of the brain is INFESTING the criminal justice system.

Society is coming closer to the “Minority Report” type of justice system–where “pre-crime” or thought crime can land you in prison. Not even 1984 envisioned a society where a machine can scan the brain to determine whether the electrical activity in it reveals a lie or an illegal intent.

But if folks could just see what is going on with the judges and lawyers/intellectuals working over at http://www.lawneuro.org/ , they would be shocked!

The law and neuroscience project sounds like a nice idea. But if you note that the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation is funding it, you would be wise to dig deeper into this idea.

Not only has the bogus “science” of psychiatry taken over the courts (especially criminal law), but now “brain science” is fooling judges into believing free individuals should be locked up based on what some pseudo-doctor claims he can read in electrical brain impulses shown on a brain scan.

This is beyond Orwellian. That whole MacArthur project sounds like the first baby steps toward chipping brains so they can be scanned to prevent crime before it happens.

Jon, go visit this crazy project’s website. I know you can read between the lines there and see what they really want to do with the so-called “justice system” in the future.

  14. Mark says:

The bits, madae on off impulses in a computer have no intrinsic understanding of programing so why should one expect atoms to have some understanding of language?..Conscientiousness is a different story…The exchange ofelectons actually make up thought and electrons also make up matter, so literally tour thoughts can be transformed to matter .This is a point Depak Chopra correctly has made. In following this line of thinking, since almost all matter we interact with also experiences an exchange of electrons then at some level all matter it conscious. The rock is happy to be a rock until it is ground to sand and then the grains are happy to be grains. And so too from bacteria, which have been confirmed to communicate chemically to plants, to lower animals, (ants builts great ”cities” underground and communicate, bees vote) to mammals to humans and beyond.

  15. Mark L says:

All good or great questions… Mind control is an assault on one’s personal space for various reasons. Usually perception is sidetracked, or disturbed to mess with one’s flight or fight instinct to drive the person into a herd mentality for easier control… The goal is really herd control.

Good, bad, or ugly; it’s all existence, all the time.

  16. Jason Calley says:

As you point out, we all experience self-consciousness for ourselves. The only way we can claim to be simply robots is by lying about something which we personally experience every day. So yes, we may be a “ghost in a machine” a spirit of some non-material substance. On the other hand…

Maybe an atom CAN understand language, at least a little bit. Maybe a certain assembly of atoms can understand language a little bit better. Maybe the entire universe of matter is alive, and aware, and conscious! Maybe when we die and our body stops functioning our awareness falls to pieces like dust blown in the wind and is scattered to take new forms and become new lives. The old “self” is recycled just like a tree decaying on the forest floor. The pattern that was YOU is gone, but the consciousness lives on in myriad new forms.

Now THAT ought to frighten the pure materialists!

  17. Ruth Seal says:

I would say that atoms can understand language by way of being affected by our thoughts, as thoughts are things and they can become real.
We are not our brains. We are a mind that uses the brain as a tool.

  18. Adam Lilien says:

Concrete minded individuals including scientists cannot feel and understand the awe of contemplating that all that is emerges from original life, that life is the root of EVERYTHING that is. And this life is truly eternal with no beginning or end. When life is sufficiently pregnant with itself’s intention, creation emerges and keeps emerging and has been emerging from before imagining. From a great and ultimate mystery the levels of order come to be driven by an intelligence that is always prior to form and force and experience and is alway living. What we call atoms are far removed in scale from the roots of creation. Our particle of creation we call the Universe has been born and reborn endlessly always more aware always more capable of expressing the singular Intelligence from which Consciousness and the Creative Impulse has its origins. Life and life as consciousness and capability enfolds itself and unifies Creation from the smallest to the greatest rooted in the same source.

  19. Richard Todia says:

    Well… yes, and no.

You’ve got to admit that the mind control techniques being used are working very well on a large number of people. Why? A possible answer… just a shot… because there is no real will involved and the default setting seems to be on the particle level. (I have read some great books on the brain and neuroscience. I get this science stuff, and yes, it’s real. But it’s not everything. It’s more like what happens when something else isn’t going on… like Creation.)

Back on the subject… mind control does not work well on people who’s will it is to know Truth. It’s all about the Will. We are born with such a will. It’s a beautiful thing. But, it can be, and is being, lost. Parents need to keep their kids away from the boob-tube, the video games, the pop culture, etc. while their brains (persons… whatever) are developing. Doing this might help them to retain their love of, and dedication to, Reality.

“Shams and delusions are esteemed by men, while Reality is fabulous.” (Henry David Thoreau)

  20. Peter Appleby says:

“We are what we think, and with our thoughts we make the world”-Gautama Buddha.-The Dhammapada-

  21. The Physical Body, and the Physical Universe(s) are merely the substantive reflections of the non-physical, parallels to the current state of existence. Consciousness transcends all boundaries and planes. Conscious can also transcend the construct of “time”.

So, the Physical Existences may be formed of a collection of atoms, and various forms of minested, condensed energies, they are NOT the ultimate core nor foundation of existence (or “life”). Life is as a multidimensional exitence, within a multidimensional construct. The “Physical” aspect is but only a part of that construct.
