Pot smokers beware: killer pesticides, poison

Pot smokers beware: killer pesticides, poison

by Jon Rappoport

Pot smokers, environmentalists, and just plain humans: take notice.

A recent article in The Atlantic reveals highly toxic pesticides are being used on illegal pot farms in California, and the runoff is poisoning forests.

I’ll quote extensively from the article and then make comments:

“Secret growers are taking advantage of the state’s remote stretches of public land—and the environmental impact is severe.”

“…this past November, [California] residents voted ‘yes’ on Proposition 64, making California the fifth state to legalize recreational pot. Almost two-thirds of the country’s total legal harvest comes from the Golden State…” [poisoned pot shipped everywhere]

“The lethal poisons growers use to protect their crops and campsites from pests are annihilating wildlife, polluting pristine public lands, and maybe even turning up in your next bong hit.”

“…grow sites tested positive for carbofuran, a neurotoxic insecticide that is so nasty it has been banned in the U.S., Canada and the EU. Farmers in Kenya have used it to kill lions. Symptoms of exposure range from nausea and blurred vision to convulsions, spontaneous abortions, and death….”

“Some 50 different toxicants have turned up at grow sites… Growers use the poisons to keep rodents and other animals from eating the sugar-rich sprouting plants, from gnawing on irrigation tubing, and from invading their campsites in search of food. Acute rodenticides cause neurological damage and internal bleeding. Animals literally drown in their own blood or stumble around until they’re eaten themselves, passing the poison up the food chain to predators like owls and fishers.”

“’It’s a massive problem,’ says Craig Thompson, a wildlife ecologist with the U.S. Forest Service. ‘People don’t tend to grasp the industrial scale of what’s going on. There are thousands of these sites in places the public thinks are pristine, with obscene amounts of chemicals at each one. Each one is a little environmental disaster’.”

“Gabriel [biologist] and Thompson fear the poisons could spread far beyond each grow site and contaminate the water supply of towns and cities far downstream. The toxicants can leach into the soil and linger for years. Using water monitors, Gabriel has already found organophosphates—nerve agents used to make insecticides and certain types of chemical weapons—several hundred meters downhill from grow sites.”

“’These guys aren’t growing for the legal recreational market or medical dispensaries—they’re growing to exploit a black market somewhere,’ says Mark Higley, a wildlife biologist with the Hoopa Tribe in Humboldt County, whose reservation has seen an explosion in illegal grow sites. While there is no proof that illegal pot ends up in the burgeoning legal market, many familiar with the industry suspect it does.”

“Law enforcement officials think many trespass grows are set up [on government land] by Mexican drug cartels, which prefer to ship marijuana from state to state rather than smuggle it over the international border. Growers arrested during raids are often undocumented immigrants in their 20s from Michoacan, experienced in covert agriculture and hard living. They earn around $150 a day for two-to-four months, much more than they would at a farm or winery.”

“Captured growers sometimes claim their employers are holding their families hostage until the harvest is collected. Whether or not that’s true, they’re motivated to protect the crop. Hendrickson estimates between a quarter and half of raids turn up some kind of weapon, from crossbows to automatic rifles. He has found elevated sniper positions set up near grow sites.”

“Just walking through rows of plants coated with toxic chemicals can be enough to bring on symptoms like lethargy and headaches—let alone spending hours cutting them down in the hot sun under the wash of a helicopter. Gabriel [biologist] and his employees have started getting monthly blood tests to check for pesticide exposure.”

“Some chemical threats are more immediate. At one site Gabriel was inspecting an unfamiliar container full of aluminum phosphide, a poisonous powder used to kill rodents and insects. It had gasified and built up pressure in the heat of the sun. When he touched it, it exploded in his face. Luckily he was wearing a hazmat respirator.”

“’My biggest fear is that some kid will come across one of those bottles,” Thompson says. ‘Carbofuran is pink, it looks like Pepto, like candy. Can you imagine what a five-year-old would do with that?’”

—-end of Atlantic excerpt—

So the contamination and the poison are in the land, in the water, in animals, and in the marijuana people smoke.

This is not the first time, in recent years, that pot has been found to contain pesticides. A quick search will turn up a number of articles. However, the level of toxicity here in these California pot farms is extreme, to say the least.

Where are the growers buying their banned pesticides? Mexico? On the black market in the US?

How can pot smokers be sure they’re smoking clean product? For example, are legal dispensaries working with proper labs to test many, many samples? In these tests, how many pesticide compounds are covered? How many aren’t?

Over time, stories like the one in The Atlantic come and go, and people forget them. But that would be a mistake.

People who use marijuana often reply to stories like this with the claim they know that a great deal of pot is pure, and their suppliers are ethical. One hopes that’s true, but is it?

If some, most, or all of these highly contaminated pot farms in California are run by Mexican drug cartels, don’t expect state or federal law enforcement to solve the problem. It isn’t going to happen. The resources aren’t there, and neither is the determination.

The government of California considers the state to be a sanctuary for illegal immigrants. So how is the government going to stop some of these immigrants from becoming illegal pot growers who deploy highly dangerous chemicals on a daily basis?

As for the California forests and rivers, government agencies are far behind the curve. The illegal growers are, in effect, staging wide-ranging random attacks on the environment.

This has nothing to do with a “progressive attitude” toward pot.

It has everything to do with criminals seeding the land with poison.

And it is yet one more consequence of the unchecked and unprosecuted growth of the pesticide industry, in which, over many decades, corporations have been manufacturing and selling all sorts of heinous poisons—“better living through chemistry”—reversing centuries of agricultural practice that fed populations good clean food.

I remember back in the day (1970’s in S.W. AZ &S.E. CA) when you could get a brick for $50.00 – $100.00. That’s when our beloved government was spraying Mexican Ditch with Paraquat. People still smoked it anyways. I guess just like food, you should grow your own. With medical marijuana becoming excepted nationally it will be only a matter of time till this is GMO, and full of BT toxin, Round up, Dicamba, 2-4- D, fungicides, neonicotinoids, and God knows what else! It’s a toxic world out there, and no one seems to give a rats ass!

  2. After just living through the assault of Hurricane Irma the true wonderment of the episode was the heavy geo-engineering taking place about 24hrs before landfall.

Agreed on all points. I was actually talking to the air component in the post and geo-engineering being a likely – if not obvious – culprit. I’ve read that your Mt Shasta is quite contaminated from the like.

A great expose on part of marijuana’s darkside. The flawed prohibitionist rhetoric has been unseated by marijuana advocates’ equally fallacious arguments. These ‘progressives’ will have you believing pot is going to save the world -right after they finish smoking this bowl. Spend your life drugged up by a plant! There’s no downside!

Top off your designer GMO herbs with some toxic pesticides.

Go through your day in a waking coma with modern-day Soma!

      Prescott
Ah finally someone arrives who irons his underware…and burps an unqualified remark.
To bad there wasn’t any truth in it, but being a victim of the war on drugs, doesn’t mean you have to actually do them.

Cannabis saves lives. And fucks the pharmaceutical company up the ass. From headaches to pain, to anxiety and many of the ills of the body. Cannabis can be a salve to promotes speedy healing. A tincture for aches and persistant joint pain.

No one has ever died from an overdose of Cannabis.
Cannabis unlike the above commenter prescott, does not cause a waking coma. in fact intelligence increases, with cannabis use. Multiple studies have proven this.

Braindead Prescott would be ignorant to the fact that colleges students in a study who smoked cannabis during drinking sessions had less brain damage than those who didn’t. Because of cannabis ability to neuroprotect.
It can be used in a multiple of remedies too numerous to list here.

I can see you haven’t a clue what cannabis does, but you have an opinion, are you one of those cranky old farts that drinks cheap beer. And smacks the pope around all day.

There is no dark side to cannabis, we have been living with it for a long, long time. the only darkside, is creepy ole fucks like yourself who write fake comments about its use.

Modern day propagandists like Jon Rappoport and yourself who have no knowledge of the little plant but got big fucking opinions. There is no Cannabis darkside.
One does not need to get high to achieve the great benifits of cannabis. One can include cannabis in the day, and never ever get high; they can wash with it, they can a write a letter or draw on its fine paper. They can eat it, or use some of the fine cosmetics that are made from it. It makes incredibly strong and durable building materials. The cloth is far superior to cotton.

      Cannabis:
Less dangerous than the cigarettes you smoke.
Promotes neurogenesis; whereas alchohol kills brains cells.
The seeds are nutritious and high in protein and rare micronutrients
      Stops epileptic seizure instantly.
Makes old cranky old guys sphincter muscles contract just from hearing the word marijuana.

And list goes on…and on, so Prescott go piss up a rope ya fucking wanker, ya don’t know what your talking about.

Adult neurogenesis, the creation of new neurons in brain, is an exciting field of study when so much of what surrounds us is causing deterioration and destruction of neurons. Whither it be prescription drugs; alcohol; our food, and the environment; chemicals falling from the sky in the form of chem-trails. Aggressive sports cause the destruction of neurons, pollution and the simply act of driving your car reduce neurons, carbon monoxide is detrimental to the neurons in the brain. The trick is to counter-measure that destruction. That intake of heavy metals like Aluminum and mercury, and improper diet, WiFi and electronic pollution and age lead to the things like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. These are not normal states…

….and so a few studies to open the mind on the benefits of Cannabanoids in neurogenesis (the creation or stimulation of growth of new brain cells).

Cannabinoids promote embryonic and adult hippocampus neurogenesis and produce anxiolytic- and antidepressant-like effects.

          https://www.jci.org/articles/view/25509

          Effects of cannabinoids:

“Some studies have shown that the stimulation of the cannabinoids results in the growth of new nerve cells in the hippocampus from both embryonic and adult stem cells. In 2005 a clinical study of rats at the University of Saskatchewan showed regeneration of nerve cells in the hippocampus.[78] Studies have shown that a synthetic drug resembling THC, the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, provides some protection against brain inflammation, which might result in better memory at an older age. This is due to receptors in the system that can also influence the production of new neurons.[79] Nonetheless, a study directed at Rutgers University demonstrated how synchronization of action potentials in the hippocampus of rats was altered after THC administration. Lack of synchronization corresponded with impaired performance in a standard test of memory.[80] Recent studies indicate that a natural cannabinoid of cannabis, cannabidiol (CBD), increases adult neurogenesis while having no effect on learning. THC however impaired learning and had no effect on neurogenesis.[81] A greater CBD to THC ratio in hair analyses of cannabis users correlates with protection against gray matter reduction in the right hippocampus.[82] CBD has also been observed to attenuate the deficits in prose recall and visuo-spatial associative memory of those currently under the influence of cannabis,[83][84] implying neuroprotective effects against heavy THC exposure. Neurogenesis might play a role in its neuroprotective effects, but further research is required.”

      • Sue says:

I’m with you. My question is (and I think I know the answer) why is the government against people growing their own? That way, organic would be guaranteed.

Before it was declared illegal, it grew wild on the outskirts of my grandfather’s farm. He harvested it, dried it, and used it, himself. And he was a hardworking guy, laboring 6 long days a week, sometimes 7. He was never in a ‘waking coma.’

        • Prescott says:

Of course he was never in a waking coma because what he had wasn’t hybridized designer marijuana. What’s commonly available now likely has THC levels hundreds of times greater than the wild plants grown naturally on a farm. Now there are even waxes and oils that are 90-99% THC.

Have you ever seen someone who is “dabbed out?”

We’re not dealing with your granddaddy’s pot anymore.

And why doesn’t the government want people to grow their own pot? Because if you grow something yourself, your consumption of that product cannot be controlled.

Drugs have been used as a method of control throughout history. The British destroyed China with opium. Huxley, Wasson, Leary, and the rest of the MKULTRA crew pushed psychedelics (word coined by Dr. Henry Osmund, Aldous Huxley’s personal physician) onto the gullible baby-boomers to ruin American culture.

“The role of drugs in the exercise of political control is also coming under increasing discussion. Control can be through prohibition or supply. The total or even partial prohibition of drugs gives the government considerable leverage for other types of control. An example would be the selective application of drug laws permitting immediate search, or “no knock” entry, against selected components of the population such as members of certain minority groups or political organizations.

But a government could also supply drugs to help control a population. This method, foreseen by Aldous Huxley in Brave New World (1932), has the governing element employing drugs selectively to manipulate the governed in various ways.”
          – Louis Jolyon West

Over and over again we see the false dialectic. Both sides of the debate are controlled.

Do you think marijuana is special? Has this drug miraculously escaped the grimy hands of the controllers? I wouldn’t bet on it.

          • Sue says:

I guess you missed the part where I added “I think I know the answer.” Government has always wanted to control everything, especially the people.

          • Michael says:

Waking coma; you’ll have to learn to use metaphors more like the truth, than you are, a waking coma is as unlikely as being, dead tired, or flying high.

Yes there is street weed which has been established over decades if not hundreds of years. That is very high in Tetrahydrocannabinol. It seems as cannabis becomes more quality; street dealers are left to punching up the THC into higher ranges, in order to compete. It is crap, has always been crap, and probably always will be crap. If you buy of the street, you are asking for trouble. There are legitimate high quality dispensaries and growers were excellent cannabis can be obtained at a reasonable price. Clean, safe, and uncorrupted.

Waxes and oils that are 90-99 %, are an outright lie. That is almost pure THC; THC crystalline can have THC values in the 90-99%, but then in is not weed anymore, it is crystal. Oil or wax contain a multitude of cannabinoids and essential oils, terpenes. Waxes and oils are distilled from the plant, so much is inside that material. THC, CBD’s, and CBN’s and there are many along with the essentential oils ranging to somewhere around 113 different cannabinoids, and about 140 different essential oils. Most of these are Terpenoids, monoterpenes, and sestiquiterpenes. They range almost variably in the aromatic. Quite sweet and exotic in their odors.

Each one of these oils has its own vaporizing temperature, and generally will not cause one to become high. But are beneficial; to the human body. THC is what cause the high. CBN and CBD act on the multitude of receptors in the endocanabinoid systems

“…THC levels hundreds of times greater than the wild plants grown naturally on the farm”

Hundreds of times greater, you exaggerate wildly here. Or you do not know what you are talking about. Which I think is the latter. You aim is not to inform the commenter but to scare the hell out of them, And that kind of crap I have been fighting my whole life Prescott. You are the war on drugs; and an enlightening society wishes for truth, and to make their own minds up while still being truthfully informed.

I have  great knowledge of cannabis, the growing, the extraction of oils and the making of soaps and lotions, and salves and tinctures; each one distinct in its human value. So be careful with your lies and fallacies.

I have been smoking , eating and using cannabis products the greater period of my life Prescott. I use it for recreation, and like any thing that is an intoxicant it is used in moderation. There is a difference in cannabis smoked and cannabis eaten. Two different effects and different outcomes. I use it for illness, and food, my wife makes tinctures and salves.

Now I have heard of individuals who smoke cannabis and get anxiety and paranoid; that is a contaminated product that will cause such things and some people just can’t handle weed, or they buy it from the wrong people, they buy it from the street. Some cannot handle intoxication on alcohol, or even pharmaceuticals. That is ok too, but that outcome does not qualify as the truth, that you purport here.

The human body has its own Endocannabinoids system and produces cannabinoids naturally as all mammals do. That has been going on for thousands of years. And the endocannabinol system is part of the immune response of a human. so be careful or you will throw the baby ou with the bath water.

Your body holds numbers of cannabinoid receptors, and they are different in the lower body and organs as compared to the head and brain, ears and eyes. Wherein Indicas are good for pain and are generally received by the lower body. Sativas are attractive to the head the multiple of receptors in the head.

Sativas are great for migraines, depression, convulsions, and seizures, anxiety etc…

Indicas are great for salves and skin itch and pain, they are great for back aches and muscle aches, parasites and eating disorders and fighting the lethargy and malaise of cancer chemotherapy.

Cannabis is a known cancer fighter, it is superb in the treatment of epilepsy and Alzheimers, in its promotion of neurogenesis.

I have been using cannabis well on forty-five years, and yes the strains have gotten numerous, but there have been break through in CBD and CBN extraction for use in fighting cancer and a long list of maladies from restless leg syndrome to menustrational cramps, headaches and chronic pain. THC values as compared to CBD and CBN values are gauged to help with different ailments.

I have seen its use in dogs and have seen the miracle of an epileptic dog quit the seizures upon administering CBD. I am saying instant. It also works this way with children.

Reputable Cannabis dispensaries exist that grow a great product, cannabis has to be grown organically in these dispensaries as pesticides and herbicides corrupt the product and change the chemistry of that product. Growers take their work seriously, and a lot of dispensaries rely on honest growers for that superior product.

Granted as in any industry there can be deplorables…but that is not the whole industry.

Cannabis is a durable healthy and plant of greater quality, easily grown, it can be made into cloths as fine as any linen, and strong. Blue jeans originally were made from this product until the war on drugs. Which you seem to have taken up the gauntlet.

Cannabis as hemp, can be made into plywood that have a tensile strength greater than wood’ it can be made in to a rich and potent food oil, that is high in medium chain glycerides. Full with micronutrients vacant in other vegetable oils and foods. Hemp oil is used in soaps and perfumes and ointments.

Hulled hemp seeds are a very good source of protein, I eat them with everything, in salads, soups.

You went off into psychedelics as what some straw man argument…adding punch to you troll Prescott. And you speak of critical thought. Your straw man drags cannabis implicit to the category of psychedelics and MK Ultra and opium to baby boomers and American culture ruined. I’m a boomer, and American culture was fucked when I got here. Cannabis has nothing to do with that, unless you are looking to discredit, instead of inform.

Cannabis belongs in a lower classification than heroin or cocaine, it belongs with alcohol and cigarettes, they do more damage than cannabis ever will. You place cannabis in the arena with drugs; drugs are manufactured Prescott, like opium to heroin or pharmaceutical opioids. Weed is dried and cured like tobacco. Is it a drug? Is sugar a drug? Or is a drug manufactured with other chemicals.

Cannabis is creative and energetic, it can lower inhibitions in the awkward. It leaves one with a euphoria, and joy. it is wholsome without the druggness of SSRI’s, and it is not addictive. depression is cured by it not managed.

You don’t like or agree with cannabis use, that’s ok; and it does not agree with you, and that’s ok…but stop with bad mouth, stop with the lies, and with your special type of propaganda slick. You special kind of bias and hatred for something you know very little about…

      • Prescott says:

MIcheal, I’m a 22 year old college student who smoked marijuana for 6 years before breaking the habit a year ago. I heard all the rhetoric spouted from Marijuana advocates and believed it for a time. But I also have my own, extensive, personal experience.

Smoking marijuana certainly interfered with my ability to concentrate, and as the plant got more and more potent (not to mention the rise of oils and wax) I found myself becoming more anxious and apathetic every time I smoked weed; Towards the end, I was wasting time and money and didn’t even feel good.

Here’s my current perspective in a nutshell: Marijuana is a drug that alters your perceptions. It’s not the worst thing it the world, and has benefits. Chronic use has serious downsides, most notably hindering ambition. Simply put, if you have dreams and desires beyond the couch, smoking marijuana won’t get you there.

Your argument is… exactly what I’ve come to expect from the apostles of cannabis.

There are 9 personal attacks against me based on the bizarre assumption that I’m an old man who drinks beer (wrong on both counts).

The medical research and studies you mention misses the point. I never said that cannabis had no benefits. The fact that “no one has ever died from cannabis” is completely irrelevant to my argument. Cannabis is less dangerous than alcohol and cigarettes- equally irrelevant. Something can be less harmful than another substance but still have negative effects.

Nowhere do I say cannabis is a inherently bad substance, and I even called the “War on Drugs'” flawed. So nothing you’ve presented here contradicts my argument in anyway.

You’ve provided evidence for my initial premise: the rhetoric of marijuana activists is riddled with fallacies and poor reasoning.

Do you see that the propaganda is on both sides of this issue? You’re echoing the words of others without a critical thought. Look how personally involved you got, flinging insults willy-nilly without even asking why this person would hold such a belief. Why does criticism of a plant make you resort to personal attacks? Why does this stir an emotional reaction in you?

  6. J-Dart says:

Herbicide and pesticide residues on marijuana (and possibly cocaine, opium, et al) may be responsible for more pathologies than anyone so far suspects. While thimerosol and adjuvants in vaccines are showing some correlation with autism plus other defective conditions, it may be that parents who smoked contaminated pot at a younger age may be passing along something in their genes, seminal fluid (with males) or bloodstream (for mothers-to-be) resulting in autism, birth defects and other late-formation defects with their offspring.

Prescription medications from an earlier time my have lacked sufficient purity resulting in deleterious conditions we see. It would require a lot of research into causative effects to establish the breakdown we see in various health conditions today. Despite all the exercise, fitness craziness and health consciousness with many people, there has been a downside experienced with other members of the population which did not exist decades ago.

  7. Reefer Madness says:

There were some cases in Denver of cannabis treated with pesticides that made people sick.
That dispensary quickly went under as word spread.
It will only get worse when big corporate takes over the cannabusiness and tells Alabama man Jeff Sessions to go stuff it.
I always laugh my ass off at people who have never smoked the first hit but yet think they are experts on cannabis.
They probably think Cheech and Chong is a documentary and those “maggot infested dopesmokers” are going to raid their munchies pantry in a stoned stupor.
My brother with stage III cancer is doing very well by using the non-intoxcating ingredient of cannabis (CBD) every day.
Our family will use cannabis over the poison pushed by big pharma thank you very much.
Do you want to know how to make sure your cannabis is pure?
Grow it yourself if you are lucky enough to live in a state where it is legal.

    • Or just grow it anyway.
Shining is illegal. I do it anyway. People need to stop listening to arbitrary “authority”.
There is no such thing as legitimate external authority. Period. Full stop. For all time and space.

      • Sue says:

Yeah, a lot of people are saying that, too, from behind bars.

        • honestliberty says:

          It’s that mindset.
          Fear!
Be creative, be stealth. Stop bowing down to “your” “rulers”
God I swear this is a nation built by men and it’s crumbling because of fucking children. Grown ass children. For the love of God people grow up. The creator is supposedly all love yet you live in fear because you obey man. That’s irony

          • Sue says:

Oh, I do use creativity and stealth, constantly, in order to protect the lives under my protection. I’ve also taken on the entire police department where I worked over illegal and unethical acts of cruelty, and while I paid a price for that, it did not escalate to the level they hinted it might (I imagined my house on fire, and a lot more) even though they sabotaged my car, and tried more than once to arrange an “unfortunate accident” for me.

But when the illegal action is only something I might like to have, or do, I weigh the risk ratio against what will happen to those who depend on me for their care.

  8. Theodore says:

Hey man, got any organically grown weed, man?

  9. truth1 says:

Well, as I see it, that “growers” are poisoning to reduce loss of crops; if they have not already, governments will pay them to do more poisoning. Many people smoke weed. I suspect they have been working together anyway. Its another one of those paradigms of left vs right, when in reality, they are both on the same side.

Both know they can work together and profit together. Why it would be crazy not to. and we got collectivism to thank for it. From herding the kids by age in school, to pushing them to join various activities after school, esp. high school, then adulthood, joining political parties, churches, and other BS stuff. More boroughs being added to cities; and more “bases/nations” added to USA military operations; and joint venture intelligence operations of various nations; to making one nation out of Europe and uniting areas in “free” (for who?) trade for the rich but not the rest of us.

Even if you restarted to individual farms for all, it no time at all, some greedy bass-tards would soon go to work in secret and swear nothing was going on till they had us all enslaved cause we luvs to trust and not question anything. We are lazy sloths who don’t want to burden our minds even slightly in our behalf. We want others to do that for us.

The obvious solution is to do all things for our selves, but hell would sooner freeze over and the Easter Bunny bail us out than for that to happen. I don’t have anything against the Easter Bunny per say, but I think it would be over his head, too. Besides, I had heard he had retired. He was upset that the candy was hurting the kids. Well, at least someone cares about them. Its sure ain’t most of us.

    • Michael says:

      truth1:
Nah he ain’t retired, he’s flopped out at my place. Depressed as hell over this candy thing, high fructose corn syrup has him feeling like a drug thug. And the guy a friggin saint…if ya ask me.
He’s losing fur, won’t eat…I buy em organic carrots. He’s all patchy with pink spots. My dog likes him though. I find him and the dog in my stash in the basement.
He goes missing sometimes for days, and I find him cruisin the local Scritcher’s parties.
      He’s a mess T1

We need to be careful here. Cannabis oil was used to ease or cure over 250 health complaints in the 1850’s. Coming back into vogue in the 1930’s, it was “inexplicably” (pharma lobby) banned (from memory) in 1939. Cannabis opens “other doors”.

Talking of smoking pot. Well without it, a few of my readers are going to be rendered speechless after attempting to digest my latest article. In fact I’m not sure if being stoned is going to help too much. The opening paragraph gives little away:

“As “human being” is probably one of those better examples to demonstrate the paradox of converging genetic provenance, I have instinctively avoided tackling the convoluted heritage we choose to call “man”. If (for instance) deep origins stem from an Anunaki identity concept (intimated in various Sumerian ancient texts) that goes [way] beyond physical, then we must seriously reflect on the probability mankind heralds from darkness, which is everything chaotic or soulfully passionate. Yet how could the committed researcher possibly factor unemotionally logical Sirian (a definite component of human DNA as evidenced in the cerebral cortex) into the equation? When the Gnostics, the last bastion of civilised Atlantis order, celebrated anything and everything with light qualities, they knew that logos (or logic) is brilliance. To the keen minded ancient Roman Sol Invictus and Babylon’s Amon Re (Ra) sun worship “cults” propose very different spiritual interpretations than traditional historic accounts theorise. “Light qualities” include predispositions such as reason and conscience. These are a staple of Sirian character and there lays the giant paradox, as witnessed in hu-man…”

How much of this Atlantic article is poison pen? How do we know that this article is not just a setup to scare people away from the current growers of weed and to lead them instead to the corporate or government grown weed that is inevitably coming our way? Where is the interview with a grower? This is certainly not fair and balanced journalism!

How much herbicide is in our oatmeal?

    • Jacqueline says:

Quaker Oats strawberries and cream instant was found to contain 1,376 ppb of glyphosate; Europe believes a limit of around 2 ppb to be a realistically safer number. Are we all humming that old Roberta Flack song “Killing Me Softly” yet?

    • Michael says:

How much herbicide is in the neighbour’s lawn?

      • Interesting how there is no comparison.
I’m of the mind there is some serious propaganda from the Atlantic to the tune of what thx was saying

Funny ya say that Honest, what an intelligent fellow you are..all that lone time on the range keeping ya sharp, and I’ll bet its the neurogenesis.

I have a theory on what ya said…would ya like to hear it?…

Okie dokie then, here we go…

In every state in United States, the DEA still wages, a war on Cannabis. Even though twenty-four states have laws allowing the use of cannabis in some capacity, either medical or recreational use.

The biological and chemical assault on cannabis cultivation continues through the, Domestic Cannabis Eradication/Suppression Program (DCE/SP). A joint operatoion with local law enforcement.

You can google that, or as I do, use the ole StartPage. Or DuckDuckGo or DuckAndRun.

Forcing growers into more desolate locations for their growing operations places pressures on the environment. Legitimately their are always assholes in the business. But quality cannabis is stressed that the plants be grown with no herbicides, pesticides, artificial fertilizers and no biological needs. Dispensaries have very high standards..scusah the pun.

The DEA through their Cannabis eradication programs operating and funded in all of the states, used methods are that dangerous and toxic to the environment. They are pround of how many plants they destroy in a year, they keep score. And pay $4.17 a plant to local law enforcement to destroy them. Quite an incentive. and use confiscated wealth from busts to pay for the game , planes and auromobiles used. The use of Round-up sprayed from helicopter and planes. Its application by manual sprayers have increased the toxic chemicals ending up in stream and the land. the introduction of biological pests also effect that raw environment, introducing species that normally would not exist in those natural settings. But that can ruin a nice organic crop. A majority of the good growers would use Neem oil, or some such wisdom, the wisdom of Ed Rosenthal at Qaksterdam University.

With the reversing of evidence of polluting and placing the blame on those nasty fucking stoners, and we all know their immoral and can’t be trusted, right…*wink wink*… as well as being stoners, places the blame for these incidents on the growers. Who would doubt? I think Henry Horner wouldn’t.

Getting some scribbler from Atlantic to do a little propaganda piece is a bonus and get the feds of the hook. The thing of it is, they think that way.

Most fertilers used in Cannabis growing is organic; sheep shit, bat guano, sea weed, mushroom mix; every good grower has his own recipe.

          • honestliberty says:

Hey man, I’ve been reading mostly and busy at work so no time to respond. Also, just setting up the still and all the research that goes into it. Getting ready for hunting season, all that jazz.
I wish I was on the range.

It’s funny, I’m not a user of Cannabis but I recognize and appreciate it’s glory. As you said, moderation. That’s the key.

Part of me thinks this Atlantic piece is another talking point for the agenda 21/2030 long con. Just like always, the self anointed ones proclaim one bad Apple ruins it for the rest. You can’t be trusted with the Earth… Banished from the garden! Now stay in your luxury mixed use, unaffordable downtown condos!

I’m one of those ex Cannabis users that use to abuse it, and it typically made me very anxious/paranoid/lazy… But the key word is abuse. I don’t think I’d have been able to break free from the illusion of external authority without Cannabis or mushrooms.
However that was college and in Colorado I’ve found a great blend called sinamint that is roughly 65% sativa(I think, it’s been a year or so), I believe, and my fiance and I used to enjoy a puff or to while drinking, and even then very rarely. It was about 8 to 10% thc, which I’ve found to be perfect. In that scenario it was just enough to give me the giggles and dance, without all the doom and gloom introspection.

I can’t afford to use it now lest i fuck up at work and get tested. Glazing is dangerous.

Anywho, I’m over these puritanical fanatics that misunderstand The Creator and think it’s some entity that puts arbitrary rules on man. Sorry folks, that’s your fault! You know? Stop exhalting man and obeying his rules. But they won’t listen.

I’ve been teeing off on statists and I know I should be polite but ugh, they test my patience. Truth be told though I’ve still got plenty of childish/emotionally immature tendencies, but rather than comprise my worldview, they are merely lingering effects of lacking discipline. I can be fixed, these damn people should know by now.

And finally, Cannabis is a naturally occurring plant. That’s all I need to know to support it. The rest is man’s politkin’

Rural California grapples with ‘green rush’ of pot growers…

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/rural-california-grapples-green-rush-080323140.html

Law enforcement officials say they have raided [unpermitted] farms where they have found pesticides [herbicides?] that are banned in the U.S.

the devastating 2015 wildfire helped launch the county’s green rush. The fire leveled subdivisions and wooded areas, turning them into attractive farmland. Former homeowners sold their flattened lots to outside growers armed with cash and betting the county would issue permits to grow.
