The Magic Theater has wide implications. It puts imagination into action right away. No contemplation necessary.
From the beginning of the theatrical tradition in ancient Greece, there has always been a sense of the power inherent in acting roles. Quite naturally, the actor begins to realize that the conventional perception of reality is quite limited.
The roles people take on in “real life” generate a certain amount and quality of energy. This is like filling up a bottle by dipping it in the ocean. The rest of the ocean (energy) is left over, never to be used.
But in the Magic Theater, where many roles are improvised, greater and greater areas of the ocean become available.
This is particularly true because some of the roles in the Magic Theater are much more imaginative than ordinary life would permit. And yet it’s easy to take on such roles. It’s as if people have been waiting for the opportunity.
And now that opportunity is here.
