Scientific basis for GMO crops is false
by Jon Rappoport

Unpredictable effects. Unknown outcomes. Potential health consequences. Uncertain gene technology.
These aren’t phrases biotech giants like to hear.
They prefer:
“One gene produces one protein.”
“Each gene has a specific function.”
This is the basis for the modern biotech industry, and it applies most definitely to GMO crops.
And it is false.
So for example, when Monsanto says the genes they insert in plants only serve to protect the plants from the herbicide Roundup and have no other function, they’re making it up.
For a brief summary of the situation, see Denise Caruso’s NY Times piece, “A Challenge to Gene Theory, a Tougher Look at Biotech,” July 1, 2007.
Caruso reports on the findings of an “exhaustive four-year effort…organized by the United States National Human Genome Research Institute and carried out by 35 groups from 80 organizations around the world.”
“…genes appear to operate in a complex network, and interact and overlap with one another and with other components in ways not yet fully understood.”
“Evidence of a networked [interacting] genome shatters the scientific basis for virtually every official risk [safety] assessment of today’s commercial biotech products, from genetically engineered crops to pharmaceuticals.”
In other words, each gene inserted in GMO food crops cannot be said to have only one function. There is reason to believe the inserted genes interact with genes already in the plants, and produce unknown effects.
Therefore, bland assurances of safety are smoke blowing in the wind.
“Jack Heinemann, a professor of molecular biology in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and director of its Center for Integrated Research in Biosafety”: ‘The real worry for us has always been that the commercial agenda for biotech may be premature, based on what we have long known was an incomplete understanding of genetics…’
Heinemann: “Because gene patents and the genetic engineering process itself are both defined in terms of genes acting independently, [government] regulators may be unaware of the potential impacts arising from these network [interacting] effects.”
Biotech companies like Monsanto are, to be sure, aware of this gaping hole in their “science” of gene-function. In fact, according to Heinemann, “Many biotech companies already conduct detailed genetic studies of their products that profile the expression of proteins and other elements. But they are not required to report most of this data to regulators, so they do not. Thus vast stores of important research information sit idle.”
This means that Monsanto or Dow can conceal what they’ve discovered about GMO hazards. They can hide findings that show unpredicted effects, when inserted genes meet and network with natural genes in the food crops.
If we were merely talking about studies done in labs and abstract articles in journals, that would be one thing. But of course, we are talking about millions of acres planted with GMO crops—and vast populations eating GMO food.
It’s all based on a simplistic and false notion about how genes function.
The biotech giants know this, government regulators know this, and many scientists know this.
But they hide what they know.
And all this dangerous fakery doesn’t even touch on the highly toxic effects of Roundup and other herbicides necessary to manage GMO crops.

Oh, they very well know what they are doing.
Monsanto’s foods are a tool for World depopulation.
First they make you sick with their GMO, and then Big Pharma’s Cartel makes a lot of money on your back and makes you even sicker with all their toxic drugs.
Then, you die. You die young… the goal is attained! Depopulation and no pension to pay for your old age.
They know what they are doing and we know what they are doing and they know that we know.
So why are they allowed to continue? Because of greed and corruption of governments selling their souls to these NOW criminal Eugenists.
I agree. Independent, non-corporate, non-globalist and non-agenda driven, science research would clearly reveal the actual scientific reality, which would also likely reveal any incriminating degree of intent. I propose that the bio-genetic research knowledge pool is far more extensive than most are willing to consider or publicly admit. I would also concur that the underlying intent has nothing to do with the advancement or betterment of mankind.
What became of real scientists and the scientific method? Were they acquired and assigned a new objective?
It was the corporate and financial elites of both Europe and the United States that concluded the only way to successfully implement their deeply seated agenda was to gain control of academia via large financial grants and other funding instruments. Once a reasonably high level of control was realized and using the same funding methods as a means, they were in a position to dictate the future form and direction of science, medicine, engineering, etc., etc.
Each individual that has successfully suffered the long and arduous effort in obtaining an academic degree is issued a license or certification for their compartmentalized profession. This license or certification is symbolic of an elevated professional standing, increased financial potential and a puffed societal status (all ego entanglements [I Am]). The professional license or certification also defines the box in which you must remain throughout your professional career. Stick one foot out of the box and you are at high risk of loosing it all. This is essentially how once good and honest individuals can become enslaved within the system. Most disconcerting is the apparent loss of any cognizance of good and evil; they simply adopt the dictated corporate herd mentality as their own and set off to save the world from elitist myths and fabrications. … a truly Quixotic state of being.
If corporate products, in this case GMO’s or Roundup, are not thoroughly researched to determine their adverse biological / physiological / neurological effects, no defining research papers will be published. If no research papers are published no medical diagnosis can be made and no corrective measures can be prescribed. These undefined adverse manifestations remain unknown and untreatable by the medical community. Sometimes these unknown untreatable manifestations are given a new name with a catchy acronym (ref: ADHD, etc.). The pharmaceutical corporations then proceed (in haste) to develop a plethora of compounds, concoctions and vaccines to remedy the adverse manifestation, often resulting in additional physical deterioration or outright demise.
Based on the fact that no extensive independent research was permitted on GMO or Roundup prior to their release into the environment and the small amount of independent research that does exist report dire consequences, what does human logic leave us to conclude? GMO and Roundup represent only two aspects of hundreds of inadequately studied chemical compounds and permitted processes that are now known to degrade human health. There is the synergistic aspect when two or more compounds or processes combine.
Note: Of some interest is a large independent GMO study that is about to be initiated at an international level. Time will tell if the study is truly independent and objective or simply corporate agenda science wearing an independent mask. Could be an interesting display of opposing forces attempting to achieve “consensus” and / or a “harmonious” resolution.

“So why are they allowed to continue?” I think it is because of climate change, Quebec. Oh it’s real alright and out-of-control run away right now. The planet is in peril and food won’t grow because of this peril and what is being done in a stupid attempt to try and avert the peril. GMO’s are altered to grow in bad conditions real food plants can’t grow in. Everything else you said is true, but climate change is the component driving the eugenist’s insanity to save “some” of the earth, and them of course. Bet they have their own stock of organics, just like healthcare and pensions etc. They wouldn’t dare use what they give us. LOL. [Go to startpage.com and search for] Earthquakes, you’re having them too Quebec. This is global warming/climate change. A globe warming from the core. Seems our magnetic energy field of protection is diminishing as well. No no, I’m not chicken little, I speak only the truth. Why do we have chem-trails ya think? Why do we have GMO’s ya think? Think. Then apply the rest of what you said. Then pray a lot. **Keep yelling HEY too.** You are right. Thanks.
THE PEOPLE at monsanto have sold their soul to SATAN for bread crumbs, and they’ve made so much money doing it, they don’t care if they ALL wind up in HELL, sadly everyone who sells their poison will be going with them…ALONG with most of the people who have poisoned the earth with it, stupid is as stupid does……..
You got me thinking… just to add…
I bet that Monsatan’s “coporate security team” is used to spy on and to inflitrate anti-GMO “activists”.
And, in this day and age, it is easy for us to take that premise one step futher…
Say, that, under the guise of a so-called “public private partnership” (a fraudulent ‘legal’ contract used to provide an air of ‘legitimacy’)… where, say, the CEO of Monsatan [Hugh Grant], is say, flying (on his private jet) into, say, Cincinati, to see, say, a Cincinnati Bengals football game… that THE “security advance team”, is, first and formost, the federally run “DHS fusion center — assigned to monitor the domestic electronic communitcation in the Cincinnati region — which would include the pro-active monitoring of social media sites in that area.” And, said DHS office, probably has a software monitoring tool, from a company, like, say, Palinteer, where they type in “Cincinati” and set the geo parameter to “100 mile radius” of, say, the city center.
(Then, all these “side issues” arise: Here’s one: A peaceful homeschooling Mom — living with her husband and children in the suburbs of Cincinati (within that “100 mile radius”) [and, who, by the way does not vaccinate her three lovely children (ages 5, 8, and 11) (one boy, two daughters)] — who believes in the political process, and, who, is, obviously, oblivious to the CEO of Monsatan’s ‘travel plans’ — posts an “anti gmo” article on her facebook — where said article includes the word “monsanto” in it. Does her facebook page automatically get put into a “federal database”? If yes, then was the “nexus” for doing so the “(unfortunate) timing” of the CEO of Monsatan’s ‘travel plans’ and the peaceful homeschooling Mom’s posting to facebook? An electronic Stazi judo move? Just like that? All “sterile” like?)
So, I guess, what I mean to say, is that, the compartmentalized DHS fusion center “agents” are going to go HELL, too. (“Their souls have been convicted in the court of public opinion.”)
If I recall, there is a special report about that — about the DHS fusion center agents assiting in “protecting CEOs”, acting as the “virtual security advance teams” — somewhere, here: https://publicintelligence.net/
This one, below, is for all the compartmentalized DHS fusion center “agents” who may read this rant… something like this,… you get the jist of what i mean,…

Ouch! This video tells it all. Good find theodore! I really enjoyed it. Thank you.
[…] No More Fake News […]
Taleb wrote a Precautionary Principle (with Application to GMOs) paper on this. He agrees, and concluded that the use of GMO risks global ruin:
“Labeling the GMO approach “scientific” betrays a very poor—indeed warped—understanding of probabilistic payoffs and risk management. A lack of observations of explicit harm does not show absence of hidden risks.
[…]
Given the limited oversight that is taking place on GMO introductions in the US, and the global impact of those introductions, we are precisely in the regime of the ruin problem.”

In related news, within an article titled, ‘Maybe You Aren’t Actually Gluten Intolerant. Maybe You’re Just Poison Intolerant’ over at theorganicprepper.ca the author links to an article, ‘The Real Reason Wheat is Toxic (it’s not the gluten)’ which downplays the role GMO’s might play, however; I found this bit interesting:
“Standard wheat harvest protocol in the United States is to drench the wheat fields with Roundup several days before the combine harvesters work through the fields as withered, dead wheat plants are less taxing on the farm equipment and allows for an earlier, easier and bigger harvest
Pre-harvest application of the herbicide Roundup and other herbicides containing the deadly active ingredient glyphosate to wheat and barley as a desiccant was suggested as early as 1980. It has since become routine over the past 15 years and is used as a drying agent 7-10 days before harvest within the conventional farming community. […]
when you expose wheat to a toxic chemical like glyphosate, it actually releases more seeds resulting in a slightly greater yield: “It ‘goes to seed’ as it dies. At its last gasp, it releases the seed.”
According to the US Department of Agriculture, as of 2012, 99% of durum wheat, 97% of spring wheat, and 61% of winter wheat has been doused with Roundup as part of the harvesting process. This is an increase from 88% for durum wheat, 91% for spring wheat and 47% for winter wheat since 1998. […]
Consumers eating products made from wheat flour are undoubtedly consuming minute amounts of Roundup. An interesting aside, malt barley which is made into beer is not acceptable in the marketplace if it has been sprayed with preharvest Roundup. Lentils and peas are not accepted in the market place if it was sprayed with preharvest roundup….. but wheat is ok.. […]
While the herbicide industry maintains that glyphosate is minimally toxic to humans, research published in the Journal Entropy strongly argues otherwise by shedding light on exactly how glyphosate disrupts mammalian physiology.
Authored by Anthony Samsel and Stephanie Seneff of MIT, the paper investigates glyphosate’s inhibition of cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes, an overlooked component of lethal toxicity to mammals.” …

and, just to add,…
“Also, the use of Roundup on food crops before harvest, to ‘dry and ripen’ them, is a vital topic. For example, I just received a note from the UK indicating that farmers use Roundup on potatoes before harvest. The Roundup goes to the tubers, which means people are eating extra herbicide.” — Jon Rappoport

It is interesting to note that the gluten content of the hybrid wheat introduced in the ’80s is approximately seven times higher than its predecessor. Your comment regarding Roundup is valid but as you suggested, I believe that gluten intolerance is very real and also the coverup of this phenomenon is also very real. When was the last time a nutritionist was heard to advise against wheat? They insist that whole grain is better (which I don’t buy into) but will never speak out against their employers, the Grain and Dairy Industries.
